It’s been long since I didn’t have anything to comment on either the manga or the anime. o: Episode 10 was simply following the chapters this time (except for the Himalayan rock salt exorcism). They neither added or removed content, they simply improved what was already there.

Though I guess I can always fangirl over the fact that Reigen is back. Also I need to write about how much I fell for the fake plot twist when watching the first season for the first time.

Seriously. It was almost on the same level as with Mob’s family burning to death in season 2 😭 I was s h o o k.

It’s like impossible to miss when reading, but the anime had put this scene after the end credits so yeah... those who skipped the ed sure missed out.

I mean, I was shook in the way that I really had no idea what to believe at all. Considering the fact that he’s a con man it’s already clear that he’s able to lie and hide the truth really well (at least, well enough..), so this plot twist would kind of make sense. I’m pretty sure I was also aware of the fact that because of that said ability to lie, he could have used it on the Claw members to get in.

If I had read the manga first I’m sure I would have been even more inclined to believe he was their boss. He just seems even more shady than the anime counterpart and less... considerate? As I wrote when reading the first chapters - he was giving out those villain vibes.

This kind of plot twist is pretty common, so there’s that too. Either way I was scratching my head and fangirling at the same time. I don’t think I was converted to a Reigen stan just yet, but this sure helped me on the way to becoming one.

Image 2: ‘LOVE’ defined in may ways, printed on a throw pillow. LOVE is printed vertically spanning the length of the pillow from bottom to top. The definition featured by the artist is skewed to the left and lines are typed horizontally. The entire definition is repeated several times to completely cover the pillow, yet each sentence ends so that the paragraph is skewed equally despite having a variety of fonts.

Healthy Homemade Sports Drinks

To hydrate, and to replace electrolytes one needs an instant energy/ sports drink. Commercial sports drinks with flavorings, sweeteners may not do as good as they may damage.

Most commercial sports drinks are very high in calories, most of which is from sugar. Excess intake of sugar has affected overall performance levels, weaker bones, gastric issues etc. So instead why not make these sports drinks at home, this way you would know what all goes into the making and your child will get the nourishment required. Here are some few examples:

1) Cool-Coconut Smoothie

Ingredients:

· 1 glass Tender Coconut water

· ½ tsp.-soaked Chia seeds

· 5-6 nos. Mint leaves

· Himalayan pink salt

· Sugar

· Lime juice

Method: Add the soaked chia seeds and mint leaves to about 500 ml of tender coconut water and this can be sipped on during the match or game.

Coconut water has natural electrolytes which help in replenishing the electrolytes lost during the match. It also counts as a good energy drink as it is a high calorie drink.

2) Pomegranate Squash

Ingredients:

· 1 no. Pomegranate

· Orange

· Pink salt

· Leaves of peppermint[ optional]

Method: Grind Pomegranate and spinach in 1 glass water and strain. To the strained liquid add ½ tsp.-soaked chia seeds.

Pomegranate acts as a vasodilator improving oxygen to the vessels improving overall run and performance. This drink makes an excellent pre game drink that will improve speed.

3) Natural Electrolyte Booster

Ingredients:

· 1/2 cup fresh orange juice

· 1 tbsp. fresh lime juice

· 2 cups of water

· Salt and sugar as per taste

Method: Mix all the ingredients well. Store in a glass jar and can sip on it post-match or play.

Lemons are not just easily available and are power packed with calcium, and magnesium, which are the most basic electrolyte requirements of a human body. A lemon and orange will also prevent kids from heat strokes in summers and keep them well hydrated.

4) Watermelon and Mint Cooler

Ingredients:

· 2-3 slices Watermelon

· 1 no. Pomegranate

· Handful Mint leaves

· 2 drops Lime juice

Method: Add all ingredients to a blender with water. Grind and store in a mug, this makes a perfect drink during the summers.

Watermelon consists of many electrolytes such as potassium, magnesium, sodium etc. which will work on the electrolyte imbalance. Pomegranate helps in improving the overall performance. Mint leaves have a cooling property which works well during the summers. This drink makes a perfect substitute to the sugar loaded energy drinks that available in the market.

this is oddly specific but okay HERE WE GO!Kelly has never really enjoyed her job. The only reason she’s got it is because it pays well enough and she’s good at it: pulling wires, drilling holes, connecting plugs and switches. Electrical work is simple enough on good days. On bad ones, it’s not her fault—it’s the fault of whoever thought they could wire their own damn house.

This is not one of those days where Kelly can dump the blame on an ill-advised lunge at cost effectivity. Unfortunately, the shittery of this day is solely the fault of whatever series of bad decisions and abysmal moods brought the owner of this house to hoarding.

All she had to do was pull a new wire from the basement to the kitchen counter. That’s it. That’s all.

Nobody told her there was going to be seven layers of hell in the form of ten cent plushies, cereal box mansions, litterboxes both empty and full (though what creature is using them is uncertain), bags of packing popcorn, half a dozen phonebooks, twenty-six empty binders, fifteen years worth of taxes, a Himalayan salt lamp on every dusty table, bead curtains hanging in every doorway, and quite a few more filling packing bins labelled “Baba’s plugs”—among other things. You get the idea.

Kelly isn’t impressed. Kelly isn’t happy. Kelly doesn’t have an apprentice she can designate to pushing aside mountains of untouched birding-by-ear books so she may gain access to the breaker panel.

Kelly has to do it all herself.

“Tell me when you’re done,” says the homeowner, a watery-eyed man in his mid-thirties wearing a stained housecoat. Then he leaves.

Kelly takes a moment in the narrow path to contemplate how soon it would be before someone might find the body of the homeowner, tucked away beneath a plastic bin of feather boas and ten litres worth of bouncy balls. Although then she wouldn’t get paid.

With a sigh, Kelly begins to dig. Handling anything with care is the last of her worries. She tosses them to one side, leaving at least one route of escape should she find a hornet nest—which she does. In a sense.

It doesn’t buzz, and it doesn’t spew out a cloud of angry insects. It isn’t even organic.

Because in this case, the hornet nest is an empty blue spray bottle, bright blue with the Febreze logo in pristine condition—until Kelly’s boot clad heel punches right through it. The opaque plastic cracks, releasing a waft of ironically synthetic freshness. Kelly’s nose wrinkles.

She kicks the bottle away, and resumes digging a path, when she’s interrupted by an irate voice, “What the fresh hell is this?”

Kelly freezes. She could have swore the voice came from the floor, except for the small fact that it’s littered with—well, stuff.

“Excuse me?” she asks, feeling foolish as she does so.

“I said, what the fresh hell is this?” the voice repeats, but far more contemptuously. Kelly instantly dislikes the voice, and by extension, its presently unknown owner.

“A house,” says Kelly. “If you don’t like it, get the hell out. Sue the owner. I don’t care.”

Quite abruptly there’s an overpowering scent of fresh cut pine (in that way that synthetic scents never actually smell anything like their intended aroma but we all agree that yes, that is the fake pine scent I know and love) and Kelly isn’t alone in the dingy, cramped, claustrophobic, musty and dusty basement anymore.

Because there’s a—a person? Hovering in front of her. Kind of. His lower half seems to be tapered and leading in the vague direction that Kelly assumes she booted the Febreze bottle, because why else would she be smelling it as though two soaked cotton balls had been stuffed up her nose?

Mostly she’s just confused as to why this air freshener bottle genie-esque spirit thing would be dressed like he’d just been teleported from a meeting on Wall Street. Tailored three piece, pin stripes, sharp tie, and—

“Is your hair gelled?” asks Kelly, appalled.

“It’s hair wax,” drawls the Febreze-genie, “and you still haven’t answered me. What the fresh—”

“Hell is this, got it, yeah. I told you, it’s a house.”

“This—” The genie flicks his wrist to indicate the basement, his Rolex watch flashing in the fluorescent lighting. “—is not a house.”

“It is.”

“Isn’t.”

“It is.”

“Isn’t.”

Kelly rests her hand on her tool belt and its variety of multipurpose tools—flatheads are great for tiny switch plates and also for stabbing—before responding further, “I doubt you’d know what constitutes a house considering you just...fucking...I don’t know. Popped out of a bottle? What the hell? Who are you?”

“Jack,” grunts the genie. “I’m a genie.”

“Mm, got that bit.”

“And this is a shithole.”

“Who said shitholes can’t be houses?”

Jack wrinkles his nose as if he smelled something awful—hilarious, really—while flicking his expensive-watch-encrusted wrist again. “Whatever, moving on then. You ruined my house.”

“The bottle,” says Kelly.

“Yeah.”

“Okay, I’m just gonna stop you there,” says Kelly with a smile, “and leave. Bye!”

She spins on her heel, knocking a three animal-themed candlestick holders off their perch, and strides out of the basement using her very well constructed escape path.

“Hey! You can’t do that!”

“Watch me,” deadpans Kelly as she stomps up the stairs and thrusts open the basement door.

“You broke my house!” calls up the genie.

Kelly leans against the doorframe, looking down at Jack “standing” at the foot of the stairs. “There’s like, twelve other old bottles you can use,” she says. “Choose one of those.”

“Hey, fuck you, I’m not sliding into one of those grimy shitholes.”

“Hate to break it to you, but that’s literally exactly where you were before I stepped on it.”

Jack’s eyebrows snap together. “Take that back.”

“No.”

“I said, take it back!”

“I said, no. Just magic yourself a new one. Good lord, you’re so—”

Kelly blinks. Jack is already opening his mouth to complain.

“You’re a genie,” interrupts Kelly.

Jack scowls up at her. “I did say so, didn’t I?”

“So I get a bunch of wishes, right?”

Jack opens his mouth. Closes it. Opens it again. Grimaces. Exhales a weird sort of groan. Rolls his eyes.

“Use your words,” says Kelly.

“I spent them all on other shit,” says Jack.

“What.”

“Yeah.”

“But I’m the one that’s supposed to be spending them.”

Jack shrugs. “I got bored so I spent them myself.”

“You’re the shittiest genie I’ve ever met,” declares Kelly. “I’m out. Later.”

“No—”

It happens all too quickly for Kelly to respond. Even if it happened slowly, in a conveniently slow motion frame by frame kind of deal, where she could look up cheats and playthroughs, nothing would have changed.

The fact remains: as Kelly turned away from the shitty basement, Jack knew he would be stuck forever if he didn’t make a decision fast. So he moved out of the Febreze bottle, taking a cloud of fresh cut pine scent with him, and latched on to the only piece of real estate moving out of the dingiest house he’d ever set his mystical eyes on.

“I could have thought this through better,” admits Jack after Kelly’s initial shock wears off.

“You think?” scoffs Kelly, staring at the wispy trail that leads from the genie’s lower body into her tool belt. “This isn’t—how does—this doesn’t make sense!”

“Anyway—”

“Don’t just anyway this, you floaty asshole.”

“—since you’re offering me free rent—”

“Since fucking when?”“—I’ll offer you the next free wish I happen upon. Deal?”

Jack pretends not to see the dream-like sequence of cash raining from the sky that is reflected in Kelly’s eyes—actually, who’s he kidding? He doesn’t care. Morals whom.

“Deal,” says Kelly, and proceeds to walk out of the house, job unfinished.

But not before claiming a salt lamp and a beaded curtain just for the troubles of gaining a genie tenant in her tool belt.
