I can't stop thinking about just how emblematic everything in those conversations of Ashton being "a child" are of how, even at her most beaten down, triggered and traumatized, Laudna is not and will not be what Delilah wants her to be.
For Delilah, "they're still a child" is dismissive, a bit derisive, but doesn't even merit being truly hateful. She doesn't find Ashton worth the attention Laudna is giving them, not when there are such more interesting, important things to pull the attention of an adult. Children are only important when they are useful. She will indulge Laudna on the subject, because Laudna is useful, is her vehicle for action in the world, but she only cares about it in the context of getting Laudna to do what she wants. Calling someone a child is calling them unimportant. (Laudna is a child to her)
But for Laudna, who loves children and who understands intimately what it's like to have the helplessness of child, to be trapped under the authority of someone who will never treat you as a full person, even when they are being ostensibly kind, to be so confused and lost and powerless...a child deserves attention more than anyone else. Of course children lash out. Being a child IS in many ways quite awful because the world is so big around you and you don't know yet how to react to any of it, how to soothe yourself - and if you aren't given the attention, you never learn how. Ashton never learned how. Her instincts - instincts trained into her by manipulation and abuse from inside and the world around her - may say kill him, but she fights them the whole way because her heart is stronger and her heart says that the angriest, most volatile child needs care as much as any other. More, even.
Laudna hears Delilah call Ashton a child and agrees on the word, but they have diametrically opposed understandings of what that means, and diametrically opposed instincts on how to treat a child. Laudna doesn't want to hurt anyone, especially children. She loves children. She loves so much and so selflessly. And Delilah is so very very good at manipulating her but she has tried for 30 years to change the bedrock of Laudna's psyche, the truer thing that drives her beyond the base animal instincts of survival, and it hasn't worked.

Buggy can scare the shit out of Shanks if he is actually pissed in a not comical way. Probably if someone/he touch his stuff for his bombs or his personal things like books or treasure. The Rogers don’t do anything bc they had to feel the rage too once . Cross guild will feel the wrath too, but once buggy has the pissed look shanks is scared shitless
(sorry for my English)
I actually think this too tbh. I think Shanks was sometimes scared of arguing too much with Buggy because he could get really mad. And, from Shanks POV, I think the reason he got scared when Buggy was genuinely pissed it's not out of fear of getting harmed or whatever, it's just that he really feels like shit when Buggy is genuinely angry at him. And also, you know Nami's rage? I imagine lil Buggy to be exactly like that aboard the Oro Jackson and Shanks is scared af to confront him once and asks Roger for advice and Roger's like: That's your problem, boy, not mine.
Rayleigh: You're scared, aren't you?
Roger: He's looking at me with dead eyes like a shark
And Cross Guild feeling that rage has to be the funniest thing ever because they normally see Buggy as a tiny chihuahua, but once he gets genuinely mad I think they need to take a step back, frown, think "Mmmmm, not that bad" and finally do whatever Buggy says. I think that more than scared they'd be confused at first and then they'd KIND OF respect Buggy's behavior. Kind of.

the part where kiyoko is running to get hinata's shoes and leaves yachi alone to take care of the tsubakihara match is so monumental to me because it was a passing of the torch at nationals when it was kiyoko's first time at nationals, too!! from the very beginning, she had always wanted to fly with the rest of them!! she had every right to be the one standing with the team during that first game!! but she doesn't!! kiyoko leaves knowing that she'll barely just make it back in time!! she leaves knowing that she'll have to let yachi to fend for herself!! she leaves knowing that she won't be able to stand with the people she loves, that she won't be able to support them and care for them the way she has for the past three years so that they could make it where they are now, and asks yachi to take it up in her stead!! and she's okay with that!! because kiyoko knows, just as much as anyone else, that if they want to win, they have to do what's needed to rise up to the challenge!! even if they're defeated the very next day, even if it suddenly comes to an end, all that matters to kiyoko is that she and everyone else are able to fight until they absolutely can't anymore!! and she will do everything in her power to make that happen!!
tl;dr this is my appreciation post for shimizu kiyoko who deserves everything ever thank you and good night

Quote; " Bro Is Soft" Unquote.
" With all due respect, His power doesn't revolve around raw strength as much as You, Amon, Or Sera for that matter. For being a giant 4 eyed Blueberry, Nathan is the most human out of all of you. And I rock with him because he's who I relate to most. "
- Prolly Harv
Aww, they're friends 😌
Nate finally has a buddy to be a boring, almost 30-year-old man with! they can go fishing and talk about the wonders of sliced bread and modern television.
