The Israeli military has been posting grotesque videos of dead Palestinians on a racist Telegram channel. It’s typical for the ‘anything goes’ platform. Representatives from the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) admitted to running a notoriously violent and racist Telegram channel following an investigation from Haaretz.  On October 9, 2023, the Telegram channel “72 Virgins—Uncensored” started posting gore-filled photos and videos from the frontlines of Israel’s war on Gaza. An investigation from Haaretz revealed in December that the Israeli military ran the channel. The IDF initially denied the accusation but reversed course after an internal investigation, Haaretz reported on Sunday. It’s an unsurprising revelation that highlights the grotesque appeal of Telegram, and how governments increasingly use the platform to spread propaganda. Videos and images on the channel included the dead bodies of Palestinian civilians and resistance fighters alongside racist text. “Exterminating the roaches…exterminating the Hamas rats…Share this beauty,” one post said above pictures of captured Palestinians. Another post showed an Israeli soldier dipping their gun into a liquid. “What a man!!!! Lubricates bullets with lard. You won’t get your virgins,” the text on the video said, according to a translation from Haaretz. In the past months, several unconfirmed videos have gone viral on social media purporting to show soldiers mocking Palestinians by dipping their bullets in pig fat, which is forbidden under Islam. Since October 7th, Nearly 30,000 Palestinians have been killed by the Israeli military in Gaza, where Israeli occupation forces have blocked almost all humanitarian aid from entering the densely-populated Palestinian territory.

Even I knew that the Western world had been saturated with incendiary Big-Lie propaganda against Israel and the Jews. Such ideas inevitably lead to attacks on Jews in Israel, and on Jews in the West on streets, in synagogues, at Jewish Centers, Jewish Museums, in restaurants, on trains, at nightclubs, and on college campuses in Jihad-like hordes.

This is one way of actualizing the chants to "globalize the Intifada."

I called for an Iron Dome against the propaganda at least fifteen years ago. I wrote and lectured about this. There were never any takers.

Now, when it is almost too late--really, when it is far too late--people are beginning to wake up. Americans, both Jews and Christians, as well as dissident Muslims, Sikhs, and Hindus, are alarmed. Parents of college-age students are concerned; they are starting to advise their children not to attend Ivy League schools, where Jew hatred has long been protected under the banner of free speech and academic freedom; universities where they also hide their Jew hatred by insisting that their anti-Zionism has absolutely nothing to do with antisemitism.

As I claimed in 2002 and 2003, anti-Zionism is an essential part of the "new" antisemitism. Denying that this is so is tantamount to Holocaust denial.

While Olmert wrote that he had previously defended his country against “accusations of genocide and war crimes,” the Israeli politician said he can no longer see the widespread slaughter of civilians, including women, children and the elderly, or the campaign to starve Gaza as mere collateral damage in “a brutal war.” “What we are doing in Gaza is a war of extermination: indiscriminate, unrestrained, brutal, and criminal killing of civilians,” he said. “We are doing this not because of an accidental loss of control in a particular sector, not because of a disproportionate outburst of fighters in some unit — but as a result of a policy dictated by the government, knowingly, intentionally, viciously, maliciously, recklessly,” Olmert’s op-ed continued. “Yes, we are committing war crimes.” Olmert also wrote that the current administration can no longer dismiss criticism of the military onslaught or the monthslong blockade of food and medical supplies as antisemitism, as Netanyahu once again did last week. First of all, over 200,000 settlers have been displaced from the northern settlements, and they will not return, by orders of Hezbollah leadership, until the war on Gaza stops. Channel 14 reported that 53 soldiers have been killed on the northern front and 441 wounded, but the true toll is clearly much higher, as evidenced by field and hospital reports. Settlers in the nearly empty north have filed 6,000 compensation requests for damages, which amount to 15 billion shekels ($5 billion). 10,000 rockets have been fired from Lebanon towards northern occupied Palestine, with a new average of about 150 rockets per day, in 3,200 operations (https://t.me/RNN_Backup/60916) in support of Gaza, targeting over 1,031 locations. These rockets are reaching as deep as Haifa and beyond, taking settlers "back to the days of the Second Lebanon War," as quoted by Haaretz. Of the damage caused by the rockets, 54% was in residential buildings, 11% in public buildings, and 3% in infrastructure. 1,645 direct hits were recorded on buildings, mostly in "Kiryat Shmona" and "Metulla," according to Yedioth Ahronoth. "Al-Manara" was struck 63 times, and "Shtula" in the northwest 68 times. The cost of losses overall was 62 billion shekels in the last month alone, causing a deficit of 26 billion shekels since 2024 started. The deficit has reached a new record of 117.3 billion shekels (nearly $32 billion), which is the highest in the short life of the zionist entity. It is worth noting that a single interception of a Yemeni missile costs the entity over $2 million shekels per attempted interception. Settlers are leaving the entity at a record rate. In 2023, 55,300 "israelis" left, but only 27,800 returned, for example. Israel has approved a resolution to cut ties with the Israeli news outlet Haaretz and ban government funding bodies from communicating or placing advertisements with the newspaper. The government said its decision was due to “many articles that have hurt the legitimacy of the state of Israel and its right to self-defence, and particularly the remarks made in London by Haaretz publisher Amos Schocken that support terrorism and call for imposing sanctions on the government,” Haaretz reported on Sunday. The left-leaning news outlet added that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu approved the decision, which did not appear on the government’s agenda for the weekly cabinet meeting. In response to the decision, Haaretz said it was an “opportunist resolution to boycott Haaretz, which passed in today’s government meeting without any legal review … [and] another step in Netanyahu’s journey to dismantle Israeli democracy”. “Like his friends [Russian President Vladimir] Putin, [Turkish President Recep Tayyip] Erdoğan, and [Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor] Orbán, Netanyahu is trying to silence a critical, independent newspaper. Haaretz will not balk and will not morph into a government pamphlet that publishes messages approved by the government and its leader,” the outlet added.

Israeli government approves sanctions to left-leaning outlet Haaretz by barring its government bodies from communicating or placing advertisements with Haaretz over the paper’s critical tone towards Israel Apartheid State’s genocide campaign in Gaza.

This is a grotesque attack on the free press in Israel.
