There is a mystery with Belinda and you want to know why they need HER of all people. the story builds up and up and then towards the end it makes the big reveal that, the problem isn't oppressive dictators or the system of a society that oppresses a certain group of individuals......... it's incels. Yeah the truest and purest form of evil is incels and they should just be turned back to a sperm and killed with a vacuum cleaner YES QUEEN. I'm sorry. Since when has ANYONE been the ultimate evil in doctor who besides the Daleks and Cybermen. Why does this guy not deserve a second chance? The Story & the Engine is FINALLY another breath of fresh air and a story that's WRITTEN WELL ENOUGH to not take you OUT OF THE NARRATIVE WITH ITS MESSAGES. This episode has perfectly woven it into the story! It is up front about what it's about, honest, and the story moves along with it. It is about the unique alienation black people experience and the tight COMMUNITY that formed because of it. It is about black hardships and tales of horror that shall forever be tightly bound to one's heart. It is about the meaning and value of black hair and the stories each strand carries. It is about what drives us and what keeps us alive. and just, so much more. When it mentions slavery, village fires, racism, the black community and how horrible the internet is, it doesn't feel like it's supposed to be a shock or like something the show is trying to score social points for. It's just, the narrative. It's life. Every day life, casual but awful facts. It focuses on the beautiful people born from it and the innovative ways people survived it. THAT is empowering. Every show and movie should take notes. THIS IS HOW IT'S DONE!

The '98 Liner rose from his seat. "Then why take the test?"

"Because!" Minnie started pacing around the room again, fixing her hair along the way.

"Because?" He nagged her.

The girl to a stop. "Better safe than sorry."

Vernon couldn't help but sigh again, "Minnie..."

"There's a 0.01 per cent chance-"

"Don't say 0.01 because if it really was 0.01 you wouldn't even think of taking one!" He pointed a finger at her, quickly realising the rude gesture and putting his hand down again. "Sorry," he mumbled.

"Okay, then maybe a slightly bigger chance... I don't know..." the female member bit down on her lip as her voice quieted down. Her gaze was back on the floor. "I'm scared."

Her confession made the rapper look back at her. He understood the seriousness of the situation, yet he had never seen the girl that way before. On a night out with the group, they had found out about the first pregnancy scare she had had years before, but she acted differently about it then. Took it with a lot more humour. But now, the woman in front of him just confessed to being scared. And he was the one she had trusted to confront about it.

Vernon glanced around the room. He couldn't freak out. He was supposed to help her here.

"Don't be scared," he tried to assure her, getting up from the sofa to take a step closer to her. "Are you serious though?"

Fallen silent, the girl just nodded. After not getting a verbal response back, she spoke up to explain, "I just... I've been feeling kinda... off. It's weird," she brushed it off, "and I really- I don't think I am, but... what if I am?"

Vernon accepted her answer, taking a second to himself. "Okay," he took a deep breath in and out. "It's okay. You have a test?" He asked her.

Minnie nodded.

"You went out and bought one?" Not even trying to conceal the concern in his voice.

"No," she told him, passing him as she made her way to the bathroom. "Hana got two for me."

"Where's she?" The younger member was hot on her feet.

"At work," Minnie explained. "She bought them on her lunch break." She stopped in front of the door, turning around to come to face with the rapper.

Vernon lowered his voice. "Why did you call me?"

The female idol shrugged.

He was desperate at this point. It felt like the wrong situation to be in for him. "Why not... Minghao... or... Shua, or Coups-"

"Coups would have me on a leash and drag me to get me castrated the moment he heard the words 'pregnancy test'!" She defended herself, getting a slight chuckle from him in return.

"Don't know how that would work but you're probably right. He'd do it at the word 'pregnancy' already," he mumbled.

"And... Shua would be way too emotional and... I don't know... Hao too. They'd be so... careful around me and try to comfort me-"

"Not right now," she shook her head and gulped as he met his eyes. "I called you because you're the only person I know who can just sit there and be there for someone. Without overreacting... or... freaking out. And I'm kinda freaking out, so I need someone with a cool head right now."

"Not gonna lie," Vernon confessed, "I'm freaking out a little though."

"But you're hiding it well."

"Ditto," he nodded at the female member.

Another moment of silence washed over the apartment. Minnie took a quick look into the bathroom, her eyes immediately on the two pink packages by the sink.

"It's basically impossible that I'm pregnant," she admitted. The wheels in Vernon's head started turning, thinking that it was never truly impossible, unless... but he decided not to question her further.

"But I had weird... signs, I guess. And Hana and Léon made me scared. I just wanna make sure."

The '98 Liner nodded along to her words, shaking his head even harder the moment she looked back at him. "Do that. Take the test. Or tests," he dramatically pronounced the plural form.

Minnie nudged her head after a second to take a breath. "Can you come with me?"

Vernon immediately frowned. "Wh- Into the bathroom?"

The girl nodded.

"Ew, no! I'm not gonna watch you piss, bro."

She rolled her eyes, "Don't watch me pee. Just sit next to me," pointing to a stool they had in the bathroom for whatever reason. "Hold my hand?" She batted her eyes at him, mostly to lighten up the situation, while holding a bit of seriousness behind her ask.

"Absolutely fucking not," he shook his head. "Go. I'll be right here."

She eyed him up and down, scrunching up her face. "You're not a real one."

Vernon's eyebrows shot up. "If that's the requirement, I'm good," brushing her off and pushing her to finally get into the bathroom. "Weirdo," he mumbled, getting a last glare. At least she hasn't completely lost her spark, he thought to himself.

The moment she disappeared into the room, Vernon was met with the silence of being by himself. It was only then he realised that he hadn't even asked her about Wonwoo and/or Mingyu. Thinking, if anyone should be there, it would be the two men in question. He passed the thought after a moment of debating, coming to the conclusion that she'd have her reasons. Even after her explanation, he was still slightly confused as to why she'd rather have him than them here with her. He decided he'd rather stay in the unknown rather than pester her with more questions. Right now, she needed a friend, not an interrogator, by her side.

Vernon cleared his throat awkwardly.

The duo had found their way onto the couch with the two tests placed neatly on the coffee table ahead of them, facing down so neither one of them could even dare to get a glimpse of the results before the timer went off.

"And... ehm...," he tried to pass the time, hoping to somehow soothe the nerves rushing between both of them. "So... if you were though, like... pregnant," he carefully wondered, seeing her almost flinch at his words. He turned to look fully at her, finding her already staring at him. "Would you... w-would you... you know...," Vernon let out a chunk of air, "know whose it is?"

The time he had to himself let his mind wander to places he didn't even want it to go, but he couldn't help it.

Minnie stayed quiet for a few seconds, the words hitting her clearly hard as her eyes drifted off him.

"Ehm...," she took a deep breath. "I... I- eh... I... no?" Lowering her head, her gaze was back on her hands intertwined in her lap. She gulped, "I don't- I don't think so, n-no..." The confession appeared in the form of a big lump in her throat. 

While she was able to have her fun with the two men in her life, it was only now that she came across an obstacle like this. Of course, they had had conversations about protection, being careful instead of mindless, and consent. Yet, the topic of a possible pregnancy while still taking precautions seemed to have passed them.

Vernon nodded, his lips tightly pressed together. "Alright... damn...," he raised his eyebrows. "That- that's... wow, impressive... I mean- g-good for you. That's... good for you. And I- I mean not good good for you if you're pregnant, but, you know... good as in good for-"

"Vernon?"

"Yeah, I'm shutting up."

Not the time or place for a conversation like that, nor did she want to go into more detail about the couple's constellation in the bedroom with one of her closest friends, whom she considered her little brother. Neither did Vernon. But the silence had become dreadful.

Any other day, the duo would have no issue sitting next to each other in complete silence, yet, at that very moment, both wanted anything but to stay quiet. And finding a topic of conversation seemed more challenging than ever before.

The '98 Liner could see her shaking leg in the corner of his eye, unsure of how to comfort her well enough since it was the first time in a situation like that for him too. In an attempt to help her, he reached out and placed his hand on her knee, hoping it would calm her.

"Is it though?" She kept the conversation going.

Minnie nodded. "Yeah...," she whispered, hugging herself as if she was freezing. "Very unlikely, but... never impossible, right?"

Vernon shrugged his shoulder, "I think only you'd know that. If it's possible or not."

Whether they were talking about the act of conception or possibly rather the chances of her fertility would stay between the two.

The girl gulped. "It's unlikely. Very, very unlikely."

"That's why I called you," Minnie confessed after a short few seconds of quietness.

"Hm?" Vernon glanced back at her after his eyes had been fixed on his phone.

The question as to why him and not the men that lived with her was still burning his tongue, yet he didn't even dare to let it fall from his lips. Maybe another time.

"I still don't think I'm the right person for something like this-"

"You are," she quickly reassured him. "I didn't even think of anyone else."

The truth was, were the first people to pop into her head her lovers? Yes, of course. But in a moment of panic, in a situation that could affect either one of their lives immensely, she didn't want to confront them. Not with 100% certainty of a result. She wanted to avoid the unnecessary anxiety and hysteria spreading to other people involved in this. Not if there's nothing to be worried about in the first place, she kept on convincing herself.

In addition, as they had talked about before, knowing the rest of her members, there was a group of them that would try to be as emotionally available as they possibly could, their arms around her during the entire process, trying to console her while she just needed someone next to her. The other part of them would turn it into the headline of their tabloid, running around frantically, trying to make sense of the situation, while freaking out, scaring her even more.

And then there was Cheol, the oldest of them all, she shook her head as she didn't even want to think of a possible reaction of his. Yes, he'd support her no matter what, but the image of disappointment on his face was something she couldn't stomach.

Silently, Vernon leaned back, a tight smile on his lips. He appreciated her honesty.

Their sweet moment of companionship was interrupted by the sound of the teeth-shattering, chill-sending sound of his alarm. Vernon didn't even think of changing the ringtone, just opting to go with the standard iPhone one, making the girl shudder as he turned it off.

"Alright," he sighed. "You ready?"

Minnie nodded, pushing herself up to sit further on the edge, her knees close to hitting the coffee table.

"I do one, you do one?"

"Dude, you peed on that, I'm not touching it!" His exclaim made her look at him dumbfounded.

"I peed on that part," she pointed at the end covered by a plastic cap. "You won't even touch it."

But Vernon just shook his head. "You do it."

"Real supportive," she mumbled at him with an amused glare and nudge of her head.

Rushing down the number from three to one in her head, with a deep breath, she turned one test around, wanting to rip the bandaid off quickly and get it over with. Carefully, she looked at the small electronic display, ready for the worst to hit her.

"Not pregnant," she read out loud with a big breath of air. With a quick move, she turned around the second one, a content smile on her lips as she found the same result.

"Not pregnant," Vernon nodded, looking at the coffee table ahead of him before turning towards the female member. "You okay?"

Minnie pressed her lips together tightly, looking at him with a somewhat smile on her face as she nodded. "Yeah..."

Her gaze fell back on the white and blue plastic, her hands still cramped up in her lap as the younger rapper let himself fall further back into the blue couch. He let a moment pass, giving her the silence to herself.

"You know," he patted her back, gaining her attention, "If you were though...," she met his eye. "I'd drive you. Check-up... or...," with a motion of his hand, he pretended to cut his neck, getting a chuckle from her in return.

"I know," she whispered, not trusting her voice to become any louder. Too many emotions were rushing through the short moment, too many for at that time after coming close to what she'd describe as a heart attack.

In the blink of an eye, she had her arms wrapped around his torso, making the younger member smile softly as he returned the embrace. A comforting hand ran up and down her arm. It wasn't often he reciprocated the show of affection from her, but he'd let her for now, knowing she most definitely needed it.

With her cheek against his shoulder, he felt her tightening her arms in a pulse as she spoke up again.

"That's why I called you."

kairi is the third protagonist of the kingdom hearts series and the third member of the destiny trio, alongside fan favorites sora and riku. sora/riku shippers HATE kairi, and will go out of their way to discount her at every turn. the hate for her ranges from typical "she's a boring bitch" to fans of soriku making five-hour long video essays reassuring their fellow shippers that the big bad kairi won't show up in the next installment – to quote one video, "she's in a box. she's on the shelf. four walls, no door." kairi is the greatest bogeyman the soriku fandom has ever known, to the point where most of said video essays and fanon meta posts focus not on why sora and riku should get together, but rather on why they don't like kairi.

Literally has a 100+ page Google doc fan theory writing her out of the narrative and putting all of her (few) canonical accomplishments onto half of the popular m/m ship (soriku). Don't even get me started on how her memory was completely written out of the canon plot of re:coded. KH is a nightmare to explain so dude trust me she is THE victim of yaoi

She is so fundamental to the plot and themes and narratives of game and yet it is near impossible to find anything about her thats not ship bashing pre-mlm with the other two characters. I dont even care if she ends up with one of the main characters i just want fans to see her as a cool character to love or like, anything other than “annoying comphet girl.” You can write your mlm but pleaae stop inventing comphet where it doesnt exist. she gets treated in-canon the way fandoms treat female characters that Threaten an m/m ship. it's like, "oh why don't you go sit in the corner and be pretty, misa, while the Men have intelligent conversation and pretend they aren't ten seconds from fucking each other, doesn't that sound nice?" it's infuriating. and MAYBE it's better now but i remember her getting treated the same way in fanfiction too, like we all need to do just as badly by our female secondary characters as fucking tsugumi ohba, but with the added insult of making her be alternately oblivious of the relationship between light and L or actively trying to sabotage it—incompetently, of course, because god forbid misa be allowed dignity or moments of cleverness.

she's one of the first characters I think of when I consider old school fandom misogyny. The annoying bitch and clingy crazy gf allegations were AFTER HER ASS. She's also a lot more intelligent than people gave her credit for, but most seem inclined to take the Very Biased word of our unreliable, narcissistic narrator and his homoerotic arch nemesis and claim that just because she's bubbly and into romance that she's also a complete moron. Which is blatantly untrue. Everyone was afraid of Misa girlbossing too hard. Killing people and devoting yourself to the deranged twink of your dreams even though you know he'll never love you back??? Having a hardcore goth aesthetic and being so Hot even literal Death Gods are into you?? God forbid women do ANYTHING!

Not only is she the victim of yaoi culture, she is the victim of early 2000s misogyny by an author that wanted to introduce a girl character because he knew his male rivals were getting too homoerotic. She is a goth bimbo icon who portrays what I think is one of the few callouts for stan culture and what parasocial relationships can do to both the stan and the idol. The fact that she is a toxic fan of Kira and also hot, funny, sociable is tragic in its own way, which I think the author did try to touch on but was too misogynistic too really get through. Of course, she was reduced to villain status by the fandom and anime alike because she got in the way of the supposed romance in their psychological horror anime.

How did I start modding? Literally no one has asked this, but here's my story, don't worry it's not long... I guess that depends on what your definition of “long” is, haha! Hang on, here we go.

On a random day in January, 2024, a few days before my birthday, I might add... I woke up to stars in my right eye. A few days later, I was told I had a very rare injury and it would never heal. Those are not words an artist/gamer wants to hear! Long story short, I am now legally blind in my right eye. If you think, oh that's not a huge deal, you can still see. Humor me, get a cheap pirate eyepatch, put that on, then pour yourself a cup of coffee. Not as easy as you thought, right? Depth perception. It’s a thing. Anyway, on with the story. Suffice it to say, I was depressed. Majorly. Then, through some random conversation somewhere, I found Stardew Valley.

Perfect! 2D animation, cute pixel art, story that's not sugar-coated anime, I love it! Got to year 3, TBH I've never played past year 3 because ADHD, and realized the dialogue was quite lacking. Then I discovered mods. What the-, it's a freakin' goldmine! Downloaded a lot of things, mostly dialogue, and tossed half of them. While playing through a Sebastian run, I saw it. Oh. My. God. It's a coding error glaring at me in my dialogue box. This is NOT acceptable. I tried to ignore it, but then it happened again. Okay, time for some investigation. I opened the folder and found... json files. Interesting, I wasn't entirely clueless since I do know HTML code from back when the internet was a baby, Facebook had no ads, and dinosaurs roamed the earth. Okay, okay, the internet was more like a spoiled toddler. Yes, I'm old. Shut up. But I digress. It didn't take long to discover the misplaced punctuation and go on my merry reality-avoiding way. Until I got bored again.

I looked for more Seb mods, but there were like seven. Three were yandere, not my jam, and only 2 were updated for 1.6 and were dialogue-only. Solution? Make my own mod for myself. I spent six weeks downloading mods, learning code, Googling to very little effect, writing dialogue, learning how to make an event, discovering I knew nothing, and on and on. The perfect distraction from the whole eye thing. I finished a decent draft, loaded it up, and praise Yoba, it worked! And on we play. At some point, I saw a comment complaining about the lack of Sebastian dialogue mods. Huh, yep, they're right. Too bad. Oh. Well, I guess I could load this thing I made, it's really just my own internal story monologue while playing the game, I'm NOT a writer, and most people probably won't get it. But I did spend a lot of time on this, and maybe someone out there will like it. Heck, no skin off my nose since it's free. So I took a deep breath, made peace with my inner demons, and threw it out into the void of Nexus, expecting it to be swallowed up and ignored. That... didn't happen.

In the first few hours, several people downloaded it. Huh, Nexus must have a decent search algorithm. That was literally all I thought about it. The next day, 300 downloads. And comments! Mostly positive with the exception of one wild demand I subsequently ignored. At one week, it had 3,000 unique downloads. I was floored, 3,000 weirdos downloaded my mod. Add to that, people seemed to actually like it! I've never gotten so much positive feedback for anything in my life. Seriously. Apparently, my oddball internal monologue, thanks ADHD, is quite entertaining. Heck, might as well make another one... and here we are. Yes, I've gotten negative comments and unreasonable demands, but I do my best to ignore them and practice staying positive. Trolls be damned! It's a lot harder to do that for yourself than for other people, turns out.

So, bottom line, found something interesting? Try it! Does it make you happy? Keep doing it! Even if it's only for yourself, do the thing and let it make you smile. Share it with the world if you're so inclined. Get out there and kick ass!!

so sorry it’s taken me so long to answer this I’m trying to get better at answering asks more timely I’m sorry! Thank you for the compliments you’re so sweet I’m glad you like liab and find it impressive!! so my writing set up is very unimpressive, it’s an iPad with a keyboard and my kitchen table (one day I’ll get myself a real desk I will!!) & typically I write everyday! I write super fast but usually the first round of writing is just my thoughts for the scenes without too much details and not overly smooth dialogue.

After I get words on paper (usually I average like 2-5k a writing session when I’m pulling the scene out of my mind for the first time) then I’ll go back over it again and again and AGAIN to bring the scene to life by Adding more detailing and making sure conversations sounds realistic lol. (A lot of my writing time is spent rewriting haha, so I can get the words down fast but I can spend a week on one pov working through it)

I do plot!!! I plot…. A lot. I’ve been plotting since day 1 and I have two notebooks now that I put all my character and plot detailing in. So details that happened to the characters that I need to revisit, symbolism, scars, trauma, things that I want to dig deeper into and of course what direction I want the characters to go (not that they listen very much!)

It helps me stay organized character wise & when it comes to plot I usually just plot by arc? (I’ve got everything in my head and key scenes stashed in a document page in my phone- but I don’t write it all out in detail, only the arc I’m working on) Ive been struggling to plot out this second to last arc because there’s so many working pieces but usually I write an outline of what I want, then add more specifics details into it and divide them into chapters at the end.

as for tools I use I have a notebook, google docs (so I can share <3) and a thesaurus webpage pulled up. I also have Grammarly too but I usually have it turned off until I wanna check something because it’s annoying & keeps asking me to use AI which is fucking obnoxious (don’t use AI!!!!)

LIAB IS SO LONG!!! realistically looking back I can see so many areas where I could have cut back or adjusted my writing style but this has been such a fun and BIG learning experience and it’s helped me understand writing so much more. Would I do it all the same again? Probably not? But do I regret anything I wrote? Absolutely not! It’s been such a fun experience and I’ve learned so much so yeah I really enjoy writing and I’m excited to see where the story goes as we come to an end!! Ahhh!!! So close to the end I can taste it lol

what's the writing process for this fic? and how long does each step take?

“how long does each step take?” lol you make it sound so much more professional than it truly is.

I start with a general idea of how each chapter should start and where they should end (ex. Chap 1 I wanted to start with drawing a comparison to the train and the tram, and wanted it to end with the botched teleport. Chap 6 I wanted to start with them getting the boat and end with the beginning of this new arc)

For the in between, I’m mostly just working with a general idea for things I want to establish or develop, and have to wing it from there. The radio stuff for instance, as well as the mean green stuff OG is going through are both ideas I have that get implemented when it feels right rather than because I have in my notes that that’s supposed to happen then.

Most of this fic is just an amalgamation of different scenes in my head that I’m figuring out how to put together, which might be obvious at some parts honestly 💀

The dialogue actually is something I usually write in the moment, although I do have a folder where I keep anything I come up with that I wanna use, assuming I’m at a point where I can’t use it at the moment. Otherwise, I tend to write out the whole conversation first and then go through later to add in descriptions of who’s saying what, half so I don’t lose the thread of the conversation and half so I have a bigger picture for how each character means what they say.

I use 3 different writing apps for not just this fic but basically any fic, for better or worse. Google docs, which I think I’ve mentioned enough this isn’t a surprise, the notes app on my phone (you’ll never guess when I swap to this one), and OneNote. Google Docs and OneNote are both for when I’m on my computer, the former where I do most of my writing and the latter is just where I store all of my fanfic. All of it. Notes is for anytime I’m on my phone, mostly because I like using it better than Google docs on mobile.

Last is the beta read, where I fix grammar errors and make last minute changes, as well as add in the <em> and </em> so the italics get carried over because they are VERY important to me.

I’m assuming this is about the 7 and how I mentioned a change that’s happened twice now. This change is just one of those scenes I intended for later that’s getting added in early, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. I’m trying not to spoil it (anymore than I already might’ve) but once you read it you’ll probably be able to tell what both were, though I am still happy to clarify in case I’m simply too confusing of a person (very likely).

TASK 001 - THE NEWS

LOCATION: Natalia's Apartment in Paris, France DATE: Friday, September 2, 2005 TASK: How does your character react to learning of Richard’s passing?

Natalia had come home on her lunch break for a bit of a reprieve from work. Geneviève was deep into her preparation for Fashion Week. It put the entire studio on edge, making everyone from the stylists to the designers antsy and ill-tempered. If she had to suffer through another rant about a change Geneviève made that the others didn’t agree with, she might just bury a pair of 10-inch shears into one of her coworkers. So, for her sake — and she supposed everyone else's — she was spending some time away from them.

She was in her small kitchen, finding solace in a chilled bottle of rosé when she heard a knock on her door. Her first thought was that it better not be anyone from work with more piffling complaints about Geneviève’s choices. When she pulled open the door to find a courier on the other side, her brows pulled together. She wasn't expecting anything. After a quick signature, she received an envelope. She figured it must have been an invitation of some kind since people texted these days.

Reading that the piece of mail had come from Woodrow, Natalia quickly went through the important dates she knew were coming up. Richard’s birthday had passed, so perhaps it was something for Mrs. Tristan? She didn’t get further than one or two steps from the door before she opened the envelope to find out.

It was a letter, not an invitation. In pristine handwriting that she recognized as Mrs. Tristan's, it detailed the news of Richard's death, an invitation to his subsequent funeral, and that she and the rest of the wards were left Woodrow House and its estate in equal parts. I urge you to come together in this time of need, it said. Richard’s funeral will be held on Sunday.

She blinked, her gaze wandering off momentarily to try and process what she'd just read before her eyes found the letter once more. She went over it again and again to make sure there was no mistake in how she understood it. Each swirl of ink. Letter by letter. Word by word. But every time she made it to the end, the reality remained stubbornly unchanged: Richard was... dead? The thought felt like a cruel joke, a surreal twist in an otherwise ordinary day.

She couldn't say how long she'd been staring at the letter before she finally noticed the trembling in her fingers. Then very quickly, she became aware of everything else: An unsteadiness in her chest. A tightness in her throat. Before she could give the reaction any more room to grow, she knew she had to move. There was a flight to book. A suitcase to pack. A very fussy designer to disappoint.

"Yes, and I'm leaving for Santorini tonight." There's a laugh. Natalia squared her jaw. Her boss thought she was joking.

"I'll be gone for a week. Two at most," she added.

That was enough to get Geneviève to look up from the design she was working on. There was a look in her eyes she's never seen before. A cross between fascination (likely over what Natalia was saying right now) and disbelief (that she would say it at all).

"You seem to misremember what our roles are, Natalia. I'm the one that gets to leave out of the blue while you stay behind and take care of things."

Natalia swallowed slowly. While she'd normally take more time to consider what she was saying, the words that left her were... unrefined. Showed a lack of tact. For the person she was speaking to. For her future. Her mind felt so clouded by the weight of what she'd read an hour ago that she was having trouble feeling much of herself at all.

"Richard passed away. I'm needed at—" Home. "—Woodrow. There are things that need to be taken of."

There was a shift in Geneviève's demeanor — momentarily — but a shift she caught all the same.

"I'm sorry to hear that."

The condolences felt odd to hear. Natalia only just considered that she might be hearing more of it once she returned.

"But you can't leave," Geneviève continued on. "Not right now. We're deep in our preparation for Fashion Week. You're needed here. You know I can't stand the level of buffoonery some of these people are capable of. We can send flowers. An extravagant arrangement. I'll even pay for it."

"My flight is booked. I've packed. I'm only here now because it felt important to tell you in person."

Geneviève's lips sat in an unpleasant twist. Clearly astounded by the amount of gall Natalia had. Her audacity was something her boss liked about her, but clearly not in this moment.

"Don't push me, Natalia."

"I'm going whether it's okay or not."

They shared a heavy, heavy stare. An entire conversation had without any words. Natalia recognized a fiendish anger in Geneviève's eyes. Some disappointment over the realization that perhaps they weren't as similar as she thought. Possible regret over how she had let the lines blur between them. The comfort they shared with each other, built through catty talks over others and a few careless evenings in each other's beds, building to a point of casual betrayal.

"If you leave... you don't come back."

Natalia wasn't a fool. Of course it was something she considered going into this conversation. But the news of Richard's passing drowned out all other thoughts — especially ones with reason. She'd never felt such a desperation to be anywhere before. Like she couldn't breathe properly until she got there. She'd throw her whole life away, without much thought, if it meant seeing the dark mahogany walls of Woodrow again.

"Then I won't come back. I wish you the best for Fashion Week."

She'll be bringing a lot more luggage than she thought to the airport tomorrow.

foolish is way more absentminded/no thoughts head empty than usual (like forgets what hes saying in the middle of a sentence bad) bc of fucked up hormones pregnancy brain

he tries having one or two blankets wrapped around him on stream to be sort of like a temporary nest when his instincts start going wacky. sometimes it works sometimes he accidentally gets too sleepy and begrudgingly admits that he should probably end stream bc he can barely think thru the omega nesting instinct brain fog

actually on that note i think there a couple of times where punz basically forces him to take a break from streaming. it never lasts very long

i have decided that the timing of their baby is such that foolish is like 7/8 months when christmas rolls around bc i was at family christmas brainrotting what it would be like for them to have like cute domestic family christmas while foolish is still pregnant. he falls asleep on the couch leaning against punz's shoulder after dinner its very cute

they maybe do a thing where like they have christmas with one family on eve and one on day and have a slightly chaotic nighttime flight? do the flight times work out for that idk. but its bc their families wanna see them bc theyre all excited for the baby awwww

wait just remembered the whole scene i had imagined for this where they land in mass super late at night/early morning and once they get back to punz's parents house p much immediately go to bed but foolish cant sleep bc the babies keep moving and kicking and punz scootches down so hes all curled up next to his tummy and purrs at them so that they calm down and foolish can sleep

at the end of his pregnancy foolish is just like capital d Done like get these babies out my back hurts im tired my belly is fuckin huge. ive got tits now

punz very happily gives him back massages tho <3 even if he sometimes gets overdramatically whiny about it first

foolish is one day horrified to realize none of his usual foods are appealing and he is instead craving some weird ass food combo

when foolish starts showing more and its gonna be harder to hide on stream they do a cute lil classic pregnancy announcement photo where punz like has his hands around him on his belly (maybe taken by karl? or someone? i just realized i have no idea where i hc them living like i guess its always been vaguely nc but idk if thats like. necessary? idk whatever) but im imagining the one they end up posting isnt even one of the ones they were posing for its like a candid one where theyre looking at each other over foolishs shoulder or like laughing or something idk its cute its not staged and weird lookin

oh also at some point punz convinces foolish to do a maternity photoshoot (well kind of. its just punz taking pics of him in his underwear bc he maybe has a Thing for heavily pregnant foolish) and at first foolish feels kinda embarrassed and silly and punz keeps complimenting him and making him flustered (i have a couple of lil doodles of this + a few other ones related to this au in a sketchbook somewhere but i dont feel like digging them out + taking pics rn ajfsbajskb)

final note would like everyone to know as i was typing this foolish lost his water bucket in mc and he phrased it like "my water just broke" and chat was all like "wow congratulations whos the father." like what are the chances. also why is he like this. also can u really blame me for making this au when he is like this

Spider Queen's Backstory // Headcanons

It's hard to draw in the forest. That's why I suddenly returned to gacha 😃 It's faster, but the efficiency is kinda the same(?). I really like what I did with the Spider Queen! 🥰 I also added my headcanon design from her childhood-

Khem-Khem- About the childhood. FanWiki has information in the 「Behind the Scenes」 that the Spider Queen herself wasn't in the novel(?) Journey to the West 😧 Since the Spider Queen has no backstory and she died, which most likely means we will never know about her backstory, I decided to headcanon her.

AND THEN SUDDENLY THE 100-EYED DEMON APPEARS IN THE TRAILER. If he doesn't mention the Spider Queen I'll die.

FanWiki also mentions that the Spider Queen is may be based on the Seven Spider-Demon Sisters. I googled what kind of sisters they are and read that after they were beaten by Sun Wukong, they went to The 100-Eyed Demon. He kidnaps the Monk, but Sun Wukong takes the sisters captive. During the argument, The 100-Eyed Demon bluffs badly and Sun Wukong kills all the sisters. What is very sadz 🤧

My Headcanon:

The Spider Queen is the youngest of seven sisters. They live in a deep cave, which the older sisters tried to equip as their palace. Due to the venom, (which the Spider Queen had not yet discovered in herself), she doesn't have the ability to turn into a spider like her sisters (or like Huntsman and Goliath. She, like Syntax, uses a machine to have spider-like legs. In the special, her human legs can be seen). Because of this reason, the sisters called her a princess, and some of them reassured her that as soon as she becomes Queen this ability will appear (Spoiler, no). But it's too long to wait for her to grow up. Therefore, the Spider Queen spent most of her time working with mechanisms (she already had mechanical spider-legs before Syntax appeared. There must be a reason why, because in the 「Noodle or Death」 she was completely alone).

Because of the different attitudes of the sisters towards the little Spider Queen developed in her complexes: the desire to be the real Queen, hatred of teasing and the desire to be accepted (a hidden desire that the Spider Queen shows only in a conversation with MK before her death).

One day, her sisters kidnap a monk, but then were defeated by Sun Wukong. The angry sisters, with the little Spider Queen, goes to their friend(?) The 100-Eyed Demon for help. The 100-Eyed Demon agrees to help them take revenge on Sun Wukong. At first, the Spider Queen likes her The 100-Eyed Demon. His palace really does look like a palace, and he even wears an gold Emperor hat. However, her sisters are captured by the monkey. The Spider Queen was powerless and hoped that The 100-Eyed Demon would save the sisters. But that didn't happen. Sun Wukong crushed the sisters like tiny spiders.

The 100-Eyed Demon was also traumatized. The sisters were almost like family to him, and he essentially killed them with his own hands. He wanted to cheer up the Spider Queen and allow her to live with him, but her resentment had no end. She was completely disappointed and hated The 100-Eyed Demon for his bad bluff. She stole the sword with two blades from his palace and ran back to her and her sisters’ cave.

She builds her mechanical spider legs and attacks villages. One day, she notices how her venom affects mortals and gathers an army, turning the most useful mortals into Spider Demons (Huntsman, there were more of them, but they died). She actually becomes the Queen and even builds her own palace. However, Sun Wukong ruins everything again. He destroys her palace and kills her minions. The surviving mortals build a new city right on the spot where the Spider Queen's palace used to be and call it Megapolis.

Quite interesting, isn't it? Adds depth to the Spider Queen. My favorite moment, obviously, is when the Spider Queen loses her sisters and gets disappointed in The 100-Eyed Demon. This drama is very touching. I can't even imagine how The 100-Eyed Demon feels about this. He accidentally killed dear demons, and the only one who survived hates him now.

I was incredibly sure that The 100-Eyed Demon would 't appear on the show. Never ever. Can you imagine my face when he suddenly appears in the trailer? Honestly, I also thought he was a centipede. 😏😏😏 I guessed right here, but I didn’t expect at all that he would have pink skin and white hair. On the other hand, the design from the show is much cooler than what I wanted to do. Therefore, I’m even glad that he appeared in the show, but just like with the Kings of Underworld, I’m afraid that he will ruin all my headcanons 🥲🥲🥲🥲
