Solar opposites season 4 ‼️SPOILERS‼️

*typing on August 14th, 11pm*

Okay so…I was only right about a few things XD

Their specific dispute that we saw last season (little mountain lake) WAS actually talked about/ mentioned? But mostly through the red goobler (Chris) explaining it to Jesse when she had her own goobler. I actually liked that him and korvo actually met again so it could be explained that for korvos goobler to disappear he has to get over that specific issue he has (like Jesse did).

Pupa hasn’t called them dads yet, but he acts more of a toddler (and they acknowledge that what their family needs to do is important for the pupa and I like that structure they had) which is AMAZING, because holy shit they act like a family so many times this season 😫💝💕💕 (and call each other a family and it’s amazing 🥺💕💕)

ONE OUNCE OF ROMACE?!?!!?! ERmMMMM more like 10 cups of it 0//////0 we were FED a BOUNTIFUL this season and the village is thriving.

Yumyalack does do his own thing and gets a bit of characterization but nothing else really. The birth a day episode was like a little glimpse of it, however it was very nice :3 and I like the way they’re taking his character.

More screen time DEFINITELY, and FINALLY A MOMENT OF FUCKING PEACE AND TRANQUILITY IN THE WALL THANK FUCKING CHRIST IT WAS A RELIEF. The silvercops also got alot of attention here as well! And it was pretty good; the world that was created by symbolically establishing anti-cop messages (which I LOVE) was amazingly done and I appreciate that they didn’t shy away from showing the ugly side of things (ie. discrimination, violence, gentrification, etc).

The ending of the silvercops plot kinda confused me though like wtf? Uhhhhh what’s happening….?

Not gonna lie the way korvo acts this season makes me wanna punch him, like why is he a dick?? Sure his character in early seasons was grumpy but he never really went out of his way to be an ass, just controlling or salty, but no! The whole goobler thing with him and Jesse and him roasting yumyalack went way too far (in my opinion) and it also just made me uncomfortable like dude, that’s ur kids SHUT THE FUCK UPPP rahhhhhh.

Terry and korvos relationship definitely improves though.

The ending of the season…..*deep breath* I’m mixed about it, like I know it’ll be solved in the upcoming valentines special but a little part of me is worried that it’s just gonna be a “hahah we got you, they’re actually gonna be humans and get discriminated against again” and that makes me scream.

I’m mixed about it because I’m curious about how this’ll work yet I fucking hate how they couldn’t just talk it out at home (like they usually do)

I just *hhHHYGYGYGYgy* I..I’m scared, but also excited.

Overall, I did really like this season, a lot of the parts made me happy stim and about make my heart skip beats. I’m so ecstatic for what’s next 🥺💕💕

anyways those saiyans eat so god damn much that indigestion and acid reflux have a higher vhance of killing them than fighting. No savoring or nuthing, they always eat like its gonna be their last meal lawl.....

I do think yamcha like. Occasionally cooks for them tho. Like as a treat. Like he won't do it often, but I think of him as the type of guy who cooks as a hobby IDK

I want to see them eat bones... Chichi is standing at the oven making bone broth one day and Goki is hovering like "when is food time chichi?" and shes like "settle DOWN Goku-sa I'm only just now making the soup stock" and she turns around for a minute and when she returns the bones in the pot are just .. gone?

Future Trunks literlaly has acid reflux. A passionate truth of this blog.

They can eat anything & their bodies put so much WORK and Desperation into digesting that I do believe that it could kill them you're right .. if they only eat bones for example then they wont last long becasue the effort it takes to digest them is more than the returns the meal yields. Imagine eating so much that you die from exhaustion. The Saiyan digestion track is a precarious thing, like a clunky haphazard engine perhaps, always go go going.!! Like a hummingbird's cardiac system perhaps.

The only innate source of insecurity that you'll find in the tough and confident Saiyan is food insecurity .. all of their energy comes from food and they burn an awful lot doing what they love .. they have to eat so much all of the time. So much so that their bodies will digest anything. And sometimes that's scary and their stomachs get sad.

Vegeta didnt really care about Trunks to start but I can see that maybe what made him start to care was, for a reason that he could not make sense of, he began to grow so insecure on Trunks's behalf that he wasnt eating enough. There is literally all of the world's food and like 30 gourmet chefs at his disposal, but vegega was still hovering and telling Bulma "make sure hes eating enough..!" and Bulma would snap and go "Stop backseat parenting me, I know what I'm doing. And all the kid does is eat! He barely sleeps with how much he eats!" and Vegeta would be like "OK. But if he runs out of food for even 20 minutes then make sure he eats still. Feed him the furniture because it's better than nothing."

It's literally never enough.

I got another ask saying that the reason that Vegeta is so short is becasue he didnt eat enough in his formative years. I domt remmeber if I answered it or not but I didnt really agree with it but now I'm seeing the merit. I like the abysmal and acute insecurity that that would leave Vegeta with now that would lay dormant until there was a kid in his life for him to lay all his worries on. Very piquant stuff.

Bulma is like "I knew Son-kun when he was young I KNOW how Saiyans eat" but then she sees Vegeta eating bones with her son as a post-dessert appetizer and shes like ... k maybe there is an oddness here that I wasnt anticipating.

It gets to a point where Bulma feels like Vegeta is getting Trunks to eat TOO much. Trunks will be having fun doing an activity and dinner isnt until hours later amd Vegeta will enter the room and ask "you hungry?" and Ttunks ofc says "yes" so then they go get food and Bulma eventually is like "could you stop distracting him with food every time hes doing something else? He needs to develop his brain not just his stomach! Stop telling him he's hungry when hes fine!" and Vegeta is like "Saiyan children are always hungry. Always"

Like honestly the only time Bulma ever sees any real Emotion and Vulnerability on Vegetas face is the panic-stricken look he shoots her when she says that dinner isnt until 45 minutes.

Honestly like WHAT IF Vegeta didnt have enough to eat in his growth spurt years.. he and his men were having to hunt for themselves AND continuously grow stronger AND Vegeta specifically had to get stronger the most. Maybe Raditz got tall just becasue he wasnt as strong, more energy was allocated to height. But Vegeta had to beat Frieza one day. He had to make sure he was the strongest.

Amyway. If Bulma ever got this story out of him (the loose string that unties the knot being his devout over-empathy and anxiety regarding how much Trunks has to eat, and the way that it's causing him to Not Trust Bulma and shes damn sick of it) then she would say "ohmygod is THAT why you're so short?" and Vegeta would be so surprised that he would stop crying. Just cos he never really thought of it like that. But yeah that is why. And his body knows that it didnt eat enough to reach its full potential and it's forever sad about that.

Oh and not to mention what this would do to Trunks .. hes a healthy kid but Vegeta feels like hes living paycheck-to-paycheck with food so he tells him that hes too thin and needs to eat more. And that's gonna affect Trunks's body image and his relationship with food in a weird way. And hes gonna be all fucked up for it. All he does is eat. He both hates it and needs it as a habit.

Additionally hes gonna learn that if he wants to get out of doing something he can use "I'm hungry" as an excuse and Vegeta will defer to it every time. So now hes just learning about instant gratification and procrastination. Son of a bitch.

Sorry for rambling. I love an insecure Vegeta. I love eating bones. I believe this

OH YEAH and the Yamgeta thing. Lol. I said in the middle of an exceedingly long and rambly post recently that Vegeta does like to eat at Yamuchas cabin just becasue it's Real. Theres never enough but it's an honest meal like the campfire meals that Vegeta grew up with. And Vegeta will use Yamuchas woodstove and end up burning something but it's fun for him to get to cook again too.

umbrella - i assume this doesnt need an answer for both of them, bcuz they belong 2 the same story. i imagine ian and rammys story being a vidya game, and i guess itd b a psychological horror? which feels like, pretentious to say but the main scaries of the story are how much ians life sucks and he wants 2 die. so... i think itd count. thats all overarching stuff tho... most of ian n rammys time spent together is lightheared, i think. theyre two dudes hanging out and one of them is slowly coming to terms with the fact his suicidal thoughts won. whatever genre that is

pencil - WAHHH it depends a lot of the time... ian and rammy have definitely made a big resurgence in my brain recently (past month) bc im 18 and can post bout em, but also just cuz i love them sooo much and want to chew on them constantly. id say i write abt/draw them pretty frequently tho!! i doodle them on my school work and in notebooks a lot and they have some of the bigger galleries on my toyhouse lawl. i dont write much directly for their universe, but ive typed... many paragraphs to my friends just braindumping the shit i think about them. so, yeah, less often than id like, but theyre up there in my priorities of ocs :3

apple (for ian) - GRAHHHHHHHHHHH u dont know what demons uve unleashed w this. i already twed this post for suicide but im gonna move this part under the cut bc mentioning ians dad specifically ties a lot into the suicide aspect of the story

OKAY SO. ians family consists of his mom, sister, and him. his dad was in the picture when he was a little kid, like early elementary age, but ditched after some time. his relationship with both parents was relatively normal, they definitely couldve done a better job raising him, but they were never intentionally hurtful nor did they scar him at all. (well, correction, his MOM didnt scar him at all)

after ians dad left, though, his side of the family still kept in touch... they gave very flimsy reasonings for his fathers absence, why he couldnt make it to holidays, why he wasnt saying all these things directly, etc. it kept things strained and tense as the family knew things were being kept from them but never got to know why. the last interaction ian ever had w his dads side of the family was on his 18th birthday, where his uncle gifted him a silver handgun with his name carved into the handle. it was a hollow attempt to connect with ian, a display of violent masculinity that ian would later use to try and take his own life.

i dont have it fully figured out what this *means* for ians character, but its something i go insane about. ians only memories of his dad are him doing stereotypical masculine dad things w him, like fishing. maybe he didnt interact w ian ass if he was his child, but if he was his son, and that improper socialization is part of the reason he hates himself- why the gun is what kills him. but... i dunno really. ians social anxiety, addiction, and general collapsing in on himself are cuz of a life time of mental illness that went unchecked until he successfully isolated himself to the point no one *could* care, not just cuz daddy give him gun.

okay! that is NOT what u asked at all but now u know it. hehehe. of course ian and rammys story is a big wip forever so excuse me for any side tangents and/or general plot points w loose ends

but! as for his actual relationships w family (ill include sister since his relationship w mom isnt rlly fleshed out yet):

he and his mom havent spoken in 6 years, nor have he and his sister. he slowly faded out of their lives when he moved away, partly out of a subconscious desire to isolate and partly due to just not having the social confidence or energy to maintain regular communication w his family. his mom is the first person he talks to when he escapes his Puter, and she's his rock in his remaining months of recovery. shes very underdeveloped as a character atm, but what is certain is she tries her hardest to understand her sons struggles and support him, offering to pay for therapy for him. ian loves his mommy lalala

ian and his sister are... dddifferent. ian also had an average relationship w his sister, but shes a lot more upfront with him when it comes to talking about how his 6 year absence effected her than their mom. their mom, while wanting her children to seek help for their respective struggles, doesnt really want to actively talk about those things with them. shes terrified of saying the wrong thing, and it doesnt help that she doesnt even have a clue what *to* say. ians sister, though, isnt afraid to tell him "hey man we fucking missed you. your absence hurt a lot because i didnt have any friends either, and i wish we couldve had eachother. jackass" post main-story they are friendly and hang out. during his time w rammy, ian does talk about his thoughts on his sister before he left, that being that shes a "crazy bitch"... family <3

ARCHERY LESSONS

now this is complicated…. Because neither Apollo twins (Dave + Rose) know how the fuck to use a bow. Its more of,, them calling for their dad like “pls don’t let us fuck it up” and Apollo just kinda “okay be cool”

Like, Dave got more of the music aspect of Apollo, along with some healing and yk,, flocks (haha I’m so funny) and Rose got light, arts, and also a bit of healing as a treat. So idk why they’re expected to run the archery practice but they are!!! Because they’re kinda either the oldest Apollo kids, or simply the only ones,,

(Context on “the only ones” is just trials of Apollo, i imagine he’d be less uhh careless with the number of kids he has after THAT experience lol)

(Haven’t decided if canon should be canon bc,, that’d just make this a crossover but also TRIALS!!!!! anyways)

Chiron makes an effort to lead as many as he can, but he can’t exactly control when he’s needed elsewhere lol

the twins just kinda make sure to give offerings every night like “don’t let us fuck this up PLEASE” it’s great

Equius is a big enthusiast of these lessons, even if he isn’t very,, good? He tries but (like in canon) he just can’t get the right amount of pressure to put on it?

June is also surprisingly okay with a bow and arrow!! She’s just cool like that B)

Jade tried once and never again. Her hands were shaky and she almost shot someone’s eye out?? Didn’t matter too much to her tho, she’s much batter at hand-to-hand and sword fighting.

DND CLUB

now I kinda already said who has in the club, but I never rlly talked about it much!!! So here’s that

Review: dnd club is basically the flarp group, except restricted to dnd bc they larped too hard and Mr.D and the Apollo kids were tired of all the injuries lol!! Its Tav, aradia, vriska, and terezi, tho I might add more nerds in the future even though they’re not,, yk,, the flarpers

Anyways Vriska DMs and is so insufferable about it but they’re too into the story now to really give up?? Plus fighting so much can be fun sometimes

Theres also the honorary members, who r just spectators that come by to watch their friends play!! That would be June and Sollux lawl (might add more)

CAPTURE THE FLAG

ohhhh boy do these games get heated. Listen, okay, when you restrict a group of kids from hurting eachother while role playing, what makes you think they won’t take advantage of a game that is literally just that…

Vriska is the CTF equivalent to those try hard gym kids (being a daughter of Nike). She is just so extremely into the game it’s insane!!!

Hephaestus kids also kinda also go hard, yk finding an excuse to test out the stuff they make!! Dirk more than anything, and also to kinda test out his strengths n shit cuz he’s lame

Dave and Rose sit on the sidelines because,, healing and also they have an excuse to sit out so they WILL be sitting out

Gamzee is usually put to watch and guard the flag idk it just makes sense? He doesn’t mind tho, he just sits around and fends it off when he can.

Karkat and Feferi seem like the type that would sort of scout the area? Like, while someone guards the flag difectly, they stop any surprise attacks from a bit father. Feferi tends to stick next to the lake, and Karkat is just placed wherever (he is, after all, luck).

While I do think Terezi and Vriska would make such a good leader combo for CTF, I have a small little feeling that Mr.D already has them clocked and just does not let them team up because that is too many injuries!!!! It only reduces them by a bit tho, being on opposite sides simply making them a taaad bit more competitive

HORSEBACK RIDING

The amount of accidents is actually insane,,, though it’s more of bruising than anything that would need Apollo kid action.

I don’t even have to tell you the people who would have an absolute blast.

Nepeta and Equius hang out near the stables the most, but that doesn’t mean the pegasi are any less loved :3 Gosh, they are definitely pampered.

Dave probably falls off the most often — not because he’s not skilled, but because he forgets he has to actually hold on (It makes sense to me, trust).

June really really enjoys flying around. That’s not exactly a big scenario, I just felt like that needed to be included. She likes the freedom that comes with it!!

Masterpost of Padfoot’s OCs

This is long because I have a LOT of pets... So I’m gonna put it under a read more. Including their current customizations/any artwork associated with them. Going to group them by character storyline, starting with my one-offs. AKA not really developed characters set by themselves or with one or two other pets.

Stand Alones/No Real Character Development/Need to work on:

Amethystira aka Sis. Affectionately called my Queen of Bones. Sis was adopted as a baby xweetok and started being trained for the BD back when the obelisk was starting to be whispered about. She had a character along with some other baby pets I had but I scrapped them all but hers, adopted out the three other babies and morphed her into a pirate draik. Then I was sick of looking at her as a pirate draik so I painted her green. Then I realized I didn’t actually like draiks so I started zapping. Then the lab decreased a few of her stats. I didn't want to waste NP so I started fucking around in DTI and customized a Transparent Blum and decided I needed her. She’s also my booktastic books pet and will eventually be my gourmet pet. She doesn’t have an actual character yet, unfortunately.

Current HSD: 1735 Currently training: Defence, supplementing with FQCs. Booktastic Books read: 138/161 JN Estimated Cost to Complete: 36,760,000 NP

Alaeri. I got Alaeri from Happy Zappers (idk if they even exist anymore, but they were like ZYDP) on April 4th 2013. I really love chocolate pets. Back when Neoschool was a thing here on the Neotag, Alaeri was a small part of it, but she doesn’t really have a character. Just that she’s a laid-back, outdoorsy lesbian. That’s literally it.

Efflie. I created Efflie 5 years ago and used an FFQ on her. I love aishas, I love chocolate pets. Her homepage is also home to the UC Trading Guide /~Efflie. She’s Alaeri’s girlfriend. But she’s more uptight and prissy. And that’s about it for her character.

Axella. I created a custom for a halloween guild challenge and fell so in love with it, I had to create her. I adopted Axella recently after seeing him UFA and shot off a quick NM app. He needs a gender change which I’m too lazy to send him to another account rn, but he’ll get it. Aside from that, no character at all.

Oracle Story Line

Oracle is being totally reworked right now. It was originally a storyline that I worked on with my friend Jezza who had a place called New Earth with her OCs. Oracle was founded by New Earth scientists on a planet far-yet sorta close by- and terraformed. Things went south in New Earth and all communication was cut off from Oracle. Oracle flourished for a quite some time and then had a crash in their stock market which prompted a civil war. When the dust cleared, Oracle was seized by the four remaining wealthiest families who promised to rebuild Oracle into her former glory. Unfortunately, they did not and they split Oracle into four quadrants to be headed by each family. Ravaged by the civil war and now basically a dictatorship with each quadrant ruled by a family, a rebellion begins to form by a group of the citizens, held up by two idealistic young adults. After nearly 30 years of fighting what seems to be a losing battle, these two adults are captured, tried for crimes against the land and executed. Their only child, a daughter who ran away in her teen years, is now called upon by the remaining rebels to become the new face of the resistance and give hope to the remaining members.

I’m reworking this with some friends to be set in a Neopian-centric land. I think what we’re going to do is make Oracle a province of Moltara, since it’s a steampunk post apocalyptic setting, and we’ll work in the Oracle lore with Neopia lore.

Drisit. I’ve had Drisit for longer than my 6 year old daughter has been alive. When I was pregnant with Lily, I got REALLY back into Neopets. I used to frequent the gifting boards back then (they were a lot different than they are now) and at the time, I really liked white xweetoks. So a user, who’s UN I still remember, gifted me Drisit. (I was able to later repay her by gifting her a female rb draik) Drisit is the pet that inspired me to create neo OCs and start doing art of my pets.

Drisit is the daughter of the fallen rebel leaders. As a child, she was trained in fighting by her father and in advanced military tactics by her mother. They groomed her essentially to take over the rebellion when she was old enough. Resisting their demands, Drisit ran away at sixteen years old. She survived on the streets, but just barely. For the poor, Oracle is a very hard place to live. But it gave her street smarts, sharpened her reaction time and many other things. After hearing of her parents death, Drisit returns to her childhood home to find it vacant. After a few days of staying there, mourning, the rebels made contact with her, asking her to return, to be the new face of the rebellion. Conflicted about it, Drisit does return and quickly finds herself as the head of the rebellion.

Symblor. I adopted Symblor from an UFQA board. She’s getting a complete customization overhaul. Depending on how the steampunk aisha looks, she may get that or she may just be painted silver.

Symblor is Drisit’s right hand woman. She was sold by her parents to a group of bandits at a young age for drug money. After being put through many many horrors she was found by Drisit’s father near death. Drisit’s father was able to essentially keep her alive by turning her into a cyborg. The government that rules Oracle has outlawed cybernetic enhancements so it’s very hard for her to find replacement parts when her rudimentary parts given by Drisit’s father start to fail. She’s terrified of being caught, tried for treason and executed, so she’s mostly behind the scenes. Very intelligent and cunning, Symblor devises most of the rebel attacks/missions. She’s the one who contacted Drisit after her parents death and the two became quick friends. She’s a few years younger than Drisit.

V5S aka V. V was another UFQA acquisition. I love chocolate pets a lot. They’re fun to draw :3

V was an orphan found as a young child by an elderly couple who owned a bakery in Oracle. The bakery was passed down through the family and was once very prosperous many many years ago. Now, however, it is quite run down although V still provides treats when she can through illicit means (stealing stuff so she doesn’t always sell stale bread lawls) V is quite the risk taker and mostly uses her bakery as a front for the rebels to have meetings in her basement. She’s also the one in contact with Ave’s palace being the go between with Ave and Drisit (more on Ave later). She’s also skilled in medicine and often patches up the rebels after a skirmish. Her character needs much development however.

messr_m00ny aka Moony. I created Moony before the conversions. He was always destined to be a werelupe like his namesake, Remus Lupin. I took a hiatus before conversions and came back and unfortunately, had not painted him before then. Eventually I just sucked it up, despite preferring the UC version and made him into the werelupe he was always meant to be.

Moony is one half of a bandit duo. He’s the talkative, charming one. Growing up on the outskirts near the roughest part of Oracle, he had to steal and conive to survive. Although he has a way with the ladies, often seducing them for information, he is indeed very gay. Depending on how steampunk lupes look, he may get a repaint. Unsure.

Trelm was a stuck pet. I adopted him and painted him Stealthy myself. He’s the second half of the bandit duo and Moony partner, both in crime and romantically.

Trelm used to be a wisecracking, never serious, always jolly type. Despite having it hard growing up, he tried to hold onto a positive outlook. He and Moony found each other as young teens, orphans who grew up on the streets of Oracle. The two were always out for adventure, getting into scraps and fights, stealing, all sorts of illicit things to survive. And they were fairly good at it as well.

Until they met with the wrong group of raiders. After a fight that they nearly lost, Trelm had his throat cut and vocal chords severed. With some quick thinking, Moony got his partner to the bakery he had heard of where the owner was able to save lives. After this, Moony decided for the two of them they were done with their banditry ways and were talked into joining the rebels by V. Trelm is now mute. He’s petpage also hosts the UC/BD trading guide, /~Trelm.

Iramkayim aka Iram. Iram is a funny story. A long long time ago, I came up with a character set in Oracle for an UC Grey Lupe that I was applying for. The owner eventually disappeared and I still stalked the Lupe for years. I saw him on a new account and apparently, the old owner had returned and traded at some point. Into a permanent home *sad face*

So a few months ago, I happened across a user adopting out their UCs. It was the lupes owner! He wasn't one of the ones that were UFA but I mailed the owner and told her I had applied for him and was wondering if she would be willing to trade. Instead, she offered to let me adopt! I was over the fucking moon. I had loved and watched this lupe afar for six or seven years.

Well. Long story short, he was from a compromised account, TNT reversed the adoption and the real owner got him back. Which is bittersweet. I’m glad she got her accounts/pets back, but he was once again in a permanent home.

So I started rethinking things. The character I made was very tragic, which is why I wanted an UC Grey Lupe. They are sad. But then, after thinking about it, while his character is tragic he’s ready to fight. Mostly because of revenge. So I decided on an UC Mutant Lupe cos they’re designs are fucking awesome.

So meet Lieutenant Iram Kayim. Iram grew up in the worst place of Oracle with poor excuses for parents. He fought throughout his life, always in some sort of trouble and as he got older, spending nights in jail. He was ruthless. Catching the eyes of some government officials, he was eventually drafted into their military. Quickly rising through the ranks, eventually, Iram becomes one of the inner circles most trust, often tasked with dangerous and immoral tasks.

Until he meets a young woman, the daughter of a man in the government. Iram falls in love with her, who softens his heart and makes him rethink his cruel ways. Eventually, they have a child, a daughter. Unbeknownst to Iram, his wife is secretly involved with the rebellion, a close confidante to Drisit and before her, her parents. She is able to give them information she learns through her father and Iram. One night she sneaks off to be a part of a raid, her daughter following closely behind her. She dies and Drisit finds Brenna, their daughter, crying over her mother's body. Trying to escape with Brenna in her arms, the two are shot and Brenna dies. Iram finds out the next day at work and immediately goes into a rage, and after inflicting some damage on one of his coworkers, quits his job.

He begins to drink his life away, living in the house, haunted by the ghosts of his wife and daughter until one day, Drisit shows up and offers him a proposal he can't refuse. Fueled by revenge, Iram becomes a soldier for the rebellion and eventually, he and Drisit fall in love.

CountessAvenge aka Countess Avenge aka The Countess aka Ave. Ave was my longest goal on Neo. It took me many years of trading to finally achieve her.

Ave is the daughter of one of the four families. She grew up not knowing the plight of the Oracle people. In fact, the only time she ever ventured beyond the castle gates was the day of her wedding. She was entered into a prearranged marriage to the leader of one of the four families. After the wedding took place in Ave’s castle, she journyed by carriage to her husbands palace and her heart broke at seeing her fellow citizens as she traveled across the land.

Once she reached her destination, Ave vowed to somehow, someway, change circumstances for her citizens. End their poverty stricken lives and give them and their children a future. Little did she know her new husband was a cruel man who delighted in his power. Growing depressed, Ave thought of ending her life since, as far as she could tell, she would not be able to help her people. Until she meets V, who is delivering some baked goods to the castle once a month. After talking in secret, V convinces Ave to supply the rebels with invaulable information.

Ave is the reason I am reworking Oracles storyline to be included in Neopia. Eventually, she meets Elle. Elle is the character my friend Coral has for an UC RG Kyrii she hopes to own one day. The two fall in love and carry out a secret relationship. Since the story is being reworked, I don’t have much info on the two yet, but they are hands down my OTP.

Twins of Shenkuu (and other characters)

These characters are based in Neopia and are RP’d with two of my friends and their characters. We’re working on getting a hub up at some point. There are actually two character groups involved in this, the Twins being the first.

Juni_Kava aka Juni. Juni was the crown princess of Shenkuu. Her father is Princess Lunara’s brother. We��re still working on the lore. She’s the only daughter with six brothers, one being her twin. Chase is the stand-in name for her twin, an UC Fae Wocky that my friend Gromit hopes to have one day.

Juni was born with a magical ability to influence air/mist. She was in line for the crown, along with her twin. Juni always followed her parents instructions, excelling at anything she tried. It was always thought she would become the next Queen.

Until one day she is approached by the Moon Pheonix, a legendary creature that many stories were told of. However, everyone chalks the Moon Pheonix up to just that, a legend. Kyukuon (an UC Fae Pteri owned by my friend Coral) is the Moon Pheonix, charged with being a protector of sorts. It seems the Guardian of Shenkuu, another creature thought to be that of legend, is dying and Kyu has been tasked with finding the next Guardian. Unbeknownst to the twins, they have been observed in secret for quite some time by Jo, (UC Fae Xwee owned by Gromit) who is Kyu’s apprentice. When the time comes, Kyu makes contact with Juni and explains the situation to her, explaining that she is destined to be the next guardian. Fashioning a secret gateway between realms that will connect Juni to the castle and her family, Kyu convinces Juni to come with her to begin her training, leaving her brothers to vy between themselves for the throne.

AdaWong aka Ada. For generations, Ada’s family is one of the families tasked with protecting the Queen and King of Shenkuu, along with their descendants. Her mother and father are the current guards to the King and Queen and Ada was born at the same time as Juni. Growing up as best friends, Ada’s destiny was always been that she would become Juni’s protector. Eventually being sent off in her teenage years to begin her training, to a very very secret place, Ada and Juni are devastated to be separated. Secretly, they were in love but knew they could never be together due to Juni’s responsibility to the throne and the inevitable marriage and children she would eventually be expected to produce.

When Ada returns to the palace, she finds her friend gone and must make the decision, should she stay and become the protector of whichever brother inherits the throne, or follow her true love into an unknown adventure. Ada’s character has much to be worked on, but I think it’s a no-brainer what she chooses to do.

KittyRTM aka Katrina Rose aka Kitty. Kitty was born into a well-respected, but slightly lesser noble family. The family was known worldwide for providing some of the best produce from Faerieland, but they were most famous for their position in working alongside and assisting Queen Fyora. They were growing strong in Faerieland and were accumulating power through both their high ranking position with Fyora, and their thriving industry, but when Faire's father unexpectedly passed, things changed for the worse for Kitty and her family. Faire's mother had to sell their many farms to keep the pride of the family, the High Garden Estate, secure within the family.

There is quite a lot going on with Kitty’s family and it’s waaay to much to type up here. But if you’d like to know more, I’m currently in the process of changing my former project page for an UC Fae Aisha into her actual character page located on /~KittyRTM. I am very much in love with her character.

The Supernaturals

These pets also cross over into the Twins storyline and are RP’d with Coral and Gromit. They arent as prominent as the above characters and are also their own stand alone group. Many of them need character development.

Stariea aka Star. Star was an apprentice of Sophie the Swamp Witch when she was young and also worked for a time under Jhudora. She ties into the above characters through Sil and Jess (an UC Dari Eyrie and an UC Dari Lupe) that are owned by my friend Coral.

Star is an exceptionally talented sorceress. She is feared by many, but instead of actually being malicious, she’s moreso out for herself than anyone else. After leaving Jhudora due to a disagreement, Star greatly dislikes the dark faerie and will do whatever she can to disrupt or irritate her. She still has a good working relationship with Sophie, however. Star is accompanied by Bonnie and Clyde, her bearclops. Bonnie was a meowclops and Clyde was a bearog. After an experiment gone wrong, they were fused together. They’re about the size of Jhudora’s pets, Daisy and Sarah.

She is also accompanied by Bernard, a swamp ghoul she picked up on her travels. Bernard is not his real name, Star doesn’t know it. Although she treats him as a lowly assistant, he is quite terrifying in his own right, but he sticks with Star because she’s one of the few he’s crossed paths with that doesn’t run screaming from him on sight.

Falxo is a necromancer who was captured by Jhudora with the hopes that she would learn his magic. Disfigured due to her many experiments, since he wouldn’t just give up the information, Falxo and Star became close when she worked under Jhudora and Falxo was her prisoner. In fact, Falxo (alone with Sil and Jess, although Star doesn’t like Jess) was the reason Star rebelled against her teacher. Helping the three escape, Falxo opted to stay with Star. He’s somewhat silent and keeps to himself. The two are in a relationship and enjoy learning from one another. His character needs to be worked on as well.

Morovo aka Oro. Oro is akin to a crossroads demon. She’s able to make deals, promising fame and fortune to those that summon her. All she asks in return is something very simple, their soul. She meets Star when she’s summoned during an experiment Star and Falxo are attempting. Her character also needs heavy work.

Solariasae aka Solar. Solar is a young, clumsy witch who hounds Star to take her on as an apprentice. Her character will most likely be further developed based on what happens after The Wraith Resurgance.

tocanini aka Toci. Toci is a druid who strives to protect all life. That’s literally all I have for her. Sorry Toci. We’ll work on you, I promise.

Spiritox aka Spirit. Yea Idk about him. He’s bad. But that’s all I got. Does magic. Or something.

Liliaise aka Lili. She summons stuff. Idk anything else. Just that shes gonna be involved with all the above pets.

Ryzzal and his partner Trikil (more on her next) are also tied into the Twins and Supernaturals through my friend coral’s pirate eyrie, Izi. Ryzzal ran away at a young age from his fathers home due to fear. He’s biologically male but is nonbinary. Fearing his father would find out, Ry left home. Eventually he ends up on Krawk Island, securing a job as a wench that serves the Food Club. He’s the prettiest girl in the room and has a slight fear of being found out to be male, but is generally accepted. Flirting around with the pirates, Ry loves his life. He still needs much development and I’ve never had a nonbinary character, so please don’t crucify me if I write him wrong. I’m always looking to learn more and happy to take critiques and suggestions!

Trikil aka Trikky aka Trik. Trik is an adventurous pirate who is always on the lookout for new treasure and adventure. She’s a regular on Krawk Island, especially since she met her partner Ryzzal, after frequenting the Food Club for fun and drinks. Although she isn’t always around, she has come to call Krawk Island home and looks foward to returning just as much as she looks forward to engaging on her next adventure. Sometimes alone, sometimes with friends. Her character also needs work.

The Space Explorers

These two are completely on their own, not touching any of my other pets. I do have a slight work around with @grobleen’s character, Cregan and some interaction with my friend Shanna’s space based pets. If you have spaced based pets, get at me! I’d love to expand this to include your pets as well!

Nirohean aka Niro. Niro is a fun loving bounty huntress. She can either be found bebopping around space looking for her next bounty, or stopping in on a nearby planet looking for the next party. She’s talented at her job, but loves having fun as well. She takes bounties that are interesting to her and isn’t ALWAYS on the side of the law, although she tries to be. She’s accompanied by her childhood best friend and pilot, Criliu and her Mechanized Laboratory Assistant Ridgewell that Criliu built for her. Ridgewell is a mixture between Portal 2s Wheatley and Fallout 4′s Cogsworth.

Criliu aka Cri. Cri is Niro’s best friend and pilots her ship. He’s a huge tech nerd and helps Niro with her bounties often by hacking into things and getting her information that other bounty hunters aren’t privy to. While Niro is an extrovert, Cri prefers to be alone with his ship and his gadgets. He’s secretly in love with Niro, but doesn’t know how to tell her.

Exhales Whew. That’s a lot of OCs. A lot of them need a lot of work. But I’m always open to friendships/relationships with other people’s OCs. Feel free to ask questions or whatever else with any of these babs!

Double Time (16/24)

Disclaimer: Red vs Blue and related characters are the property of Rooster Teeth. Warnings: Language, Canon-typical violence Pairings: Tuckington, Chex Rating: T Synopsis: [Hero Time Sequel] After the events of Hero Time, the city and Blood Gulch are prepared for the true return of superheroes in a big way. But while Washington is attempting to adjust to a new relationship and a new living arrangement, the call of new heroes and a new mayor mean major changes for his professional life as well as his personal one. How will the balance of values fare when his new partners come to test everything he’s made of.

A/N: A day late! You have my apologies! It’s another plotty chapter but if you’re familiar with how Hero Time stories go you can probably predict what that means for the next couple of chapters ; ) We’re getting close, guys!! Eight chapters left!

Time to Take Charge

There were probably less dramatic ways to get into Church’s apartment, but Washington was running too short on time to act outside of his own instincts. So he went with the picking of the lock on the window and lifting it open so as to perch on the ledge as dusk settled behind him.

The usual.

By the time Church actually paused from typing at his computer, as if finally aware of another presence, Washington had thought of at least half a dozen ways any sort of villain or regular robber probably could have dismantled him. And it certainly wasn’t because they had known each other for six months and the level of aggression between being Tucker’s boyfriend and being Tucker’s best friend had only proved to mount itself higher.

Church nearly leaped out of his seat when he saw Wash, hand over his chest as his head leaned back. He was running fans loudly to apparently cool down his robotic body. “Jesus Fucking Christ,” he half-shouted. “You are, quite possibly, the worst fucking sight in the world for anyone with a remotely questionable past and maybe-not-so-great present record. Just so you’re aware.”

“Consider me aware,” Wash replied, continuing into the apartment as if acknowledgement served as invitation — which it practically did in Blood Gulch anymore.

Narrowing his eyes, Church crossed his arms and leaned back into his seat. “If you’re here to ask me for another updated superhero suit, you can fucking forget it. Tucker still owes me, like, three bar hops before the current disaster you’re wearing is paid off.”

“You consider your own work a disaster?” Wash asked casually, raising his brow.

Caught off guard, Church opened his mouth, closed it, muttered a bit. “I… that’s. No. Obviously. Just that… you. And your… like, corniness. It infects any design. And I hate it. Shut up,” he finally spat out. “What’re you here for?”

“I’m wondering if you’ve seen Tex,” Wash explained lowly.

As expected, Church pulled a full body flinch at the bare mention of his ex.

“Why? You guys having another hatefest sponsored by your animosity toward me? Again?” Church demanded angrily.

“No, of course not. That only happened once,” Wash replied casually.

“You’re such a fucking dick, I don’t know how Tucker puts up with you,” Church responded, somewhat aghast. “Like it’s amazing. Do you have any idea what a fucking saint he has to be for that?”

“I’m aware,” Wash replied flatly. “But this is about Tex. Have you seen her? I’ve only gotten texts and phone calls from her for the better part of a month and none of those have been more than… cryptic, at best.”

For a moment, Church looked at Wash puzzled. Then it just went to smug.

“Wow. Cryptic. How horrible. Would hate to be around someone who only spoke in cryptic codes all the goddamn time for the sake of being dramatic and secretive,” Church replied before turning back to his computer.

“You’re pissed that I exist and changed up whatever groove that Blood Gulch had before, I get it,” Wash replied with an aggravated sigh. “You want nothing to ever change and your misery to be the only thing that matters. But that’s just too bad, Church, because I��m around, and with a possible future mayor who is actually interested in bringing back a sense of real status quo to the city, these are things that are going to be good and they’re hopefully going to be permanent.” Knowing that the aggressive route was going to get him nowhere with Church’s legendary stubbornness, Wash reached up and pinched his brow and sighed. “Look, you and I both care about Tex not being in trouble and I’m worried about how little I’ve seen of her lately. Especially with things being… questionable with new heroes popping up, and the Reds getting more active on my orders around Blood Gulch. I just want to know she’s okay.”

“Wow, must suck to not see Tex for ages and have to worry about the worst for her. I feel so bad for you right now I could barf,” Church returned angrily.

“So you’ve not seen Tex,” Wash surmised.

“Oh, I’ve seen her plenty while you played House,” Church responded. “Who do you think I’m codebreaking for at the moment? Just the lawls? She’s been up my ass getting shit out of me for whatever nonsense she’s been playing for months now. Dunno why you’re not included. Probably for the best. She’s probably aware what a nuisance you are.”

Caught off guard, Wash neared Church. “What? You two are working together? On what—“

“I don’t know,” Church groaned before catching himself and shaking his head. “Actually, I know. I totally know because I totally asked why I was doing this instead of just… y’know, following her orders without question. But because she respected me so totally much by asking me to do this for her, I don’t have to tell you. She obviously wants to keep it to herself.”

Washington stared at Church for a moment before rushing to the back of his computer chair and attempting to lean in over his shoulder.

“Hey! What the hell! Back off!” Church cried out over dramatically, pulling against Wash to no avail.

“Just let me see what you’re working on—“ Wash said before seeing that there were multiple black windows all across the computer screen with white, green, blue, and red text in brackets that continued to fly out at speeds that nearly crossed Wash’s eyes. He leaned back and away from the screen entirely.

“What the hell’s that?” he asked, shocked.

“Codebreaking, the fuck did you think it looked like?” Church asked, taking the initiative to shove Wash further away from him though, with his strength, it did little other than causing his own chair to roll away from his station. Church then erupted into a series of frustrated, mewling noises that never quite formed words before he threw up his arms and glared at Wash. “Would you just fucking leave already?”

“No, I haven’t gotten everything I’m here for,” Wash said simply.

“Oh my god you are the worst superhero,” Church groaned, clapping his hands over his face and dragging them down dramatically. “What, Wash? What do you want from me other than my sanity? Which you are doing wonders for making me lose entirely.”

Ignoring the dramatics, Wash looked intently toward Church. “I want you — whenever you take time off from… all of this — to head over to my apartment and completely redo the security system.”

“Are you fucking kidding me?” Church cried out in annoyance. “I’m not a fucking handyman, Wash!”

“It’s not a favor and it’s not a request,” Wash answered.

“Your people skills are astoundingly inept,” Church continued to insult.

“It’s a safety precaution for Tucker and Junior,” Wash went on without pause. “The stuff I’ve gotten into… it’s making me nervous. Nervous enough that I’m questioning the validity of the security system as it stands now. I think that whatever’s coming is going to be worse than what I’ve prepared for, and I think there’s reason to believe that I’ve been watched and followed to the point that Tucker and Junior’s security has been jeopardized.”

Taking a moment to let the words wash over him, Church leaned back and narrowed his eyes once more. “You’re… What are you involved with?”

“I don’t know, but it could go to the top, and with as chummy as at least one of our mayoral candidates are with Felix—“

“Dude, what the fuck’s wrong with Felix?” Church scoffed. “Did he save your ass too many times? Embarrass poor widdle kitty cat?”

“He found us in a park and threatened us about six hours ago,” Wash replied critically.

“Whoa,” Church said, brows raised. “Did you deserve it?”

“Did Tucker?” Wash snapped, beginning to lose his cool.

“I mean, he did make the choice to fuck you against my better judgment so,” Church responded with a rotation of his hand.

“You might be the worst friend a person could have,” Wash reveled out loud.

“Wrong, asshole! I’m the best friend a person could have because I’m going to pull your asses out of the fire and go look over your security system and what not and then give Tucker relationship advice. Again. For ten hours. Again,” Church replied, shutting off his computer after a final line of text that was incomprehensible to Wash. “And probably suffer the wrath of my ex-girlfriend for putting off her shit… again. I’m like the most selfless motehrfucker in this entire goddamn world, and it’s about time someone around here recognized me for it.”

“You’re doing a good job of recognizing yourself,” Wash amended. “Are you heading over right now?”

“No, I’m stopping everything in my tracks for a pizza I can’t eat — of course I’m heading over there, you just said my best friend is about to get himself damseled. I’m either going to stop that shit or I’m going to enjoy watching it unfold,” Church said wryly.

“Good, tell Tucker I’ll be home late,” Wash said, heading for the window.

“Wait a second, Washington,” Church called out, drawing the hero’s attention again.

“What?”

“What’s it matter?” Wash asked. “I’m calling balls and strikes and Kimball’s got questionable company and policies.”

Church’s brows raised again. “Kimball, hm? Interesting. Interesting. You know, this really is something you should talk to your boy…. Nope. Still can’t say that word for you two. Anyway, hope you talk to Tucker about it because that’ll be an amazing one. I would actually sit in the room and watch that one.”

“Tucker’s not for Kimball,” Wash said with a shake of his head.

“Ha ha ha ha ha ha,” Church called out in bland succession before heading for his door. “Oh, yeah. Definitely going to be in the room for that one.”

Wash scrutinized the robot as he made his way out but shook his head and left all the same. There was a lot to do that night, and Tucker’s annoying friends were something to deal with at a later date.

i just want to say i love your work so so much!! i had no idea scientific institutions hired illustrators, that sounds like an awesome job! did you study both art and biology or one of them? i hope one day i can draw birds as expressive as you do :O

Thank you for your kind words!! (and for your patience in my slow replying.........) This internship at the Lab is a unique opportunity, and I am honored to have been able to have it for as long as I have! I will be happy yo pass the torch to a new artist later this year, but I will miss this place immensely. To answer your question, I did study both! I did my undergrad in biology at Virginia Tech (back when I thought I might still go to medical school, lawl) and then went to SCAD for an MFA in Illustration, and then pinged back to William and Mary for a M.S. in Biology. Both art and science have obviously had a huge influence on my work--all the time I spent studying biology has given me a great understanding of how animals in general are put together (and trained me to ask questions about the world as a bonus). I drew tons before I went to SCAD as well, but the professors and other students (especially the other students--who are my critique buddies to this day!) there really helped whip my artistic sensibilities into shape. A secret (not) behind the expressiveness--in high school/college I drew a BUNCH of comics and cartoons with my friends (a lot of anime-type stuff before I moved more into my own way of doing things), and spent a lot of time making up OCs (as they are now called!) and drawing them all the time, and doing those expression charts for them all, and writing stories about them. This was long before Tumblr was such a big thing (I’m old..............) but it definitely helped me develop a sense of what facial expressions convey what emotions. Even though birds.... don’t really do... facial expressions... I’ve managed to smash together all those years of drawing cartoon faces with all the years I’ve spend studying birds for research to make birds that look like they’re conveying human emotions! I’ve wandered a bit here, but basically my point is, artistically, no drawing subject is a waste of your time if you learn from it. I never expected to be drawing cartoon humans for the job I have now, but all those years of humanoid OC drawing I did are suddenly unexpectedly coming in handy.Thanks again for your comments and questions (and patience)! 1. Who is the most affectionate?

Komaeda is really clingy so he gets really affectionate, especially since an embarrassed Hinata is really cute.

2. Big spoon/Little spoon?

Typically Hinata/Komaeda. Sometimes it’ll switch depending on if Hinata’s asleep first and if Komaeda’s feeling really cold.

4. Favorite non-sexual activity?

They enjoy silence with one another, but Komaeda’s also quite fond of their domestic routine. Hinata also likes taking Komaeda to see pretty things because of the way Komaeda’s eyes sparkle when he’s impressed.

5. Who is most likely to carry the other?

Hinata has the strength to and doesn’t mind flaunting it. Komaeda lacks the strength and struggles for it. (When he tries, it’s like a baby deer trying to stand.)

6. What is their favorite feature of their partner’s?

Komaeda’s the kind of person to say “everything” but he really likes Hinata’s warmth and his smile. Also his chest and abs are not half-bad.

Hinata finds it hard to pick favorites, but if you twisted his arm, he’d probably say he favors Komaeda’s hands, his eyes, his calm smile, and his thighs and hips.

Hinata likes the sound of Komaeda’s given name too much to use a nickname. Komaeda’s not one for them either (It’s just “Hajime”/”Hajime-kun”) but sometimes when he likes to make Hinata flustered by playing the role of loving, doting cutesy house husband, he’ll use stuff like “darling” or “honey”. Hinata can’t ever take him seriously.

Komaeda in general, but Hinata worries more about Komaeda in particular than Komaeda does about Hinata

Komaeda because Hinata’s the kind of guy who always orders the same thing.

No one is actually surprised. Souda’s weirded out, but…he’s not surprised.

Weirded out at most but approval nonetheless. Hinata’s been asked “are you sure? that guy? THAT guy?” more than a few times and he gets irritated so it’s accepted pretty quickly that yes, Hinata is sure. THAT guy.

Neither, unless Hinata is drunk.

22. Who cooks more/who is better at cooking?

Komaeda cooks surprisingly well when the kitchen doesn’t collapse on him. But usually it’s Hinata because he’s strict about Komaeda getting the right about of nutrients in their meals.

Hinata tries them. Gets flustered. Komaeda loves them, because it gets Hinata even more flustered.

You’d think it was Komaeda but Komaeda swears up and down it’s Hinata. Hinata also thinks it’s Hinata.

….They don’t share the same taste in music, lawl.

Who the fuck would let these two raise a child. They’re already raising themselves and each other.

It’s Komaeda because Hinata can’t hold a note for shit.

Komaeda’s used to being alone so he usually just carries through chores, assignments, duties, and on leisure times he just reads and maybe walks. Sometimes if not periodically, he sends Hinata stupidly cute texts throughout the door if Hinata’s off doing important work.

Hinata, meanwhile, ever a workaholic throws himself into work when Komaeda’s not around and only keeps himself from losing his shit with quick breaks to properly focus and check his phone and sometimes check on Komaeda and pulls through because Komaeda sent him this stupidly cute text about a pinecone that looked like him thanks Komaeda but immediately afterwards he throws himself back in. He gets antsy when awake and alone so he usually naps if he can or tries and often fails to force himself to relax and read. He pulls through when Komaeda sends him a picture of a daybreak sky with the text message “Hinata Hajime!” and also a winky emoticon.

For KamuKoma

Kamukura’s the type of person who says “everything” and means it. But Komaeda really does have nice hips and is quite endearingly affectionate, both traits that Kamukura is quite fond of.

Komaeda wants to say “everything” and mean it. But he gets the most chills at Kamukura’s imposing presence and sharp gaze. And yeah, dat chest. Dem abs.

7. What’s the first thing that changes when they realize they have feelings for the other?

Komaeda thinks nothing of it because it’s Kamukura Izuru, of course he’d fall in love with someone like Kamukura Izuru.

But Kamu, curious at how these feelings came to be, observes Komaeda more closely to see just what it was exactly that invoked such feelings. He confesses pretty quickly because that’s the logical and most effective way of dealing with these feelings.

9. Who worries the most?

Pfffft. Kamukura denies being even capable of worrying.

28. What do they do when they’re away from each other?

Komaeda’s much the same as he is when away from Hinata, except maybe more absent-minded, if that makes any sense?

Kamukura is all business even more so than Hinata and even more singularly-focused, so he does whatever tasks at hand he’s supposed to do without worrying or stressing the way Hinata would. But in times of leisure without Komaeda, Kamukura just gets so bored that he’ll either sit and stare at a wall or wander aimlessly. If Komaeda’s sending him cutesy texts, he goes on a mission to find and text Komaeda pictures of things he know Komaeda will like.

29. one headcanon about this OTP that breaks your heart

While in SHSL Despair together, Kamukura has seen what Komaeda looks like broken and hysterical. Sometimes, he’s been the cause of it even when the other was begging him. While he’d been interested in the sight due to Komaeda’s usual demeanor being completely shattered in a way he’d never quite seen before (because he knows few people as well as Komaeda), that face ate away at him in a way that was definitively unpleasant and decidedly best avoided. He hated Junko for wanting to see more and more of it.

30. one headcanon about this OTP that mends it

Kamukura’s prone to being unspeakably gentle with Komaeda, and when Komaeda wants to be consoled or comforted, Kamukura doesn’t mind providing him with solace. The way Kamukura expresses his care through words is always matter-of-fact and firm in a way that there are no disagreements. Kamukura will say without hesitation or even the slightest lowering in his voice that Komaeda is precious to him and is someone who not only deserves his protection but is entitled to it. :B
