i just want to know WHY the dw writers pushed the river/doctor + amy/doctor parallels so hard knowing what the endgame was gonna be. like positioning amy as the woman the doctor trusts in comparison to river who he doesn't, and explictly drawing a parallel between rivers first meeting with the doctor (she was seduced by the doctor bcos he dropped out of the sky and knew everything about her, impressionable young girl etc etc) and amy's which is the exact same story. 11 dies and the one who it affects the most is amy. the one who comforts her first is the doctor. why did they do this.
