“I don’t think it’s so bad.” Isagi said setting his tray down next to yours and taking a seat. You were all seniors and your friend group, Isagi, Chigiri, Nagi, Reo and Bachira. Isagi being your best friend since you were younger but everyone else you met when Isagi introduced you to them. Currently you were complaining to Isagi about having to do a partner assignment with Rin Itoshi.

He was one of the smartest people in your class but the thing about it was that he was a TOTAL dick to everyone and his older brother was no better. By the time lunch ended you didn’t have anymore classes for the day so you were walking out to the parking lot and past it towards the bus stop when a tight grip on your arm grabbed your attention. “Hey Y/n. Turning your phone off you get off of the bus quickly and start making your way up the stairs and to your apartment. When opening the front door you noticed your father sitting on his couch with a can of beer in his hand and he was half asleep with the tv up all the way.

You closed the door quietly and tiptoed your way through the large apartment towards your room. Locking the door you took a deep breath and walked over to your full body mirror, slowly you hooked your fingers under your sweater and lifted it over your head. You smile internally Rin was just like Sae, yet you still was pissed at his fabricate lie. But as you were about to scold him Sae already doing the job for you.

Once Rin finally muttered an apology for his rude behavior, you gladly accepted and told him you were more than knowledgeable in the world of football.

As the conversation continued, Sae was called by his parents, that briefly stopped the chattering between the three people.

you see him carrying him luggage and phone as he smiles finnaly entering the plane to spain.

Its been a couple of years, you kept the promise you made to sae to be the guardian of rin for all the years when sae was in spain. You still kept contact with sae by vc or just texting.

Itoshi family treated you as their own, and rin finally stop being rude to you as more time passed. You and rin occasionally hang out at the beach to get his mind of things with sae.

It was truly amazing first half, the blue lockers having a one point advantage against the the U20, as bought a soda from the soda boy cooling down before looking at the field, there's rin looking at you.

the final score was 3-4 first goal was sae, then seishiro, then rin, next two goals were the pink demon the zesty one called shidou, finnaly was barou and the last goal was isagi. Screams of joy filled the stadium both with the winning players and the audience.

"Stop it you guys, y'all are fighting like animals!" if they ignore this you might as well enjoy the drama, eat some popcorn and and sit down.

Rin came to his senses first and stop, apologizing to you. Sae glared at him, and was about to throw another punch. As you were about to get some popcorn to eat sae stop mid-punch.

Rin looked up from his notebook to check on your progress only to see you passed out leaning against his bed. He was tempted…very tempted to wake you up and kick you out of his and his brothers house but you looked like you were having a hard night.

Getting up from his desk chair he bent down gently picking you up and placing you on his bed. “Mmm..” you winced rubbing the sore spot on your neck and turning to make yourself more comfortable on his bed. Rin couldn’t help but stare at your neck, the bruising got worse over the past couple of hours and he knew that you and your father weren’t just arguing.

His hand hovered over your face as his finger moved your chin to the side so that he could get a better look. He pulled his phone out of his pocket and took a picture of your neck then took one of your busted lip. You fidgeted from the coldness of the AC and he backed away before you could wake up and question why he hovering over you.

Standing on the podium you glanced down at your note cards while Rin pulled up the slide show on the big screen. “Okay Itoshi Rin and Y/n L/n. You may begin.” You gave your teacher a gentle smile then watched Rin greet everyone in class then begin your presentation.

The two of you switched between speaking and explain what each slide meant and explaining the research the two of you did. “Thank you, does anyone have any questions?” You asked and saw your teacher raise her hand, “do you have any examples?” Before you could answer Rin he told her that you did. You looked at him in confusion as he asked you to go to the neck slide.

When you pressed the button there were multiple images of your neck and lips. The bruises from the night your father choked you and slapped you, the bruises were evident and it was something that couldn’t be hidden. Obviously no one could tell it was you but you knew, it’s your body… You looked over at Rin and he was speaking to your classmates about the images, so while you were at his house in a vulnerable state he took a picture of your bruises and used them for your presentation.

He finished and the whole class started clapping for you two, before anyone could say anything to you, you grabbed your things and left the classroom. You started walking down the hall and you could hear Rin call out for you. “Y/n! Wait.” He caught up to you because of his freakishly long legs and his hand gripped your arm to force you to look at him.

“What’s wro-” before he could say anything else you slapped him. Snatching your arm from his grip you wiped the tears the fell from your eye. “YOU HAD NO RIGHT! You think I wouldn’t notice my own fucking body Rin?” He stood there looking down at the ground while holding the side of his cheek. “I didn’t mean anything wrong by it.” He said trying to justify his fucked up actions.

“You didn’t mean anything? So taking pictures of my bruises and using them didn’t seem wrong to you?” “It wasn’t supposed to be like that Y/n. I took pictures as evidence because you were upset and had bruises all over you. Are you getting abused?” Biting you lip more tears fell from your eyes.

“It’s none of your business Rin.” “None of my business? It is my business when your calling me to come and pick you up with tears in your eyes and bruises all over your body.” His eyebrows furrowed as he looked up at you, your eyes were glossy and your cheeks were flushed. “Fuck you. “Hey Y/n? What’s going on?” Chigiri walked over with Bachira and Nagi, “nothing.” You said and walked away leaving all four of them in the hallway. You walked out the school not knowing where to go, you definitely weren’t going home and you weren’t going to sleep on the streets.

Isagi excused himself from class and went to go speak with his homeroom teacher. “I wanted to talk about my friend Y/n. She hasn’t been feeling well and a couple of us wanted to surprise her but we don’t know where she lives.” Isagi lied straight through his teeth as he started scratching the back of his head hoping that she’d believe him.

“That was such a blatantly horrible lie but I’ve been worried about her so I’ll give you the address to her and her fathers apartment. Make sure she’s okay.” She started writing the address on a sticky note then handed it to him. “What do mean make sure she’s okay?” Isagi asked in confusion as he stuck the sticky note in his pocket. “Her mother died before she started high school.” She sighed then excused herself to go to her class.

Rin jumped up from his bed and ran down the stairs almost tripping and falling flat on his face. He even made Sae look over at him like he was crazy or something, him only being here because Rin is graduating in three days. Rin slipped on his shoes and ran out his front door and was faced with a sweaty you clutching your stomach while weakly smiling at him. “You shouldn’t be out of bed let alone the hospital.” He reprimanded you while walking over and letting you lean on him.

He brought you inside and up to his room letting you sit on his bed while he awkwardly sat in his desk chair. The door to his room opened and Sae had brought you a cup of water, you thanked him and he nodded before looking over at his brother. “Dude, you look so fucking awkward.” He said walking out the room and shutting door behind himself. “Rin, thank you for the flowers.” You said taking a sip from the cup and setting it down on his bedside table, he hummed out a response and carefully watched every single move your body made. “I promise you I’m not going to break Rin. Can you sit here.” You pat the spot next to you before continuing, “I have something I want to tell you.” He perked up hearing that and sat down in the spot you requested.

“I’m not mad for what you did. I’m actually grateful…you pushed me to text my estranged aunt and then on top of that you saved me.” Finally talking about everything the tears started flowing way too easily, maybe it was because of the medication or the pain. Who cared. “I was so scared Rin. I froze, I couldn’t move….and I even thought that it would be better for me to die, but then you showed up and pushed me to move forward. I’m here to thank you properly.” You stood up and slowly bent down as a proper thank you.

“Stop stop, you shouldn’t do that..” he said leaning foreword to force you to sit down, you brought your hands up to where his hands were holding you. Your fingers intertwined with his as the both of you stared at both of your hands. “Thank you Itoshi Rin. Even though you didn’t have too you helped me.” He hummed again as a response and refused to look up at you. “Rin.” He hummed, “can you look at me.” He slowly lifted his face to look at you and you smiled at him with glassy eyes.

You leaned in and connected both of your lips, he froze in shock but quickly relaxed into the kiss. He gently held you while furthering the feeling of your lips on his, the two of you were interrupted by a knock on the door. “Rin, is she staying for dinner? Let me know so I can order her something.” Rin groaned in annoyance and you giggled at his reaction, “I’m staying.” You said wrapping your arms around his neck and pulling him in for a hug. “You ready sweets?” Lia asked pinning the last piece of your hair back before placing your cap on your head and pinning that down as well. “Yes.” She smiles at the reflection in the mirror, she smoothened out the gown glancing at the skin tight ankle dress you were wearing under it. Wearing black strap heels with it to match Lia came back into mirror view with a necklace in hand.

“This was Mira’s, she wanted me to give it to you when the time was right.” You started tearing up but made sure to not let the tears fall because Lia just did your makeup and you did not want to ruin it. She put the necklace on you and then let you know it was time to head over to the school. She drove you not wanting to let you walk since the hotel was a good ways away from the school.

When you arrived she held you out and left to go find her seat while you stood there with your phone in hand standing there awkwardly. “There she is!” Isagi yelled running over and engulfing you in a hug, he was careful to make sure to not squeeze you too tight. The one rib that was broken was still healing and your breathing was still a little strained but over all everything was good. The stab wounds were healing up nicely thanks to Rin continuously massaging them and peppering kisses on them. The cut one your eye was completely healed and your busted lip was hidden under aquaphor and lipstick.

As everyone was speaking among each other you noticed Rin standing by the school gates watching and waiting from afar away from everyone. Bachira seemed to notice what you were looking at and took it as a sign to loudly call him over. Rin was a flushed mess, he was hiding the side of his face with his hand while walking over and taking his spot behind you. He hid his face in your shoulder and let out an exhaustive sigh, you laughed and turned to face him.

“Hi handsome.” He looked at you with those beautiful teal eyes and let his intrusive thoughts take over, he leaned down capturing your lips in his. “So cute!” Bachira said snapping a picture of the two of you kissing. The two of you pulled away and as he looked away in embarrassment you smiled leaning your chin on his chest. “You look beautiful.” He spoke as his thumb rested Idly over the small gash on your lip, you blushed feeling his touch even though he wasn’t doing it on purpose.

“Come on, let’s go take our seats.” Isagi said and you grabbed Rin’s hand leading his into the school and towards the auditorium. The ceremony was quite quick and as you went up on stage to get your diploma Lia, Isagi, Bachira, Reo, Nagi, Rin and most of the soccer team cheered loudly for you. Maybe it was because they sympathized with you and because you were dating Rin and friends with the best players on the team. But he only thing you were focused on was Rin’s proud smile as he stood up clapping alongside your friends.
