What'st like having a mikikyu? I always got bad stories told to me about them as a kid- but they've always been interesting eheh

Mimikyu aren't too scary once you get used to being around them, as long as you don't take their costume off you'll be perfectly fine. Unless you piss them off. Even then, nothing too bad should happen. Honestly, I don't get all the stories about them. Mimikyu are very sweet most of the time.

Having a Mimikyu is definitely different from a regular Pokemon, though. They don't really make much noise, just scuttle around a lot. In the dark. In the middle of the night...

Anyways. They're very particular about their disguises too. I've heard a lot of Mimikyu will maintain their costumes themselves, but Mimi trusts me enough to come to me whenever they get a tear. Once again, in the middle of the night. I don't know how to sew, but I try my best. (This is why Mimi's battle disguise is so haphazardly patched up, lol.)

It IS very rewarding though, don't get me wrong there. They're very affectionate, if a bit clingy at times. Expect to be giving them a lot more attention than normal, they need to be reassured that you love them a lot. It's more than worth it in my opinion.

Mimi steps back instinctively. Her eyelights widen and her ears flatten.

She meows again, this one a bit quieter.

T sees a droid walk in her direction.

It looks mostly like Vivi, but this one is a bit smaller. Instead of the usual pattern on the legs, this droid's front legs are all white, with the back ones being black with horizontal white stripes where there would normally be yellow hazard ones. Where there would usually be yellow orbs atop the droid's head is instead a simplified recreation of a maid crown, and it lacks wings or a tail. Finally, it's visor displays timid white eyelights instead of Vivi's usually smug yellow ones.

When it gets close enough to spot T, the droid stops moving and lightly meows.

When T hears the meow, she turns to the source.

Once spotting the droid, she gasp lightly. "Hi Mimi..." She crouches down slowly as to not spook the cat copy.

I’ve seen a lot of talk about how JK loves Jimin in the show, many have pointed out all the things he says and does for Jimin. But what does Jimin do for JK? How did we see him love Jk in the show because I’m struggling to see it and hate that.

I’m reading Hunter Davies' biography of the Beatles, and really noticing how he observes class and accent. the times he talks about accents. Davies is the same generation as the Beatles, similarly Northern and working class, very aware of how much that mattered and how it was signalled.

For the Beatles to speak in Liverpool accents was a very big deal, a generational shift from the time when British working class people, particularly entertainers, were expected/pressured to adopt middle-class accents ("received pronunciation", or RP) if they wanted to get ahead.

But keeping your accent isn't necessarily simple either. Within "working class Liverpool", there are clear variations. George’s is broader than Paul’s, say, which also reflects the layers of the class system. Paul’s family was working class, but ambitious to improve their status - which is exactly why he was encouraged to soften and “correct” his accent. So the different Beatles grew up with different pressures to change or stay the same - and with identity and aspiration baked into how you sound, that could get painful.

Interestingly, while Davies is very aware of class, I haven't noticed him commenting on George or Ringo's accents - perhaps because they don't seem to have modified them? Does it mean they’re more grounded, or is it just be another example of writers focusing on Lennon-McCartney?

This Saniwa is not kind or easy to get along with. Ouji is temperamental, childish in his anger, but also very smart and calculating, using his power as a Sage for his own selfish purposes. He is under house-arrest in a pocket dimension, which also functions as his citadel. In there, he plays dollhouse with his swords in a palace-like setting, so everyone is dressed accordingly, so as to not to break his immersion. This will also come into play with how he treats others. He is the prince and emperor of his court (citadel) and should be treated with such respect. As I’ve been trying to make some background for my FC and my chocobo racing with Mimiteh, I realized this could be some nice things to pick up for anyone here. Also might be some hooks, if anyone wants to engage in rp with Mimi. So, here they are:

Chocobo racing news!

And don’t worry, I won’t claim this is “all” chocobo racing happening. I assume there are a lot more chocobo races than just the ones I will be posting here. These are just the ones Mimiteh participates in. The names are simply fictional NPCs I created out of a whim for it. So if anything does not work for you or collides with any of your stuff? Feel free to ignore it or simply say, this is just another race in the region – there could be several other races happen as well.

So, no territorial claims from me. Just some invitation to pick this up for inspiration. You need a topic to talk about? No need to talk about the weather, talk about the recent chocobo races! Want to bet on the races or make some money with it? Or lose it? Do it! I’ll see how much time I can put in here to give you some background. Some weeks it will just be the basics, sometimes I might throw in some interesting event.

This is basically like Fantasy Football with happy birds! As I never did Fantasy Football and I need to find my groove here, this might evolve over time. Don’t expect something too elaborated, because I usually build these things up step by step. I rarely do a lot of ooc pre-planning. I just improvise a lot.

Quick summary: This was an unusual race and not part of an on-going series or the season. The annual “High spirited racing” tournament in the Shroud. Several consecutive races with some weird point system for each race. In the end, points were added and the final results are as seen above. Also, special rules (very strict) to keep the spirits calm. Who could know racing could be this complicated?

How it went for Mimiteh: Surprisingly well! She complained a bit before about the weather. And to be fair, weather in the Shroud indeed is challenging for her and her chocobo. And the first three days were hard for them. But in the end, it cleared up and they finally managed to gain more points. Not enough to win, but still – a remarkable result especially in the Shroud! One of the best for the grumpy chocobo jockey in a long time. Commentators even commented on how she seemed in a way better form than she used to be – even more relentless in her pursuits and more aggressive.

also it’s worth noting that i did an rp in aprp once where some guy, rping as tio, tried to strike a deal with me, rping as zee, and used the whole “i was once like you” thing to try and convince me, and when i said no, he ended up wreaking havoc (chasing after me n the other safe place members, kidnapping mimi at one point) because that was the consequence for not accepting his deal and i’ve been thinking about that rp for ages bc of how surprisingly good it was and idk turning it into a fic would be cool

HI HI HELLO uh . i wasnt actually expecting sm1 to ask about my oc hahah anyway yyeeesss let me rant :))))c (there is lots of ramblings under the cut so)

their name is miharu amachi (if i accidentally say amagi its because its a typo they are not related to hiiro or rinne) pronouns they/them and he/him is ok for them too ^_^ they're like. i think 18 or 19 and they are an idol (yes they are an enstars oc) in the unit crescendo! which is an rp group im in with some friends :D ive drawn one of the other characters before (kiyama) and ive drawn miharu a couple of times too ^_^ (here and here) the colors are so inconsistent i need to make a character design. thingy soon < cannot because i am so busy all the time now

when you first meet them they come across as really calm and cool, and a little like an older sibling. they make sure that you're safe and as long as you are you can do whatever..! mostly. they are a very caring person and they want to make sure that everyone will be alright :D

SOME THINGS ABOUT MIHARU!! i sometimes will call them mimi because nicknames :) theyre mostly associated with green and they love plants. i dont mean like plants. i mean they LOVE plants. you go into their room you will see like five succulents on their desk and a bunch of hanging pots too. they love love plants.

SUPER IMPORTANT!!!! before being an idol, they are an actor! they've acted in plays and such since they were a child and only started doing films when they were a teen (id say like. 15? so they have like 4 years of acting experience) and with this theyve learned how to "act normal" around people so. angst potential anyone? :)

they also have a really nice singing voice! id say their voice is soft and smooth? yeah thats it. they mostly do harmonies in their discography also their dancing isnt All There but they are working on it !! they trip sometimes but its ok they know how to fall because acting 👍

sicne this is an enstars oc i have to say where they went to school! they went to yumenosaki for two years and then had an Unexplained gap year before they went back to the "new ES" < this is a premise/setting thing for the rp group its a whole thing basically the idol course is co-ed now and theres a new dorm building that crescendo is in and theres a whole nother event thats kinda like restructuring its a whole bunch i am Not explaining it well but yeah ^_^ its super fun weve had one session already and i cant wait for more

OOH OOH interactions with others... id say theyre more of a "go with the flow" type person? while in yumenosaki they were always like a backup / backstage dancer of sorts. their whole vibe is. backstage dancers and harmonies (both things they do) aren't needed to make good art, but they're nice to have! miharu isn't always needed but theyre nice to have :) i think a really important part of their character is trying to heal from what theyve experienced in the past (which is subject to change) and learning to accept that yes, you are an important part of this unit and we would miss you if you were gone!

ORIGINS: Experiments in Cania had a tendency of going wrong more often than not. That's why research facilities were built as far from Mephistar and each other as possible, so that when they eventually went up in flames it wouldn’t compromise the other facilities.

It was to no one's surprise when the 7th facility exploded. The lord of the Eighth was eager to see results which may have led to the untimely explosion of the building and death of the staff, but no one thought much about it when that familiar white glow emanated from the horizon. Another failed experiment, not unusual in Cania. What was unusual was the magnitude of it. All the schools of hellfire scattered across the realm were hit with an earthquake, and even Mephistar suffered a slight tremor. The sky was pure white for a second, so bright barely anyone could look up without having their eyes seared by the glow. It hid a single white hot rogue spark that shot up with incredible speed. It tore the barrier out of the Eighth and it broke out of the hells. This rogue shooting star traveled across realms, it was the deposit of many wishes until it ran out of momentum and took hold in the forest of a nearby village of a different realm.

The fire spread quicker than a normal one, consuming everything in its path at an unnatural speed. Trees, flowers, houses, villagers. Everyone ran as fast as they could, but for some it wasn't enough. A mother had to be held back as she watched her child go up in flames, the child’s screams dying out abruptly as soon as they had started. The silhouette of the child was lost in the white hot glow of the fire. A few days passed until the fire extinguished, and there was nothing left in the land but charred dirt. A child woke up to that barren landscape, confused. His appearance was similar to that of the landscape he had consumed; green skin, and voluminous hair with shades of green, and hints of yellow and orange peeking through the layers. His eyes were a bright yellow, and his pupils were slitted, with waves dancing around it, like flames.

BACKSTORY: Amay was an orphan growing up in the streets with other kids who got left behind. Though in his case, he had always been alone. No one questioned him much when he said he had no parents, and he didn't go deep into his earliest memory being charred dirt and smoke. Him and his friends would steal and fight to get by. There was this one man who looked like he was part of a patriar family, he stood out among the rest of the crowd. Someone from the upper city was a rare sight in the alleyways and marketplaces Amay and his friends had made their home. Usually he'd steer clear from people who drew too much attention to themselves, he knew they made terrible targets. But something about that man lured him. The promise of money, perhaps. The luxury of a good meal. So he went for it, and when he came back to his friends holding a pouch heavy with gold the fear he had felt in the moment of stealing was nothing compared to the happiness he felt seeing his friends decide what they were going to eat tonight.

Weeks passed by, eventually the money ran out and hard times came again, where they'd be lucky if they got anything to eat for the day. The mood in Amay's group darkened, somehow worse than how it was before they had all that money. He felt hunger in a way he hadn't before. And he felt desperate to provide again, to fix whatever he had broken. When he was at his lowest, Amay spotted him again. The patriar. He was looking at produce over some stall, as if he actually planned to buy any of those fly-infested fruits when he probably had orchards full of the reddest apples all to himself. Amay felt the anger bubble up inside him, and decided to go for it again. He needed the money. His friends deserved the money.

That night, everyone was smiling and laughing again. Food was abundant.

Amay tried to not let their funds deplete so easily this time, but it was hard to steal enough from enough different people to make up for the money the troupe spent each day feeding themselves and buying clothes and things for the spot they had made their own in the city. Didn't help one of the kids got robbed of a cut of the money while he had been trying to buy food. Amay tried to remain calm, but he felt the clock ticking as each night drew to a close and the rations grew smaller.

When he saw the patriar loitering around the same marketplace again, a chill ran down his spine. Everything in him screamed to not go near him. Something was wrong. He had never been so sure of something being just so wrong. And yet, he moved forward. He tried to pickpocket him again. Before he even knew what was going on, he was somewhere else. It was a fancy room, full of decorations and things he didn't recognize. Things he had never seen. He sat on a tall chair, across the patriar. On the table between them was a board with pieces placed on top of it. His own clothes were different too; a frilly dress, stones around his neck, and his hair was done in two afro buns. The man spoke of games and skill and talent, and told Amay that if he beat him at this game he'd let him go. His other option option was signing a piece of paper and staying with the man. They played for so long but Amay never felt thirst or hunger. He got better with each game, but it was never enough. He got close enough to a win, but his loss was crushing when he realized the man had been playing him the whole time, letting him think his strategy was good until he got his hopes up about winning.

He learnt new words after that; he was a warlock, and Mephistopheles was his patron. He was a pawn, a witness, and a member of his house who was not to go anywhere lest his patron wished it so.

The rest of his life he spent it in the eighth circle of Hell, as Mephistopheles' pawn. He was involved in the forging of contracts to doom other souls to his same fate or worse. But Mephistopheles never managed to get rid of all of his personality; no matter the punishment, he continues to deface art and buildings with artwork of his own.

What advice would you give to a new RPer? What does your URL mean?  How involved are you in your rp community?  What do you do when you get writer’s block? What has made you completely lose your chill?

1. What advice would you give to a new RPer ?  My best advice would be to just have fun ! To truly experiment around your blog —write all sorts of plots that bring you joy, post little things about your muse(s) (be it edits, headcanons, playlists, etc...) or even customize a template that really fits your muse. Just never feel pressured to do things only because the majority of people are also doing them — what matters is if you enjoy them ! Otherwise, you might find yourself burned out pretty quickly. Speaking of which, whenever you feel like writing is more of a chore than something that brings you pleasure, by all means take a break — the rp partners that truly value you will understand. And last but not least, never be afraid to communicate and reach out ! As an introvert, I know this is better said than done, but trust me that for the most part, you'll only end up regretting the times you didn't. 😊

2. What does your URL mean?  Back when I started this blog in 2019, I only had two muses — Nana (an OC heavily inspired by Ai Yazawa's manga and its respective anime, which was and still is very dear to me), and Rupert (a canon muse from the movie "Sex Doll", who was so mysterious in his source material that I had to rely on headcanons to build his backstory 😆). So the url and blog's name was a direct reference to them & their personalities — Naturally Nana, Recklessly Rupert.

3. How involved are you in your rp community?  I'd say that at the moment I'm not too involved in the rp community — I only rp on this blog and keep a small circle with meaningful interactions (mostly because I've recently came back from a hiatus and I'm taking baby steps before venturing any further 😆). But speaking of meaningful interactions, I'm the kind of partner that gets super invested in our muses' little universes and absolutely loves to create edits/moodboards & playlists for them ! I also run a memes and resources blog for the rpc — Mimi's Memes — which has been somewhat inactive lately, but I do plan on starting to create things again. 😊

4. What do you do when you get writer’s block?  Most of the time, I just take a break and try to entertain myself with other activities. More often than not, inspiration will come, sparkled by a scene from a movie/series or some lyrics from a song. 😊 Speaking of which, I find it really helpful to write listening to some music ! I've got a few songs that I associate with the muses (mine and/or my partner's) or the scene I'm working on, and it really helps setting the mood and getting those replies flowing !

5. What has made you completely lose your chill?  I must say that in all these years, I've been lucky enough to avoid any unnecessary drama and toxicity, and therefore my experience has been mostly positive. So thankfully I don't really have anything to comment on this topic. 🙏
