i have a little headcanon that Val has a wonky antennae because Angel tried to fight back once and it got bad. really bad. Angel has bite he just learned the very important lesson about sizing his fights that day. he still does with others if he's intoxicated enough, he wouldn't feel the punches n shit. but. yeah.
