Hey guys,

We all know I am a massive fan of Huda Beauty eyeshadows, especially the 9 pan palettes. They are always really pigmented palettes with gorgeous colour stories. Looking at my collection I always lean towards the bright or pinky toned palettes but I wanted to add something more darker to my collection. Today we are chatting about the Huda Wild Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette - Jaguar .

I have seen this palette so many times walking through Boots or Selfridges but at the time I didn't really wear these colours. However recently I have been enjoying a more smokey vibe and compared to my collection this palette is the most unique. This palette has the perfect balance of soft glam shades all the way to deep smokey eyes. The Jaguar palette features the most beautiful monochromatic purples, a sparkly grey, a speckled bronze & a holy grail black, all the shades you need for a glam look. Like other Huda Beauty palettes you get a mix of mattes, metallics and a new multi-reflective shade.

I adore this palette and honestly slightly mad at myself it took me this long to pick up. When it comes to luxury palettes I would say Huda Beauty palettes are the best value for money since you get 9 shades for £27.00 instead of 4 for £43.00. She has a whole range of colours so I'm pretty confident everyone can find a palette that suits them. Since I'm quiet fair this palette would look quite intense on me but now we've hit the autumnal season I am loving the smokey vibe.

The Finishes

Huda’s How To:

Before getting wild, create the perfect canvas for your lids with Huda Beauty’s Black & White Matte Basics’ Melted shadows to deepen or brighten your final eye look. Then start off by building your base with one of the buttery matte shadows.

Pick up the high-pigmented metallic shades using a dense flat brush and press onto the lid for a soft metallic finish. If you’re after a fuller coverage foil effect, add a layer of a metallic shade by firmly pressing the pigment on with your fingers or sponge applicator.

Sweep the 3D shadows over the lids with a flat brush for an all over multi-chromatic look, or with your finger for a more intense shine. Want to go full-on ferocious? Use a damp brush which will leave an extreme, fiery foiled effect.

Huda’s Hacks:

When it comes to applying the deeper shades, as Huda always says, ‘blend is your friend’. Using a brush is super important to get a sultry smooth finish in the crease and across the lid.

Not all deep shades have to be bold and graphic. Blend out the deep mattes with a fluffy brush to give definition and shape to the eyes without dominating the entire makeup look.

If you’re after a tame, daytime look, build a light base using the buttery matte shades before adding the metallic shadows on top using a flat brush, a sponge applicator or your finger depending on the intensity you’re looking for.

Want a bright-eyed look? Use the metallic shades to rim the lower lash line or add to your inner corners. The result is a soft highlight which will create the illusion of big eyes ready to go on the prowl.

okay awesome!!! so basically what i’ll do is go through every category of makeup and recommend a product. because you said you have some money to put towards your products, i’ll recommend for the most part drugstore products with a few highend ones thrown in :)))))

primer: l’oreal magic perfecting base

foundation: honestly, unless you feel like you need it, i would recommend not starting with foundation. usually the concealer/powder combo will do

concealer: any liquid concealer from the drugstore is good (maybelline makes a nice one)

powder: rcma no color powder (ultimate powder for dry skin)

contour: kat von d shade powder in the shade of your choice (a lil high end, i think it’s under 20 tho for the single pan)

blush: nyx blush in the shade of your choice

highlight: wet n’ wild makes DAMN good highlights at the drugstore price for hella cheap

brows: nyx micro brow pencil

eye primer: nyx jumbo eyeshadow pencil in milk

eye shadow: i would grab one of the huda beauty obsessions eye palettes from sephora (a lil expensive but personally i find drugstore eyeshadow to not really be up to par)

Hey guys,

I think when you have a massive makeup collection like myself you sometimes get so excited about new products that other products you love get left on the shelf a little. So today I wanted to do a makeup look using some favourite products of mine that I think deserve a little more hype. Minus the eyeshadow palette most of the products in this collection are from different Revolution collections. So let's get started!!

Anytime I'm doing my makeup I always start with eyes because I am very heavy handed and tend to cause fall out myself and can't even blame a eyeshadow palette. Today we are starting with the Huda Beauty Wild Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette in Chameleon £27.00. This palette is from the Wild Obsessions palette and has the most beautiful colour story. This kinda palette is my favourite because it has the perfect selection of warm tones with pops of colour. When this first came out I used it daily but since then there has been some new Huda Beauty palettes released and I got a little too excited.

Next up we have highlighter. Now I have spoken about this highlighter a lot and most recently I have been playing around with the Kylie Jenner highlighters so I wanted to pick out this old favourite. The Goddess Of Love highlighter by Makeup Revolution , £5.00. This beautiful golden champagne shade is a baked formula that is by far the most pigmented drugstore highlighter I have ever used hands down. I always recommend this to friends and family when they want that high shine finish.

For lips I couldn't decide between two products so since they are quiet different I've added both. Starting with the Roxi x Makeup Revolution Liquid Lipstick in Tokyo (part of a £10 trio set). This lipstick is a beautiful dark pink toned liquid lip and I am obsessed with the colour because it dries down and almost turns into a dark pink nude shade. it's perfect if you want a statement lip that isn't too intense. Lastly we have the Makeup Revolution x Bratz Maxi Plump Lip Gloss in the shade Cloe £8.00. This lip gloss is the only plumping lipgloss I can wear that doesn't irritate or hurt my lips (like the Too face lip injection plump). I love the shade Cloe because it is the perfect light nude pink shade and it is perfect to just throw on with any makeup look. Perfect for a subtle lip colour that doesn't take away from the rest of your makeup.

2017 was a big year for beauty brands and products! From Huda Beauty to Fenty Beauty all made the cut for most searched beauty products. Surprisingly Kylie Jenner LipKits and Kim Kardashian Contour kits did not make the list!

Everyone I know owns this or want this Modern Renaissance Eyeshadow Palette! Ulta prices is very affordable. Ulta Beauty is very much searched because they also carry more of the drug store brand items. If you cannot find something at your local Walgreens or CVS, then Ulta most likely carry it.

Ulta also carry some of the drug store extended brands. I know with companies like Maybelline, they have more eyeshadows that are at Ulta and some drug stores don’t carry every Maybelline products.

Ulta Beauty is my go to website where I order some of my beauty products. Ulta Beauty being the most googled beauty is well deserved!

Happy Monday beauties! Today I finally have a Weekly Update… It’s more of a monthly update this time. In today’s post, I have a ton of pics of what I did in November and a few MOTD’s to show ya’ll.  I tested a lot of new products, my husband and I celebrated our 2nd Wedding Anniversary, there was a birthday, bands, visits with family and tons of good food. Also a full month on the Keto diet.

The Makeup and Misadventures

October 31st, 2017

Starting back on October 31st.Halloween was spent running errands. My husband had a doctor’s appt that day. So I did this Orange smoky eye and winged liner using the KVD Saints & Sinner Palette paired with a plummy lip to a least look a little festive. I’m not sure why this wasn’t in my last Weekly Edit, probably because I was late posting this look on Instagram.

We went to a get together that evening so I amped the look up with some glitter from WetNWild and a glimmer shade from the Kat Von D Saints & Sinners palette like I did in my Shadow Sun Tutorial which will be linked below. We had already done our Halloween partying so I was keeping it simple.

November 4th, 2017

The weekend of November 4th we spent with my husband’s family down south. Makeup and everything else was kept hella simple. We hung out with his mom, dad, and nephews most of the Friday and early Saturday. I love going down to see them.

This is the view from the back porch, how could you not love looking out at that.

We also brought Pumpkin who got to go off leash and have her best day ever running around with Buddy the Lab. He loves him some Pumpkin.

I also got treated to a latte!

Saturday evening was more of an adventure. We stayed over at Ross’s sister’s house and ventured out to a dive bar in the middle of NOWHERE called the Topsy V.   Ross and I were hella iffy on this excursion but his sister promised it was cool, so we drove the 25 mins of back road to get to this hole in the wall of a bar and surprisingly it was pretty legit. The town it is in literally only has this bar and a gas station… Anyway, I learned how to play darts and found a new skill there.  I hate playing pool but this was the first dart game I had tried and really enjoyed it. The highlight of the night was Ross’s sister getting a drink and there were about 50 gnats floating in it. LOL!  We made it home around midnight and crashed.

November 7th, 2017

This was Ross and Mine’s 2nd Wedding Aniversary night. I wanted to go full glam so I did this look using the Kat Von D Saints & Sinners Palette and the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette paired with BH Cosmetics Metallic Liquid Lipstick in Amber.

This has to be one of the best liquid lippies I have tried in a while.

For our anniversary date night, we went to Outback. We have a thing about going to Outback for our special date nights. It’s our thing. We shared this amazing dessert that was a s’mores ice cream cookie thing. Fuck me up, BITCH! it was so good.

Afterward, we hit the bar and stayed until about 3am hanging out with friends. It was a damn good night.

November 16th? 2017

And at this point, my dates get foggy AF, this was around the 16th. On this day I was doing a wear test with the Fenty Foundation, more on that is coming. I am working on a whole post. This was another day of errands.  In this look, I used the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance paired with Tarte Tarteist Quick Dry Liquid Lipstick in Obsessed. I have a full review of those linked below.  I think all I did on this day was get groceries and nothing much else so I did another wear tests over the next couple of days.

November 17th, 2017

Another day of wear tests with the Fenty foundation and the Tarte Lights Camera Lashes Liquid Eye Liner. The review will be linked below. The products got tested super well on this day.

I also feel in love the Wet N Wild Renegade Mascara.

We had lunch at one of our favorite spots called Wildwood Pizza. They have the best keto friendly salads of life. I had a roasted chicken salad.

After that, I spent the rest of the early afternoon walking around the mall which is just something I enjoy doing out of nostalgia. I also hit up Sephora and Ulta, of course, This was a pretty warm day and I did a lot after we got back home from working on blog posts to some housework. I wore the products a good 10 + hours.

November 18th, 2017

This was Saturday before last, we had a friend staying over so we hit up the bar to see a band that was playing. I was in the mood some a really dark look. In this one, I used the Kat Von D Saints and Sinners Palette and the Tarte Tarteist Amazonian Clay Pro Eyeshadow Palette paired with Nyx Liquid Suede in Brooklyn Thorn.

This ended up being a pretty strange night when an old friend showed up but it was a good night, the bands were great. I didn’t get in until almost 4 am I think, then got up around 11am and went to Buffalo Wild Wings for lunch during the Saints game.

November 22nd, 2017

This was the day before Thanksgiving and my BFF’s birthday. This is the look from my …Of Dreams and Drama Tutorial (Linked Below) like I said in the post I did this look with her in mind.

This night was a blast. We had sushi (my cheat meal) then went bowling until they ran us out.

For Thanksgiving, the next day Ross and I ended up at Golden Corral in damn near our PJ’s because NOTHING was open. We were just wanting something quick because I was cooking that evening. Ended up having a second cheat meal and feeling the shame of just eating at Golden Corral where you literally feel like cattle. The only walk of shame I have experienced is that walk to the car from there.

November 24th, 2017

My little Sephora VIB  haul came in! I finally picked up the Subculture palette, a review is a coming and I picked up the new glow kit, and a Sephora Faves lippy set.

November 25, 2017

I used the Subculture. Here’s what she looks like after one use.

Just fine! There is more to come on this and the looks I have done with it. Below is just a quick pic I snapped on Instagram stories before I left the house.

Saturday was a fun night. A few friends and I went to see Mojo Killjoy at The Melting Pot and hung out at the bar for a bit.

I don’t know for sure which day I made this for breakfast but it’s another one of my go-to keto meals. Scrambled eggs, cheese, and spinach on a wheat tortilla. Maybe 5 carbs in this meal.

Speaking of keto, I have been doing it for a full month. Intermittent fasting and around 20 – 25 carbs a day. Some days are more, just depends but so far I am down 14 pounds. Ross is in his first week right now. So far so good and so easy. Keto flu only lasted 3 days, but I struggle staying hydrated and have caused myself some issues there. TMI. Water water water!
