Your character backstory of Legacy kinda inspired mine.

Asper Willow (my MC) was considered a squib. And he was heavily mistreated by his pureblood family because of it. One day, at age of 15, at a family gathering in July, after a lot of insults and attacks, he snapped, sending a huge table over the wall, breaking it. His family then, after realizing he is indeed a wizard, started to treat him differently, with more respect, except one member: his brother Rumos Willow. After a chaotic adventure before getting to Hogwarts, Asper gets sorted into Slytherin, mainly for his ambition to become the most powerful wizard of all time, as he sees that the more powerful he is, the more people respect him, and no one will look down on him, ever again. Once he finds out he can see and wield Ancient Magic, oh boy, he will do whatever it takes to harness as much of it as he can: lying, manuplating and backstabing whoever he needs to

Yeah, you can see he is a bit messed up. But I plan him to improve throught the story. I also plan on giving other characters more development. Mainly, Isadora is the main villian, not Ranrok. I have a little twist in my sleeve that may have already been used, but yeah, Ranrok is not the main villian. I actually have a touching scene with him and Asper: Ranrok giving the gauntlent we saw him using, and Asper promising he will return it after he dies

First of all, the name "Asper Willow" is freaking beautiful, it just rolls off the tongue so nicely and gives an edge that I can dig. And I'm already feeling both pity and fear at how powerful he is with no training and the anger that would fuel that power. Come to think of it, if magic builds up over time without being recognized, is it possible that it could grow stronger? Y'know, like aging a Scotch? Is that why The Fifth Year, and other "late bloomers" are in tune with Ancient Magic? Is that why Obscurials like Credence Barebone are so powerful?

I'm already curious about Rumos. I both dislike him...and also strangely respect him? At least he, unlike the rest of the family, isn't disingenuous. At least he didn't change his behavior or his treatment of Asper for no good reason. It's funny, I've been working on siblings for Peri, and I actually did give him one that he still doesn't get along with called Athena. (Goin' for that Greek theme, oh yeah.) And just hearing that Asper will do anything for more power...oh this is so boss and so scary. I suppose I don't need to ask about whether he harnesses the Ancient Magic at the end or not, but now I am curious about whether he stands with Sebastian or betrays him...

Honestly, the more I think about it, and the more of Akemi Stormborn's Let's Play that I watch...the more I think to myself that this was a wasted opportunity. Politics aside, Ranrok's potential aside...he's just pretty boring, at least in how he's presented in the released game, compared to Isidora. She mirrors The Fifth Year in so many ways and her descent into darkness was very well handled. Can I just say that I love that moment you described between Ranrok and Asper. That is exactly what we should have gotten. Imagine MC and Ranrok discovering an artifact together and the player can choose how to react, with there being an option to immediately say, "Who was it's maker? Do they have any living kin?" And Ranrok just. Stops. And stares at them. Like he doesn't dare believe what he's hearing.

Just. The potential of this game was limitless and I will be forever sad at how it fell so short of that. It's still an enchanting adventure, but I can see the truly breathtaking adventure it might have been, hidden between the lines...

Sorry it doesn't have a good quality, gettin' back to my hobby it's kind of refreshing, however, I completly forgot how to size my canvas >_< anyways... For those folks who don't know these are Izumi Miyazaki and Felicia Bennett, both are my MCs from HPHL and HPHM, they're related so... yup. I wrote a few facts of them just to give a little context

Izumi is Felicia's distant relative (from her mother's side)

He used to study at Mahoutokoro school of magic but in his fifth year he decided to go on an exchange to Hogwarts

Following the previous fact, my HL lore is related to @tiny-chiro 's, both families are in good terms and him and Elizabeth are good BEST friends

Izumi was the first one in the family who got diagnosed with albinism, so he's the reason why Felicia has this same characteristic (and most part of the family)

Both Felicia and Izumi have something with butterflies, at least they feel secure when they are around those insects

It can't be said if she truly loves him, but she's kept him under her song for close to two decades now and protected him the whole time, so she certainly favors him

Father: A pureblood wizard who has never been lucid enough to remember his own name, though typically goes by 'Bertie'. He seems perfectly happy, but it can't be known for sure. It is obvious, however, that he truly loves his daughter, seeming most sane when he is with her

Aunts: Various sirens that give terrible advice, unless you're looking for a revenge plan

Pets: An owl named Seafoam that Esme got before her first day of school. Seafoam stays at Nerida's house over summer break, just in case

Family Dynamic: Esme loves her parents dearly and can sometimes be purposefully naive about the whole situation. She knows it isn't right for her father to be trapped like he is, but she can't work up the courage to ask her mother for his freedom out of fear she'll never see him again, and she can't deny how safe she feels when she's nestled in her mother's deadly arms

- The friendship started off very weird and uncomfortable with poor Nerida's merfolk obsession, but Esme did appreciate someone thinking she was cool rather than terrifying. Once Nerida calmed down a little and Esme opened up more, the two became loser besties together. Esme still refuses to bring Nerida home to meet her mother no matter how much she begs, but she will answer any questions now that she trusts her and supports her dream of being a merfolk ambassador

Frenemy: Imelda Reyes

- Imelda claims she's not mad about Nerida, but she definitely is. They don't really get along, but will be the first to defend the other if someone else says anything. Sometimes they have late night 'bonding' sessions where they just bitch about everyone else. A formidable team during Quidditch, somehow able to sense each others' moves before they happen

Friend She Didn't Expect: Poppy Sweeting

- Poppy was never the type to talk to her fellow humans, and Esme always assumed that if Poppy did talk to her, it would be much in the same way as Nerida used to. The events of fifth year force them to converse, and thankfully, Poppy accepts that Esme refuses to speak about her siren heritage much. They become rather close through hunting poachers

Future

In June of 1891, Esme stumbles upon a Dark Arts arena while exploring and is roped into the fight. Here she gives in to her morbid curiosity and casts as many Unforgivables as she pleases. Surely, the use of them is justified - these people had all agreed to the risks, why shouldn't she cast them? Still, the addictive quality of the power frightens her and once she wins, she vows to never use the curses again... except in emergencies. Probably.

In April of 1893, Esme has the dreaded talk with her mother: asking to free her father. Her mother is unhappy and refuses. Esme asks again shortly before graduation, stating that she wants him to be able to come since neither her mother nor her aunts could attend. Her mother is still displeased, but reluctantly agrees. Esme activates her own song on her father once her mother's is released so that she can walk him to the nearby hamlet safely, and then frees him. He's too disoriented after spending nearly twenty years under song to take care of himself; she checks him into St. Mungos (difficult without knowing his real identity). He's well enough to attend graduation.

In August of 1895, Nerida is allowed to visit the sirens while under Esme's song. Throughout the visit, Esme makes sure to instruct Nerida to "remember" so that she can write all important information down later.

On December 31, 1899, Esme and Adelaide are married after dating for two and a half years. It is an outdoor, nighttime ceremony, and they are wed standing in the snow. The reception lasts long enough to ring in the new century. Before the honeymoon, Adelaide is brought home to meet Esme's mother: lucid, in a show of immense trust

As for careers, Adelaide follows in her uncle's footsteps as a metal trader, and Esme does bounty work to support her creature sanctuary with Poppy

HPHL What If? (Part 1/???)

This is a little series I hope to start up with since I want to do more with my Hogwarts Legacy characters. Basically I am going to ask a what if question and give an answer for my two main HPHL characters, Phineas and Marie, to help me better get a hang on writing for them so I can hopefully get to writing more stories if my motivation allows me. Also at the end I will mention some of the answers for my more minor characters (specifically Zsuzsi, Gladys, and Julius) so if you want elaboration on any of them or a part two please let me know! Feel free to share your OCs answer to this question! I am curious to what the reasonings would be.

Today’s question is:

If Your Character Had to Do An Exchange Program or Go To A Different Magical School Entirely Which Would They Attend?

Marie McKay

For those who know Marie this really should not be a surprise for anyone. Marie’s maternal family resides in Calais, an area in the North of France that she visits often with her parents and older brother with Marie’s own mother once attending Beauxbatons herself as a young witch. I feel like she would also enjoy the culture there and take the chance to learn more about French society. Additionally, she would also enjoy spending time with her cousins who would also attend Beauxbatons and if she came as exchange student, would happily help her get accustomed.

Phineas Hearst

I am going to go a bit backwards in explaining Phineas since it was harder to select one for him since unlike Marie, he would not have the family influence attracting him to one school over the other. I kicked out many such as Koldovstoretz, Uagadou, and Castelobruxo since they had specializations in fields such as potions, astronomy, and herbology that Phineas would not be actively seeking for in an exchange program. Additionally, he would not pick Durmstrang since his time as a fifth year in particular taught him how bad meddling with dark magic and its relations could become. I will admit, Mahoutokoro and Beauxbatons were both close but I ended up choosing Illvermorny for him because I currently have no notes about him traveling to the Americas in general yet know he would love the chance to explore the vast areas.

Rebel year - ch 2/6 - Rumour mill

Gareth has a new mission, or a few, as he waits for the gears to be set in motion, discovering who the mysterious Ruby Taurus is. As he dives deep in the rumor mill, he is stunned about the number of things people know, or don't.

As soon as he received the message from Jin, Gareth meet him one early morning in the Great Hall right before breakfast started. Suppressing a yawn, the young royal stretched as he made his way towards the Ravenclaw table “You look fresh as daisies. At what hour did you wake up?”

Checking the page number, Jin closed the book, placing it on his lap “I did not sleep.” Lifting his hand, he stopped the question before it was even addressed, instead focusing his attention on the letter he produced from his pocket “As requested my young friend.”

“Brilliant.” He said snatching it as he sat next to him “As least this will ensure Quidditch will be back.”

Cackling lightly, Jin shook his head “I do hope you have more than a false letter planed. Headmaster Black will call it off before the first broom lifts off the pitch.”

Leaning in, Gareth smirked “And here is where you are wrong. My dear, darling papa is an avid fan on the sport and a rather generous donator to the school. One word and he will force the hand in favor of my wishes. I am after all the last heir.”

“A tragic loss…” Jin spoke softy, however was abruptly interrupted by Gareth.

“Do not even say it, I do not require pity.”

Wiggling his nose lightly, Jin inhaled slowly through his nose “Death is a tragedy, a great loss. There is no shame in sadness, believe me, I know a thing or two about grief, I am after all older than you.”

Lilting his head, Gareth cocked a brow “We are in the same year. I do not recall you failing one. Did you join later?”

“Never mind. So now what?”

Slapping his hand against the table, Gareth looked around as some students started making their way to breakfast, two girls passing them, giggling as they waved, Gareth rolling his eyes, while Jin immediately looked at the floor “I hears some rumors about this new fifth year, Ruby Taurus. Who is she?”

Turning around to prepare some tea, Gareth poured himself a cup of coffee, Jin shaking his head at the habit “You are far too young to be drinking coffee.” Sniffing the air, he frowned “Or smoking for that matter, honestly, you only get a good set of lungs.” Seeing how his advice was ignored, he indulged him “The rumor mill is deep that is certain and quite abundant. You never know what is true or false, however I hear she dabbles in dark arts and this ancient magic that is a secret and somehow not. That is all I know.” Glancing at a table, he shuddered “Perhaps I am not the right person to actually be of help in this particular situation. Far better would be miss Fraser and Hexley. Might also get them off my back for a while.”

“You need to learn to speak to girls.” Gareth snickered as he searched for the girls with this eyes.

“All in due time.” opening the book back up, he sipped his tea “All in due time.”

Catching the aforementioned ladies after breakfast, Gareth greeted them both, not dogging any corners as he asked about Ruby.

Ethel looked at Selene, searching her mind “Isn’t the new transfer student a guy?”

Selene frowned slightly as she lifted her brows also trying to remember “No, no. Ruby is the one with the outlandish hair color, you know.”

“Oh right, I remember, her. The one that flies on a broomstick backwards but still managed to beat Imelda.” The girls laughing while Gareth watched them confused.

“No, not that one, Ruby is the one that doesn’t sleep in the common room, but in the forest. Rumor has it she’s a fairy.” Selene informed, only for Ethel to step in again.

“Was that not Leila?”

“Right, apologies my friend, it is far too early. Ruby is the one that the Sorting hat put in Gryffindor but she requested to be transferred to Slytherin because she has a crush on Sebastian Sallow.”

“Exactly. What she sees in him I cannot fathom.”

Clicking his tongue after looking left and right between the girls chatting, Gareth politely excused himself. None of what they said made sense, but then again rumors were hardly a solid ground.

So he continued his search asking students left and right, taking notes all that varied from. Winona was adamant about this one “Ruby? No that’s not hear real name.”, another swore “I hear she sneaks into the kitchens late at night in order to juggle house elves.” to a girl batting her eye lashes at him, swearing Ruby had a wooden eye and that she had personally seen in.

He went as far as to ask Sebastian on a break about her, however he knew nothing of the girl mentioned. His friend Ominis Gaunt was not so civil “Do I look like a know every student inside of this school? Find her yourself Farr and let me finish my homework.”

Poppy swore that Ruby was a nice girl on the outside, but she had heard that she can talk to Puffskeins and that she had a plan to call upon them to infiltrate the Prefect Bathroom for some reason after asking Gareth is he wanted to help her feed the animals.

Close to dinner time, he circled the word “who” on his parchment multiple times since many had not even heard of her. His favorite one that almost made him laugh was that she was actually a long distant relative of professor Binns, or his daughter somehow, he even forgot the logic behind it, Gareth thinking she must have been very boring if that was the case. But he was on a mission and he knew Sallow infiltrated the library with someone and since he had to wait on other things, this was his latest favorite past time.

Seeing Angela walking down the hall with a package in her hand, he offered to help carry it, just to try his luck “Ruby? I heard about her but I don’t know much. I hear she can’t walk in a straight line and is very clumsy, always bumping into people.”

“Perhaps she is short sighted.” He offered his thoughts casually.

Shrugging her shoulders, she smiled “I don’t know, perhaps. Though I heard some mean girls saying she does it for attention and that she dates guys only to break their hearts. Currently the bets are on Weasley.”

Making a face, Gareth almost gagged “I am certain professor Weasley is not interested in a student.”

Gasping, she slapped his shoulder “Garreth Weasley, not our professor.”

“Who?”

Sighing, she took the package from him “Thank you for the help but I’m not able to help you more. If I hear anything else I’ll let you know alright?”

Nodding, Gareth headed to the pitch to hand back the broom to Oliver, who was surprised to actually find it back in one piece and polished even “Care to tell me what you did now?”

“No, I prefer to keep up the suspense. Do not fret, you will know soon enough. I will even wink at you from across the table when it happens.” Deciding to try his luck since he had nothing to lose and also some time to lose as they were making their way to the Great Hall, he also asked him about Ruby.

“Can’t say I know about her, why? Do you fancy her?”

Scoffing, Gareth smirked “Please, I am not like you.” Looking at him offended, Gareth only rolled his eyes “You are trying too hard. Maybe I can teach you a thing or two.”

“I don’t need your help.”

“A bet then. I bet you that by the end of the year, I can get more ladies than you. You do not have to answer now, just make sure you do not choke on your food this evening. Enjoy your meal Oliver.” He said taking a seat next to a girl at the Slytherin table, leaning in to whisper something in her ear, the girl laughing as she blushed.

Once back in the common room, Gareth checked his notes. Fairies? Vampires even? What was or who was Ruby? However there was a name that continued to be mouthed alongside hers. Someone just as deep in the rumor mill, someone standing close to the windows, pale hair covering her features.

Approaching, he spoke “Good evening miss Hellebore, might I have a word?”

What is your opinion of Hogwarts Legacy? will you play it? I have heard that there are people who say that the goblins were the victims and the wizards were the perpetrators. I find it very interesting.

I probably won’t play it, simply because I’m not much of a gamer, to be honest. If I play video games, they’re mostly chill simulations. Adventure and fighting games? Not my thing. I do like to watch those sometimes, though, so perhaps I’ll find some playthrough of Hogwarts Legacy as well. Maybe… Because I have to say that the game didn't really pique my interest so far.

Frankly, I don’t know much about HPHL, so I don’t exactly have an opinion either. I heard that it happens during the Goblin Rebellions, but that’s kind of it. Well, I also heard that the player’s character starts attending Hogwarts in their fifth year… for some reason? And I suppose it might be what discouraged me from this story. Personally, I think it’s a rather stupid premise, and while it’s not a big deal, I just… don’t like it. I don’t know, it gives me “a very mediocre fanfic" vibes. I’m sure it won’t bother everyone, and it’s fine. Hell, maybe it’s not even relevant for the quality of the story overall. But I sort of lost my interest after learning this information. I’m sure it didn’t help that it was never too high, to begin with.

Long story short, I guess I’m simply indifferent about the game at this point.

There was a mild chill in the air on the grounds of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, hardly a cloud in the sky as the sun shone brightly. Many fifth year students would be dreading the times to come for their O.W.L exams. However, one student sitting along the shore of the Black Lake held no such concerns for the moment. No, Leila Hellebore was on her own personal mission.

Teenage rebellion.

Growing up, she and her sister had been subject to their mother’s teachings. For Leila, she had been taught blood magic, that humans would not understand her demonic heritage, and that the only suitable partner was a full-blooded demon, lest her goals be out of her reach. 

Yet, she had come to realise her mother’s teachings were not entirely true. Over her time at Hogwarts, she made many friends amongst the humans here.

Firstly, there was Marigold Sterling, a fellow Slytherin who she had formed a bond with through their shared love of music. Her cello matching Leila’s piano in perfect harmony.

Secondly, Daniel or ‘Danny’ Gibson as he liked to be known. It was only the occasional good morning or hello from him at first but he had always been friendly towards her despite her aloofness. At last, she reciprocated his greetings and was now a trusted friend.

Thirdly, Siobhan Llwelyn, an enabler of her rebellious side. Oh the two had tried to keep to the lady-like roles they were assigned by society but the whole thing was so ridiculous both would now burst into fits of laughter at the very thought.

Lastly, there was Reuben Willows...

Oh Reuben, though he played the position of beater in the Quidditch matches they faced off against one another in, he was such a gentle giant. He had always goaded her in a friendly manner during Quidditch being on opposite teams, her much smaller height of four-foot-nine compared to his still-growing frame amusing him greatly. She had returned the banter gleefully and he became a friend.

He had been the first she had trusted with the secret of her half-demon nature in her third year. At the same time, had laid bare her feelings of fear on not being able to have a normal life. While surprised, in stark contrast to her mother’s belief, he had not judged her for it. If anything, showing such vulnerability had brought the two closer.

Then, he had confessed to having feelings for her in fourth year. On this very lakeshore no less...

She had panicked, pushed him away, yelled at him in an effort to convince him that she wasn’t good for him. That she was bad, tainted and how could a human like him find feelings for someone like her? She still felt a pang of guilt when she remembered the hurt in his expression that day. Regardless, he had respected her wishes and left her alone.

They had spent a couple of months not speaking to each other, maybe the occasional nod of acknowledgement but no words. The guilt and grief had eaten her up inside, she had missed their banter, missed their friendship, missed... him. 

At last, she had approached him, wanting to talk in private. Apologising for what she had said, and just wishing to going back to being friends. He had tearfully, but gratefully accepted her apology, both had cried with relief in the other’s arms from the months of not interacting finally being ended.

Everything had begun looking up.. until she had received word from her mother, she was looking for a worthy suitor for her. Without Leila’s input of course. Though, it wasn’t just that, her mother attempting to micromanage her life, “Show her the right path.” as she had put it. That involved severing ties with her friends and Leila would not allow that to happen, they were far too important for her to lose.

But Reuben was a slightly different case, the summer had given her plenty of time to mull over his confession. The more she thought about it, the more she realised she had developed feelings for her Quidditch rival as well. There was no denying he was handsome and strong, in more ways than one from what he had told her about his troubled home life.

But she admired his loyalty to his loved ones, his enthusiasm when he taught her about dragons, how he pushed her to be her best and so much more. She wanted to be with him, the fact that it would spit in the face of her family’s ideals was only an added bonus. She hoped he would still feel the same way...

Her enhanced hearing picked up footsteps on the sand a ways off behind her, breaking her from her thoughts. She turned to the source, unable to help her face curling into a smile that revealed her fangs. That got the expected reaction out of the Ravenclaw, smiling at her warmly a feeling of joy spreading through her. Though he looked confused, at the fact that she was sitting down on a chequered blanket with a picnic hamper at her side.

“Lei, what’s all this?” He asked, his brow furrowing. Wordlessly, Leila got up, taking his hands in in her own as her green eyes darted between his face and feet. She tugged lightly, attempting to get him to come with her, he didn’t budge.

“What are you playing at Lei?” He questioned, his tone still steady and calm but clearly trying to wrap his head around his friend’s odd behaviour.

“Come and sit.” She responded vaguely, pulling just a bit harder. In response Reuben pulled his hands from her grip.

“No.” He said succinctly, crossing his arms to stop his hands being taken again.

“Please.” She said, hoping that would get him. Though seeing how obstinate he was being was admittedly starting to grate on her nerves.

“Not until you tell me what’s going on.” He retorted, Leila grumbled at that. She couldn’t exactly come out and say she wanted to kiss the fool now could she?

“Reuben,” She spoke firmly, “If you don’t sit down with me, I’m going to jump you and still have my way.” Her serious tone left no room for argument.

Reuben took just the slightest step closer, towering over her, “Try it.” He challenged. Unfortunately, Reuben had forgotten one crucial detail until it was too late.

Leila’s half-demon strength meant she could easily match him in raw power despite what her slim, petite appearance would suggest. He was knocked over flat on his back in his lack of preparation to brace as Leila lunged for him. He landed without injury, his fall cushioned by the soft sand, but now pinned beneath Leila. Her arms were locked straight, keeping his shoulders down as she straddled his waist. She lowered herself down towards him, causing her grey blonde hair to fall and brush lightly against his cheeks.

He couldn’t deny, the feeling excited him, his heart beginning to race as his steely grey eyes stared into the captivating forest green of Leila’s. Ones that he wanted to get lost in forever. Feelings that he’d sought to bury for the sake of preserving their friendship came roaring back to the surface as he felt his face flush red.

Leila smirked at his flustered but hypnotised reaction, lowering herself down even further, turning her head to kiss him. Reuben didn’t resist as her lips captured his own, in response, his began to to move in tandem with hers. His previously tense muscles relaxing as Leila’s hands moved from his shoulders to the back of his neck, pulling herself closer to him. His arms now free, Reuben placed his hands on her waist but dared not explore for fear of pushing things too far.

At last, they needed the air, Leila breaking their kiss. A gleeful smile making its way across her features, Reuben smiling warmly at the sight of her fangs.

“Are you willing to listen to me now? I really owe you an explanation, about this and... last year.” She stated, her face still inches from his and longing to kiss him again but knew it would have to wait for the moment.

Reuben nodded, “Yeah, I’ll listen.” Leila finally stood back up again, offering her hand to him. Clasping it tightly, she lifted him up effortlessly and without another word for the moment, Reuben let Leila lead him over to the picnic.

If this was why she had called him out here, they truly had a lot to discuss and Reuben was eager to hear every word.

I just thought of something: What if it was Legacy MC that explained Dumbledore the love protection. We are told that it is a form of Ancient Magic, and our MC was already powerful at the age 15, so it's likely their power level increased in by the time of original series.

Interesting, so let me see if I understand. Are you saying that Sacrificial Protection is a form of Ancient Magic? It could be, but it would need to be an Ancient Spell that anyone can use, which doesn't seem to be how the Ancient Magic works. But then, we also know very little about it in general. It does seem that anyone can invoke Sacrificial Protection if they're presented with the opportunity and make that choice, but it also appears to be a rare occurrence.

I do like the idea of The Fifth Year discovering Sacrificial Protection, though how that happens could vary. Who sacrifices themself for who? Bonus points if it's someone like Sebastian giving himself up for The Fifth Year. If my math is correct, Dumbledore is a young child during Hogwarts Legacy, The Fifth Year is several years older than them but young enough to basically be in his generation. Oh, now that's fun, because they could meet and have a relationship unlike most OCs can ever have with Dumbledore as he's normally the wise old man by the time most MCs meet him.

KAKKO LEADS AN INCREDIBLE RANGERS 2019 ENTRY DRAFT

BY: The New York Rangers During the 2019 NHL Entry Draft, which was held at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia on Friday, June 21 and Saturday, June 22, the Rangers selected eight players. With their eight picks in the Draft, the Blueshirts selected five forwards and three defensemen. The Rangers entered the 2019 NHL Entry Draft with the second overall pick. The Blueshirts selected second or higher in the Draft for only the third time since the NHL Amateur/Entry Draft's inception in 1963 and for the first time since 1966, when the team chose Brad Park with the second overall pick. On Friday, the Rangers used the second overall pick in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft to select forward Kaapo Kakko. Kakko, 18, skated in 45 games with TPS of Liiga (Finnish Elite League) this past season, registering 22 goals and 16 assists for 38 points, along with a plus-one rating and 10 penalty minutes. Kakko's 22 goals in 2018-19 were the most any U18 player has registered in one season in the history of Finland's top league, breaking the record of 21 set by Aleksander Barkov in 2012-13. The 6-2, 194-pounder was named the Rookie of the Year in Liiga in 2018-19. Internationally, the Turku, Finland native has represented his country in several tournaments. Ciccolini also notched five points (one goal, four assists) in five playoff games. The 5-11, 170-pounder played parts of two seasons in the OJHL (2017-18 and 2018-19). A native of Vaughan, Ontario, Ciccolini played with Canada-East at the 2018 World Junior A Hockey Challenge. This wand was custom made in a small, almost unknown shop in Japan after a Seer she bumped into on the street told Ida that her perfect wand would be created there. It would seem foolish to go all the way from Germany to Japan on the word of an unknown Seer, but it was Ida's turn to plan the summer trip, so she picked a place in Japan close enough to the mentioned shop

Inherent Magic: Elemental

- Ida has all the magic of a normal witch, but on top of that has a deep connection to the earth and the magic stemming from it, even beyond the earth into the universe. If not properly trained (or if driven to a great enough temptation), an Elemental could vaporize the entire planet, or bend it to their will. They could also leave humanity behind if they so wished and become nature itself

- Elementals are theorized to have fragments of Merlin's soul fused with their own, hence why they feel strong connections to each other and can't ever fatally harm one of their own. Most Elementals also fall in love with each other as well, and the connection is thought to be stronger than a normal human's love could ever be. These connections help ensure no Elemental gives in to whichever temptation has the strongest pull on them. Only one Elemental has ever yet gone evil, and this is how it was discovered that they cannot kill one another

- This special magic is not hereditary. In fact, no one knows what causes someone to be born an Elemental, only that there have been less and less of them in the recent centuries. There are only two known Elementals left: Ida and Sebastien

Mother: Lina is a warm hearted woman who wants the best for her daughter, misguided though she might be. She often has to shout at her husband to trying to hold Ida back, or discourage Ida's dreams. She noticed Ida's growing power long before her husband did, and was the one to finally contact someone for help when Ida grew so strong and uncontrolled she couldn't stop floating

Father: Elias is a business oriented man who, though he loves his daughter, up until her reveal as an Elemental wished she was a son. He's the reason Ida was homeschooled for so long, as he didn't think a girl was worth the tuition money. He refused to believe that Ida was anything other than ordinary until a man in a high position told him otherwise

Pets: A screech owl named Goldig, meaning 'cute'

Other Important Family: Ida's paternal aunt, Ingrid, is one of the biggest influences in her life as a child. Ingrid is an independent witch who lives fabulously by herself with her dead husband's fortune. Ida used to yearn for a future where she wasn't tied down by a man and could do as she pleased

Family Values: The Sommer family as a whole is mainly concerned with two things: remaining pureblooded, and growing richer. Most of the Sommers are decently good people, but they have period-appropriate prejudices and are willing to leave someone behind to save themselves, metaphorically and literally

Opinion on Family: Up until entering Hogwarts, Ida really only knew her family, so she loved them and thought very highly of them. Timeline

Young Childhood: Ida is kept at home. She knows no children her age, and spends most of her free time roaming her father's land. No matter how far she wanders, she never seems to get lost. Ida has strange dreams where she watches the world as an outsider. After being told by a Seer that her ideal wand would be created at a small shop in Japan, Ida convinces her father to spend a month there over the summer, and her mother takes her to the shop to get her wand. Ida sneaks out one night and climbs a cliff that looks out over the ocean. In later years she can't remember whether rising up over the waters and hearing the stars call to her by name was a dream or not, but she knows the moon smiled at her.

She traps the two men inside of a ridiculously large tree that grows out of the mountainside near her cottage. This tree forms from her body, and has a notch where her favorite necklace can be inserted to be allowed entry to the chamber Sebastien and Dorian are trapped. However, she hid the necklace in Japan, where no one will find it until a century has passed and her friends have passed away. Ida can occasionally gather her spirit into a physical form to communicate with her love and child that she left behind

- Ida is the ancestor of my main hphm mcs, Gracie and Tessa Chiva, on their father's side

- The reason Ida is sent to Hogwarts and not Durmstrang is the fear of bad influences. No one wanted to risk her being corrupted

- Ida does feel guilty about leaving her love behind, but since she couldn't kill Sebastien and she still loved him and wanted him to be happy, this was the only way she could think of to stop him

- Her love watched her leave humanity behind. As they wept, Ida's spirit gathered to say her goodbyes, and point them to their son, who had been born from Ida's final breath at exactly 11:18 pm

- Ida thinks very highly of herself. This is both from being praised so much as a child and hearing so much about the good she can do as an Elemental

- She throws a graduation party so extravagant that it's talked about for decades after her death

Ben’s Opinion of Helena

As a muggle born, Ben was afraid of most everything magical and his new surroundings. He was often a victim of bullying, especially to Merula Snyde. In a charms class, he befriended two Ravenclaws in his year named Rowan Khanna and Helena Durazzo, and the three formed a trio of friends. He started to gain confidence with his new friends and with Helena, even went to conquer some cursed vaults or if he didn’t go into any, help with the necessary preparations. The portrait vault in his fifth year and Rowan’s death in his sixth year caused his friendship with Helena to be tested with a number of rough patches. However, while they did have their disagreements, neither developed any hatred for the other and they simply just grew a part as they pursued their own careers, with Ben working for the ministry as an unspeakable and Helena working as a herbologist.

Helena’s Opinion of Ben

Helena, especially in her earlier years at Hogwarts, tended to have an easier time befriending her classmates if they were quieter or introverts. One of the first people she befriend that wasn’t a Ravenclaw was Ben Cooper, with whom she was good friends with alongside Rowan Khanna. However, stress started to build up in her fifth year as the portrait curse took hold. She and Ben went into the portrait vault with the rest of their team, only to be betrayed by their defense against the dark arts teacher. They disagreed on what to think of the betrayal but eventually gained a bit more of an understanding for each other’s stress after the death of Rowan. Still, while they occasionally saw each other after Hogwarts, the two eventually lost the close connection they had at Hogwarts and moved on to new chapters in their lives.

Merula Snyde and Helena Durazzo

Merula’s Opinion of Helena

Merula’s mother never talked fondly of Helena’s mother’s family, the Hearsts, and in extension, the Durazzos as she had a friendship turned bad with Helena’s aunt. Merula learned quickly from her mother that the family was nothing but trouble and a disgrace. Merula was ready to prove her magical strength and was not going to be outshined by anyway, especially not someone like Helena Durazzo, who she challenged despite Helena having no interest in taking her spotlight. Merula joined R believing it was her last connection to her family and her name and did not think to much of it. However, she started to think otherwise after Helena angrily confronted her about it saying that she betrayed all they had done since their fifth year. Merula and Helena did not talk at all after their graduation and only saw each other again during the second wizarding war, when Merula decided to right her wrong and not join the death eaters and her parents.

Helena’s Opinion of Merula

Helena tried to stay away from Merula and her negativity, it was the last thing she needed after combatting already persistent rumors of her brother being dead or perhaps even joining the death eaters. As much as Helena wanted to avoid Merula, she kept crossing paths with her and engaged in a duel with her during their first year. Helena started to get along slightly better with Merula in her fifth year when the two were required to work together to get into the portrait vault, however that progress was reversed when Helena learned Merula chose R over Hogwarts. They didn’t talk much after that, although they did compete over who would be head girl. While Helena admired the fact that Merula finally turned away from the death eaters during the second wizarding war, to Helena it meant they were only allies and not friends, something both of them were fine with.

I’m just messing around with some in-universe post game content. So here’s a little test of a letter sent to the MC from Amara, ten years post graduation. It’s a little vague but it ties into some plot stuff i’ve been drafting >:)

if you know me, you know a lot of amara’s story is very much focused outside of the hogwarts tenure, it’s a whole long thing with lots of theatrics and high stake thrills — involving some ancient magic antics

My dear fellow,

I confess, it has been some time. My sincerest apologies for my absence at the 10 year anniversary celebration since our graduation. In truth, I’ve been entirely preoccupied with a most pressing issue here at the office.

Moreover, I must regrettably call on you immediately. There is a situation stateside which if I remember correctly, may be of use to your talents of sorts. I shan’t elaborate on the nature of your abilities, though I’m sure you can imply what I’m getting at.

I’ve sent an envoy from the MACUSA Department of International Relations to assist you in this matter. His name is Peter Buttonwood. I admit, he’s a bit sheepish.. though to my chagrin, the only staff available at my whim on such short notice. You’ll find him in the Three Broomsticks in room 2. Ask Sirona.
