How to Build a Website and Application from Scratch
In the modern digital landscape, a professionally crafted website or application is no longer a luxury—it’s a necessity for businesses, brands, and startups alike. Whether you're a solo entrepreneur or managing a growing company, understanding how to build a website and application from the ground up can empower you to bring your ideas to life and reach a wider audience.
Define Your Goals and Requirements
Before you start designing or coding anything, it's critical to clearly define your objectives:
What is the purpose of the website/app?
Who is your target audience?
What features are necessary?
Will it be a static website, dynamic platform, or full-stack web app?
Pro Tip: Create wireframes or sketches of the user interface (UI) to visualize your idea.
2) Choose the Right Tech Stack
Depending on your project, select the technologies that suit your needs. Some popular stacks include:
Frontend: HTML, CSS, JavaScript (React, Vue, Angular)
Backend: Node.js, Python (Django), PHP, Ruby on Rails
Database: MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL
Mobile App: Flutter, React Native, Swift (iOS), Kotlin (Android)
Tip: For startups, using open-source tools or low-code platforms can reduce costs and time.
3) Register a Domain and Choose Hosting
Your domain name is your digital identity. Choose a name that reflects your brand, and register it through a reliable provider like GoDaddy, Namecheap, or Google Domains.
For hosting, consider:
Shared Hosting for small websites
Cloud Hosting (like AWS, Azure, DigitalOcean) for scalable applications
4) Design the User Interface (UI/UX)
An intuitive, mobile-responsive design increases user engagement and conversions. Tools like Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch can help you prototype the layout before development.
5) Begin Development: Frontend and Backend
Start with building the frontend using frameworks like React or Vue.
Develop the backend API to handle business logic, databases, and server interactions.
Ensure proper data validation, security, and error handling.
6) Integrate Features & APIs
Add features like:
User registration/login
Contact forms
Payment gateways (Stripe, Razorpay, PayPal)
Third-party APIs (Maps, SMS, etc.)
7) Test Thoroughly Before Launch Conduct:
Unit Testing (for individual components)
Integration Testing (for connected modules)
User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to get feedback from real users
Tools: Jest, Selenium, Cypress, Postman
8) Launch and Monitor
Deploy your app/website using tools like:
CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
Monitoring tools (Google Analytics, Hotjar, Sentry)
Announce your launch across social media, email lists, and digital forums.
9) Market Your Product
Use SEO, content marketing, paid ads, and social media to promote your new platform. Don’t forget to collect user feedback and iterate.
Conclusion
Building a website or application Development from scratch may sound complex, but with the right plan, tools, and mindset, it becomes a structured process. Whether you choose to DIY or hire expert developers, understanding each phase helps ensure a smooth journey from idea to launch.

Sophia Xafa solves the main problem of Carl Jung, yes? The problem of Jung is that he wishes for some underlying, material, substrata for culture. He is a Democritus, a natural philosopher digging to find the atom of the mind, the smallest meaningful idea. He wishes to find the building blocks of philosophy in the mythology of a culture. This is nonsense you understand. He searches for the mind-atoms in stories of dragons and floods. In this, he mistakes popularity for universality, and universality for the material.
Xafa is a student of Jungian thought, but instead of nonsense stories of lobsters, she mines for the mind-atoms in the market. Ahh yes, here we have something. Here we have the web of material connections. Here we have the mathematics of not only value, but the perception of value. A difficult thing to quantify, yes? Xafa attempts this, and I think many argue she fails, but her words for hypnoeconomic philosophy get the…the –what is the fucking English phrase– get the ball rolling.
Xafa I think begins from a place of frustration with Jung. It is difficult to spend much time with Jung before kicking over discussions of dreams and motifs and other nonsense. I think Xafa desired material application for Jungian theories. She is a woman who grows up in Greece as the fascists take over. I think Sophia Xafa is disillusioned of many things. Ideology, politics, art, religion, and so on. She comes to hate these things, or some element of these things. She rejects what she calls the “illusions of modernity.”
What makes art good to Sophia Xafa? How much one can pay for it. Art is purchased for 100 dollars, it is one hundred dollars good. Anything beyond this is an illusion of modernity for Sophia Xafa. What is more –I will repeat her Einstein metaphor here– just as a steel ball will warp a stretched fabric of silk, and just as the moon will warp the fabric of space-time, a painting worth 100 dollars will warp the fabric of market-neurology.

With the fast fashion industry… how it is… finding sustainable ways to make fabric is super important. Fibers from synthetic fabrics make up 35% of the microplastics that make their way to the ocean. Natural fibers sourced from plants or animals are much more environmentally sound options, including silk.
Currently, the only way to get natural silk on a large scale is to harvest it from silkworms. You’ve probably heard about the strength and durability of spider silk (it is 6x stronger than Kevlar!) but as of yet there hasn’t been a good way of getting it. Raising spiders the way people do silkworms isn’t really an option. Spiders need a lot of room to build their webs compared to silkworms, and individual spiders don’t produce that much silk. Plus, when you put a whole bunch of spiders in captivity together, they tend to start eating each other.
Attempts to artificially recreate spider silk have also been less than successful. Spider silk has a surface layer of glycoproteins and lipids on it that works as a sort of anti-aging “skin”- allowing the silk to withstand conditions such as sunlight and humidity. But this layer has been very tricky to reproduce.
However, as scientists in China realized, silkworms produce that same kind of layer on their silk. So what if we just genetically modified silkworms to produce spider silk?
That is exactly what the researchers at Donghua University in Shanghai did. A team of researchers introduced spider silk protein genes to silkworms using CRISPR-Cas9 gene editing and microinjections in silkworm eggs. In addition to this, they altered the spider silk proteins so that they would interact properly with the other proteins in silkworm glands. And it worked! This is the first study ever to produce full length spider silk proteins from silkworms.
The applications of this are incredibly exciting. In addition to producing comfortable textiles and new, innovative bulletproof vests, silkworm generated spider silk could be used in cutting edge smart materials or even just to create better performing sutures. In the future, this team intends to research how to modify this new spider silk to be even stronger, and they are confident that “large-scale commercialization is on the horizon."

Well. I have a feeling I'm about to have a million new followers. (March 31st, 2025; not an April Fool's joke, unless Nanowrimo has very poor taste and timing)
youtube
Here's a link that explains in long video format the whole entire thing in detail:
youtube
and to sum it up:
This blog was made as an Anti-Generative AI to Nanowrimo, as well as a way to actually build a friendly, low-pressure, helpful community of aspiring writers, without the hard-fast-do-it-or-die pressure brought on by nanowrimo.
There is no official "contest" -- only a community coming together to inspire each other to write, help out with motivation by setting community goals, keeping participation motivation via Trackbear.app, etc!
The most popular writing challenge is still November for most people, but I myself have also started to keep a year-round, daily writing goal of 444 via the website 4thewords, which has been an extreme help in getting me to write a little at a time.
This year has been very hectic for everyone what with the election results so I haven't been very active on tumblr (I think everyone can understand that) but I was originally planning on also having each month of the year being a different themed writing / art challenge but got a bit distracted real life.
So, what is the Novella November Challenge?
It's a fun challenge where writers come together to write 30,000 (or your own personal writing goal!) words in 30 days, sharing tips, writing advice, plot ideas, accessibility aids, and committing to having fun while explicitly fighting back against Generative AI by using our own words and disavowing the use of scraping and generating to take away the livelyhoods of artists of all spectrums, and proving everyone who insists "generative AI is an accessibility tool" wrong by committing to our creative visions and making it easier for everyone to find the tools they need to succeed by sharing tips, free programs, and finding a like-minded community to support you! 💙
There is no official website, there is no required place to show your participation, this is a community initiative that will never be monetized by predatory sponsors or dangerous moderators abusing their power.
This blog is here to inspire everyone, regardless of experience level, to write and create the story they want to tell, in their own words, while striving to remain a fun, low-pressure challenge that doesn't turn into a stressful spiral, like often happened with Nano.
Want to start writing but not sure how? Don't have money to spend on expensive writing programs? Have no fear!
LibreOffice: An always free, open-source alternative to Microsoft Word (and Microsoft's other office suits)
4Thewords: A website (both desktop and mobile web browser) that syncs your writing cross platform to the cloud, with built-in daily word goals, streak tracking, and you can fight monsters with your word count to game-ify writing!
Trackbear: A website dedicated to tracking your writing, setting custom goals, and creating leaderboards for community participation; you can join the year-long community leaderboard with the Join Code "f043cc66-6d5d-45b2-acf1-204626a727ba" and a November-limited one will release on November 1st as well.
Want to use Text to Speech to dictate your novel?
Most modern phones have a built-in option available on your keyboard settings which can be used on any writing program on your phone, and most modern PCs that allow a microphone (including headphone) connection has some kind of native dictation function, which you can find by opening your start panel and searching your computer for "Speech to text" or "voice to text".
Want to write while on the go, but don't want to / can't use the small phone keyboard to type, or speech to text?
You can, for as cheap as $40, buy a bluetooth keyboard that you can pair with your smart phone or tablet and use to write in any and all writing applications on your phone -- this allows you to write on the goal (especially using cross-platform websites or services, like 4thewords or google docs) , and the small screen can also help minimize distractions by muting notifications in your writing time.

hi there! im a fan of your page 💕
can you give me the best studying techniques?
hi angel!! @mythicalmarion tysm for asking about study techniques 🤍 i'm so excited to share my secret methods that helped me maintain perfect grades while still having a dreamy lifestyle + time for self-care!! and thank you for being a fan of my blog, it means everything to me. <3
~ ♡ my non-basic study secrets that actually work ♡ ~

(don't mind the number formatting)
the neural bridging technique this is literally my favorite discovery!! instead of traditional note-taking, i create what i call "neural bridges" between different subjects. for example, when studying both literature + history, i connect historical events with the literature written during that time. i use a special notebook divided into sections where each page has two columns - one for each subject. the connections help you understand both subjects deeper + create stronger memory patterns!!
here's how i do it:
example:
left column: historical event
right column: literary connection
middle: draw connecting lines + add small insights
bottom: write how they influenced each other
the shadow expert method this changed everything for me!! i pretend i'm going to be interviewed as an expert on the topic i'm studying. i create potential interview questions + prepare detailed answers. but here's the twist - i record myself answering these questions in three different ways:
basic explanation (like i'm talking to a friend)
detailed analysis (like i'm teaching a class)
complex discussion (like i'm at a conference)
this forces you to understand the topic from multiple angles + helps you explain concepts in different ways!!
the reverse engineering study system instead of starting with the basics, i begin with the most complex example i can find and work backwards to understand the fundamentals. for example, in calculus, i start with a complicated equation + break it down into smaller parts until i reach the basic concepts.
my process looks like:
find the hardest example in the textbook
list every concept needed to understand it
create a concept map working backwards
study each component separately
rebuild the complex example step by step
the sensory anchoring technique this is seriously game-changing!! i associate different types of information with specific sensory experiences:
theoretical concepts - study while standing
factual information - sitting at my desk
problem-solving - walking slowly
memorization - gentle swaying
review - lying down
your body literally creates muscle memory associated with different types of learning!!
the metacognition mapping strategy i created this method where i track my understanding using what i call "clarity scores":
level 1: can recognize it
level 2: can explain it simply
level 3: can teach it
level 4: can apply it to new situations
level 5: can connect it to other topics
i keep a spreadsheet tracking my clarity levels for each topic + focus my study time on moving everything to level 5!!
the information architecture method instead of linear notes, i create what i call "knowledge buildings":
foundation: basic principles
first floor: key concepts
second floor: applications
top floor: advanced ideas
roof: real-world connections
each "floor" must be solid before moving up + i review from top to bottom weekly!!
the cognitive stamina training this is my absolute secret weapon!! i use a special interval system based on brain wave patterns:
32 minutes of focused study
8 minutes of active recall
16 minutes of teaching the material to my plushies
4 minutes of complete rest
the specific timing helps maintain peak mental performance + prevents study fatigue!!
the synthesis spiral evolution this method literally transformed how i retain information:
create main concept spirals
add branch spirals for subtopics
connect related concepts with colored lines
review by tracing the spiral paths
add new connections each study session
your notes evolve into a beautiful web of knowledge that grows with your understanding!!
these methods might seem different from typical study advice, but they're based on how our brains actually process + store information!! i developed these through lots of research + personal experimentation, and they've helped me maintain perfect grades while still having time for self-care, hobbies + fun!!
sending you the biggest hug + all my good study vibes!! remember that effective studying is about working with your brain, not against it <3
p.s. if you try any of these methods, please let me know how they work for you!! i love hearing about your study journeys!!
xoxo, mindy 🤍

Practical Energy Work 01 🐔 Bedrock
This post is part of a masterpost. Click here to go to the masterpost. Please read the disclaimer in the masterpost if you notice our beliefs may be different. Next: Practical Energy Work 02 anticipated, not published
When I say "energy work" I mean the manipulation of metaphysical energies through direct application of willpower.
I think in order for us to navigate this terrain together we should be on the same page about what these energies are and how it's possible to work with them in the first place.
"But how can I do energy work? How is it possible?"
You do not need to integrate or internalize the following beliefs. But for the purposes of this series, let's just agree that the following things are true - even if you don't 'really' believe them.
If we can agree on these things while we do energy work together, we'll be able to build our understanding of energy work on the same bedrock, perhaps making it possible for us to raise sturdy creations using very similar architecture.
I'm using the term 'ethereal energy', which I will explain below, because I'm a bit worn out by the vagueness of 'metaphysical'.
1. Ethereal energy is some beautiful stuff about the web of life, basically
'Metaphysical' energy exists on what you might call astral, ethereal, or subtle planes. I call it ethereal energy, or at least I do for this series.
There's lots of kinds of this energy, categorized by its qualities. Ethereal energy can be rapid or slow-moving, invigorating or calming, enlivening or draining.
This energy is infused within and around the world, and it's a vital and natural aspect of experiencing our reality. Ethereal energy isn't far away or locked behind a veil: it's around us all the time. It's part of life and existence itself in our world.
This energy is a major part of how living beings sense and perceive the world around us. This energy has its own qualities, but it also carries a great deal of information - just like a warm humid breeze in late May carries a great deal of information to people who understand weather patterns.
This energy influences what is around it. Living beings, spirits, the dead, and even gods are impacted by ethereal energy. This is true because most beings exist on the same plane as ethereal energies: we're all joined together by the ethereal web of life. Yes, we're a part of the same web of life as both the gods and the tiniest amoeba in the primordial sea! Isn't that beautiful?
Because we're all joined together by the ethereal, these energies can be manipulated to directly impact experienced reality for everything bound together by the ethereal web of life, or anything that needs to interact with that web.
2. People are inherently energy-sensing
Everything alive (and many things not alive in the biological sense) is inherently energy sensing.
You can learn to sense, interact with, read, and interpret energies because this is just something that people can normally do.
We sense energies all the time and we're used to interacting with them as part of our normal way of being.
Some people are naturally more energy-sensing and more reliant on the information they gather from their inborn energy-sensing. Other people are more closed off, gaining little information from the energy around them or rarely relying on it.
You can learn to get more in touch with your natural energy sensing and actively work with it as an inherent sense. You can do this casually as a way of getting to know your entire being, or you can do this more formally as a focused hobby and skill.
3. People are inherently able to manipulate and control energies.
You can gather up, modify, deposit, or dissipate metaphysical energies. People do this all the time as part of being alive, just like we move water from the sink to the toilet by virtue of being living beings.
We can control and move energies because we naturally exist within the ethereal web of life. Each of us has an ethereal extension of our physical bodies, commonly referred to as the 'energy body'. But it just means that our natural selves extend beyond the physical, and we can affect and manipulate ethereal energies just like we can manipulate the cup of coffee on the counter.
Once we expand personal focus and awareness into energy sensing, then discerning and manipulating energies is just like any other skill. This is just like a beginner cook slowly expanding their palate and truly tasting new flavors inside of old foods, just because of careful practice and focus on their experiences.
Or, this is like a sculptor being able to make finer and more delicate sculptures. They've had their hands the whole time, but they can begin to do things they've never done before because they've chosen to focus on expanding a specific skill.
4. Ethereal energy is like water, not like the atmosphere: there's not an even coating of it everywhere
Ethereal energy can be densely packed into an area, within an object, or around a living being.
Or it can be stretched thin and patchy, or completely absent altogether.
Energy workers and Witches can tell you that powerful wellsprings of ethereal energy are not always available. In fact you may have to go through significant effort to find energies that are suitable to your needs (meaning that their qualities closely match the qualities of energy you need to get your job done).
This is why major tasks of the beginner energy worker (and Witch) are to learn how to discover free-flowing wellsprings of ethereal power which they can draw on in order to create energetic walls, objects, artificial spirits, and any other desired design.
This also means that it's more than possible for you to fuck up the energy balance within a place or especially within yourself, leading to potentially a great deal of discomfort until the place is rebalanced (which may happen automatically over time).
And this is why, if the first major task of the energy worker or Witch is to learn how to raise up energy, the second major task is to learn to put it down, or in other words dissipate, rebalance, diffuse, or send away energies. If this is not done, you can end up fucking up the ethereal plane around you so that your own spaces become flooded with dense energies of strange qualities, impacting you (and everyone else, including the spirits) in unexpected and unwanted ways.
(Or inversely, you can end up stripping ethereal energies out of a space, making it feel 'dead' and uncomfortable or even actively difficult to exist in).
5. Energy sensing and manipulation is going to be a lot easier if you accept that it's regularnatural and it's been around you this entire time
Once we're used to the idea that we innately exist beyond the physical, beginning to identify the energies around us becomes relatively trivial when we remember that we're already very familiar with those energies!
Ethereal energies are not exotic, they are ordinary. I believe that it's more difficult to find these energies by looking for something new or strange. It's easier to find them by seeking out the commonplace qualities of daily living.
Whether or not you want to be an energy worker, energy is a part of your life and it has an impact on you, just as the weather outside and the temperature and humidity in your house has an impact on you.
This is because it's around us all of the time! It's just a part of our life.
When trying to learn energy sensing, remember that you are a fish in the ocean looking for water. You're not going to be running into exotic energies with bizarre qualities - not at the beginning.
What are the qualities of elemental fire? Remember the last time you sat before a bonfire or a hearth fire. Remember how it felt to be near that fire - the experiences the fire gave you that you would not have experienced if not but for that fire. Those are some of the qualities of elemental fire. That was your energy sensing self, tasting the fire the way the chef tastes a strawberry.
When looking for elemental fire to raise up, look for something that feels the same way as the bonfire did. It's that easy. Do you want to drain elemental fire out of a situation? Keep working until every last trace of the bonfire experience is drained away, until you can't find any subtle reminder of a bonfire in that place.

What is Dataflow? Part 3: Doing the Practical
Apologies for the delay in getting this next section up - past few weeks have been super busy and then, hilariously, I was ill last week.
Read Part 1 here.
Read Part 2 here.
In Part 2 I wrote about how important diagrams have been throughout history. Understanding the 'big picture' has been important for every triumph of engineering. From bridges to skyscrapers to oil rigs and wind turbines, all of these have had diagrams backed by international standards which enabled them to be built.
The digital world hasn't quite managed that yet. In the other posts I've tried to drill home the point that modern digital businesses are often extremely siloed, communication and documentation isn't there and there is a lack of a common language between 'Business' and 'IT'.
This lack of understanding means organisations do not understand how data flows through their business and their supply chain.
It's the understanding of dataflow that's important here because it enables organisations to focus on optimising, securing and maintaining flows across an organisation rather than siloed teams patching things up where they can and not understand the upstream and downstream impact on the business.
Method and Layers
Going to preface this by saying that this may come across as complete common sense, and to some extent you'll be completely correct!
This is an example of how to create a very basic dataflow. But I will first start with understanding all of the People, Processes and Technology that I use to post on Tumblr.
So I start with six layers:
Ownership
Business Process
Application
System
Hardware
Infrastructure
What is important to remember here is that you do not have to be a specialist in every single layer.
A Business Analyst will feel much more at home in the Business Process Layer, while an Infrastructure Manager will be much more knowledgeable about the Infrastructure layer.
The important thing is that this Business & IT Diagram allows them to communicate more efficiently.
Let's Build a Dataflow!
In this example - There's an 'AyeforScotland' Element (the rectangle!) at the top. I'm the owner of everything below that element. The black lines are 'connections' representing the connectivity between the different elements.
Following the example, I'm responsible for' managing my blog 'Blog Management' which breaks down into smaller processes: Draft posts, schedule posts, answer anon abuse, and reblog shitposts.
Coming down to the Application Layer (red) - You can see that I draft and schedule posts using Tumblr Desktop and I'm using Firefox Web Browser for that.
But for answering anon abuse and reblogging shitposts, I'm using the Tumblr App.
In the Systems layer you can see I'm using Windows 11 on my PC (Hardware) and I'm using iOS on my iPhone.
Both my PC and iPhone connect to my BT Router.
And that's it for this Business & IT Diagram. I've shown clearly how I'm responsible for the processes and how I use the technology to perform those processes. I don't necessarily need to show everything on a single diagram because it would lose clarity.
This next Business & IT Diagram is much smaller, and establishes the relationships and dependencies on Tumblr to provide the service. And that's because we're complying with the laws and rules of a methodology.
In this diagram (probably need to zoom in to see it) I'm at the top left as 'AyeforScotland' and my 'BT Router' is spatially below me. Following the rules and laws of the method, that maintains the relationship that I have with the BT Router, I own it.
But I don't own the small 'Internet' that's next to it horizontally. I've simplified the concept of the internet for this example.
There's also two owners - 'Automattic' which owns and operates 'Tumblr' below it, with Tumblr being responsible for the 'Provision of Tumblr Services'.
Now naturally 'provision of Tumblr services' will break out into loads of sub-processes. Tumblr could map out their entire organisation (and if they need a hand, they can DM me!) But for this dataflow it's not really required.
Now both diagrams above are not dataflows. But close your eyes for a second and you can visualise what they are.
But because we've created our two diagrams, we understand the connectivity and using the software we can create the dataflow.
Now again, this is very basic. But when you put things into a dataflow context, you can put this down in front of a wide range of people from different business disciplines and they can start to optimise how the business works.
Here's a much larger Dataflow example, that you won't be able to read because it exceeds A0 printing size, but it should convey the scale.
If any of the connections or elements fail along this dataflow - The dataflow stops.
This costs organisations time and/or money.
So understanding dataflows allows IT people to articulate to business people "Hi boss, if this server goes down it will bring down this dataflow and cost the business $10,000 an hour" - Suddenly it's in a language they understand.
It helps with strategic decision-making, it helps with communication, it helps document how things *actually* work as opposed to how people think they work, and once you switch to thinking in terms of 'dataflow' it's hard to stop.
Conclusion
I can't wait to answer all the questions on the back of this.
Also one area I didn't go into is that each of the elements (rectangles) can also hold data (Financial data, Technical Specs, Risk & Cybersecurity metrics, Governance documentation etc).
It's also really easy to get started with it. You can start in any of the layers based on your area of work.

ever wonder why spotify/discord/teams desktop apps kind of suck?
i don't do a lot of long form posts but. I realized that so many people aren't aware that a lot of the enshittification of using computers in the past decade or so has a lot to do with embedded webapps becoming so frequently used instead of creating native programs. and boy do i have some thoughts about this.
for those who are not blessed/cursed with computers knowledge Basically most (graphical) programs used to be native programs (ever since we started widely using a graphical interface instead of just a text-based terminal). these are apps that feel like when you open up the settings on your computer, and one of the factors that make windows and mac programs look different (bc they use a different design language!) this was the standard for a long long time - your emails were served to you in a special email application like thunderbird or outlook, your documents were processed in something like microsoft word (again. On your own computer!). same goes for calendars, calculators, spreadsheets, and a whole bunch more - crucially, your computer didn't depend on the internet to do basic things, but being connected to the web was very much an appreciated luxury!
that leads us to the eventual rise of webapps that we are all so painfully familiar with today - gmail dot com/outlook, google docs, google/microsoft calendar, and so on. as html/css/js technology grew beyond just displaying text images and such, it became clear that it could be a lot more convenient to just run programs on some server somewhere, and serve the front end on a web interface for anyone to use. this is really very convenient!!!! it Also means a huge concentration of power (notice how suddenly google is one company providing you the SERVICE) - you're renting instead of owning. which means google is your landlord - the services you use every day are first and foremost means of hitting the year over year profit quota. its a pretty sweet deal to have a free email account in exchange for ads! email accounts used to be paid (simply because the provider had to store your emails somewhere. which takes up storage space which is physical hard drives), but now the standard as of hotmail/yahoo/gmail is to just provide a free service and shove ads in as much as you need to.
webapps can do a lot of things, but they didn't immediately replace software like skype or code editors or music players - software that requires more heavy system interaction or snappy audio/visual responses. in 2013, the electron framework came out - a way of packaging up a bundle of html/css/js into a neat little crossplatform application that could be downloaded and run like any other native application. there were significant upsides to this - web developers could suddenly use their webapp skills to build desktop applications that ran on any computer as long as it could support chrome*! the first applications to be built on electron were the late code editor atom (rest in peace), but soon a whole lot of companies took note! some notable contemporary applications that use electron, or a similar webapp-embedded-in-a-little-chrome as a base are:
microsoft teams
notion
vscode
discord
spotify
anyone! who has paid even a little bit of attention to their computer - especially when using older/budget computers - know just how much having chrome open can slow down your computer (firefox as well to a lesser extent. because its just built better <3)
whenever you have one of these programs open on your computer, it's running in a one-tab chrome browser. there is a whole extra chrome open just to run your discord. if you have discord, spotify, and notion open all at once, along with chrome itself, that's four chromes. needless to say, this uses a LOT of resources to deliver applications that are often much less polished and less integrated with the rest of the operating system. it also means that if you have no internet connection, sometimes the apps straight up do not work, since much of them rely heavily on being connected to their servers, where the heavy lifting is done.
taking this idea to the very furthest is the concept of chromebooks - dinky little laptops that were created to only run a web browser and webapps - simply a vessel to access the google dot com mothership. they have gotten better at running offline android/linux applications, but often the $200 chromebooks that are bought in bulk have almost no processing power of their own - why would you even need it? you have everything you could possibly need in the warm embrace of google!
all in all the average person in the modern age, using computers in the mainstream way, owns very little of their means of computing.
i started this post as a rant about the electron/webapp framework because i think that it sucks and it displaces proper programs. and now ive swiveled into getting pissed off at software services which is in honestly the core issue. and i think things can be better!!!!!!!!!!! but to think about better computing culture one has to imagine living outside of capitalism.
i'm not the one to try to explain permacomputing specifically because there's already wonderful literature ^ but if anything here interested you, read this!!!!!!!!!! there is a beautiful world where computers live for decades and do less but do it well. and you just own it. come frolic with me Okay ? :]
*when i say chrome i technically mean chromium. but functionally it's same thing

So here's the thing, right? I keep looking through my own blog going "Hey! Where's the witchy content?" (the-- the 'where's the cream filling' commercials? anyone? no? I'm just old? okay.)
I've made a few posts over the past little while that boil down to "blogging about witchery gets hard once it gets more specific". At some point, my craft got so personalized to me, interacting with my own familiar spirit, building my own astral space and figuring out a whole paradigm there about bridges and astral space and liminal space and imagination... there's just so much that I can't really *share* and have it applicable to anyone else but me, you know? So in a slow-but-steady snowball effect, I've wound up going pretty radio silent over here at lazywitchling dot tumblr dot com. I'm still witching in a way, but it's been a lot more reading and information gathering lately. Less active work and more passive learning.
It's hard to talk about the information gathering process, especially when a lot of that has moved offline. It was easy to share all the things I was learning when I was first starting out, because all the things I was learning came from here. It was easy enough to hit the reblog button, share a post to my blog, and tag it so I could find it again later. As a consequence, other people were able to find content through my blog too. But now I'm spending more time reading books offline, taking notes in a physical notebook, sitting quietly in the dark with my eyes closed having conversations with a spirit consisting of vague impressions and images, waving a pendulum at a dusty old building corner and asking The Thing That's There if it wants to stay or leave.
So what do I do about this radio silence? SHOULD I do anything about it? The other thing is that I've seen so so so many witches over the years of this webbed site just disappear, then come back years later with a lot of fanfare and "I'M BACK, BABY!" and then they just... stop posting again after a month. So something about making the big "I've decided to post more!" announcement just doesn't work. You gotta have reason to start posting more, not just the desire to, yaknow?
What do I talk about, then? Vague updates about the astral space I'm building? Perhaps a few more stories of the conversations with J (my familiar)? More vague updates of me screeching at witch books? (I know y'all love that last one!)
Something. idk what, but something.
Anyway. Hi. I'm Jes. It's short for Jester. How's it going?

hypno audio files on how to deepthroat? would you mind sharing? 👀
I wish I could remember all of the ones that I used.
there are a few cocksucking audio files on The Spiral Machine,
people who like the more casual, conversational style will enjoy Ally Brinken's cocksucker file from that site; fans of more intense brainwashy stuff can find a few other options on there, including some audio files by me! some of the other big cocksucking centric files that I used to use are from creators I wouldn't necessarily recommend to others these days, like neural nets and pretty patterns.... some of the accusations that came out about him were very difficult for me to parse, but the community sure seems to treat him as a persona non grata these days and that doesn't seem to have been arbitrary but rather backed by numerous people having problems with him. but if you do want to look them up on soundgasm, I do have to say they are really well produced files.
I used a variety of cocksucking centric files during the time that I was most focused on it, I prefer the brainwashy style stuff that loops and really just fries your consciousness rather than the more narrative stuff, but your mileage may vary. it's not that anyone particular file is magic or anything like that, it all depends on what works for you. I combined listening to the files with fantasizing about sucking cock quite frequently and trained a bit on a dildo at home. I also engaged in some play with partners that really emphasized a fixation on sucking cock and getting face fucked, and that all together seem to unlock a relaxed gag reflex and ability to take it in the throat for hours at a time shockingly easily. I still kind of blank out every time I'm in that position. Man I love this stuff

I've been itching to dive into something totally new and outside of my usual web dev comfort zone! After brainstorming for a while, I finally landed on a brilliant new project idea: building my very own desktop widget~!
Now, full disclosure—I have zero idea where to even start when it comes to programming a widget, but that’s where the fun comes in, right? I’m all about learning new things (I have an addiction to studying so…)~!
In this post however, I’ll be sharing my initial ideas for the widget and brainstorming what tech stack might bring this amazing idea to life~!
Prior knowledge on desktop widgets?
All I know is that they stick to the desktop area and some even always in front of the other windows. That’s all I know!
Widget Idea
So, the project idea I’ve chosen is something simple, just so I can get used to making widgets: a notepad. But, it’s not just any plain notepad widget—it’s going to have an aesthetic color scheme! (I know, pretty cool, right?) I really wanted to keep things basic for this first project.
The inspiration actually came from a Pinterest pin that I saved. I think the design is originally from a color palette generator website, but I want to take that concept and turn it into an actual desktop widget. Thus this project was born!
Tech Stack
Alright, I lied—I'm not entirely stepping out of my comfort zone for this one! I'll be using ReactJS, a technology I’m super comfortable with and absolutely love. But to keep things fresh and challenging, I’m diving into something new as well!
After researching (thank you, ChatGPT, Google, and YouTube), I found out there are plenty of ways to build a desktop application, or in this case, a widget. You can go with WinForms, WPF, Tauri (Rust), Qt, and others. But I wanted to stick closer to JavaScript—specifically something I could pair with ReactJS. So, ElectronJS seemed like the best fit.
For this project, my tech stack will be:
ReactJS (JavaScript)
ElectronJS (JavaScript)
SCSS (for those extra styling powers)
HTML (obviously)
Visual Studio Code (with a lovely brown theme 🧸)
Toward the end of the project, I’ll also explore how to package the widget so people can download and install it on their own computers, and how to store the notes locally!
Finally
As I post this I am going to start the project so I will soon post updates! (This is where I fail…!)

Tumblr.js is back!
Hello Tumblr—your friendly neighborhood Tumblr web developers here. It’s been a while!
Remember the official JavaScript client library for the Tumblr API? tumblr.js? Well, we’ve picked it up, brushed it off, and released a new version of tumblr.js for you.
Having an official JavaScript client library for the Tumblr API means that you can interact with Tumblr in wild and wonderful ways. And we know as well as anybody how important it is to foster that kind of creativity.
Moving forward, this kind of creativity is something we’re committed to supporting. We’d love to hear about how you’re using it to build cool stuff here on Tumblr!
Some highlights:
NPF post creation is now supported via the createPost method.
The bundled TypeScript type declarations have been vastly improved and are generated from source.
Some deprecated dependencies with known vulnerabilities have been removed.
Intrigued? Have a look at the changelog or read on for more details.
Migrating
v4 includes breaking changes, so if you’re ready to upgrade to from a previous release, there are a few things to keep in mind:
The callback API has been deprecated and is expected to be removed in a future version. Please migrate to the promise API.
There is no need to use returnPromises (the method or the option). A promise will be returned when no callback is provided.
createPost is a new method for NPF posts.
Legacy post creation methods have been deprecated.
createLegacyPost is a new method with the same behavior as createPost in previous versions (rename createPost to createLegacyPost to maintain existing behavior).
The legacy post creation helpers like createPhotoPost have been removed. Use createLegacyPost(blogName, { type: 'photo' }).
See the changelog for detailed release notes.
What’s in store for the future?
We'll continue to maintain tumblr.js, but we’d like to hear from you. What do you want? How can we provide the tools for you to continue making cool stuff that makes Tumblr great?
Let us know right here or file an issue on GitHub.
Some questions for you:
We’d like to improve types to make API methods easier to use. What methods are most important to you?
Are there API methods that you miss?
Tumblr.js is a Node.js library, would you use it in the browser to build web applications?

Under The Radar 6
Dark! Steve Roger x Kiwi! Reader
Dividers by @Strangergraphics
Warnings:
This story contains themes of emotional manipulation, power imbalance, dubious consent, toxic relationships, and psychological control. It deals with difficult subjects such as forced dependency and mental/emotional abuse. Reader discretion is advised.
Description: Kiwi thought she had her life under control—until a chance invitation to the Maldives from her former friend pulls her into a web of manipulation and control. What starts as a luxurious vacation turns into a slow descent into captivity as Steve, the wealthy man funding her escape from reality, begins to tighten his grip on her life. Now trapped in a toxic relationship where affection becomes control, Kiwi must navigate a world where every decision is made for her, every boundary crossed, and escape seems impossible.
Is it too late to reclaim her freedom, or will she succumb to the life Steve has crafted for her?
Story Masterlist
The weight of it all felt crushing as I sat in my small, dimly lit apartment. The furniture I’d once been so proud of now mocked me a reminder of how quickly everything can fall apart. The life I’d fought so hard to build, the independence I’d clung to, was crumbling right in front of my eyes.
Sitting at my kitchen table, I stared at my laptop, scrolling through the same job listings I’d seen a thousand times. Every option felt like a dead end. My heart raced each time I filled out another application, hoping this one might be different. But deep down, I knew better.
No matter how many resumes I sent, how many interviews I nailed, Steve had his boot on my neck, and it felt like he was pressing down harder every day. This was a long, drawn-out game for him, and I was trapped on the board with no way off.
Out of sheer desperation, I grabbed my phone and started dialing a few of the connections I’d made back when I worked for Rogers and Co. Maybe one of them could offer some advice, a lead, anything to help me claw my way out of this nightmare. But each call was met with awkward hesitations and thinly veiled excuses.
“Sorry, Kiwi. I wish I could help, but…we’re not hiring right now.”
“We’ll keep your resume on file, but, you know…the market’s really tight.”
It was painfully clear: no one wanted anything to do with me. Not with Steve Rogers involved.
"Just say sorry," Natasha said. She’d called to check on me, and with everything piling up, I ended up venting it all. And this was her big advice.
“I didn’t do anything wrong,” I replied, feeling the frustration build.
“It doesn’t matter,” she sighed. “Steve feels wronged. So, unless you want to go back to barely scraping by or, worse, moving back in with your parents, you’re going to go to him and apologize."
The weight of everything was crushing me. My savings were dwindling fast, and rent was looming. With no steady income, my anxiety was through the roof. I needed answers. I needed him.
So, I called Steve. Blocked. His work number? Blocked. I even tried reaching out to human resources. No one picked up. It was like I didn’t exist anymore.
With no other options left, I did the only thing I could think of, I went to his house.
By the time I got there, I was a wreck. My mind was a mess of emotions—desperation, anger, shame. I had no idea what I was going to say or how this would go, but I needed to see him. I needed to fix this.
The guard, Curtis, stepped in front of me just as I reached the gated mansion. “I’m sorry, Kiwi, you can’t come in.” Sympathy softened his eyes.
Not that long ago, he’d greet me with a big smile and a cheerful "good morning." Amazing how quickly things could change.
“Please, Curtis, I just need to talk to him,” I pleaded, my voice shaky.
He shook his head, unmoved. “You know I can’t let you in. You’ll need to leave.” His voice soft and regretful
Panic was clawing at my chest. I knew Steve had to be home by now. As long as he didn’t have any impromptu meetings, he should be here. I just needed to stall a little longer.
I continued to beg, keeping Curtis distracted when I saw Steve’s sleek black SUV pulling up to the gate. My breath hitched as the window rolled down.
“Steve! Please!” I rushed to his car, desperation leaking from every word. But then I froze when I saw a girl in the passenger seat. Small, delicate, and almost terrified.
Steve rolled down his window, sunglasses on, face completely unreadable. "This is Lemon," he said smoothly, like introducing her was the most natural thing in the world. "She's my new PA."
The world tilted beneath me. My replacement. Lemon. She looked at me with wide, uncertain eyes, like she didn’t know whether to be worried or sorry.
I couldn’t speak. All I could do was stare at her, then back at Steve. She was everything I wasn’t-thin, polished, perfect. Her nails were immaculate, her hair shiny and neat. I glanced down at the soft pooch of my belly, the wideness of my hips. I could feel every flaw like it was magnified under a spotlight.
The car inched forward, and just as Curtis started to pull me back, I whispered, “Please... I’ll do anything.”
Steve’s car came to a sudden stop. He turned to me, then, after what felt like an eternity, he told Curtis to let me go.
It took me a second to process what he’d said. He was letting me in. I scrambled into the backseat, heart pounding, unsure of what to expect.
Steve was calm, collected, as he spoke to Lemon about tomorrow’s schedule. He told her which meetings to cancel, which to reschedule, even what kind of coffee he wanted in the morning. I listened in disbelief. He’d never done this with me. I always had to guess what he wanted, figure things out on my own. But with Lemon? Everything was smooth. Easy.
I couldn’t help the sinking feeling that washed over me. I felt like I was being crushed under the weight of my own inadequacy.
The car stopped at in front of Steve’s mansion as a servant came to collect the keys from him. Lemon stepped out, her heels clicking against the pavement, and Steve followed, giving her a few more instructions before dismissing her. I watched them, feeling completely out of place.
Steve knocked on the window, signaling for me to get out. I scrambled out of the car, still trying to make sense of everything as I followed him up the grand staircase. My breath was shaky, my legs heavy, and with each step, it felt like the walls were closing in around me.
By the time we reached his home office, I was suffocating under the realization that I had just walked right back into his world, willingly. And this time, I wasn’t sure how I was going to make it out.
Steve moved around the room, his back to me, busy with something I couldn’t focus on. My mind was spinning, trapped in the loop of my own panic and anger, trying to think of my next move. What the hell am I doing here?
It wasn’t until he stopped and stood directly in front of me that I snapped back into the moment. Without thinking, without giving myself time to reconsider, I slapped him…hard.
The sting on my palm wasn’t nearly enough to calm the storm inside me. Before he could even react, I hit him again, this time pounding my fists against his chest, pushing with everything I had. But he didn’t budge. It was like hitting a brick wall. He just stood there, solid, unaffected.
“How could you do this to me?” I screamed, tears burning my eyes. “How could you ruin me like this?”
My fists kept slamming into him. I couldn’t stop. “I worked so hard! I wasted so much time, so much effort on you!” My voice cracked, spilling out every bit of frustration that had been boiling beneath the surface for months.
Eventually, the fight drained out of me, my hands falling limp against his chest. But the words kept coming, tumbling out as tears streamed down my face. “You knew, Steve. You knew my situation. You knew I was struggling, and you still choose to play with my livelihood like it’s some kind of fucking game.”
I was sobbing now, choking on the unfairness of it all. “I did everything right,” I whispered “and I’m still fucked.”
I looked up at him, my vision blurry from the tears, and the truth spilled out before I could stop it. “You ruined my fucking life.”
Another wave of rage surged through me, and I raised my hand to slap him again. But this time, he caught me. His grip was firm as he grabbed my wrist and pulled me toward one of the chairs in his office, forcing me to sit down.
Steve didn’t react to my outburst. He didn’t even look angry. Instead, he stood in front of me, calm and collected, like I hadn’t just tried to claw at him.
“This is life,” he said, his voice maddeningly leveled. “No one’s going to cater to you for free.”
I screamed back, “I was your employee! You were supposed to treat me with some decency!”
He shook his head, as if I didn’t get it. “That’s not what I meant, and you know it.”
His hands slid into his pockets; his gaze fixed on me. It was then that I noticed the way he positioned himself, never quite lowering to my level, leaving me at eye-level with his crotch. My stomach churned with the realization.
"I'm attracted to you," Steve admitted, his voice calm and unsettling. "I've had a thing for you since university." He paused, letting the words sink in. "I convinced Sharon to invite you to the Maldives so I could see you again, to... reconnect." He smirked, as if the memory amused him. "And during the trip, I fell for you all over again. It’s always been you."
"Did Sharon know?" I asked.
"Of course she did. Sharon always knew. She was just keeping your spot warm until you were ready for it. But her ego eventually got in the way."
I stared at him, utterly dumbfounded. What kind of twisted logic was this?
"She tried her best to keep you from going on the trip, but I was always a step ahead."
"And when she got sick? Was that your plan too?"
"Just luck," he replied, a hint of satisfaction in his tone. "But it made it a hell of a lot easier to get close to you."
“I’m sorry,” I whispered, looking away, not sure what else to say. “I didn’t realize.”
Steve’s expression hardened, a flicker of something darker crossing his face. “Bullshit,” he spat. “You didn’t want to realize.”
I opened my mouth to argue but stopped myself. It didn’t matter. None of it mattered now. I was ruined, jobless, broke, and desperate.
“Please,” I began, my voice trembling, “if you won’t hire me back as your assistant, could you at least help me get hired at another department? Or, if you’re still interested in... dating me…maybe you could find me something elsewhere, another company maybe?”
Steve chuckled, the sound low and dark, making my skin crawl. He began to circle me slowly, touching my hair in the process. But when he spoke again, his voice was firm and cold. “Dating?” He laughed again, this time with more venom. “We’ll be doing a lot more than just dating.” He stopped in front of me, leaning down just slightly, and I could feel the weight of his presence pressing down on me.
“What do I get in return?” he begins in a low voice, then raises it, “Ungratefulness? Boundaries?!”
I froze.
Steve’s eyes locked onto mine, his voice dropping into a whisper that chilled me to the bone. “I want you. And I don’t mind giving you a comfortable life. A life where you’ll never have to worry about money again. But if you want that, you’ll live under my thumb. You’ll have to be mine, in every way.”
My breath caught in my throat. I knew what he was offering, it was everything I thought I wanted at the cost of my freedom, my dignity. “It’s up to you.” He straightens his body slightly widening his stance “What do you want me to do?” I whispered. Silently accepting the offer.
I swallowed, my pride sinking into my chest. I had always been so careful, so determined to keep Steve at a distance, to not let him pull me into this world entirely. But now…
The room felt too small, the air too thick. My hands trembled as I clenched them into fists on her lap.
Steve just smirked and his eyes trailed downwards, I followed his line of sight. A sizeable bulge formed, struggling against the zipper of his slacks. I wanted to cry again, Steve probably sensing this “It’s ok, you’ll be able to handle it, you were able to before”
His words take me aback. "What’s that supposed to mean?" I ask.
“You don’t remember all the fun we had that last week in the Maldives? Or when we got back to my mansion?”
I try to recall, but it’s all a blur. Every memory from that time feels hazy; all I remember is feeling constantly nauseous and exhausted.
“What did you do?” I asked
He grins, as if he’s holding on to a secret.
“Welp, it doesn’t matter now.” He moves to unzip his pants freeing his cock from its constraints, and there it was. Solid, looking angry and red with thick veins bulging all over. “We have other matters to attend to.”
I start shaking my head frantically, trying to pull away, but Steve grips my shoulder to hold me still.
"Ah, ah," he says, tone firm. "We're way past that. And remember, things can only get worse from here on out. Don’t just think about yourself, consider your parents and everything they worked so hard for. I can drag this out for as long as I want"
My attention broke once his cock twitched in my face.
This was thrilling for him. Whether it was the idea of me submitting or the prospect of a twisted game of cat and mouse, it hit me…I would never be free of Steve Rogers. I looked up at him, eyes pleading, silently begging him to let me keep my dignity. But he didn’t care.
"I'm waiting," he says in a mocking tone, lifting my chin with his finger before resting his hands on his hips, clearly patronizing me.
I look up to the ceiling a moment trying to hold my tears back, before being forced to face his cock again.
With shaky hands, I went to grab his shaft, it felt so hot, burning almost.
“Go ahead.” He coaxed.
I drew my head closer, sticking out my tongue, this was actually happening. Steve wasn’t going to stop me, and I will forever be known as the woman who whored herself out for a fucking job. God only knows what they’d say, if Steve decided to make this a habit. ‘Oh, look it’s the girl who trades pussy for benefits,’.
My tongue made contact with the head, it felt warm, and his musk quickly invaded my senses.
Fuck it.
I just needed to get to the other side of this, and the best way to do it was to dive in it. I did my best to pull him into my mouth, but he was so big, and girthy. When I heard his moans, I started a game plan, building a rhythm I could get used to, so I wouldn’t be too uncomfortable.
But as always, Steve had to fuck that up. He immediately grabbed the back of my head and began swiftly pushing his cock in and out of my mouth. At first, he was gentle, or as gentle as one could be in this situation. Then he was forcing more of himself deeper, and before I knew it, his pubic region was pushing right up against my nose, hairs and all.
I couldn’t take it; I could feel my body preparing to vomit as I began to wretch. I frantically slapped at Steve’s thighs, to make him stop, but he just went harder. My spit started foaming around the areas where my mouth met his cock, dripping down my chin and falling onto my chest.
Tears pouring through my eyes as I begged for this to be over. Steve eventually did meet his climax, forcefully pushing my head into his crotch as he came down my throat, shivering from his climax. making it extremely difficult to breathe. I tried to push against him, but he was so much stronger.
Just as it felt like I was about to faint, he let go. I coughed and gagged, doing my best to compose myself despite the circumstances.
“That was your punishment” he made a grab for my chin, forcing me to look up at him. “Next time I won’t be so nice.”
He paused, looking deeply into my eyes, as I struggled for air, a breathless chuckle escaping from his lips “You look so fucking beautiful right now” the smile on his face looking so genuine. Then he pulled me into a deep kiss, his tongue invading my mouth. After what feels like several minutes, he finally separates from me.
“Get up, let’s go.”
He stands straight, and begins fixing his clothes, tucking in his shirt and zipping up his pants.
I find a tissue box on his desk and reach for, before I could pull out a sheet, his hand slaps my own away.
“No, I want you to stay like that for the rest of the day”
I try to protest, but then there’s a knock on the door. I’m unable to gather my thoughts before Bucky walks in, he stops looking between the two of us before smirking and greeting Steve.
"Hey, Kiwi, long time no see." He strolls over to the couch near the entrance and sits down. "Heard you had a great time in the Maldives, too bad I couldn’t make it." He grins, throwing me a wink as he settles in.
Lemon comes in behind him, and I’m just about ready to start crying again, I expected a look of judgment from her, but she seemed more apologetic, and a bit off kilter. Her clothes ragged, and though still shiny, her hair wasn’t as neat as I saw it earlier that day. Steve sits on the chair next to mine. Lemon and Bucky on the couch off to the side.
They start talking business, as I do my best to shrink into myself trying not to burst into tears from embarrassment.
I peeked up at the trio once more and as Steve and Bucky were speaking Lemon was looking right at me. No judgment, and for once, oddly enough, I felt understood.
That couldn’t be a good thing.
After Steve's meeting with Bucky, he gave me a subtle gesture to follow him. My legs felt heavy, but I couldn’t resist. I glanced at Lemon, who looked shaken, her eyes wide with the same fear I felt inside. That’s when it hit me: both of us were trapped. Steve had me, and Bucky had her. We were just pieces in their game.
I followed Steve down the hall, the sound of my footsteps echoing off the polished floors, my mind flashing back to the last time I was in his bedroom, after the Maldives trip. The memories of that night started creeping in, tightening my chest. I swallowed the fear as Steve led me to the bedroom.
Without saying a word, he started undressing, peeling off his shirt, then unbuckling his pants. Every movement made the panic in my chest rise, and my body stiffened. I was bracing for... something. Something I wasn’t ready for.
But then, he stopped. His pants halfway down, he looked at me with a strange expression, irritation lacing his voice. "What are you doing? You know where the bathroom is. Go and get cleaned up."
His command stunned me. I hadn’t expected the reprieve, but I took it. I turned and made my way to the bathroom, feeling the tension in my shoulders ease slightly. When I entered, I noticed a silk nighty hanging from the shower curtain rod. It was dark red with black lace trim. My fingers instinctively reached out to touch it, the fabric smooth and delicate under my fingertips. Next to the sink was a packaged toothbrush and new toothpaste…the exact brand I used at home.
I stared at it for a moment, my mind swirling with questions. How did he know? How long had he been preparing for this?
I shook myself out of my daze and focused on getting clean. The warm water from the shower helped ease some of the tension, but my thoughts were everywhere, wondering what would happen next.
As I scrubbed myself clean I heard the bathroom door open I scrubbed myself clean, brushed my teeth, and finally slipped into the nighty. The material clung to my skin, unfamiliar and intimate. I still had my underwear from earlier, but I couldn’t help but feel exposed, and a little gross.
When I stepped out of the bathroom, the room was dark. Steve was already in bed, his back turned, but his presence filled the space. I hesitated in the doorway, unsure what to do next. The weight of the night felt suffocating.
Apparently, I stood there too long because his voice cut through the darkness, annoyed and sharp. "Turn off the bathroom light and come to bed."
I flicked the switch, plunging the room into complete darkness, and carefully made my way to the bed. Sliding onto the mattress, I tried to stay on my side, giving him space. But before I could settle in, Steve shifted. He moved closer, wrapping an arm around my waist and pulling me toward him.
I was his little spoon.
His chest pressed against my back, his warmth radiating through the thin fabric of the nighty. His breath was slow and steady against my neck, but my own breathing became shallow, panic clawing at my insides. I could feel the weight of his arm holding me in place, his grip firm but not aggressive.
Still, it felt like a cage.
I tried to calm myself, counting my breaths, telling myself that this was just sleep. But every inch he moved, every time his body shifted closer, I felt the walls closing in. Panic started to set in again, and I didn’t know how to stop it.
As Steve closed the space between us, his body pressed firmly against mine, something felt off, too much skin, too much warmth. A sudden realization hit me like ice water down my spine.
"You’re not wearing any underwear," I said quietly, my voice betraying the unease building in my chest.
I felt his hand travel down to my pelvis, fingers brushing against the fabric of my underwear. There was a pause, and in a low, disappointed tone, he muttered, "And you are."
The words sent a chill through me, sharper than the night air. His disappointment felt like a judgment, hanging between us in the dark. My mind raced, but my body remained frozen, trapped in the tension of the moment.
“Take it off” he demands
At first, my body tensed, ready to fight back, a surge of defiance pushing through me. But a quick glance at my surroundings. the darkness of the room, the heaviness of Steve’s presence, and the knowledge of how trapped I really was.
So, I relented.
I moved to slip off my underwear, trying to keep my breaths steady, hoping the tremor in my hands wasn’t too obvious. Steve shifted slightly, pulling away just enough to give me space to do what he wanted, his silence suffocating as I removed the last piece of fabric that gave me any kind of security.
When I was done, he wasted no time. His arm wrapped around me once more, tighter than before, pulling me in like I was something he owned. His hand settled back on my pelvis, the warmth of his skin against mine, and I felt his breath hot against my ear as he whispered, "That’s better."
The words crawled under my skin, leaving me cold despite the heat of his body pressed against mine. I swallowed hard, forcing myself to lie still, my mind racing even though my body was now as motionless as his grip allowed.
He started moving, his hands roaming over my body, rubbing, groping, pulling at my skin like I was clay in his hands. He couldn’t seem to stay still, his movements growing more aggressive with each passing second. His fingers kneaded my hips, his palms pinched the soft flesh of my thighs, and his body ground into mine, the weight of him pressing me deeper into the mattress.
I could feel his breath quicken, hear the faint growl rumbling in his chest as he kissed down my ear to my neck, his lips hot and greedy against my skin. Every kiss, every touch, sent a wave of nausea rolling through me, but I was too overwhelmed to push him off.
The scent of him, clean, sharp, and suffocating was all I could breathe in, clouding my senses, making it hard to think straight. My body felt heavy, pinned beneath him as his weight shifted, trapping me further against the bed.
His growling became louder, more animalistic, as his lips moved lower, his hands grasping me tighter. I closed my eyes, willing myself to detach, to float above the moment even as his presence consumed every inch of me.
With a careful thrust he pushed his cock between the crease of my thighs, pushing against my pussy.
A sigh released from his chest as he stills. The space naturally damp due to my just getting out of the shower, alongside my plumper physique.
A few moments pass before he starts moving again, causing friction against my lower lips, occasionally rubbing up against my clit. As his movements become more frantic, he grabs of my breasts, and begins pinching and pulling at my nipples.
My own excitement begins to flourish as his movements speed up, and before I know it he stills as his warm liquid spills between my legs.
He takes some time to gather himself, and when I think he’s done, a hand is pulled off one of my breasts, traveling down to my pubis, and pressing his fingers against my clit. Carefully, he begins rolling my button between his fingers, whispering in my ear. “You feel so good” I feel him shift, pulling back slightly before I realize what’s happening. He pushes inside me, and a sharp squeal escapes my lips. Steve growls, his grip tightening around me, holding me firmly in place with no room for escape. Every thrust is deliberate, his body pressing harder into mine as his fingers find their way to my most sensitive spot.
The sensations hit me all at once, my body betraying me as the overwhelming pressure builds. I can’t hold back, and before I know it, I’m trembling, the wave of pleasure crashing over me as I reach my climax.
I rarely experience this feeling, so I keep still, trying to pull myself back from the edge of euphoria. My body was betraying me, and I could hear the wet, unmistakable sound of his movements filling the room. Steve suddenly stops, letting out a breath before chuckling softly.
He hugs me tightly, his body pressing firmly against mine as if nothing had just happened.
"Goodnight," he says, his voice low and satisfied, as though everything was perfectly normal.
I lay there, frozen, the weight of him pinning me in place, unsure if I’d ever truly wake from this.
I close my eyes, trying to make sense of everything, but my thoughts tangle like a knot I can't untie. The weight of the situation pressed down on me, suffocating, yet exhaustion finally won. As the darkness pulled me under, I could only hope that when I woke up, this would all turn out to be a nightmare, one that I was desperate to escape from, waiting for it to end.

How would u represent the dogheads as warrior cats?
This is a hard one!
Now. I try to stray (bark) away from the canon of both pathologic and warrior cats as little as possible, within reason. It gets hard when pathologic's whole thing is mindfuck magic shenanigans and architecture, something that cats ... can actually do in warrior cats, they cat build to some extent and are smart. But making masks and theatre performances is something that cats usually don't do...
I have considered eeeveything to make it fit. I have considered things like the warrior cats pathologic happening like 2 km away from the actual real pathologic with the humans, I have considered the powers that be actually still being human children but they're just playing with their warriors ocs instead. Don't worry the first one is scrapped but the second... Mmmm... Anyways. It would make sense for say, Executors to have weird looking above average sized raven skulls and for Oyun to wear an actual bull skull since he's a big cat and being able to carry bones of an animal that weighs up to a ton all the time would be a testament to his strength. Tragedians though? Hm. Apparently in the lore of p1 Mark actually dug the masks up from the ground with them being relics of some sort of kin tradition, like the Executors being the birds of death. So that backs up the bull and the ravens, but what about the vaguely human mime mask? To be fair TO ME the game doesn't explain their lore either, so I can just say it stays a myyystery... But if you care, maybe the tragedian masks were something that the old cat kin made out of like, a big bone then cut holes in it. They still have the abattoir, and no, cats killing bulls isn't silly, cats canonically have GOD and they can ride trains and go to the mall (which happens in Tigerheart's and Riverstar's books, I may know my cat lore...) and also do surgery with fucking rocks
I have explained them having the polyhedron and cathedral and weapons applicable in gameplay (within reason). But dog heads are something that cats absolutely cannot make. A flower cloak, sure. A bone mask, whatever. They don't have plushies though. They can't stitch... They don't have cloth production. And I like to keep my pathologicisms recognisable. I put the outfit patterns on cat fur so you can take a look at it and definitively say, hey, that's mister Danny Dankovsky D. Diddles Dickhead right there. So making the dogheads completely unrecognisable would be very unfortunate. So after that pretty long ramble I am going to inform you that I am taking the easiest possible cop out! The heads are plushies that they have because they do. Because they have the plushies and there is not an issue. They tie it to themselves with grass for stability and there's stuffing spilling out which is very patholgicly. Here's a quick doodle on cat finch, that's the ginger kid who eats knives.
Or maybe I can use the elaborate web of cop outs that IPL have constructed for themselves. See, co-author, it makes sense because god is children and children are stupid. Actually no, this makes sense because this is a videogame! No this isn't a videogame, this is a theatre performance! Goodnight!!!

I know tonguestar doesn't mean it but he is making bonesight's paranoia so much worse omg 😭
Like If I was someone who lived underground their entire life and didn't know about the surface/sun, etc.
And my leader, who I already have suspicions about (because of reasons i am unaware/cant be treated for) decided to randomly take me to it one day, in a place seemingly no one else knows about, is a long walk and he starts saying shit like
"You can see forever, there is a vast open sky that changes by the moment"
"You'll have to receive your nine lives from starclan up here"
"There's no need to be afraid"
"This is the sun, it makes light. It also go away and a dark version of it comes out, don't worry that's normal :)"
"You know that big structure we are walking on? You know how some spiders build big webs? It's probably like that or something"
"Don't look directly at the sun, it will hurt"
And then when you say "I'm scared"
He responds with "Don't be, it's going to be okay :)" while a blinding light that you cant see past is directly behind him
I would assume im about to be murdered or about to meet some eldritch god
(Sorry if this ended up being super long)
to tonguestar, bonesight is just nervous about being away from her kits. he’s a slightly more old fashioned man, his heart is in the right place but he would be from the generation brought up to consider childrearing to be a woman-only job if he were a human (line this line of thinking isn’t applicable in canon)
which is to say. he’s not very observant about her feelings. but he likes her as a friend, deputy and as a daughter in law, and he wants to prepare her for when he dies or steps down and leaves her as a leader.
but to bonesight… he’s the most powerful cat in the clan, separating her from her family and taking her to a secret tunnel all the way up to a whole new world essentially.
so yeah. you got it in one. even his attempts at reassuring her are seen as threats to her. and she’s right to be nervous, honestly.
