shoutout to that one time i had a dream where my computer was having horrible crashes and then a program opened up on it that was like this super old Star Trek computer troubleshooting program that was almost like an interactive game thing. like it started out with a title screen of the Enterprise flying across the screen with the Star Trek logo and the main theme playing, and then an FMV would play of Picard, Riker and Data all standing around a glossy table in a glass space station getting a communication (likely from Worf) that the user's computer had crashed wasn't working properly, then Picard and Riker would look at each other and go "well, that doesn't sound too good, doesn't it?" "indeed it doesn't, Number One." and then they'd all turn to the viewer. the camera cut to Riker, who, with that beautiful smile of his, was like "why don't we try to figure this out?" and then it'd take you to a super retro looking troubleshooting menu that was a mix between the LCARS look and a metallic plate. the menu had Star Trek theming all over it and to the right of the menu were three detailed Megadrive styled sprites of Riker, Picard and Data (but no Geordi, which is odd considering he's one of the ships main engineers) over a black background with stars. also everything was purple for some reason. it was just. purple Star Trek.

there was also a bit where i looked up information about this old program and i found out that a variant of it appeared on very rare PS2 models and was built into the BIOs and would appear after a crash. i don't know why it was the PS2 specifically. it was probably because it looks like something that would be on there.

(also there was this other bit that happened in the dream that was really funny where, after my computer crashed again, a real life borg literally just appeared next to me and i turned to them and went "hey can you help fix my computer" and they were like "sorry i can only attach human dna to it :(". and then later Data himself appeared and tried to help fix it, but for some reason his words were really muffled and hard to hear and he eventually just phased out of existence while desperately trying to explain what was wrong with it. my computer was so busted that bro fuckin died)

Say hello to Dreamweaver! I love the idea that Luna and Discord bond over being former villains and the prejudice that arises from that. Their draconequus child is the ruler of the dream realm, taking over for their mother when she retires from her royal duties. Some lore I thought of while drawing them~ Dreamweaver's body is made of a sheep's head, doe/dragon body and dove/bat wings. The projection over their horns is always the current phase of the moon. Their hair mimics the dawn sky and their wings the night. They represent both dreams and nightmares.

The orb they carry helps them enter and manipulate the dreams of others, a gift from their mother. It is said when Dreamweaver came into their magic, all creatures began dreaming. It was only common for ponies to dream before then. Dreamweaver is very shy and quiet outside of others dreams. Inside of dreams they take many forms and express their personality more outwardly. Once you have become close to Dreamweaver, you'll find out just how fun they are and how much they love pranks.

I had an unfinished Leo/Koya pitch from years ago where Koya, in an attempt to destroy Leo (this was back when they were still enemies), messes around with some of Kitsune's dark magic which causes Leo and Dark Leo to split into two separate people. Then of course Leo and Koya have to team up to stop Dark Leo who is stalking them through the wilderness. I still think that's a fun idea and I'd love to bring it back in some way one day.

— Similar to Dynamight's quirk, his blood has nitroglycerin. He's able to make explosions using his own blood while also producing nitroglycerin sweat to make a bigger explosion. He's also able to manipulate his own blood into weapons and different shapes along with different figures such as webs. He has this little string on the side of his neck. He tugs that and his whole body explodes, he's able to respond by phasing through the body's of others and reforming himself.

drawbacks — Hearing problems (he refuses to get a hearing aid) , sudden urges to absorb/suck the blood out of other people to become more powerful , anemia (iron deficiency specifically)

Been looking through kazukibo art again (new fic has me hyped) and got a question. How'd you come up with the designs for the fan kids because I really like them. They have a nice mix of "clearly takes after their parents" but also enough of their own style to not make them feel like carbon copies. I usually avoid fan kid stuff because it does feel too much like carbon copies but yours are so well done so I'm curious.

kinda in a bad mood so I'm gonna ramble to help me feel better.

So the "Generation Xerox" trope is one that I never liked. To me, if you, I dunno, create a kid that's literally Makoto Naegi, except yas Kyoko's hair color, to me, that's lazy, and I don't want to be lazy with character design. That's also why you won't see me making characters with full on heterochromia. I've thought about, like, the Sondam daughter having partial heterochromia, like both eyes mostly blue but one eye has like a speck of gray in it.

Like why make a new character if they're going to be just like their parents with no change?

I also like playing around with combinations and how genetics could play into it. Though I don't strictly play by the rules of genetics. if I did, Hotaru would have black hair. And let's face it. Genetics are odd.

But then what about someone like Hikari? She has a lot of traits that look like Kyoko. I've even said as she gets older, she looks even more like Kyoko. How do I do it? Well for one I don't put a braid in her hair and call it done. Hikari's design comes from her personality. She's friendly, bubbly, and optimistic like Makoto. So I put in those details in a subtle manner through clothing, but also I make sure to draw her smile just like I draw Makoto's.

Some characters have also gone through multiple changes. Kazuki looked more like Makoto, Hikari changed like 4 times, Natsumi was a lot more boring on the design side of things. But this was when I wasn't really planning on doing anything with Kazukibou...it didn't even have that name yet. I just called it Next Gen.

But once I had their personalities figured out, it made designing easier. Natsumi being a loud in your face type helped shape the idea of the pink in her hair. Her outfit goes off the idea that she dresses nice like her father, but isn't all business like he is.

Hotaru is a tomboy who likes tinkering with stuff and low self-esteem. So play into that with baggy jeans and Kazuichi's old hat so she hides her face (in reality it's a comfort item).

Yes, Kazuki is a detective, but also leans more into being a teenager, so he's not going to wear his detective garb all the time. Okay fun fact, his vest was taken from a vest I have in real life. Only difference is his is blue and mine is gray. His old design felt plain so I wanted to add more colors.

And it's really trial and error and not being afraid to change something even if you already have a concept set in stone. People change their hair style all the time. People wear different outfits for different phases of life. Some people get glasses, some get contacts, and some even get Lasik.

It's also throwing stuff at a wall and seeing what sticks. Sometimes I look at pictures online and think "I like this and I want to use that in my work in my own way." Most of the time I don't know what I'm doing and sometimes I add things because I just like it.

For example, eventually as the new Naefiri baby grows up, he's gonna have glasses because I just want him to wear glasses.

But I dunno if any of this makes sense. I guess tldr I just want to put more effort into what I do.

Kenjiro Takayanagi of Shizuoka University is considered one of the main pioneers of television, succeeding in displaying the character イ (i) on his Braun tube display in Dec 1926. Over the next few years, he improved the image allowing more detailed images such as human faces.

By 1939, Japan's first television station began broadcasting from NHK (Japan Broadcasting Corporation). After the war, Takayanagi Sensei's work was used as a foundation for other televisions and related industries around the world.

If everyone thought working on a second cell phone after they'd spent months making one was bad, they're not ready to hear about what they'll need to make for television broadcasts. (Senku also never changes...)

SAL 9000 is a reference to HAL 9000, the AI antagonist from Space Odyssey. It stands for "Heuristically programmed ALgorithmic computer", so in this case it might be "Senku programmed" or even "Sai programmed"!

The "NES" (actually the Famicom again, both in the drawing and Sai's comment in the Japanese version) and SAL 9000 don't have the exact same specifications:

SAL 9000 is specialized for math operations and thus has a longer word length (16 bits vs 8) which allows more significant figures in the numbers. They've also got more RAM (SAL has 16 kB while the NES has 2).

The downside is that because they used parametrons, their clock speed (how fast they can do calculations) is slower than if they'd used transistors.

The large amount of ROM they've also got could imply that they have several built-in programs. Xeno's work, perhaps?

CRT screens only reach a maximum diagonal length of around 40 inches (~101 cm), as a larger screen needs a larger tube, and the thickness of the glass increases with size to handle the vacuum without shattering making it very unwieldy with the added weight and thus not worth manufacturing for sale.

Senku's here is obviously much, much bigger. Possibly even world record; the biggest CRT screens made were 61 inches (~152 cm) on the diagonal.

SAL 9000 has both air and water cooling, probably used depending on what's better for individual parts. Normally you only need one or the other.

It'd be good if they could get the carbonated water maker in there and ferment some alcohol faster too using the computer's heat…

SAL 9000 also has 3 phase power like modern power transmission. They're AC power sources, phase shifted by 120° so that at any point in time, their sum is 0. The advantage to this is that you don't need return lines for the current, so you can use half as many cables.

The games shown are inspired by Tetris (featuring Ishigami Village and Roppongi!), Pacman, a combination game of Gyruss and Tempest, then another combination game of Galaga and Asteroids.

The transmission towers can only be headed towards the dam, so we have an approximate direction for where that is! There's a few rivers nearby in modern Tokyo, but over 3,700 years they've probably changed a lot.

Pokémon x Fire Emblem is a thing that has been in my head (somewhere) for a while.

I want to flesh this idea out a bit.

First is which game's mechanics do we choose? Obviously fire emblem, as fire emblem characters in a pokémon setting doesn't work unlike the vise versa.

But how do we adapt pokémon mechanics into it? Besides the polémon being the units of course.

Weapons coulde be attacks and instead of the weapon triangle it's pokémon's type chart, and units have types instead of accounting for the weapon's type. Also assist skills are moves too.

For example: if an Infernape was hit by a water move from Samurott. If Infernape's active move was grass knot it would hit back for super effective damage, but still taking super effective damage.

Two turn moves: negative priority, so it isn't just dogshit.

Held items: units have inventory space of course, but moves do not take up any like spells in three houses.

Consumable items like sitrus berry: activate mid battle. So if the enemy was knocked into sitrus range it would heal up before your follow-up attack like how it would with multistrike moves in pokémon. Speaking of which...

Multistrike moves: attack twice (2 Strikes to 4 and 1 to 2).

Passive Items like leftovers: activate after combat, like how it activates after the turn.

Terrain and weather: terrain acts similar to devine veins. Weather is across the whole field.

Priority: weapons(moves) will have + or - priority up to 7 like in pokémon (no move has +6 or +7 as of gen 9, hopefully it stays this way). Higher priority make you move first even if they initiate combat. Vise versa for lower priority. And positive priority move on a psychic terrain space aren't usable.

Recoil: activates after combat, like fury.

Set up moves: gives bonus in stat(s) for this enemy phase, and the next player phase.

Range: physical=1 special=2 exceptions apply.

Statuses: Paralysis, unit can move half as many spaces. Poison and burn damage after combat for the same 1/8 and 1/16 respectively. Burn and paralysis still halves attack and speed respectively. Sleep and freeze don't exist fuck these statuses. Frostbite, literally just burn but cuts special attack (please add it to the main series gamefreak).

Entry hazards: act like damage tiles, dealing damage after the turn.

Protect: uses unit's turn and protects from being engaged in combat.

Existing things that basically just get a name change:

Sing/dance>could change pokémon's sing, also instruct

Heal>recover

Reconcile>life dew

Physic>heal pulse

Swap>ally switch

Shove, pivot, smite, reposition, and draw back>I have no idea

I've had this character in my head for a while now but I thought I would make her in the sims to bring her to life, so here is Carene Álvarez, the daughter of Simbar!

I absolutely adore her, the traits I gave her are Goofball and Overachiever and she has the Admired Icon aspiration.

Basically, she is not only the most wonderful combination of Simón and Ámbar but also a bit of Luna, because in my future AU or whatever you'd call it, Luna stays around home and helps raise Carene, so her beloved bubbliness and chaos definitely shines through! I thought it would be really sweet to have a character that kind of has a similar fancy style of dress to Ámbar while also being funny and silly, she can be proper and have fun too!

Carene is of course a musician and roller skater like her parents but she struggles trying to do everything - be the rink owner's kid (Ámbar owns a couple of Jam & Roller rinks in my AU), be the kid of a famous musician, be top of her class etc, essentially trying to live up to the success and reputation of her family.

As you can see she definitely has a change here but it's not an emo phase like her mum, it's more of a carefree artist vibe where she lets go of the need to be perfect at everything and embraces her dad's and Luna's approach to her passions and experiments with who she is! She's so cute and a really fun character to think about so maybe I'll write something about her eventually :)

What I did think I might do was basically make a sims story with the next gen (if you don't know what that is, it's basically like a comic except instead of drawings it's screenshots of sims), I'm not sure but I think that's probably the easiest way for me to fully write a future AU (because I never commit to long fics I just can't lmao), so maybe I'll do that!

Her name was chestnut lily and i made her when i was around 8 years old. She was apart of an MLP next gen i had and was the princess of nature, she was best friends with ALL of the mane 6 and was a self insert mary sue in EVERY sense of the word! (Hell, i remember not knowing what colors she should have so i literally just gave her my IRL hair and eye color, i don't have jaundace though)

Oh yea and since i was going through my edgy phase a little TOO early (AKA showing signs of undiagnosed trauma ✌😚) she was really fucked up and did shit like eating meat, murdering breezies and some other stuff i feel like i shouldn't share because it's THAT concerning (all i feel like i can say is that it involves the love poison from the hearts and hooves episode)

Lastly, i just to clarify that this isn't an edit i made back then. I made this a couple hours ago and i just recolored a rainbow dash vector because despite her NOT being my favorite character at the time, chestnut actually WAS just a rainbow dash recolor. I rarely ever drew chestnut and i mostly just imagined stories about her in my head, all of which in the show art style so more often than not she was a recolor because that was the best way my brain could vizualize her (i remember trying to draw out her design a couple times but they never seemed to stick, hell one of her designs had her with maka's pigtails from soul eater because my sister was obsessed with that anime at the time lol)

Hi meelu!! I’ve been alright, just very inactive because of busy busy life stuff- but I saw this pop up and I wanna answer dis cuz I luv u my moot!

Alrighty anyway OC QUESTIONS MY FAVORITE!!

1. Favorite oc: my favorite oc out of all of them? Uhhhh good god- I’m gonna say my favorite is my very first oc, C.J., because she was a very big part of my early art journey. And also she was very cringy and I love her for it.

2. First oc: whoops I answered this- it was C.J.! She was a generic fox girl I made when I was a very itty bitty kid.

3. How many ocs: don’t judge me here- from what I counted just now it’s 56. There could be more that I’m forgetting, so it’s pretty iffy. But I do remember that the number got up to 60 at some point.

4. Have you kept all your ocs since the beginning: Despite how many I have, it’ll be a surprise to hear that I have actually retired a bunch. And by a punch I mean probably over 15. This does include C.J. And her band but only because I felt like I wasn’t using her enough and she had done her part for me.

5. Are any of your ocs based on a show or book: HELL YEAH! God, dude there’s a lot. Well- I say a lot but it’s not 56 a lot- anyway-

I made warrior cat ocs, like anyone, but those were retired. I based a series I have, Remnant, off of magic girl shows but it’s too far from any of them to be directly from those media. There’s The Owl House, which was several ocs I never continued using (and I’m sad I never did), there was a Brand New Animal oc I scrapped, and of course there are more that didn’t leave the sketch phase.

I guess you could count fnaf, but that’s a given.

I also had some Helluva Boss ocs that I have sketches for and even started a comic for- but when I say a comic I mean half a page was finished and I lost motivation.

Good lord I just remembered I had a whole mlp next gen. So I made a crap ton of mlp ocs- anyway-

But then you delve into two of my favorite shows and you go down a rabbit hole of history I’m not going into- which is My Hero Academia and Tmnt. I’m saying Tmnt in general because I’ve put my ocs into several shows in the franchise. Tmnt has ocs I’ve mentioned before on this blog and MHA has seven ocs of mine, that’s Jejeru, Kami, Kai, Kianami, Marikaida, and Chinatsu. I’ve fallen out of the fandom but I might use them in future, who knows!

6. What is the species of a majority of your ocs: Okay. So. This question is very hard to explain because I delve into some WACK species genetics with my ocs- Remnant is literally based on splicing genetics. But if we are being honest, most of them either started out or were, at the beginning of their story, human. So I’m gonna go with human. The second place runner is definitely an animal crossed with a human though because those are just fun.

7. Are any of your ocs an original species: Yes, actually! I’ve got several. Not that they have names or official species types or backstories or anything, but they sure are there. I’m gonna describe random characters I’ve put together with no specific species in mind.

Lufoa, an oc I did a ramble on a while ago, is not crossed with any known animal. That’s actually part of her story, but I haven’t worked it in yet. Another I could count is Artemis, but I don’t know exactly what she is- I haven’t explained it yet. There’s also my oc Alice, (NOT A SELF INSERT) who’s some kind of demon. I dunno what kind but she’s also there.

I’m gonna be skipping 8 and 9 because I’m running very low on the creative juice and haven’t drawn or written for fun in a WHILE and just don’t have any motivation for it- I’m so sorry abt it but I’ll answer the rest gladly!

10. Are any of your ocs part of a story: Quite a few of them are, actually! The one’s based on tv shows and books are obviously apart of one, but I’ve got a few I’ve made up on my own. There’s Remnant, the big magical girl-ish show series about teens participating in a high grade school and also accepting genetics testing to be apart of the military (main character is not aware of this second part in the slightest, woOooOoo plot~). I’ve got Midnight Misteps, which is a similar concept but it’s the apocalypse and new species and monsters and cryptdids roam around while our main cast tries to rebuild society again. I have Vivian and Fin, the two characters I don’t have a series name for yet where Viv meets a demon through accidental circumstances but turns out it’s not accidental and she’s been kidnapped by literal Hell but she doesn’t know for a majority of her time down there. And then you’ve got Camila, the rich pink and proper girl who meets secret agent Thomas under the impression he’s just a grouchy guy and then gets roped into a big gang conspiracy in her town and has to avoid these dangers with her new cop buddy all while in heels.

So yeah I’m doing great with work in progress projects

11. Do you have any twin ocs: yes! I’ve got one set, and they’re fnaf ocs, if you can imagine it. I reworked a sister location oc around a few months ago and doubled her into two people! That’s Frankie and Danny, the sweetheart engineers! One of them isn’t a sweetheart, but yadda yadda, plot and story stuff- I’m movin’ on!

12. Are any of your ocs siblings: oh. My. God. Yes. It would be very hard for me to pick them all out and name them, but let’s just say yes. Yes, there are many. I’ve got one set of sextuplets in there somewhere-

13. What is the gender of most of your ocs: Female. It’s so female it’s unfair. I’ve been getting better at this, but I still prefer drawing women over men and I have no idea why?? It’s nothing negative or anything- I just think I started drawing girls and just kept drawing girls and completely missed the boat I had to jump onto to draw guys anatomy correctly. But I’m getting better!

15. Would you ever give up any of your ocs: Okay I’m gonna assume this is talking about giving up an oc to another person- like an adopt situation- and uh no. I don’t think I would be able to do that just because I have emotional connections to literally all of them. I love them too much to just hand over their birth certificate, y’know?

16. Who is your oldest oc (age wise): oh hah. Okay, so I’m inclined to say C.J., because I ended her story with a cute little story of her growing old with her partner in a little cottage in the countryside- but! I’m gonna give this one to Paula Fidreas, a Remnant oc, because she is quite literally in her 50’s as of the start of the story. In the simplest terms, she’s a PE teacher.

17. Have you ever roleplayed as your ocs: Yes! C.J. Was actually made from a role play! And I think I’ve role played as Camila before, but that memory is a bit fuzzy.

18. How many of your ocs were adopted from someone else: None of em’! They’re mah babies, tried and true.

19. Who is your least favorite oc: I don’t count her in my oc count but Adelaide’s adoptive mom is definitely my least favorite. As a character she has a purpose in the story but I would never use her again or draw her in detail. I don’t know, she’s just there for character development at the moment.

20. Which oc has changed the most since you made them: Vivian. Definitely Vivian. Not just because she’s the oldest of I still use, but she’s also went from a brown haired girl with zero personality and a boyfriend to a troubled teenager who is too weird and different to have friends so she seeks out companionship in the land of the dead.

21. Who is your newest oc: I mentioned them earlier and this totally breaks the abruptness of me mentioning them once out of nowhere, but the sextuplets are my newest ocs. Out of all of them, Orion is the newest because I came up with his concept first.

22. Have you ever cosplayed your own ocs: Alas, I’ve never had the determination nor the money nor the confidence to do such a thing, BUT I ALMOST DID. When I was little I almost cosplayed C.J. Because I had no other ideas for a halloween costume. I didn’t end up doing it because I chickened out. Kinda wish I did though..

23. Which oc has effected you the most as you’ve grown with them: I’m gonna give this one to Alice, actually. She’s the basis of my online persona and username, if you couldn’t tell- and she was with me through quarantine. That was a joke, but no really, she consumed my art that last year.

24. Have you gotten cosplayers of your ocs: No, lol- I don’t know near enough people or anyone who would do it. And if anyone did do it, I would be dead upon seeing or hearing it because OH MY GOD?? You thought my art was good enough to put time and money into a COSPLAY?? THANK YOU???? We’re getting married. Put on the ring.

25. Do you have any ocs you haven’t used in a long time: y e a h… I haven’t ever mentioned Pepper here. She’s uh…okay- imagine Entrapta from She-ra but ten times worse and no moral code. Evil scientist. That’s all I have to say here.

A couple of very Dashing kids. Initially, I planned for Soarin to be their father but then I shifted from mainly shipping Soarindash to Thunderdash. Part of it’s cuz I thought it’d be interesting to combine Dashie and Thunderlane’s colors (rainbow mane and black coat? sounds badass), another part’s cuz Dashie’s a character I wanted to try a less popular/mainstream ship with. But then I also felt it’d be cute for them to have a friends to lovers thing going on. So here’re the results of that friends to lovers romance, Thunder Blaze (upper left) and Cloud Buster (lower right)! CB’s one of my next gen pones who had an old design…not that he changed much, lol (I just adjusted his colors).

Thunder Blaze was partially named after her maternal great-uncle, Rainbow Blaze, since he’s Dash’s favorite uncle.

Cloud Buster has a condition wherein he sheds a lot of feathers, hence his expression in the drawing. Thankfully, it doesn’t look like he’ll go completely bald, but he still leaves a lot of stray feathers. He’s basically like a pug, lol.

They have that kind of relationship where they bicker, tease, and annoy each other a lot. So basically they’re like the typical siblings. While they do love each other, they’re hesitant and embarrassed to admit it, much less say it out loud.

Between the two of them, Thunder Blaze has a longer wingspan, something she likes to lord over her younger brother. It’s this fact that’s one of Cloud Buster’s sore spots.

Dinky Hooves was Cloud Buster’s first crush. She had been introduced to him when Thunderlane bumped into his friend Derpy while the two of them were spending a day out with one of their kids. Cloud Buster would swear up and down that it was love at first sight when he saw the purple unicorn.

Neither of them were really interested in joining the Wonderbolts, much to Dash’s exasperation. Thunder Blaze did decide to try out the entrance tests but saw that it wasn’t truly her calling, so she opted out of it, while Cloud Buster didn’t really try due to lack of interest and being much lazier compared to his sister. It took lots of heart-to-heart talking, mostly from her husband, but Dash eventually relented and accepted that they wanted to follow their own paths.

For the most part, Cloud Buster’s pretty chill and laidback…until you insult him or his friends and/or family, then he gets really defensive. If it’s his flying skills that are insulted/criticized, he gets outright competitive.

Cloud Buster’s quite fond of his uncle Rumble and until now, he’s his #1 fan. He’s been his most avid supporter since day one and encouraged him to keep trying for the Wonderbolts despite his personal disinterest in them. Normally, he wouldn’t really watch any of their performances, but a show where Rumble participates is the sole exception to this.

Thunder Blaze is allergic to peanuts, a fact that she’s embarrassed about. She’s tried multiple times to “build up tolerance” but all of these attempts have landed her in the hospital. Really, the only thing stopping her from trying once again is her mother telling her that one more peanut stunt and she’s sending her to Tartarus.

In her pre-teen years, Thunder Blaze had an emo/goth/punk phase, much to Thunderlane’s exasperation and Dash’s confusion. During this phase, she would dye her mane black and red, wear lots of (sticker) tattooes, play off-key on a bass guitar and write (cringey) poems and songs. Pictures of herself during this phase are Cloud Buster’s leverage against her when he needs a favor from her.

Fic: Puppeteers

Merry Digimon Secret Santa 2022, @marril96! Hope you don’t mind a slightly sinister Archnemon from 02 manipulating stuff behind the scenes. Happy Holidays!

Title: Puppeteers Words: 1000-1500 Rating: K/Gen Characters: Archnemon (main), Mummymon, Oikawa, Digimon Kaiser, Wormmon. Pairing: slight Archnemon/Mummymon Read on ff.net or below

Archnemon lay in a bath set on top of a cliff.  Her main body was partially submerged, while her six legs clung around the sides.  Her chest pressed against the edge of the tub, chin resting on her arms, as she surveyed the canopy of trees below.  Dark Towers stuck out from the dense forest, creating a chaotic patchwork as far as the eye could see.  She didn’t bother to fight the smile that spread across her face. Their plan was coming along quite nicely.

A pinch on her shoulder in just the wrong place wiped away her smile almost immediately.  She glanced behind her, catching her companions eye.

“Are you trying to pull my skin off?” she sneered, relaxed mood gone in an instant.  

“Of course not, my beloved.” Mummymon placed his hands along her back, rubbing so gently she could barely feel his touch.  “Is that better?”

Archnemon, who had already rested her chin back onto her arms in the meantime, shrugged. “I might be able to tell you if I knew what you were doing.”

Mummymon pressed his hands more firmly on Archnemon’s back, and slowly she found herself relaxing again as he massaged her shoulders.  

The Dark Towers were becoming numerous enough she doubted the Kaiser would notice if one went missing. After all, those Chosen brats were running around knocking down towers left and right.  It seemed wise to plan out the next phase of their plan in case the Kaiser’s actions were not enough.  Something to dispose of the Chosen Children and their partners permanently would be ideal, but that carried the risk of revealing themselves.

A phone rang to the side and Archnemon couldn’t help the flinch of annoyance she felt at the sound, or maybe her anger was aimed towards the person she knew would be on the other end.  Unfortunately, rather than taking her queue of ignoring the incessant noise, Mummymon was foolish enough to stop his massage and pressed a button to receive the call.

“Hello sir, isn’t it a fine day,” he began, but was cut off by an angry buzzing on the other end. Archnemon sighed as Mummymon fumbled. “Of course, sir! Yes, she’s right here with me.”

Archnemon lifted herself out of the bathtub, and daintily shook off some of the excess water.  By the time her feet touched the ground she had shifted into her human-looking form.  With a dirty look at Mummymon, she snatched away the phone and turned away from her partner to face the Dark-Tower-strewn forest.

“Did you need something,” she asked, unable to keep the contempt out of her voice as she leaned against the bathtub’s rim.

“I expected you to report in yesterday, or should I assume your lack of communication is due to a similar dearth of progress?” Archnemon could almost picture Oikawa’s frown on the other end of the line.

“Sir, we have made more progress in the last couple of months than the previous years,” she replied, trying to be the voice of reason.  “That the Digital World asked for help from the Chosen Children is proof it feels sufficiently threatened.  The barrier between the worlds is weakening.”

“Then help Ichijouji speed it along.”

Archnemon kept her voice cool to counter Oikawa’s frustration.  “We agreed it was best for the boy to think he was in control, didn’t we? No need to draw attention to our operation with the Chosen Children snooping about.”

“I don’t want them interfering in our plans any longer,” came the biting reply.  “Their power is growing, and who knows how long it will be before the other digimon regain their Perfect forms?  Give the Kaiser what he needs to destroy them once and for all, but keep it discreet.  As you say, the Chosen’s attention needs to be completely on the Kaiser.”

Archnemon gripped the phone tightly, forcing a smile into her voice. “As you wish.”

She ended the call and chucked the phone at Mummymon’s head.  Unfortunately, the idiot had good enough reflexes to catch it.  A shame, she thought, it probably would’ve shattered against his thick skull.

“Everything all right, my dear?”

“He’s growing impatient.” She reached up and rubbed at a lock of her hair.

Ken Ichijouji had made the decision himself to retreat to the Digital World when the Chosen Children discovered his identity.  It had sped up their plans considerably, but the Chosen Children’s minor victories were enough to slow their progress again.  Plus, Oikawa was right to be wary of their continually growing power.  The Kaiser needed a stronger ally to counter their numbers.

Archnemon smiled, letting her hair fall back in place.  “I’m going to pay our Kaiser a little visit.”

It was simple enough to slip into the Kaiser’s base.  In fact, finding its latest location was normally the greatest challenge, but Archnemon could predict the boy’s actions well enough.  The mindless digimon controlled by the dark rings paid her little notice as she waltzed through the entrance in her human form, subtly moving the cameras to give her the narrowest of blind spots to walk through.  No need to raise the Kaiser’s suspicions.

In the dark corridors, Archnemon shifted her form and scuttled up the walls as the cameras became more numerous.  She found the Kaiser in his seat staring at a wall of screens, his pale face illuminated only by the blue light.  

“Ken, it’s late. Maybe you should get some sleep?”

The boy continued to stare at the screens that displayed a monstrous-looking creature, as if he hadn’t heard anything from his partner digimon.

“Ken,” the pathetic worm asked again, poking at the Kaiser’s leg for his attention.

“What?” The sharp question echoed into the hallways.

The little digimon flinched back, but repeated himself. “It’s getting late.”

Ken Ichijouji seemed to startle as he noticed the time, but quickly recovered.  

“Where are the Chosen Children?  Have they given up and gone home?”

His partner seemed to shrink a little.  “They appear to be spending the night.”

“Oh?” The Kaiser sat back in his chair, perhaps contemplating whether to send an army to ambush them.

However, Archnemon watched as his attention went back to the digimon on the screen and he stood from his chair, apparently dismissing the thought with a wave of his hand.

“I’m going to bed. Make sure to clean up.”

The Kaiser disappeared from the room, his cape billowing behind him.  Archnemon slowly shifted in the shadows, careful to keep away from the glare emanating from the screens.  Wormmon busied himself pulling out a duster and cleaning the surfaces in the room, but his eyes kept shifting back to the hideous creature on the screen. Archnemon could smell his fear even without the tell-tale quiver in his legs when he looked at it too long.  

Archnemon bided her time until Wormmon finally moved to turn off the screen.  Pulling out her flute, she played a haunting melody, stopping the tiny insect digimon in his tracks.  Under her influence, the Child digimon put away his cleaning equipment and made his way down the corridor in the direction his master departed, ignoring the computer completely. By the time Archnemon’s melody finished he would be near the Kaiser’s sleeping quarters, unable to remember how he’d gotten there, but unphased enough to assume he had done his duty.

Archnemon put away her instrument and lowered herself to the ground, back in her human form as she stared at the creature on the screen.  The Kaiser had copied data from other digimon to give it form, but it still lacked the spark that would bring the creature to life.  A shudder made its way up Archnemon’s spine.

They were nothing alike. Oikawa had given a piece of himself to create her and Mummymon, trusting them to carry out his will.  The Kaiser was attempting to play God, creating life without a thought to his responsibility afterwards.  Much like Frankenstein, his hubris would likely become his downfall eventually.  

However until that time arrived, Archnemon could take advantage.  Remembering an ocean, a call to darkness, she tapped out a new course for the base.  With one last look at the creature, Archnemon locked the computer screen and left the room as quietly as she had entered.  

Mummymon was waiting for her with the jeep running outside the base when she gracefully jumped from the entrance into the passenger seat.  He took off without a word, correctly deducing the need for silence until they were completely clear of the Kaiser’s base.  Archnemon watched the base gradually disappear from the side-view mirror, a smirk playing on her lips.

name ; theo vesh species ; second-gen awoken, earthborn pronouns ; he/him/his gender ; trans man sexuality ; gay class/subclass ; icecracker titan ghost: strange (he/him)

phys. description ; 4'10 1/2" with dark, purple-blue skin covered in white freckles. hair is moon-white and curled, cut short and shaved into an undercut. wears gold facial and ear piercings (pictured). theo is of a muscular build typical for a titan despite his short stature, but he tends to hold on to fat around his hips and thighs. out of armor, he dresses in darker, "alt"-style street clothes. his eyes have black sceleras, and his irises/pupils resemble a pair of moons that change phase alongside the actual moon when he's on earth.

light abilities ; while theo is technically an arc-based striker titan, his arc light manifests by drawing energy in rather than expelling energy out, resulting in the creation of ice crystals and snow. this similar in ways to stasis in appearance, but his light does not form perfect crystals in the way stasis does. while not technically light abilities, theo has inherited an unrefined precognitive ability that only activates in his dreams from his awoken heritage. he is not trained on how to use it and is often very bad at interpreting and utilizing these dreams -- they really only serve to freak him out.

personality ; theo deals with heavy anxieties, a phobia towards hive, and trauma from his time in the arcology. he loves fiercely and loudly, especially people within what he considers his family, and he looks up to his twin sister like she is the sun. while he can be petty, and easy to anger, he is of the ultimate belief that mutual cooperation and support of one another is the only way to beat back the darkness, and so he tries his hand at altruism and diplomacy whenever possible - which is why his views towards the eliksni and cabal tend to be more favorable than those other guardians might have.

brief history ; theo was rezzed in the arcology on titan two hours before the start of the Red War. for the next year, he was trapped, scrabbling lightless through the dark with only his ghost, strange, for company. when the traveler was freed and his light was returned to him in an explosive burst of arc he was finally found and extracted, living and learning under sloane until another titan was able to bring him to the last city, where he re-found and reunited with his twin sister, julia.

theo's time in the arcology left him skittish and fearful, especially in regards to hive. he still wakes up panicking, and has a hard time being around hive nests.

generally, i say theo was a part of the events of shadowkeep, witch queen, and the vow of the disciple raid, as well as season of the dawn with his twin sister julia, and acted as a liaison to the eliksni quarter in season of the splicer. he is also the one who cleansed the thorn into lumina, which acts as his signature weapon.

@lepiidopterophobia is his main savathun, and orchestrated a lot of events in the arcology specifically aimed at honing him into a stronger lightbearer; despite his protests, she sees him as one of her brood. i will not be doing a similar relationship dynamic with other savathuns.
