Really wish I could fight the schmuck who invented allergies with my bare hands

#Seasonal allergies suck ASS.#Usually it's not too bad but like. Our air conditioning has been out for like 3 days now #And it's not getting fixed til Monday #So I've had to sleep with my windows open bc otherwise I'd ROAST like a pig in my room #(Which is upstairs. Where ALLLL the heat in the house travels to)#But bc I've had to sleep with my windows open. ALL the pollen keeps blowing in #So I'll wake up with my eyes streaming and my nose streaming and EVERYTHING just. Awful #I could close the window. But then I'd cook. But my allergies are SO bad. But it's hot. But I literally cannot breathe through my own snot.#HATE IT HERE #I hate summer. I HAAAATE summer so much #I can't wait for fall and winter.....snow please come back.....#Shima speaks #I'm so angry bc I've been stuffy and congested all day. #i've been meaning to remake the original monster boyz post for sooo long #when i first made that edit they were essentially just dhes & kel in costume #like. i honestly didn't want to write any lore for the mbz for a long time #but the lore practically wrote itself #they sort of just naturally evolved into who they are now #& now that i have lore for them i have so many edits & story stuff i want to do with them that i literally cannot keep up #i have a literal list of shit i wanna make & do w them & i just do not have the time to do any of it!!#it's gonna take me all of next year to get through this list!!#they're like. genuinely my favorite lil guys #i'm glad i joined simblr bc i never would have made them otherwise #i never had any interest in apocalypse stories or even horror for that matter #i mean. i like horror movies but as far as writing goes i was always more of a slice of life kinda person #y'all have opened my eyes to the horrors #(in a good way)#n e way. i do plan on making a few lore/story related posts at some point #i have NOT forgotten about the boys' origin stories. i just don't have tiiiiime #rainyrambles

The problem with starting to think about the Pack more is the fact that now I want to grab Skalamander the same way I grabbed Bobo like. My house now. I want to use your character potential.

#Generator rex #genrex #Just. Ough. OUGH.#Bobo was just a bad use of his potential but Skalamander is just a nothing use of his potential. Very little character there.#But looking at his design I just. Cannot get the question out of my head of 'Is it painful?'#Is he an EVO who lives in constant pain? We see that he can't stop drooling and is blind on one 'side' of his head.#And his tongue flops around when he has his mouth open. His skin stretches and sags in awkward places #It makes me think that he probably lives a pain-filled life and has probably got a wrecked mind bc of it. And then follows VK #Someone who looks at him and says You are not broken. I have use of you. I have salvation.#And with the disability symbolism with Genrex Skalamander also looks the most chronic pain having #Though granted most EVOs with significant body changes probably have chronic pain #I just. Head in hands. Fucked up lizard. How much of his mind is actually still there.#Do you think he has good days and bad days. Bad days where he can't move or days where his mind is more of a mess than usual.#He definitely has to struggle to eat and drink. With no other mouth.#Thinking also in context of Rex Pack AU of like. Skalamander having his bad days and having people who actually care about him #Doing the best they can to help. Bringing him food and water with specially designed straws and utensils #Sitting and talking to him on days his mind isn't fully there so at least he's not alone. Giving him space if he needs it #But making sure to keep a close eye on absolutely anything he needs.#Bc they're one big disabled family and they take care of each other

false awakenings are the absolute worst. a few days ago i had a false awakening that went like, seven awakenings deep and i was paranoid for half the day that i still wasn't actually awake

#also idk if this happens to anyone else but when i have false awakenings i physically cannot open my eyes in my dream #like they keep shutting and my eylids feel so heavy that i have to hold them open with my hands and then they STILL close #eventually partway into the false awakening cycle a few days ago i just stopped trying and crawled around my apartment in the dream #which was sort of terrifying tbh. do not recommend!!!#and you may be thinking 'well that's horrifying but you know theres a tell! yo uknow you aren't actually awake!' but NO #because my brain processes that i've felt this before but always forgets i 'felt' it in a dream #so it it goes 'oh well you're really awake this time but you're having that eye problem again! that IRL eye problem you have! that sucks!!!#and i just BELIEVE IT

Love that Clark can and will repress the shit out of his emotions (because of his own minor martyr complex), but the MOMENT Bruce starts repressing something, Clark WILL bug him until he processes it.

My guy Clark compartmentalises his dire loneliness and treats his body like a tool, but if he sees BRUCE doing it? Illegal. All of Bruce's problems wil be solved with the power of friendship.

And honestly, that makes Bruce's grumpiness SO much more valid. Clark will try to put Bruce through ten years of therapy before deciding to work on his own issues. Clark may be MORE emotionally literate, but he's also drunk the 'greater good' kool-aid and therefore ALSO spends a lot of time not really treating himself like a person.

But! Bruce still gets upset whenever Clark goes into self-sacrificing mode, he'll make digs about Clark's own lack of self preservation.

I'd like to see more of that, more of Bruce using his subtlety and passive aggressive communication methods to intervene and push Clark to understand his own feelings better, even if the intervention is in the form of an argument, or a 72 part orchestrated plot which reflects Clark's own internal struggles. They both serve, to some extent, as checks and balances for the other's shortcomings of introspection. Both of them, not just Clark.

#idk. clark is an idiot #i love him but he is an idiot #and Bruce will push him to analyse his own shortcomings #BOTH tactical AND emotional #Clark has a shortcoming of emotional intelligence too bless him #they have one emotional intelligence between them. and its Mostly in Clark but Clark still needs someone to call him on his bullshit!#emotionally!#i wrote this at midnight and cannot be bothered to edit it #except for the word 'aggressive' which I couldnt spell correctly bc I couldnt keep my eyes open
