The older I get, the more realise Tolkien was absolutely cooking when he painted the Shire as a paradise.

Like hell yeah I wanna smoke pipeweed and get drunk with the boys, and then eat a hot dinner with my fat ass hobbit wife. And then I get to watch a fireworks show being put on by a fucking wizard.

That's the dream.
