Let's Get Colorful! Celebrating Holi, the Festival of Colors
Holi, also known as the Festival of Colours, is a vibrant explosion of joy marking the end of winter and the triumph of good over evil. Celebrated primarily in India and by Hindu communities around the world, Holi is a time for throwing off inhibitions, letting loose, and showering loved ones (and sometimes strangers!) in coloured powder. Holi – Image taken from Internet But Holi is much more…

That's smart!
The Demon King Hiranyakashipu had received a boon from Lord Brahma, and could be killed neither by man nor by animal, neither by day nor by night, neither inside nor outside, neither in the air nor on the ground, neither by hand nor by weapon.
Feeling invincible, he started doing bad things to people. So, Vishnu decided He has to kill him.
On the 14th day of the waxing moon in the month of Vaisakha, Lord Vishnu appeared, exploding out of a pillar in Hiranyakashipu’s palace. His form was neither man nor animal, but half-man, half-lion; He appeared neither by day nor by night, but at dusk; neither inside nor outside, He dragged Hiranyakashipu to the door of the palace, exactly at the threshold; He placed Hirnanyakashipu neither on the ground nor in the air, but upon His lap; He used neither hand nor weapon, but disemboweled the demon with His claws.

"Holi: The Festival of Colors and Unity in India"

I like the fact that how Lord Vishnu is portrayed like this calm CEO who speaks in a soothing tone and has everything planned and handled but some of His Avatars:
Tumblr media
1. VARAHA DEVA:Speared Hiranyaksha with His tusks
Tumblr media
2. NARASIMHA DEVA: Ripped apart Hiranyakashipu ,drank his blood and garlanded Himself with his intestines
Tumblr media
3. PARASHURAMA DEVA: Killed the entire Kshatriya clan 21 times before retirement
Tumblr media
4. KRISHNA: Kanha is well... Kanha
Tumblr media
In my humble and unqualified opinion , the closest any Avatara of Lord Vishnu to His Bhujangashayana form is Lord Rama. Calm and serene. I can sit at His feet for hours and look at His face.

06 - Gandaberunda
Gandaberunda is a two-headed bird in Hindu mythology. The bird is generally depicted as clutching elephants in its talons and beaks, demonstrating its immense strength. All 2-dimensional depictions show a symmetrical image similar to the double-headed eagle, while other images show the long tail feathers resembling a peafowl.
The Gandaberunda was later identified as a secondary form taken by Narasimha, the fourth avatara of Vishnu and it is shown killing both Sharabha and Hiranyakashipu at the same time. It appears as an intricately carved sculpture motif in Hindu temples, and it is believed to represent resilience against the forces of destruction.

Happy Holi day in 2023!
Holi Festival or Color of festival is celebrating for spring in Hindu calendar, they are playing with color made by herbs. Hindus believed that the festival is celebrating for Loving of Lord Krishna and Lady Radha, also, it is celebrating for memories of the demon name is "Holika", she is the younger sister of the demon name is "Hiranyakashipu" who wanted to people did pray for him only one. But his son name is "Prahlada", he prayed for Vishnu. That made his father to be boiled blood, Hiranyakashipu want to killed his son in various ways. And He wanted Prahlada to died with burning by he lied to his son that worshipped with a fire with Holika. But she died instead of Prahlada.
There is assumed it. Thailand, Countries of South East Asia, and Xishuangbanna in South part of China got this culture. But it is splashing with water instead of splashing with colors. (I'm going to post about Songkrant day or Water Festival in Thailand on next month.)
I'm apologized for my wrong grammar and information for it and I'm thankful to Wikipedia English and the other websites.

Holi also celebrates the arrival of Spring in India and Nepal, the end of winter, and the blossoming of love. It is also an invocation for a good spring harvest season. It lasts for a night and a day, starting on the evening of the Purnima (full moon day) falling on the Hindu calendar month of Phalguna, which falls around the middle of March in the Gregorian calendar.

"Happy  Holi"
One of the most celebrated Hindu holidays and an old Hindu custom is Holi. It honours the enduring and heavenly love of the Hindu deity Radha Krishna. As it honours the triumph of the Hindu deity Vishnu, also known as Narasimha Narayana, over Hiranyakashipu, the day also represents the victory of good over evil.

DARSHAN HAS STARTED 🙏
📜 Once upon a time, there was a demon king named Hiranyakashipu. The powerful demon had been granted a boon that made him virtually indestructible. According to the boon, he could not be killed by any man or beast, indoors or outdoors, during the day or the night, and not by any weapon. Hiranyakashipu became arrogant and tyrannical, causing havoc in the world.
🌟 Hiranyakashipu's son, Prahlada, was a devoted follower of Lord Vishnu. Despite his father's oppressive rule, Prahlada remained steadfast in his devotion to the divine. Angered by Prahlada's unwavering faith, Hiranyakashipu decided to eliminate him. He attempted to kill Prahlada in various ways, but each time, Vishnu's divine intervention protected the young devotee.
🗣️ Hiranyakashipu, frustrated by Prahlada's unwavering devotion to Lord Vishnu, confronts his son and demands, "Where is your Vishnu? Show me where he is hiding!"
💬 Prahlada fearlessly replies, "O father, Vishnu is omnipresent. He resides in every atom and all of creation. He is present everywhere, even in this pillar."
🔥 Enraged by Prahlada's response, Hiranyakashipu strikes the pillar with his mace. To everyone's astonishment, the pillar splits open, and Lord Narasimha, the half-man, half-lion incarnation of Lord Vishnu, emerges from it.
🌅 Narasimha emerged from a pillar, which was neither indoors nor outdoors, at the twilight, which was neither day nor night. Using his mighty claws, which were not actual weapons, Narasimha swiftly slew Hiranyakashipu. But the rage within him did not subside. Narasimha continued his destructive rampage, threatening the balance of the universe.
🔱 To quell Narasimha's anger, Lord Shiva took the extraordinary form of Sharabeshwara (also known as Simhagna). Sharabeshwara's form was fantastic and powerful, with the head of a bird (Shabala or Sharabha), mighty wings, and multiple legs! Lord Shiva assumed this extraordinary form to pacify Narasimha and protect the cosmic order. A fierce battle ensued between Sharabeshwara and Narasimha. Eventually, Sharabeshwara subdued Narasimha and calmed his ferocity.
🌌 This epic story is not mythology; it is a historical account of the true history of the universe. Today, Bhagavan Simhagna Murthy manifests again through His Living Manifestation, THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM (SPH), BHAGAVAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM, and graces the universe!
🙏 Bhagavan Simhagna Murthy blesses us all to live beyond fear and achieve inner peace, the source of true power. He empowers us with ferociousness and strength to manifest our true potential and win over all obstacles! Receive His divine grace and blessings in today's Darshan by THE SPH.

Funniest story in greek and hindu mythology do you remember
A Greek myth isn't really coming to my mind rn.
So here's the Hindu myth that I find absolutely hilarious!
The story of how Vishnu's yet another avatar Narasimha defeated the evil Hiranyakashipu.
So this guy was given a boon from the gods, i.e.
No man or animal can kill him.
He can't be killed during the day or night.
No weapon can kill him.
He can't be killed neither on earth nor in sky.
He wouldn't die outside his house or inside his house.
So after getting this boon, he went into a frenzy that he was immortal. And started abusing his boon. Started killing, torturing and all sorts of bad things.
All gods were helpless so my man Vishnu came to save the day. He was like "yup time has come when ya boi whoops this bitch's ass" and took the avatar of Narasimha. Now here's how Vishnu killed him.
Narasimha is half lion half man. So he is neither an animal or a man.
Narasimha went to Hiranyakashipu's house at twilight. Which is not day not night.
Narasimha used his bare hands to kill the guy. Hence, no weapons were used.
Narasimha made Hiranyakashipu sit on his lap, which is neither earth nor sky.
Narasimha called Hiranyakashipu on his porch. Which is neither inside his house nor outside his house.
That's how Hiranyakashipu was killed and the boon wasn't broken.
