Monandre rambling blahblahblah..

Monandre is so stupid....... For months they're like "no we're just really close friends stop assuming we're dating wtf.." and people (Mostly the Gang) will side-eye them — because ok. Then why do you kiss. why does monny steal Andre's coat any chance it gets — but they won't say anything. Like, let the idiots figure it out.

When they eventually get to the point where they're like ok. Maybe, MAYBE, there's more. They try dating, but Andre really wants to keep it a secret — he likes his reputation how it is, and he's worried dating would make people see him differently in a way, like less of a "wildcard" or crazy spontaneous whatever ykykyk — Monny is like "yeah sure :)" because. It's never had any relationships, it's not even a human, so she just assumes it's normal.

They're more of a secret, and at that point Andre stops acting all touchy n whatever in public because shhhhhh secret.. Monny gets upset with that, and feels like Andre's embarrassed to be around it, but it doesn't really say anything because it's scared to lose Andre… ough…

At some point they probably go to Gigi and beg her to keep it between them.. Myc knows and has known, he just thinks it's funnier to act oblivious and watch monandre be stupid.

..And eventually they're happy YAAAAY !! I love them being happy but I also like them being sad sometimes. They're kinda Once More to See You by Mitski a little bit in the 'secret relationship' part.. umm.. they're also very cute and in love

like there's nothing wrong with "successful" people having more children, but. they are not genetically superior. i know some people believe that billionaires or famous actors have "special good genes" and maybe they have. maybe they have a gene combo for a 0.01% more efficient Cori cycle. or their c-myc gene is more stable and has a 5% lower chances of becoming cancerous. or whatever else.

or maybe they even have a genetic combo that makes them 0.5% more likely to be cooperative and friendly! who knows! but that

genetically, is a result of a complicated system of hundreds of genes

mathematically, those hundreds of genes are very unlikely to go to their child in one chunk

and also, they, as every other human being, carry other genes, broken ones, inefficient ones, lethal ones. and their children will inherit those as well. and those variants might behave very differentely in combination with other parent's genes.

so, no, nothing wrong with "successful" people having 6 kids, but if you think it's gonna enrich the population with "good" genes, no it won't.

I just came accross your replies to my book Irene rant. Yes as we both agree book Irene was great. As an individual character. I don't see ship there and in BBC? There's no ship but cruelty. Irene is cruel and BBC Sherlock was visibly uncomfortable with her thoughts and messages. And Sherlock being human, in TBB did people notice how he comforted Sarah? He's always human. Irene Adler in BBC just used it. Worst depiction of empowering woman. As a woman it's a disgrace.

Yeah, Sherlock most definitely was not enjoying himself in ASiB, and I'm always boggled when people think it was "hot". I dunno, it's not my jam, honestly.

I think in her own way, BBC Irene was a good character, but they just... kind of "fetishized" her, for a lack of a better word (it's not what I mean, but it's more like Mofftiss have this weird "hurting Sherlock" kink and it's just kind of off??). All the women in the show inevitably get washed away somehow, or written out of character to how they were initially written (and this is only including "main" recurring characters):

Molly => Reduced back to S1E1 Molly, simpering over Sherlock after they established her to be a character who grew out of her crush on Sherlock

Donovan => In trying to make her a "strong character" they instead reduced her to stereotypes and then inevitably she just... was never seen again.

Anthea => Just disappeared, no mention of her character, if she was even still Myc's assistant

Sarah => Literally disappeared from the show, never to see her again

Mrs Hudson => WTF was her characterization in S4?? The car thing was so bloody weird, like out of nowhere

Irene => Reduced to a sex joke

Mary => Was going to be a badass villain and instead had the shittiest "redemption arc" that all the characters essentially idolized her for some godawful reason

Hopkins => I put her on here because she was LITERALLY HEAVILY PROMOTED as a new main character in S4 before it aired... and then she was only a one-note side joke with three lines of dialogue in one episode. Never showed up again after T6T.

Euros => Don't.... even get me started on her. Was some weird X-Man supervillain, who's entire arc was... needing a hug from Sherlock.

And I was also gonna add Baby Watson here too, but she's more an issue of "introducing a baby into a show and have it disappear when it's inconvenient" kind of trope.

Bleh, and I know this is ALL nitpicking and all my opinion, so it's fine if y'all disagree. I love this show a lot, and it's frustrating that it has HUGE gaping flaws in it, LOL. Anyway.

I think all the characters on the show ARE great characters, they just suffer from Moffat's inevitable decline in writing the longer something goes on when he's in charge, LOL.

A Familiar Human Child!!

Oh! Rainy Day Pony, what is this giant bundle of hair you've come back with! We didn't order this color!

Ohh, oh my! It's not hair, it's a human child with that on it!! And she looks to be in a rather sorry condition!

The poor thing's all smudged up, and her beautiful white dress has some nasty brown stains! Not to worry, this is hardly a challenge to myc linic!!

First, we give her a simple bath! This takes care of much of her major stains! How fortunate for her! For her legs are made of rubber, and if they were stained they would never come clean!

Next, we season her hair with conditioner like the hotdog and ketchup! Loran is hear to detangle! A pony brush should work fine on a human, right...?

Ah yeas, an easy job! And look how pretty her hair waves once it's clean! Surely it will be even better when it dries!

Next is this gorgeous dress of hers! It provides a bit of a challenge...

...Because it and its ilk were resistant to both detergent and an oxy soak! Which leaves only one option...

how do we even carry this

Yes, bleach was our only option! One must Never use bleach for a toy, it's too strong and may damage plastic! But fabric should be fine, if only as a last resort. And we only use a little bit...

And it works wonderfully! Only a moment's soak and the stain is gone! Next we rinse it SO THOROUGHLY. RINSE IT

And now all that's left is to let it dry!

And if you're worried we're just having a naked little girl sit about our hospital worry no longer! She's fine

And one day of drying later....

I said all the other cognito staff would be sea creatures but im walking that back now. andre is a human he's just like the local chemist/tinkering weirdo. rand is a human and tamiko is a sea witch who he fell in love with (and subsequently out of love with). they had reagan who is a hybrid who mostly lives underwater cause she's a hater. brett is a normal ass human guy but the only human reagan consistently likes and talks to. ron was a human sent to find proof of magic/seafolk in the town and reagan fell in love with him but then they had to curse him to forget about the town and reagan so everything wouldnt fall apart yup. im crafting narratives in my mind palace

i'm not a big mermaid person but massenet and glenn are just tooo good for mermay like tooooooo good

in my minds eye glenn is a normal human fisherman/boat owner with no real drive/purpose after a bad divorce and he keeps seeing a mermaid who keeps eluding him and he's convinced he's hallucinating at first but also cannot help but to become obsessed w/ the idea of... capturing him? killing him? trapping him??? to the point that other seafolk are becoming worried that they'll get caught in the crossfires..... but massenet, who has been purposely circling glenn's boat and his dock and upping the ante thinks it is sooo fun and cannot help but stir the pot

eventually the seafolk decide to curse glenn to turn into a 'hideous' dolphin beast (not sure if it would be like werecurse or a full on Forever curse) in an attempt to get massenet to stop but massenet is like. Oh you made him a hot monster and now he has no self esteem to talk to any women or leave the house and he's convinced i had something to do with it (and technically i did) so now he'll be obsessed with me forever and i can just keep playing toys with him? Splendid! and theyre like OH BROTHER

Yes, Atlas is a Cosmic entity, I kinda touched upon it in this post where I talk about their familial relationship with JR a little bit, but to answer your question the gang knows or well discovers that Atlas is an alien later on. There are definitely a small handful that knows from the get go such as;

Rand and JR since obviously they're the founders of Cognito and would have originally taken care of and raised Atlas after the duo received them from the government. Still fleshing out some of the timeline/bigger details there, but you get the gist. I imagine both of them had some part to play in helping Atlas craft a human disguise and suggested that it would be safer for them to appear human even around Cognito employees, especially since I imagine Aliens are still one of those conspiracies that need to be kept under tight lock and key since Aliens seem to be one of those big controversial conspiracy theories that typically lead to a lot of really weird introspection for people and then we start questioning our own existence.

Myc, since he can read minds and I feel like it would be extremely hard to hide ones secret identity from an intrusive walking mushroom. Though Myc doesn't care enough to reveal their secret or just uses it as potential blackmail, or heck maybe he just enjoys having another nonhuman to hang out with when the humans are gone and doesn't want to blow their cover.

And finally Reagan, this girl not only is super intelligent but grew up around Cognito most of her life so there's no way in hell she wouldn't already know that Atlas isn't human. I imagine she was probably filled in about Atlas's identity the farther she progressed up the company ladder at Cognito, and even if she wasn't knowing Reagan she probably pieced it together herself.

As much as I love the rest of the gang they are pretty dense, and even though Atlas has some quirks that are very odd and still struggles with normal socially acceptable human interactions many of the gang chalk it up to them having been raised by JR and don't think much of it. Plus to be honest a good portion of the gang don't really like Atlas in the beginning cause they just see them as JR's Nepo Brat and don't quite understand what they're doing at Cognito or how they secured a job in the first place.

I like to imagine in the case of Atlas in the actual series there would be hints that somethings a little off with them after they're first introduced that the viewers and maybe the rest of the gang would slowly pick up on, leading them to question if Atlas might not be 100% human. The "series/season" would progress and we'd watch as Atlas kind of secures a spot in the gang, and slowly starts building better relationships with the rest of the cast and forming a budding relationship with Andre. Eventually it would be revealed to the viewers that Atlas is indeed an alien, but the rest of the gang is still kept in the darker.

Eventually there would be a catastrophic disaster that threats Cognito Inc and The Gang, which seems pretty common place for the season finales for this series, Where Atlas would essentially have to jump in and protect the gang putting their secret in jeopardy and finally revealing to the gang that they're not human. Though regardless of this new revelation the rest of the gang obviously accept Atlas regardless of the fact they're not actually human. Myc is on the team so duh they would be fine with Atlas, maybe a little confused on why they were kept in the dark for so long but come to understand it due to the nature of their jobs.

At this point in the "seasons" to follow Atlas's appearance would change a little bit and they'd probably be more comfortable to incorporate their tail and horns into their human disguise when they're solely around Cognito Inc. Also I imagine in the "seasons" following is where more episodes/storylines would be devoted to Atlas and Andre actually becoming an official couple.

Sorry if this ended up being really rambley, but I just have so many ideas/thoughts for Atlas's Inside Job Verse self!
