Remember my post about my indoor plant and how it had lots of super tiny bugs and shit? SURPRISE! Those little fuckers are in my other indoor plants too - except for ONE.

That one plant is "the lucky one" who I had not dirt enough to change it's dirt / mold. All others? Yeah, I changed their dirt, using this one company's product. Same dirt from the same bag to all of them... And now there's bugs. I have not have this kind of issue before, not with bugs!

I usually water too much or too little.

I'm honestly pissed and worried. I don't want to lose any of them (plants, bugs can go to hell). So, for the start I will give them all mäntysuopa rinse, wipe them clean and later, when I can go to big city (mom's car's broken currently and I've no car), I will buy some bug spray for indoor plants for certain - just in case.

I have never use any bug sprays in my life, never, since I don't want to kill but now I'm so fucking pissed that I'm willing to go that far just to save my plants. I also left customer feedback to the store / producer about their dirt and these bugs.

One of my superiors is doing me a massive favor plant sitting. My sprouts are getting bigger and I am so proud. But they still need love.

Anyway he asked me when my plants bedtime was and for some reason that made me really happy.

Recently a few begonias I grew from seed started to bloom. It was the first time I've ever grown begonias successfully past the seedling stage and I've never EVER had a houseplant in my care flower before much less something as fussy as begonias

So I was already absolutely ecstatic and overly emotional about that, feeling so proud of my little garden and so impressed and overjoyed with how hard my little guys are working and how happy they are

Today I was watering and I noticed my Oxalis is also flowering, which I've never seen before and honestly never expected to happen with indoor conditions

Now I'm legitimately sobbing in gratitude and joy

It might not make sense to have that reaction to some flowers... but honestly this past year has been the absolute worst time in my entire life and I had to make a decision recently that broke my heart and made me feel like my life and even my soul was crumbling into pieces and falling through my fingers as I tried to salvage what I could from what was left

So the fact that these blooms sprang forth at this specific time and the place that they're occupying on my shrine to Dionysus...

I'm sure it's just coincidence or factors I'm unaware of could easily explain it

But I'm choosing to believe that the flowers are a gift. A reassurance that I'm doing what I need to do in order to thrive again. A reminder that I am resilient and can grow into something beautiful one day. And a small message from somewhere in the ether saying "I see you, you are loved"

Top is Pieris Japonica (if I am correct) who is blooming happily. I love its little bells.

Had a rare blissful day enjoying the blazing colours of Autumn in my home town and actually allowing myself a bit of retail therapy which I never do. Screw consumerism and all that but I tell you, it is soooo nice to treat yourself, especially after a prolonged sh*tty time with lots of angst and no money. 

Also I now have an addiction to plants and beautiful plant pots, I think I’m actually unnerving shop assistants but whatever, it’s innocent enough :D

My Monstera 🪴

I was scared when she lost 2 leaves the second I planted her in a pot 😭

2 years later and she finally has her first fenastrated leaf!! (I’m convinced I spelt ‘fenastrated’ wrong 😅)

When I first seen the new leaf unfurling I first thought maybe my cat or one of my dogs bit the plant 😭 but when I seen that it was an actual fenastrated leaf, I squeeled like a piggy 🫠

Repotted three of my plants today!!

They’re all snake plants, two pups (actually the name of them, where the parent plant clones itself and basically makes a side branch baby clone) and the original plant I got as a gift from a good friend of mine about a year and a half ago. The replanted pups are numbers 2 and 4, (pup 1 I gave to one of my favorite teachers as a graduation present, pup 3 just didn’t need to be repotted). The parent plant had completely outgrown its original pot, which was already pretty big for a desk plant, and needed a bigger one, which, for the first time in a long while, I didn’t have one big enough for. But that was one quick trip to a hardware store and fixed. Pup 2, also having outgrown its slightly smaller pot, has been moved to the original pot for more space, and Pup 4 got Pup 2’s old pot. Just like hermit crabs!

Left to right are Parent plant, Pup 4, Pup 2, and Pup 3. All are doing very well!
