Good barely morning!
I had a slow get up this morning, and then went to a very productive meeting with my supervisor. I've then spent the rest of the morning fighting HR with their stupid tax forms. I've now submitted them seven times in the past two weeks. I went from having nothing but the automated system repeatedly requesting me to upload forms with no context to two separate people who clearly have not talked to each other emailing me with different instructions on how to submit the forms correctly. "Your contract will not be processed until we get the correct forms." I am going to throw hands.
Anyway, assuming the paperwork has finally gone through, the rest of the afternoon is going to be finishing up the survey question proposal and some emails to arrange my first actual committee meeting. Realized this morning with my supervisor that I've face planted into political geography. What a fun niche field. My grandfather would have loved that.
