TW: Advanced warning, the following content is a resume of everything that this “youtuber” has done. I usually don’t bring this type of stuff in my blog, but I have to spread awareness about it. I won’t get into details because of how disgusting and disturbing this thing is.
If you are able to hear this type of content, I recommend you watch this video (yes it is a repost, I couldn’t find the original by a possible strick made by Burned Show).
I don’t know this YouTuber called Mudahar (the creator of the video addressing the situation), so if he has done anything bad, I apologize I am coming from another channel, whose the creator is a Brazilian and since not all my public will understand nor speaks Brazilian, it is the best video I could find to expose this piece of shit.
Resume: The burned show is an Mexican “content creator”, who from far I’ve known had been on the YouTube with 3 different channels with little success. According to him, he is an “g0r3 reactor” and makes video of his reactions towards it.
Tumblr media
This is shown in his TikTok. His YouTube channel had its focus on watching videos of… Well, I really don’t want to say it. But, do imagine possible disgusting content and behavior, with all his videos having a poor censoring and etc. I don’t want this post of awareness to get down. So, please don’t search it up. Watch the video, and you will automatically understand what I meant by it.
Burned Show channel has already fell, but his TikTok account still up, differently from his YouTube channel, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he came back to the platform with another channel, since he does that quite a lot.
On the past when he was called out the YouTube channel SomeOrdinaryGamers, also known as the creator: Mudahar. He has made fun of the situation. Not just that at the end of EVERY VIDEO he did a “little silly dance” after watching these disgusting contents, that I thought you would only find on the D4rk W3b.
THAT, without counting the lives where he would make a character and pretend to have Down Syndrome awhile mocking it.
Honestly, I will forever be disgusted by this.
Do NOT let this story die. We need justice. He has gotten away from this type of things and it’s unethical and unacceptable.
If you are sensitive to this type of content, just go to his TikTok, REPORT HIM and BLOCK HIM. I didn’t watched ANY of his videos, I don’t want to do that, but, there’s proof to hold against him, so… You know. I am utterly disgusted and I’ve just watched the Brazilian video, posted 2 days ago. I had to take my action, so at least I can sleep at , because after this? I swear to God, I loose faith each time more on us as human beings.

I haven't done lists in a while and there's a lot pilling up just this week so it's time to bring it back.
1. I'm revisting Old Hollywood again now that I've watched most of the films nominated for Oscar this year. The Be Kind Rewind youtube channel has been sort of the trigger for going back to the past and for that I have to thank @shimako for the recommendation 🩷 I've watched the 2 hour and a half video essays on the Valley of The Dolls and the behind the scenes story is far more interesting that the film itself.
Tumblr media
Not to say that the themes addressed in the film wouldn't be, like disillusionment in Hollywood, personal grievances, what it means to be an actress and especially not a really succesful one. It reminded me of Didion's Play It As It Lays (which I think it's a better piece of literature although the film adaption seems to have turned into a failure?)
2. Anyway, that made me go down the rabbit hole and watch other essays on Ruth Gordon (amazing woman) and Katharine Hepburn.
3 . Speaking of Hepburn, I realized yesterday that I've only seen her paired on screen with Cary Grant and not with Spencer Tracy (I know!). So I rectified that mistake and I watched Adam's Rib (George Cukor, 1949) and I finally understood what all the fuss was about and I have some sort of theory. Grant and Hepburn together are like this very performative version of a couple in which the constant bickering takes center stage, but even when they do get together, it lacks something. A bit of authenticity. But with the Hepburn-Tracy duo, you can almost feel it. It's right there in the small, natural gestures. Instant chemistry and love. They work so well together. I guess the off screen affair of 26 years helped that as well.
Tumblr media
3. I love Mommy Dearest and Faye Dunaway as Joan Crawford. The screaming, the crying, the makeup, "No wire hangers!". Poor baby Christina. It's a shame though that Faye Dunaway distanced herself from it because of how "bad" it turned out, but I understand why she felt she had to do it.
But I also couldn't help but think of DeNiro in Cape Fear and his own campy performance in a very 90s ridiculous film that allowed Scorsese to try his hand at that type of thriller. DeNiro's career didn't suffer because of it, as opposed to Dunaway's version of camp, which I prefer actually. It may have been hated at that time, but Mommie Dearest is a cult classic.
Tumblr media
*Bonus: Currently listening to another You Must Remember This podcast series. It's Gossip Girls: Louella Parsons and Hedda Hopper, aka the famous old Hollywood gossip columnists.
Now, for some ridiculous internet & showbiz drama:
4. People going conspiracy mode over Kate Middleton? Some of us lived months without any sign from Jimin. They could learn from that. But love the memes.
5. I feel sorry for those kids in Glasgow. They really experienced the effects of AI used by assholes who wanted to make some money. The lady in green hair has been all over twitter and whilst funny for us, it is shitty to be in her shoes. The Unknown! 🤦‍♀️
6. Who was an ass to Rebecca Ferguson on set? The consensus is that Jake Gyllenhaal was the culprit and I wouldn't be surprised. But it needs more investigating.
7. Over in K-Pop Land Karina gets a boyfriend, her fans are devasted and Koreaboo is pumping "articles" by the minute. What else is new?
8. Stans of all types are stanning and fighting. One day 🐥 girlies, the next day 🐰 girlies and all the other crazies all week long, no break. I do read the stuff in my inbox, but I'm really not in a mood to comment on every shitty thing that happens so often. I know that once I do it, then I just invite more and it's just pointless. There's no actual JM and JK which is frustrating enough and no travel show on the horizon and it's just too bleak at this point.
Tumblr media
We're waiting, clock is ticking. At least release a travel show as a summer content, ok?
9. I did see that Billboard kpop 100 top. Yeah, I don't understand the logic of including individual artists if they haven't charted on their own. Don't these people have editors to point out the flaws in the listicles? It's just dumb.

#GirlTalk: 10 Must-Watch Video Essays for Women on the Internet
With the popularization of short-form video platforms like TikTok and Instagram Reels, Youtube and other networks that once held some of the top spots on the App Store have seen a significant decrease in usage, or at the very least a cultural shift of how people prefer to consume video media. It appears that younger generations no longer have a large enough of attention span to watch YouTube videos anymore. They would rather be entertained by hundreds of one minute or less videos, covering thousands of different relevant topics, than sit down and pay attention to one 20-minute-long video that only covers one. Or perhaps I am making something that I personally relate to a generational problem so I do not feel bad about not being able to pay attention to anything for longer than two minutes maximum. Either way, I have had a recent fixation with a type of video media that makes me feel studious, intelligent and incredibly capable of paying attention, and that fixation is the YouTube trend of “Video Essays.”
As I do with most of my writing, I feel the responsibility of bringing awareness to how women and girls relate to social issues and current events, so I have curated a list of videos essays that revolve around a wide range of topics and affairs, but focus on them through a female or feminine perspective. At the end of the day, I am a girl’s girl. While these 10 videos focus on the interests and issues of women, I hold firmly the belief that the collection I have personally curated below focuses on topics that have the potential to be useful or even interesting to all college-aged people, despite being directly related to women or femininity.
10 Must-Watch Video Essays for Women on the Internet:
One last thing before we get into it: these videos contain mature topics, language and themes. I do not recommend watching them if you are uncomfortable with things like curse words or serious and potentially triggering topics.
1.The Crime of Being Basic, The Illusion of Being Unique (Shanspeare)
youtube
Shanspeare in this video addresses the pitfalls of being basic and liking stereotypically “average” things, in a theatrical and captivating way. They use personal experiences and pop culture references as examples to discuss the topic of why there seems to be a right way to enjoy things, as well as a wrong way, and how society puts pressure on young people to be “special.” I would recommend this video essay to anyone who has ever felt insecure about liking popular things, because as Shanspeare brings up, there is nothing wrong with popular culture, because at the end of the day, those things are popular for a reason.
2. teenagers don’t exist anymore (youth culture and third spaces) (Madisyn Brown)
youtube
This video essay by Madisyn Brown is a discussion of teenagers’ latest trends regarding how they dress, as well as how they choose to spend their time and socialize with each other. With significant references to how teenagers have been viewed in the past, this video also brings up the argument of if teenagersare even necessary today, and if they are, why we should be looking at the behavioral differences between them and previous generations. Madisyn’s video provides the feeling of being in a conversation with an older sister, while also confronting how social media has changed the way teenagers feel about themselves and the world around them.
3. who is “that girl”? ??‍ (a study of style) (ModernGurlz)
youtube
One video from a series of style and aesthetic studies from the ModernGurlz channel, this essay is an easy, quick watch (or listen) to understand the specific aesthetic of being “that girl,” or someone who seems to have their whole life together, practicing healthy choices and promoting self-improvement. While this video has a positive tone, it also references the critiques of this lifestyle and how it can inherently promote unhealthy relationships with food as well as how it may be unrealistic. If you are interested in topics surrounding conversations about food choices and privilege, this video is for you.
4. tiktok is bad for women, actually (Jordan Theresa)
youtube
With an overwhelming amount of marketed content online revolving around anti-aging products and practices, it can feel stressful and frustrating to think about how you can prevent signs of aging on your own body. Jordan Theresa addresses this shared experience of many women, especially how TikTok’s structure can work against one’s mental health, promoting the economic market of women’s insecurities. With a scientific focus on TikTok’s algorithm, Jordan explores this topic in a way that makes her audience feel that she cares about the topics being discussed, creating a captivating viewing experience for watchers.
5. Lady Bird, Gilmore Girls, and Coming of Age in Privilege | Video Essay (Maia C)
youtube
If you’re a fan of the TV show “Gilmore Girls” or movies like “Lady Bird,” in which young people are coming into new phases of life, trying to navigate relationships, work, school and other aspects that make up the troublesome existence of a teenager, this video will be of your interest. It is a nice introduction to other ideas involving characters like Rory Gilmore and Lady Bird. The creator, Maia C, references the theme of economic anxiety through a privileged lens, and leaves the audience wanting to hear more about how certain forms of media can isolate themselves from a lot of different groups when their characters and storylines are not widely relatable.
6. the instagram infographic industrial complex (amandamaryanna)
youtube
While this video is a couple years dated having been posted in 2021, the subject matter is still relevant because of how the internet tends and continues to interact with current events. Arguments are presented such as how the trend of using infographics on social media can create an illusion of support and fall into the label of performative activism. Amandamaryanna, as is her YouTube handle, brings up interesting ideas of using activism and these infographics for personal and corporate gain through a woman of color’s perspective, and asks how these actions characterize society.
7. social media is making us speak in code. (Soeun in Seoul)
youtube
Using an academic and informative tone, Soeun in Seoul addresses how separate the real world is from social media, and how uncomfortable it can be to verbalize social media references to one’s real-world friends who might not understand what they mean. This video also has a large focus on Jean Boudrillard’s ideas and exposes viewers to his book “Simulacra and Simulation,” connecting it to how his philosophical ideas can be translated into modern social media spaces. While it can be hard to follow at points, I still believe it is interesting enough to consider in terms of how society communicates within online spaces.
8. teen TV & the extinction of the tween (film fatales)
youtube
Film fatales confronts the non-existent gap between children’s TV and young adult TV, or in other terms, how there is almost nothing in between “Mickey Mouse” and “Euphoria” for older children to consume. Addressing themes of sexualization of teenagers and how visual media misrepresents what teenagers look like and how they behave, I found this video essay to be extremely captivating and interesting, especially with the current popularity of TV shows based around high schoolers being involved in weirdly adult situations.
9. The Crown: an analysis of Conservative Feminism (Alice Cappelle)
youtube
This video gives an interesting insight to Margaret Thatcher’s attitude towards women in reference to “The Crown,” while also touching on issues that involve harmful female stereotypes, such as the belief that women with careers are bad mothers. While this only reaches the surface of how this show represents different and sometimes opposing female ideologies, it is a nice starting point to a discourse surrounding unfamiliar ideas.
10. let’s talk about the rise of ‘-core’ and ‘girl’ aesthetics (Mina Le)
youtube
Last, but certainly not least, I end this list with one of my personal favorite YouTubers: Mina Le. To go off on a slight tangent, I would recommend Mina’s channel to anyone that wants in-depth analyses of current trends and social issues, with the video above giving insight to how subcultures have transformed into higher-quantity and arguably less impactful micro-trends and aesthetics. This video introduces interesting ideas to its audience, such as how these coming and going trends feel inherently marketable, as well as why women specifically take a large role in the existence of these trends.
Furthermore, because I like to make everything that I do more complicated than it has to be, here is my recommendation of arguments against the “video essay,” highlighting reasons why this trend might be completely pointless and, in some cases, harmful (but in a fun, girly-pop way!):
The Problem With ‘Video Essays’ (Elliot Sang)
With all that being said (and if you went and actually watched more than one of the videos, you’re a trooper and I love you) I want to point out some of the arguments against this form of visual media because I think it’s important to look at things from alternate perspectives. None of these creators, to my knowledge, have any real merit or credibility when discussing these topics. Though some of them may have done extensive research and used outside sources to support their opinions, these videos should not be taken as actual academic essays. In a perfect world, these videos would be peer reviewed and, in some cases, organized in a more efficient and cohesive way. However, since this is not a perfect world and we are dealing with one aspect of the ever-changing internet, we must use common sense to decide for ourselves whether to agree or disagree with any form of media we consume. While obviously these videos should not be anyone’s main source of information, I do think there is something to be said for the fact that they are a growing trend, with millions of views between all of them on YouTube, especially in a time where short-form content is king.
I consider taking the time to research specific topics and being brave enough to present your perspective to the world is extremely admirable of these creators, also holding the firm belief that individuals have the responsibility to educate themselves on multiple points of view on culture. These videos are an engaging starting point to branch out of one’s comfort zone and start listening to people of different social, political, and economic groups to really try and understand the world we are living in, and why it is so incredibly complex.

Ok so
I was too scared to post this before, but I think I'm going to do it now:
inspiration to finally post this:
youtube
a channel I watch all the time at the end of the year/when I remember/when it gets recommended to me lol
finally validated my opinions, when I thought I was alone
then someone in the comments mentioned a different channel so I thought i'd check it out:
youtube
and things started making a lot of sense. it's like this one person had the common sense that I could feel was missing from seemingly everyone I interacted with (watch videos) on the internet.
So I watch this:
youtube
after another video, and it's one I'd been meaning to watch a lot sooner, but it's been in my watch later for a long time and I guess it just got buried and I forgot about it lol
I never really check the watch later playlist unless I'm really bored and it's something I remember
(I am 100% a Spooky girl by the way (though for a different- I guess not directly but I have the vibes and those are things that I would do if it wasn't for the fact that I can't for some reason (yes I see the hypocrisy here but trust me on this)) and have been aware of it this whole time and it's also the exact type of person that I really hate and I think the word for it for the general public is "poser") (which is way more accurate to what I am imo)
(but like I get where they're all coming from and hope that they can all move on and get a more happier life where they can commit :> not sure what (face expression in the form of an emoticon/emoji) to put here but oh well )
but anyways, here we go!
(copy and pasted from my notes app) (wrote in the style of a YouTube video (at least at first) bc I am not original or creative but I just wanted to have fun lol) (more like have fun complaining and it was really bothering me and I just had to get it out there somehow) (I legit listened to this song for like 3 days straight until I had memorized all of the lyrics before the song would finally leave my head. :[ ) (again with the face thing, wanted to indicate mildly sad but frustrated not disappointed)
thoughts from today:
(the sentiment is totally taken straight from the comment section of the above videos and her performance with the cake being all messed up on SNL recently)
oliv (sic) is good and bad at the same time, but she’s getting better :)
I got target audience hit so hard like wow
olivia needs to learn to “kill” what she doesn’t like and go all in on being herself, :) it’s already happenin :)
still totally hate her producer by the way, if not specifically for these songs
like Blake put 90's(? idk I forget exactly it's been a while since I went obsessively looking for every single reaction video to her new song to see if anyone out there had the same opinion as me, but more as a way to see what opinon I "should" be having which sounds insane, I know, but I can't/ok couldn't help it and now I realize this is just high school glorified 😔 (ok real last edit so far (haha take that edits later) this was something I only begun to notice starting from Casually Explained's video (found via a hasanabi clip on my recommended who I clicked on bc of QT(he's a podcast host with her and his takes are so bad they're funny but I only know found out (have a better idea of now that I grew up more) they're bad because of other streamers but anyways-) https://youtu.be/MspHbnfEGno?si=KiiMRDYPIc9TK-TF) (here's a link to the original full video: https://youtu.be/l4Ioj4BA6N0?si=gUQ3ZeoyZ3DcGXLy) and then this one https://youtu.be/pII6mLdNawk?si=EWSF_g8Pl0fLOXHG and finally make the connection here myself lol)) but anyways put those drums on the track as a backing and it sounded SO MUCH BETTER than the original
so like yeah she definitely has the spirit, she just needs to talk to the right people, trust and learn from them, and have more people say "no" to her.
like seriously, and then she'll be really good!
like I mean it, her tracks are SO CLOSE to being really good, and I can see the idea behind them, that it makes me a little mad
all it needs is just a little creativity, or at least someone who really knows what they are doing and how to best implement it
like people think the production on the 1989 vault tracks left something to be desired and started making their own mixes, and I think that's what people should do with some of olivia rodrigo's music too! ok but like pretty isn't pretty was pretty much perfect so don't mess with that one lol
and also why I think the live performances sometimes sound so much better than the recorded version lol
y'know what? that could be a solution right there!
If you're bad at mixing, just do it live! Then it's all better anyways lol
haha ok time to let you guys see what I wrote when this song came out lol
like I really didn't want to be "that person" who complained about the thing that every teenager loves right now, but now I see that my complaints were valid because it's just a matter of opinion, and it's not the reason I was so mad lol (ok maybe like 0.01% but like I've been through this before and didn't hate the thing that was popular, maybe I was jealous? idk but still my complaints were mostly not for that reason, let's say lol (was looking for 😥 but couldn't find it lol - me from later, still editing this by only adding comments as I think the original should be preserved as much as possible bc it's interesting to look back at ¯\_(ツ)_/¯) 😓😢😭💀👍🙂🐛✨ (man your recently used emojis really tell you a lot about your personality huh))
ok but anyways
here we go lol
the time is from when it was last edited on the notes app
August 3, 2023 at 18:10
hi
hey guys! So, today we’re going to be talking about 4 time Grammy winning musician Olivia Rodrigo’s latest hit single, vampire. This song reached number #1 on the Billboard hot 100 last week, and that’s almost to be expected of an artist like her. It also took YouTube by storm, (since it was sponsored, in part, haha, though I doubt it wouldn’t have blown up anyways) and I’m pretty sure it’s really popular on TikTok as well. (though I wouldn’t know, because I spend all of my time on YouTube shorts instead, lol) Ok now, personally, I liked her last album Sour, so I was excited to see what new song she came up with next! So, curious to see what it was, I checked it out on the trending page and… suffice to say, I was a little disappointed. I mean, it had such good parts, and musically, it was nice and I could tell what she was trying to do, but I mean, lyrically, I just felt like it could be better. Like, I’ve heard Taylor Swift songs in the past, and even if you don’t like her style, you’ve gotta admit she’s really good at writing lyrics. Not only does she convey her thought with such vivid imagery and a poetic stricture, but the words sound really nice to listen to as well. I’m not an English major, so I can’t go into too much depth there, but I’m sure there’s a lot of videos out there that can explain what I mean here. And as a personal anecdote, my 7th grade class was given her lyrics to Red to analyze for an assignment lol. So I mean, there’s one frame of reference for you guys, haha. But getting back to Vampire, her lyrics on there just don’t feel the same. I know they aren’t supposed to, but in its place they should adopt her own style. But to me, it just feels a bit… idk childish? I know I’m not that much older than her, but still. (Turns out she was 19 when she wrote this, which makes so much sense now, and that’s basically still a kid lol.) Taylor and Demi Lovato have both written great lyrics when they were both around her age. But, Taylor is kind of a lyrical poet, and Demi probably had a lot of help, since I looked on the Genius page and it said the song I want to compare later was cowritten by Nikki Williams, who was 25 at the time. So it’s a bit unfair to compare, but we’ll see.
Musically, I maybe I just don’t get pop opera, but I think the transition from piano to full on pop song is cool, but feels a bit misplaced. Like, it sounds like a good idea in concept, but I don’t know if it translated well. (as maybe she or the producer might have hoped.) But aside from that, maybe it’s just me but I think she liked the bridge-like(? idk just guessing here based off of my own feeling) chorus a bit too much, that she ended up relying on it to make the song great. Don’t get me wrong— musically, it’s a great part, and she should definitely be proud of herself for coming up with it as she did, but do you really have to repeat it 3 times?? I can definitely say that that it’s the key defining highlight of the song, but when you repeat it so much, it sounds tiring and overused. Imo People don’t care if you repeat the chorus a lot, because the chorus is almost meant to be repeated, but I really think that it sounds a bit too same when it’s repeated in this context. The beginning too, now that I mention it. But hey, this part could just be my own personal preference, and that’s valid too, I guess, since it’s just my opinion lol.
And also, I heard someone say that the instrumental at the end left them wanting more, and I agree that it felt like it ended abruptly, and either it should have ended sooner, or maybe padded out a bit more? idk, but the ending just felt abrupt.
But I do have to say, I really liked the bridge part, and the rest of the song after. I just wish the whole song was good! I mean, imo they should have gone harder on the dramatic angle of it all, like maybe have her in black and white with red lipstick at the piano or something. Extend the craziness of her mind, even if she wasn’t? I don’t know haha, I don’t relate to the song, so this again this is probably just a personal preference. (lol Otto)
Especially the “girls your age know better” part was fire!!!! :)
Also, it sounds kind of like her previous songs, but that’s not really anything to worry about imo, because all artists are a bit privy to that, she said that’s what she was going for, in which case she nailed the “same but kinda different” kind of thing, and it’s not a bad thing imo.
But, I guess, now it’s time to look at the ;lyrics. (warning, I think some of it is childish and a bit cringe. if not, just hoping it could be better :(. )
Now, I know that writing good lyrics really doesn’t have to do with age, but more about your own maturity, and your maturity as a writer. I know it’s a bit unfair to compare as I made those comparisons before, but if you look into the lyrics a bit, hopefully you’ll start to see what I mean.
without further ado, here we go…
I ʜᴀᴛᴇ ᴛᴏ ɢɪᴠᴇ ᴛʜᴇ sᴀᴛɪsғᴀᴄᴛɪᴏɴ Asᴋɪɴɢ, “Hᴏᴡ ʏᴏᴜ’ʀᴇ ᴅᴏɪɴɢ ɴᴏᴡ?” “Hᴏᴡ’s ᴛʜᴇ ᴄᴀsᴛʟᴇ ʙᴜɪʟᴛ ᴏғғ ᴘᴇᴏᴘʟᴇ ʏᴏᴜ ᴘʀᴇᴛᴇɴᴅ ᴛᴏ ᴄᴀʀᴇ ᴀʙᴏᴜᴛ?” Jᴜsᴛ ᴡʜᴀᴛ ʏᴏᴜ ᴡᴀɴᴛᴇᴅ Lᴏᴏᴋ ᴀᴛ ʏᴏᴜ, ᴄᴏᴏʟ ɢᴜʏ, ʏᴏᴜ ɢᴏᴛ ɪᴛ
Ok, so this isn’t too bad, (now after listening about 100 times I like the first 4 lines! :D) but “Lᴏᴏᴋ ᴀᴛ ʏᴏᴜ, ᴄᴏᴏʟ ɢᴜʏ, ʏᴏᴜ ɢᴏᴛ ɪᴛ” sounds a bit playful, if not childish. If she’s taking on a childish tone on purpose because she’s still very “naive” as she mentions later, then I have to commend her for her genius. But also, it might show up unintentionally, as she mentioned that this song just came out of her head one day after a bad experience, so as a child, this might be just how she thinks, and on the spot, this is what she thought of. It makes me kind of miffed, and it’s a bit hard to listen to, but you can’t really blame her at the end of the day. Plus it sounds kind of cool! :D lkokolololol <- me on no sleep
I sᴇᴇ ᴛʜᴇ ᴘᴀʀᴛɪᴇs ᴀɴᴅ ᴛʜᴇ ᴅɪᴀᴍᴏɴᴅs sᴏᴍᴇᴛɪᴍᴇs ᴡʜᴇɴ I ᴄʟᴏsᴇ ᴍʏ ᴇʏᴇs Sɪx ᴍᴏɴᴛʜs ᴏғ ᴛᴏʀᴛᴜʀᴇ ʏᴏᴜ sᴏʟᴅ ᴀs sᴏᴍᴇ ғᴏʀʙɪᴅᴅᴇɴ ᴘᴀʀᴀᴅɪsᴇ I ʟᴏᴠᴇᴅ ʏᴏᴜ ᴛʀᴜʟʏ Yᴏᴜ ɢᴏᴛᴛᴀ ʟᴀᴜɢʜ ᴀᴛ ᴛʜᴇ sᴛᴜᴘɪᴅɪᴛʏ
Yo, can we take some time to take in the scenery? No? Ok, I guess that’s ok, and I’lll be in my own corner doing that I guess, lol :D (also comes up later, but that point it’s slow and I think it’s— you’ll find out later :))
Again, it’s fine, maybe trying a bit too hard, but the one thing that makes me mad is “stupidity”. It sounds so childish compared to the rest of the lyrics there, and I can’t think of a better lyric off of the top of my head, but I just know I wouldn’t use that word there— it gives me the ick, if you know what I mean.
it has real “they ask you how you are, and you just have to say you're fine when you're not really fine, but you just can't get into it, because they would never understand.” vibes lol.
here’s the chorus!! (though it feels like a bridge imo until the last two lines, but maybe that’s just the genre haha)
<3 love it sm omg !!! heart heart heart!!! :)
‘Cᴀᴜsᴇ I’ᴠᴇ ᴍᴀᴅᴇ sᴏᴍᴇ ʀᴇᴀʟ ʙɪɢ ᴍɪsᴛᴀᴋᴇs Bᴜᴛ ʏᴏᴜ ᴍᴀᴋᴇ ᴛʜᴇ ᴡᴏʀsᴛ ᴏɴᴇ ʟᴏᴏᴋ ғɪɴᴇ I sʜᴏᴜʟᴅ’ᴠᴇ ᴋɴᴏᴡɴ ɪᴛ ᴡᴀs sᴛʀᴀɴɢᴇ Yᴏᴜ ᴏɴʟʏ ᴄᴏᴍᴇ ᴏᴜᴛ ᴀᴛ ɴɪɢʜᴛ
I ᴜsᴇᴅ ᴛᴏ ᴛʜɪɴᴋ I ᴡᴀs sᴍᴀʀᴛ Bᴜᴛ ʏᴏᴜ ᴍᴀᴅᴇ ᴍᴇ ʟᴏᴏᴋ sᴏ ɴᴀɪ̈ᴠᴇ Tʜᴇ ᴡᴀʏ ʏᴏᴜ sᴏʟᴅ ᴍᴇ ғᴏʀ ᴘᴀʀᴛs As ʏᴏᴜ sᴜɴᴋ ʏᴏᴜʀ ᴛᴇᴇᴛʜ ɪɴᴛᴏ ᴍᴇ Oʜ, ʙʟᴏᴏᴅsᴜᴄᴋᴇʀ, ᴅʀᴇᴀᴍ ᴄʀᴜsʜᴇʀ
Bʟᴇᴇᴅɪɴɢ ᴍᴇ ᴅʀʏ ʟɪᴋᴇ ᴀ … ᴠᴀᴍᴘɪʀᴇ
mentions the theme at the end, yay! lol like it wasn’t present before haha
and here comes my theory that the management wanted this part to take off on TikTok all along, because it’s really good (musically imo) but didn’t really put as much attention on the rest? Like girl, I thought we were on the same page about hating songs only made for TikTok! really short, and only having one good part, like you can tell!
Like “If We Ever Broke Up” by Mae Stephens is the perfect _counter_ to this argument, because it got popular on TikTok and every part of that song is catchy and good, and I think the whole song is perfect. But then again, it’s also kind of short, but also I don’t think it needs to be longer, because then it’s overdone.
But maybe the way Vampire was written was just because it was difficult to come up with! Idk, but I think it could really be due to anything, and I can’t say for sure, I know that. But anyways, I think lyrically, it’s a bit weak. and the ending made me want to listen to it more, which is a TikTok move, but also just because the song has some really good parts in it, which is just because the song is nice and not a TikTok move I don’t think haha :)
Honestly, “‘Cᴀᴜsᴇ I’ᴠᴇ ᴍᴀᴅᴇ sᴏᴍᴇ ʀᴇᴀʟ ʙɪɢ ᴍɪsᴛᴀᴋᴇs” has kind of the same energy as “For one day, one day / I was really, really, really, really sad” by One Whole Day by Dixie D’Amelio. And she didn’t even write that song!
and so every time I hear that lyric, I get kind of cringe, it’s a bit sad. :( lol
but now I don’t mind after listening to it for like the 100th time lol
Moving on…
“Bᴜᴛ ʏᴏᴜ ᴍᴀᴋᴇ ᴛʜᴇ ᴡᴏʀsᴛ ᴏɴᴇ ʟᴏᴏᴋ ғɪɴᴇ” this line is fine, and it would probably be fine among a sea of other lines that are better, but even still, it would be the weakest out of those lines, but satisfying nonetheless.
This song may be musically satisfying, but lyrically, it’s not. (edit, again, after listening to it about 100 times, I now don’t care about most of it but “dream crusher” still sounds cringe, but the go version probably isn’t.) I may not understand the pain, and I understand that in the middle of writing this song, she was probably thinking about her own emotional pain and not really caring about the lyrics, so I get why it’s like this, and I don’t mind one bit, because that’s her song. And, I mean, She probably wouldn’t have released it of she didn’t like it. haha, unless she was rushed? idk. probably not though!
But still, if you take that aspect away, it’s a bit hard to visualize, appearing weak at times, with a tell not show kind of approach, and at other times it feels like she’s trying too hard, giving the whole song an amateur kind of feel. But Sour wasn’t like this, and I just can’t get why. Like good 4 u had a lot of repetition too, but that was fine, because it felt like that part that was repeated was _meant_ to be repeated, and it was satisfying when it did. You knew what to expect, and it was a little predicable but that was fine. It was nice, even. But this song feels predictable in a kinda bad way, and I don’t really understand why. :(
Ok, back to looking at the lyrics, lol.
“I sʜᴏᴜʟᴅ’ᴠᴇ ᴋɴᴏᴡɴ ɪᴛ ᴡᴀs sᴛʀᴀɴɢᴇ Yᴏᴜ ᴏɴʟʏ ᴄᴏᴍᴇ ᴏᴜᴛ ᴀᴛ ɴɪɢʜᴛ”
These lines are fire, and I like them. :) Not trying too hard, but not too weak either. It’s great :)
“I ᴜsᴇᴅ ᴛᴏ ᴛʜɪɴᴋ I ᴡᴀs sᴍᴀʀᴛ Bᴜᴛ ʏᴏᴜ ᴍᴀᴅᴇ ᴍᴇ ʟᴏᴏᴋ sᴏ ɴᴀɪ̈ᴠᴇ”
These lines make it sound like she still is very much naive, even if she didn’t mean it to sound that way. It’s also very her, especially in the way that she phrased it while singing, so I have to give her credit for that. Maybe this one is just a personal preference, for me lol Like maybe it rings true for her because it was and it’s just something that I’ve never thought about lol :)
Listening back, it sounds more like a facepalm than anything.
More lyrics…
“Tʜᴇ ᴡᴀʏ ʏᴏᴜ sᴏʟᴅ ᴍᴇ ғᴏʀ ᴘᴀʀᴛs As ʏᴏᴜ sᴜɴᴋ ʏᴏᴜʀ ᴛᴇᴇᴛʜ ɪɴᴛᴏ ᴍᴇ”
Ok, this part just sounds like she is trying too hard, which just makes me sad :(
Like I get imagery, for imagery’s sake, and like she really wanted to make this work, but still, I believe you’ll find the right balance someday as you mature as an artist and a person! :D I believe in you!!! <3
“Oʜ, ʙʟᴏᴏᴅsᴜᴄᴋᴇʀ, ᴅʀᴇᴀᴍ ᴄʀᴜsʜᴇʀ”
“Bʟᴇᴇᴅɪɴɢ ᴍᴇ ᴅʀʏ ʟɪᴋᴇ ᴀ … ᴠᴀᴍᴘɪʀᴇ”
I like this part, especially the rhythmic feel to it as the song speeds up later. I think the clean version is a bit silly though, and having the not clean version in the second line really delivers the impact. Though that same impact isn’t really felt for me in the first line, and “ʙʟᴏᴏᴅsᴜᴄᴋᴇʀ” had more impact than when she used the bad word I think trying to have an impact (but that could also be just because I don’t know the context of that word, or it just sounds weird coming from a child like her, not really understanding the power that that word holds, but still wants people to take her seriously and think of her as a person who uses that word like “I’m not the kid that you think I am”). Haha, at this point I think she has more impact when she writes from the heart and isn’t trying lol. But that could be totally untrue, but it would be funny lol.
“Aɴᴅ ᴇᴠᴇʀʏ ɢɪʀʟ I ᴇᴠᴇʀ ᴛᴀʟᴋᴇᴅ ᴛᴏ Tᴏʟᴅ ᴍᴇ ʏᴏᴜ ᴡᴇʀᴇ ʙᴀᴅ, ʙᴀᴅ ɴᴇᴡs Yᴏᴜ ᴄᴀʟʟᴇᴅ ᴛʜᴇᴍ ᴄʀᴀᴢʏ Gᴏᴅ, I ʜᴀᴛᴇ ᴛʜᴇ ᴡᴀʏ I ᴄᴀʟʟᴇᴅ ᴛʜᴇᴍ ᴄʀᴀᴢʏ ᴛᴏᴏ Yᴏᴜ’ʀᴇ sᴏ ᴄᴏɴᴠɪɴᴄɪɴɢ”
This sounds like classic high school drama from one perspective, but like her friends really care about her, from another.
Musically, I wish it was more different than the opening, but I guess changing the beat kind of does that haha. It’s not bad, I guess. :0
“Hᴏᴡ ᴅᴏ ʏᴏᴜ ʟɪᴇ ᴡɪᴛʜᴏᴜᴛ ғʟɪɴᴄʜɪɴɢ?”
What does this mean? Is this just there for the rhyme?
Like, if you’re only going for rhyme, I found this in the BuzzFeed article I was reading earlier of of curiosity “"Maybe then we could pretend / There's no gravity in the words we write / Maybe you didn't mean it / Maybe "blonde" was the only rhyme."” -Skin by Sabrina Carpenter
which I thought was way better lyrics than most of Olivia Rodrigo’s entire song Vampire. Just looking at the lyrics, and has nothing to do with their personal relationship, as I don’t really know about that.
But then again, maybe I was just too harsh, and this is just a reference to something that I don’t understand. Like I wouldn’t personally think about “flinching” when it comes to lying unless it was under a very specific context, but maybe that’s what Olivia Rodrigo is hinting at here, without explaining the whole story.
“(Hᴏᴡ ᴅᴏ ʏᴏᴜ ʟɪᴇ? Hᴏᴡ ᴅᴏ ʏᴏᴜ ʟɪᴇ? Hᴏᴡ ᴅᴏ ʏᴏᴜ ʟɪᴇ?)”
Initially I thought Again, trying a bit too hard here, or maybe it didn’t really come across, but I like the idea that they were going for.
But after reanalyzing the line before this, it makes more sense in that context, and also explains why she would be really hurt here. Especially because she repeats the line a lot, maybe meaning that he lied multiple times and really hurt her to make her want to repeat that line that much.
“Oʜ, ᴡʜᴀᴛ ᴀ ᴍᴇsᴍᴇʀɪᴢɪɴɢ, ᴘᴀʀᴀʟʏᴢɪɴɢ, ᴛʀᴀɢɪᴄ ʟɪᴛᴛʟᴇ ᴛʜʀɪʟʟ Cᴀɴ’ᴛ ғɪɢᴜʀᴇ ᴏᴜᴛ ᴊᴜsᴛ ʜᴏᴡ ʏᴏᴜ ᴅᴏ ɪᴛ Aɴᴅ Gᴏᴅ ᴋɴᴏᴡs I ɴᴇᴠᴇʀ ᴡɪʟʟ Wᴇɴᴛ ғᴏʀ ᴍᴇ ᴀɴᴅ ɴᴏᴛ ʜᴇʀ ‘Cᴀᴜsᴇ ɢɪʀʟs ʏᴏᴜʀ ᴀɢᴇ ᴋɴᴏᴡ ʙᴇᴛᴛᴇʀ”
This part is nice, “Oʜ, ᴡʜᴀᴛ ᴀ ᴍᴇsᴍᴇʀɪᴢɪɴɢ, ᴘᴀʀᴀʟʏᴢɪɴɢ, ᴛʀᴀɢɪᴄ ʟɪᴛᴛʟᴇ ᴛʜʀɪʟʟ” is kind of a lot to say at once, but I can respect it, it’s kind of like a emotion cake lol. “‘Cᴀᴜsᴇ ɢɪʀʟs ʏᴏᴜʀ ᴀɢᴇ ᴋɴᴏᴡ ʙᴇᴛᴛᴇʀ” :) those two last lines remind of her last album, and she does it so well here. :)
The bridge and chorus again sound epic with the increased tension from the instrumental :)
“Yᴏᴜ sᴀɪᴅ, “Iᴛ ᴡᴀs ᴛʀᴜᴇ ʟᴏᴠᴇ”, ʙᴜᴛ ᴡᴏᴜʟᴅɴ’ᴛ ᴛʜᴀᴛ ʙᴇ ʜᴀʀᴅ? Yᴏᴜ ᴄᴀɴ’ᴛ ʟᴏᴠᴇ ᴀɴʏᴏɴᴇ, ‘ᴄᴀᴜsᴇ ᴛʜᴀᴛ ᴡᴏᴜʟᴅ ᴍᴇᴀɴ ʏᴏᴜ ʜᴀᴅ ᴀ ʜᴇᴀʀᴛ I ᴛʀɪᴇᴅ ʏᴏᴜ ʜᴇʟᴘ ʏᴏᴜ ᴏᴜᴛ, ɴᴏᴡ I ᴋɴᴏᴡ ᴛʜᴀᴛ I ᴄᴀɴ’ᴛ ‘Cᴀᴜsᴇ ʜᴏᴡ ʏᴏᴜ ᴛʜɪɴᴋ’s ᴛʜᴇ ᴋɪɴᴅ ᴏғ ᴛʜɪɴɢ I’ʟʟ ɴᴇᴠᴇʀ ᴜɴᴅᴇʀsᴛᴀɴᴅ”
Now this really feels like her old album, and I really like this part :)
It’s really good, maintains her style lol, and no notes from me here :)
this part emotion makes up for aaall of the lyrics haha :)
or maybe that’s the lyrics? rhythm? idk, I just like this part, haha :)
“Yᴏᴜ ᴄᴀɴ’ᴛ ʟᴏᴠᴇ ᴀɴʏᴏɴᴇ, ‘ᴄᴀᴜsᴇ ᴛʜᴀᴛ ᴡᴏᴜʟᴅ ᴍᴇᴀɴ ʏᴏᴜ ʜᴀᴅ ᴀ ʜᴇᴀʀᴛ” especially goes hard, and she’s finally writing in a way that’s not only really good poetry but sounds good to hear! I’m so glad! But she doesn’t have to do this if she doesn’t have to, I just think it’s cool that she did it here, haha
At first I was like did you really have to repeat the iconic part a third time? or is it the chorus at this point? Or was it all along? (yes) emoji, but after a while, it’s not that bad. It rocks! And only listening to the last part of the song is epic!!!!!! :D the leadup, however it was executed, was worth it, haha :)
Overall, this song is not bad, great at times, even, but I just wish it was better because I get frustrated at its potential, especially because it reminds me of other songs that are really great at times like Heart Attack by Demi Lovato, and I really love that song, and it makes me frustrated that this song isn’t that one :(. After the “‘Cᴀᴜsᴇ ʜᴏᴡ ʏᴏᴜ ᴛʜɪɴᴋ’s ᴛʜᴇ ᴋɪɴᴅ ᴏғ ᴛʜɪɴɢ I’ʟʟ ɴᴇᴠᴇʀ ᴜɴᴅᴇʀsᴛᴀɴᴅ” I’d often go into the chorus from Heart Attack lol :).
But seriously, Like, I get your range is limited, and it’s all about holding in that tension and not letting it go until the line drops (you know the one), but would it kill mainstream music to not hover around the same three notes every time? I’ve noticed it was a problem since Halsey’s “Without Me”, where I really felt that, (editor me from now stepping in to say that I didn't think of this, I just held it in my brain from another youtube video that I had watched years ago but then thought I should "agree" with it without really knowing about what I really thought (based on actually listening to the music) myself lol but then again I did notice it a bit more after I had it pointed out to me, mostly in Halsey - Without Me and Katy Perry - Never Really Over but that last one kinda I had the thought myself a bit at first but then I watched another youtube video and they really pointed to it there as the "death of pop music" but maybe not necessarily with the repeating/range I think idk it was a long time ago and I also liked Paramore - Hard Times a lot at this time but anyways) but maybe it’s just a stylistic choice that I got frustrated by lol, and in general all music isn’t like that. idk about this to say any more.
alright, I think that’s all of my thoughts about this song. ok bye! have a good night/day! :)
Oh wait one more thing. I want to address stan culture, the thing that I wanted to make this video about the most. You see, if you’ve noticed, on the comment section of this song, in most places that I looked, it was hard to find a single comment that was even sightly negative. Now, this could just mean that it’s a good song, but given the complaints I just had that I talked about earlier, it was hard for me to believe that was the case. In fact, that was what kind of started this whole thing, lol. But then, as I looked a bit further on the reviews for the iTunes store, I saw that there were a few people that had the same complaints as I did. There were very few “nope”/“bad song”’s. You don’t like the song? Maybe you’re just not a fan of the genre as a whole, and that’s ok. It’s always (I think) ok to have an opinion. It’s too “copy and paste”? Not original, but still good? Yeah ok, but still, they didn’t comment on whether it was bad or good, and the others admitted it was still good. idk if it’s good to copy and paste or not, but it might e subconscious, and imo who cares (besides the record labels) (as long as you give credit) because it can end up with some really fun music out of it! :) The other comments said it was rushed and it sounded like an amateur. This is something that I kind of talked about in the section before, and if it’s true then I really hope she gets better! :) And a few people were like “meh”, essentially, and still though admitted it was good in some way. So, I guess most of the internet agrees it’s good, just some of us hoping for better.
Now, the really interesting part happened when I looked at another video by a different artist, for just another reason, not really related to this, just kind of happened to see it by chance. It was Taylor Swift’s Anti Hero lyric video, and in the comments, most of them were positive too. But, they were positive in a different way. Both positive, don’t worry :)
Taylor: I love the lyricism, even if you don’t like her you gotta admit it’s good, I relate heavily to this, and just generally pointing out a certain lyric that they like, with some fans just being a fan of the artist. But most people I think were there just () for the song.
Olivia: Kind of the same vibes, but more people liking “omg olivia you’re awesome I can’t believe you did this so proud of you!” which is great but also can lean towards stan behavior (:/), and also “I just love how she sings with emotion”. :) and occasionally “that one line hits really hard.” (hey, I said that too! glad we agree :)) (editor me here to say that I took those comments to heart and formed my own opinion after hearing theirs) But there were also people who were like “I really resonate with this song” “thank you for helping me get through a tough time” and feeling cathartic, which is really nice to see :’)
So, future fans, I advise you to be civil, and maybe not just blindly support your favorite artist because you like them as a person or like their past work. This is just a reminder, just because you like an artist, or even just one song by an artist, doesn’t mean you have to like every sing one of their songs, or go to great lengths to defend them of any wrong lol. You should personally not be responsible for the financial success of your favorite artist. Just tell your friends, but if they’re not into it, leave it alone, chill. If you like it, then you buy the song. If you like it, you listen to the song. that’s really it.
just be happy :)
just be you :)
it’s ok to have an opinion! even if it’s different from people that you love! (unless it’s a super serious important one that’s just mean or something, then hopefully you can try to respect others even if you don’t agree, and try to see other’s pov I hope again unless it’s really bad)
otherwise the world would be boring lol (I mean about having different opinions from one another)
also absolutely no hate to the teens and people that needed this song the most <3 hope you’re ok 😭👍
ohh maybe
(I feel a disconnect with this song) bc teens relate to this song and I’m not a teen anymore. ok, yeah, that explains a lot haha. :0 :)
I’ve always wanted to let the world “let teens be teens”, and give them a lot of love as they grow up, and it looks like it’s finally happening :)))
this song is addictive fs, at least it definitely is/was for me
also it’s funny how she was a fake celeb and now she’s a real internet celeb, and that’s funny lol
I don’t have to like this song, nor do I have to force other people to like it too.
teens like it. let em be.
(ok editor me here, this is the part where I was jotting down random thoughts as I had them, kind of like a notebook lol)
y’know I like this song but I feel like it’s missing something…
I just feel like if she used jazz chords instead of the normal boring generic ones she’s already used before, it could be a much cooler song! Like driver’s license was meant to be generic, and the chords work well there, but this feels like it could use something more!!!!
Oh, ok, I see the Queen inspo now. (editor me, this was in response much later to reading a comment that said so lol, bc I didn't hear it at first lol)
Also explains why everyone likes it, haha xD
it’s like her own style combined with their’s

Piano Ballad/Queen
(editor me, this is where I pasted the original lyrics and jotted down some of my thoughts there lol, so it's kind of like a "behind the scenes" of the YouTube video lol)
(editor me, but also more of in the notebooks vein where it's what I "cut out" from the video lol to stay on topic/not make it too long winded but here I am writing about it here lol (gosh I really hated part of this song, and I still kinda do, and I'm not going to deny it/hide it anymore because that is what I feel is the right thing to do) (but like not going to bring it up when nobody asked lol, except I guess this could be different lol since _I_ asked and I can post whatever I want as long as I think it's ok and hopefully not being unfair/mean 😥))
(editor me here, also this was me desperately trying to find what this reminded me of, and I was struggling really hard here lol (still am kinda miffed about that, but I chose to accept it and move on after I calmed down caring about this song lol, who knows maybe I'll start looking again by listening to more songs about (I mean in!) that era, haha (*insert indescribable emotion here*) (by me rn at least, :/)))
(editor me from a little later, also went back and saw that I was trying to improve it, so I guess that these were my initial frustrations with the song, or might have been from either before or after or both from when I wrote the whole YouTube video
ok I definitely remember coming back and adding to the list OFTEN as I thought of more, plus I looked up the lyrics in the process of writing the YouTube video, so I guess it was after, after all :) (me being happy I figured it out, NOt being happy about the song >:( ok I'm not that mean (or am I? 🤨 sounds fun actually lol) but didn't want it to be the sad emoticon :( <- ok now I'm a bit sad about the situation, again not the song lol (I don't think? maybe? I mean I suppose since I did say I was a bit sad earlier and I think I still feel that way about the song plus it's a "sad" song so...) (ok stop writing now the sleepiness is really kicking in right about now) )
)
(editor me again, I know you said stop but this is the last one I think, yeah I definitely found the lyrics again and pasted them here _after_ I was done writing my whole video up there, just so I could analyze them in the way that I mentioned before lol)
(still editor me here yeah and I would re paste certain parts and they reminded me of things, as I saw fit) (mmhm yes I am aware I sound like a derange obsessed lunatic and that's because I kind of was) (editor me still, don't worry now I have a love hate kinda thinking towards her lol, and have grown up a bit and try really hard not to be like the fans here, y'know fandom rememberings and what not sheesh the name-shall-npt-be-mentioned fandom is like REally bad and is like this one but like is just BAD on a lot of levels, I think it's worse (than this) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0a4yt5h5rRg like the problem is their behavior, not the content or I'd argue even the fans themselves, necessarily, the problem is when it goes too far 🙁 bit a bit more ^, like 😕 one side for both (the aforementioned side could be either, depends on the mood but both are ok ), slight frown :/)
(editior me, ok this is last now, please, yeah it's just me basically trying my best to improve the song, I think, or at least that's how the latest draft of all this reads to me anyways lol)
(still editor me, like at the time I didn't know if I wanted it this way because it was what I stereotypically "expected to hear", or just because it sounded cool (anyways it was still what _I_ expected to hear/would do, given the opportunity, I was really thinking of what would make me happy here, looking for outside influences on top of that + seeing if they match what I hear/the vibe I'm going for in my head like yes! no, maybe and all that))

Her style, more tension rising buildup in the instrumental, pop ->

This is something but can’t figure out what it is
“(Hᴏᴡ ᴅᴏ ʏᴏᴜ ʟɪᴇ? Hᴏᴡ ᴅᴏ ʏᴏᴜ ʟɪᴇ? Hᴏᴡ ᴅᴏ ʏᴏᴜ ʟɪᴇ?)”
More emo? idk leading up towards a genre change (makes sense from a theatre perspective) (editor me, I had just heard a comment/maybe it was a (reaction?) video or both say that this was inspired by theatre and was like ohhh, that makes a lot of sense actually)
“Oʜ, ᴡʜᴀᴛ ᴀ ᴍᴇsᴍᴇʀɪᴢɪɴɢ, ᴘᴀʀᴀʟʏᴢɪɴɢ, ᴛʀᴀɢɪᴄ ʟɪᴛᴛʟᴇ ᴛʜʀɪʟʟ Cᴀɴ’ᴛ ғɪɢᴜʀᴇ ᴏᴜᴛ ᴊᴜsᴛ ʜᴏᴡ ʏᴏᴜ ᴅᴏ ɪᴛ Aɴᴅ Gᴏᴅ ᴋɴᴏᴡs I ɴᴇᴠᴇʀ ᴡɪʟʟ Wᴇɴᴛ ғᴏʀ ᴍᴇ ᴀɴᴅ ɴᴏᴛ ʜᴇʀ ‘Cᴀᴜsᴇ ɢɪʀʟs ʏᴏᴜʀ ᴀɢᴇ ᴋɴᴏᴡ ʙᴇᴛᴛᴇʀ” -add a sick drum line after this
Victorian/Gothic (imagine the background music and she’s running away) (or else if it’s positive it could pass as emo)
either way this part sounds cool, because of the way she sings it and builds the rising tension
‘Cᴀᴜsᴇ I’ᴠᴇ ᴍᴀᴅᴇ sᴏᴍᴇ ʀᴇᴀʟ ʙɪɢ ᴍɪsᴛᴀᴋᴇs Bᴜᴛ ʏᴏᴜ ᴍᴀᴋᴇ ᴛʜᴇ ᴡᴏʀsᴛ ᴏɴᴇ ʟᴏᴏᴋ ғɪɴᴇ -> hit the minor key or the 2nd or the 5th or the 7th or sustained or whatever that chord is, like I said, makes the song cool! I sʜᴏᴜʟᴅ’ᴠᴇ ᴋɴᴏᴡɴ ɪᴛ ᴡᴀs sᴛʀᴀɴɢᴇ Yᴏᴜ ᴏɴʟʏ ᴄᴏᴍᴇ ᴏᴜᴛ ᴀᴛ ɴɪɢʜᴛ

Avril Lavigne
Bʟᴇᴇᴅɪɴɢ ᴍᴇ ᴅʀʏ ʟɪᴋᴇ ᴀ … ᴠᴀᴍᴘɪʀᴇ -> country? for some reason? :)?
This is classic her style, I would say Taylor Swift but this is her style that’s inspired
“Yᴏᴜ sᴀɪᴅ, “Iᴛ ᴡᴀs ᴛʀᴜᴇ ʟᴏᴠᴇ”, ʙᴜᴛ ᴡᴏᴜʟᴅɴ’ᴛ ᴛʜᴀᴛ ʙᴇ ʜᴀʀᴅ? Yᴏᴜ ᴄᴀɴ’ᴛ ʟᴏᴠᴇ ᴀɴʏᴏɴᴇ, ‘ᴄᴀᴜsᴇ ᴛʜᴀᴛ ᴡᴏᴜʟᴅ ᴍᴇᴀɴ ʏᴏᴜ ʜᴀᴅ ᴀ ʜᴇᴀʀᴛ <- expect a run here for some reason, but then it’s cool but not her style? I ᴛʀɪᴇᴅ ʏᴏᴜ ʜᴇʟᴘ ʏᴏᴜ ᴏᴜᴛ, ɴᴏᴡ I ᴋɴᴏᴡ ᴛʜᴀᴛ I ᴄᴀɴ’ᴛ <- a darker sound? ‘Cᴀᴜsᴇ ʜᴏᴡ ʏᴏᴜ ᴛʜɪɴᴋ’s ᴛʜᴇ ᴋɪɴᴅ ᴏғ ᴛʜɪɴɢ I’ʟʟ ɴᴇᴠᴇʀ ᴜɴᴅᴇʀsᴛᴀɴᴅ”
Now this is more pop/emo/her style, which is cool because it’s like the final act of the play, ABBA! :)
‘Cᴀᴜsᴇ I’ᴠᴇ ᴍᴀᴅᴇ sᴏᴍᴇ ʀᴇᴀʟ ʙɪɢ ᴍɪsᴛᴀᴋᴇs -> piano glissando, elton john, very dramatic Bᴜᴛ ʏᴏᴜ ᴍᴀᴋᴇ ᴛʜᴇ ᴡᴏʀsᴛ ᴏɴᴇ ʟᴏᴏᴋ ғɪɴᴇ -> twist a crystal ball that’s dark blue as the protagonist runs away in fear I sʜᴏᴜʟᴅ’ᴠᴇ ᴋɴᴏᴡɴ ɪᴛ ᴡᴀs sᴛʀᴀɴɢᴇ Yᴏᴜ ᴏɴʟʏ ᴄᴏᴍᴇ ᴏᴜᴛ ᴀᴛ ɴɪɢʜᴛ

Bʟᴇᴇᴅɪɴɢ ᴍᴇ ᴅʀʏ ʟɪᴋᴇ ᴀ … ᴠᴀᴍᴘɪʀᴇ
end on cymbals + and a guitar
hmm “play”…. it sounds theatrical, I guess :)
Someone analyze this further please TT hands /\
https://youtu.be/PdTg-JT8FPM is pretty good :) but not complete, more could be said!!!
>hates song
>proceeds to listen to sing for 3 consecutive days
(now 4)
I appreciate the lyricism, it works wonderfully on the stage :) (red curtains emoji)
haha kool-aid is funny
“Lᴏᴏᴋ ᴀᴛ ʏᴏᴜ, ᴄᴏᴏʟ ɢᴜʏ, ʏᴏᴜ ɢᴏᴛ ɪᴛ”
“I ᴜsᴇᴅ ᴛᴏ ᴛʜɪɴᴋ I ᴡᴀs sᴍᴀʀᴛ Bᴜᴛ ʏᴏᴜ ᴍᴀᴅᴇ ᴍᴇ ʟᴏᴏᴋ sᴏ ɴᴀɪ̈ᴠᴇ”
most of the song is just her being helpless(not really), sad, and most of all confused, but this really proves her innocence, and that she’s a good person, (editor me, clear projection here, if it just wasn't _me_ being naïve, if that wasn't already obvious lol) because maybe they would say the second lines, but they would never say the first line even as a joke if they were not a good person
mean TT
where’s the 2000’s drums at???
what on earth is rocky horror picture show
ok so the final genre is rock
it makes sense now, and is not in fact repetitive
paid(editor me, this was an autocorrect of p!atd though I don't think I saw the autocorrect until now ) vibes apparently -reaction video from a video with two people (editor me, I think it was one where they were old white dudes with a purple background who listened to mainly metal, but I could be wrong on this)
playlist is 2000’s indie (editor me, I was researching olivia's inspiration and she said her playlist was this lol or at least the comments did, lol)
its in minor
all of this could have been summed down to “I don’t like the new drummer”.
the parts that aren’t her sound like Selena Gomez :) Like, they could collaborate and it would be neat :)
I guess I don’t like the vocal technique because even if it wasn’t billie’s style I thought it sounded more mellow? idk
Lorde??? I guess, but don’t really see it much beyond the opening/structure of things (editor me, yeah, this was definitely a reaction to a comment and I see it now haha)
Songs that belong on a playlist
Vampire
Better Than Revenge
good 4 u
paid or something paramore???? idk just what was on the radio
oh, that one similar song, ok
enchanted to meet you
rolling in the deep? idk
mine tv
icona pop “i don’t care”
taylor swift look what you made me do (on spot/hits the spot/pinpoint accuracy)
tove lo
katy perry - teenage dream
needs more guitar
"the song was a tissue of threadbare clichés" -google for threadbare (editor me I think I miiiight have read this on a comment on apple iTunes reviews, because I definitely did not know that word before)
nice lol haha totally not this one amirite :) (ominous smile) (you should be concerned) (about me, not you) (thankfully) haha
:D
ok I made a playlist on spotify ✨nuf said ✨💐🪷
this is tearing my soul away :D (never thought this was possible, so this is cool lol)
—the centrol theme is people sobbing in their songs—
also teenagers being teenagers, or at least music targeted towards them
why hate?
-emo
-billie eilith
-teenagers
-almost sampled but not quite
-the way words are pronounced
-straight up the production
-“cool” = cringe? (to adults? lol haha)
-maybe that last point is really it :)
-“look at me I’m important”
-fire this drummer
-also consider help for the producer
-overused, cliche, generic, boring <— this is it for sure, I think
-not enough out of the ordinary/expected
-make it stop pls
-imo the last part is better bc she has more confidence :)
-Olivia Rodrigo Vampire - Creativity Don't Pay Reaction I agree it’s trying too hard and going nowhere
-also on the fact that it appears that she’s trying to be edgy - “The swearing to me seems forced and unnecessary and trying to be edgy.” also see “I'm ancient so not the demographic it's aimed at.” “ I maintain that it's not particularly inspired songwriting or production in my opinion.”? “ it's an unfair comparison,” also true
no hate
-but she’s got a good spirit :)

Feeling bored? Then I may have some video games that you can look into that might be of interest. Of course the YouTube videos I'm going to post are not mine but I definitely recommend that you sub these channels if you want more of their content, you don't have to watch them but these games may only be exclusive on certain consoles.
These games I've picked out because I find them very unique and interesting. Hopefully you will too! Especially if you are bored of the overrated games at the moment and want something different.
The White Chamber
If you're a horror fan looking for a new point and click horror experience then you might want to look at this game.
This sci-fi point and click PC horror puzzle game was created in 2005 and now it's available on Steam (with a price tag) so feel free to get it if you feel like experiencing the game yourself.
You play as an anime styled female who woke up in a strange coffin, she needs to figure out where she is and what's going on. I'm going to leave it there because I don't want to spoil it.
Definitely recommend for fans of mad scientist related stuff. Oh and eldridge horror.
Also there's a few Easter eggs to find and multiple game overs. Despite being a short game, it may keep you occupied for a few hours.
youtube
Spider: The video game
Yes. This is a game where you play as a spider. A cyborg spider in fact.
You are actually a mad scientist who has accidentally botched up an experiment which left him transferring his consciousness/soul into the spider. However, a bunch of people break into the lab and take away his unconscious human body so the point of the game is to follow them and return to your body.
This is a platformer on the PS1, an underrated gem that never actually left the platform.
youtube
Hey. At least you can be an awesome robot spider shooting projectiles at enemy invertebrates!
Tecmo's Deception: Invitation to Darkness
This is a unique PS1 game that has you take ownership of a gothic mansion and kill or capture any trespassers by setting up traps.
You literally only attack with traps, not swords or magic. Just the ol' spikes, falling cages, and pitfalls. That kind of thing.
It's basically both a strategy game as well as first person gameplay. There are multiple enemies which are actually named characters who have their own reasons for entering the mansion.
The game did spawn two other games in the series but they both suck in comparison to the original. This game had good models and soundtrack for a PS1 game, plus it takes a long time to beat. You could be at it for hours.
youtube
Magical Drop 3
I actually got this game myself as it interested me so much. Plus I needed some more PS1 games. Magical Drop is a Japanese puzzle game series that were originally arcade games. However some ended up being released overseas on the PS1, you could play the first two games but the best is Magical Drop 3.
The reason being because there are far more tarot characters to choose from (unlike the first two games it has every single tarot) and a lot more modes to play.
Very recently a new Magical Drop game has dropped onto the Nintendo switch. So if you find these games interesting then I recommend looking into the history and past games (yes, the localised artwork was God awful)
youtube
And apparently there's slight nudity in there as well
The Elder Scrolls: Arena
While the Elder Scrolls series is far too well known for Skyrim, Online and all those unhappy people who just want 6 to come out RIGHT NOW!
You may actually forget about how the series formed in the first place, or didn't know that it started with a strangely named first installment.
Originally it was supposed to be about arena matchups, hence the name but ended up being an entire adventure with a main quest, side quests, character building and all the classic stuff you'd expect in an elder scrolls. And so this is the first installment in the entire series, built for the yee olde computer systems that couldn't even keep one section of the map running.
It ended up being stuck with that name. Even though it has absolutely nothing to do with arenas, it's said that since the game is set in the entirety of Tamrial (unlike most games in the series that focus on one region) the world acts as the arena itself.
This game would accomplish many firsts and is the base model of the series entire future. From the lore to gameplay aspects, especially with how you start the game as a prisoner, a trope that's continued on throughout the series.
However, due to how MASSIVE this game was in files and gameplay. It was often too much for the old platform, occasionally lagging or outright breaking the game. You'd have to be VERY lucky if you could even beat the game at all. You thought Skyrim glitches were bad? Just think about the people who had to endure hours of painful lag on a pc that wasn't even built to process such a game.
youtube
I don't recommend you watch the entire video as you'll be there for days, but at least you can experience what the first installment looked like in terms of gameplay. Thus you can literally tell how massive this game was, as it's set in all the regions, instead of one province. It's a wonder if any of the old PCs that ran it ever survived.
Jurassic park Trespasser
There are quite a lot of Jurassic park games that all jumped in on the monetization of the popular series. But none will ever be as unique and mysterious as Trespasser, which is exclusive for Microsoft windows (the old kind)
Many fans may never have even heard of it. But this game is actually a SEQUEL to Jurassic park: Lost World.
Released in 1998, this game carries over from the film, where you play as a woman named Anne who crash lands in site B and must find a way to escape.
The game is truly bizarre as it has wonky controls. Your mouse controls Anne's entire right arm, which looks like she's imitating a drunk elephant. Making it very difficult to pick things up and navigate around.
It's a survival game where you need to find and use the weapons lying around the island (because of course someone left loaded guns all over the abandoned island) and shoot the hell out of velociraptors and solve puzzles in order to proceed.
Originally it was meant to be a survival horror, with the dinosaurs having fully functional unique A.I while having moods which made them either passive or hostile. However the Devs got bankrupt so they meshed in what they could, leaving the final version a broken mess.
There's a ton of film references in the game which go even deeper about the unseen sides of the lore. As well as cool Easter eggs and secrets.
One thing I will add however is Anne's healthbar. She doesn't have the kind you'd expect, it's actually a heart tattoo on her boob, no joke. Oh and fun fact, the Devs must have been so obsessed with her bust because players can ACTUALLY fly if they keep mashing the jump button all while staring down at her tits (they forgot to implement gravity no matter where you look and apparently it doesn't work when you're looking down a female's breasts). This game is already broken but this takes it on a whole new hilarious level. Distraction can break a game, and apparently create a new form of speedrunning tactic.
youtube
Either way, it's a fun game to look into with an interesting history.
Ecco the Dolphin
Of all the games made by Sega, you'd instantly think of Sonic or Ridge Racer. However did you know that Sega also made a game about dolphins? And that it spawned into a few more games?
Like the name suggests, you play as a dolphin named Ecco, he's unique as he's got markings on his head that looks like a constellation. The game is a sidescroller that came out on a few Sega platforms but the best version has to be the mega-CD.
Possibly the best thing about this game is purely the soundtrack, often calming with a lot of undersea elements like the sounds of dolphin clicks.
The plot revolves around ecco who enjoyed life with his pod when they were suddenly sucked up from the sea, leaving him left behind. Of course, he's got to find out what happened and find them.
While at first glance it's an underwater game about dolphins, it's actually a time traveling sci-fi game. Yes. Ecco actually has the ability to go back in time, which is what you need to do in order to rescue your pod, which technically speaking were already dead during the whole time Ecco was figuring out how to find them. So that's something to think about.
Also this game was notorious for making gamers shit themselves in pure terror by it's horrifying final boss. I'll let you seek that out shall I? It's definitely not the kind of cutsy dolphin game you want your children to play.
youtube
Relax in peace before witnessing the terror this game hides. And it's not even a horror game.
Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem
If you are still looking for a good horror game that's outside of the common mainstreamers then let me introduce you to Eternal Darkness.
This GameCube exclusive did what so SO many horror games dared not to, and that was to screw with the actual players themselves by FAKE CRASHING and FALSE SAVE CORRUPTION SCREENS. This game had a unique mechanic called the Sanity meter, if it got too low then all shit began to unfold, these happened via *effects* which included many things like the walls tilting, your character dying for no reason and the statues gazes following you. But when it got too low, these effects got far more extreme, to the point of trying to make you go insane.
You could randomly be hit with a blue screen of death, as well as warnings that your precious file is being corrupted. Of course this is fake, a clever illusion to input the worst horror into a gamer, this was especially effective in that era.
It's not just the sanity effects that made this game unique but the fact that you could play as multiple characters in different timelines, like a Roman soldier.
The game was actually Nintendo's first ever M-rated game under its own name. Despite being released in the 2000s it faded into obscurity. Even to this day, it remains exclusive to the GameCube with no sequels or remasters.
youtube
And when you thought the term bloodbath couldn't be more literal
Well there you have it. A few of many games I've enjoyed looking into. Hopefully these will keep you entertained, at least for a while.

#CYMATICS ABLETON TIPS HOW TO#
#CYMATICS ABLETON TIPS MAC#
You’ll see the following box come up, allowing you to resurrect it whenever you need by pressing the same shortcut. To avoid this, deactivate instead by pressing 0 with the audio clip, MIDI clip or MIDI note in question. Sometimes you aren’t sure if a certain element or sound is going to work, but you don’t want to delete it. There are three types in Ableton, and each is self-explanatory: These devices group together with other devices and plugins into one ‘chain’ so that you can drag and drop on demand, loading everything up as is. Tip 12: Effect and Instrument Racksįast workflow is what makes Ableton Live so great, and racks are a gamechanger in this department. This handy shortcut allows you to combine multiple MIDI or audio clips into one, and/or ‘bounce’ the fades so that they become part of the audio clip. Tip 11: ConsolidateĬmd + J (Mac) or Ctrl + J (Windows) is your friend. In essence, you can save samples, racks, files and presets into different collections, even if they are all over the place on your hard drive.īonus tip: Spend some good time going through your samples, presets and files, organizing them into collections so that when it comes to making music, your favourite sounds are at hand whenever you need them. When Ableton Live 10 was announced, I was over the moon about this feature-to-be – Collections. Tip 10: Collections – Save Your Favourite Resources Select part of a clip and press the same as above – the selection will become separate from the rest of the clip.Move the insert marker to a defined point in the middle of a clip, and press Cmd + E (Mac) or Ctrl + E (Windows) – the clip will become two.Tip 9: Split ClipĪn underrated tool for chopping, mangling and arranging audio and MIDI in new and exciting ways. This alone will shave off lots of time in your production sessions. It will then automatically copy and paste the selection directly after the selected clip. Simply press Cmd + D (Mac) or Ctrl + D (Windows) with at least one clip selected. This is another one of those shortcuts which will make you think that Ableton is the best DAW. Recommended: Ableton Tutorials: The Best 21 YouTube Channels Tip 8: Duplicate Great for adding new sections into your tracks, or changing up the arrangement. This trick blew my mind, and admittedly I learned of it way too late in my music production journey, but pressing Cmd + I or Ctrl + I will allow you to insert a specified amount of bars, beats and 1/4 notes at the insert marker’s position. You’ll see two handles on the left and right you can drag, as well as two curve adjustors: Before After Tip 5: MIDI Editor Note Preview Simply make sure Automation Mode isn’t enabled by pressing A and hover over the clip. You can see the layout of the keyboard, and how it mimics a real keyboard.įades have always been one of Live’s strong points, allowing an easy way to clean up the start and end of audio clips. Press M on your computer keyboard and suddenly, A to L on your keyboard become playable, with the same layout of keys. If you don’t use an external MIDI keyboard controller, then you still have an option if you’re wanting to play notes in.
#CYMATICS ABLETON TIPS HOW TO#
Recommended: How To Use Ableton Live (for Beginners) Tip 3: Computer MIDI Keyboard On top of that, you can hold Option + Spacebar (Mac) or Alt + Spacebar (Windows) with a portion of the arrangement selected, allowing it to play only the highlighted area, stopping at the end. If you want to continue playback from the last stopped point, simply hold Shift + Spacebar instead. But you may also have noticed that it begins from the same spot every time you toggle between Play and Stop. You might have guessed that pressing Spacebar is the shortcut for Play and Stop. Here you can set the quantization size, the amount of quantization (having less than 100% can maintain a ‘human feel’) and whether you want the start and end of notes to snap or not. If you need to get specific, press Shift + Cmd + U or Shift + Ctrl + U to bring up the settings, pictured above.
#CYMATICS ABLETON TIPS MAC#
Simply press Cmd + U on Mac or Ctrl + U on Windows to quantize your notes. Whether you’re drawing or playing in notes, sometimes you need to tidy up the timing of certain notes, so that they play ‘on the grid.

Erlande my beloved help I’m sad and sad and wanna jump back into AH but I dunno where to start pls hold my hand and guide me ur like the ceo of this place
Tumblr media
i am holding both of your hands right now
okay, so like, even though i've watched a lot of AH stuff from this past year, i can't recall every single thing i’ve watched off the top of my head. to make this easier for myself, i'll mainly look at the let's play and achievement hunter channels on youtube. from there, i'll recommend series from 2021 that are easy to binge, and then suggest one-off videos, some of which are longer than others :)
before i start the list, the short announcement video with BK and joe is really cute. show them your love and support on the socials!
here are all of the AH videos i really liked from this year [as of december 23rd, 2021]:
★ live action ★
challenged accepted (formerly known as “challenge finders”)
unruly rollers (a let’s roll miniseries)
go-op! (like the series “go!” but more cooperative)
between the games (not a new series, but it returned this year)
achievement hunter summer games in spring (their first video in person as a large group. very fun. very wholesome)
extra life 2021 (alternatively: a highlight reel of extra life 2021 made by rt themselves)
specific videos:
ready set show: fake british slang quiz 4
between the games: sumo x floor is lava on hoverboards and how we broke the ceiling
let’s roll: monikers with barbara + is this another HR incident? (title refers to the previous game)
chump: the face jam episode and the takeout crew episode
off topic: the halloween episode, episode 300 (more chill than 200 lol), the hot tub episode, and the rtx 2021 episode
also, this one sponsored video where jack and lindsay get a tank (from december 2020, but sshhh) and that one olympics video with ray
with many podcasts getting video versions and bonus content on youtube, i’d like to recommend:
red web: yorktown memorial hospital
face jam: road trip videos [ 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 ] + this sponsored video
f**kface: their “breaks sh*t” series. not much gets broken (physically, at least) [ 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 ] + geoff’s bike stunt video
annual pass: the rtx 2021 panel and their youtube channel. the channel was made in june, and videos started being uploaded in november, so there’s not much in-person content to recommend this year :)
★ gameplay and animations ★
AH animated (yes, all of them from this year. i couldn’t pick a favorite)
ocarina of time and super mario 64 randomizer (with michael and matt)
pokémon snap (with matt and jeremy) [ 1 | 2 | 3 ] + their pokémon stadium video
halo 4: laso (michael, gavin, jeremy, and alfredo)
gta v: the chungschwa videos [ 1 | 2 | 3 ], the cayo perico heist (michael, gavin, jeremy, and matt) and los santos tuners (matt, alfredo, trevor, and a rotating crew member, each episode being a different person)
minecraft: ya dead, ya dead season 4, ya dead, we dead, this capture the tower video they did with the other departments at rt, and of course, episode 500
hitman 3 (played by gavin as the other AHers watch and have a laugh)
play pals: the room series and cursed halo [ 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 ] (this one’s still an ongoing series!)
specific videos:
drawful 2 custom game (with the internet’s geoff ramsey™. it’s from december 2020, but hey, that’s close enough to 2021)
50-turn mario party
that weird-ass bigfoot roleplay video (ky plays as bigfoot, and it’s as great as you'd expect)
march to madness: the 2021 AH wrestling video (as hosted by post team’s aaron)
mario golf super rush (the one where alfredo died inside)
play pals: getting over it (the second part that was only made because they joked that they’d do it when the first video hit a million views)
★ first-exclusive content ★
dead little roosters
camp betrayal
last laugh: season 2
let’s firt + an explanation as to why it’s called “let’s firt”
specific videos (and miniseries):
off topic: last call: episode 300
sims 4 cottage life (with ky, lindsay, and fiona)
let’s build (with ky, lindsay, and matt)
hades (with lindsay, matt, and alfredo) [ 1 | 2 | 3 ]
i... think that’s everything? at least, i hope it is. i started writing this at 2 in the morning, so there’s a chance that some of the links are broken or misplaced. if i got lucky and all of the links are good, then everyone is free to add their own suggestions!

How did you get into spiritualism and how would someone find resources for starting out?
NOW, this is a quite long topic tbh! I will put in under the cut but first, let's check the possible resources.
My guidance is that if there's any form of spirituality or spiritual practice - a religion (including paganism), witchcraft, spell work, Wicca, Luciferianism, new age, energetic alien cooperation, channeling, near-death experiences, paranormal, paranormal experiences, reiki, past lives, aura, yoga, meditation, mindfulness, occultism, astrology (all astrological forms), tantra, mantras, angels, divination tools (like tarot) - please go for that. There's no one way to a spiritual journey - I know a man who uses pain to enter in a meditative state, and one man who uses mathematics to explain spirituality. There are people who practice spirituality by painting, some with music. Many ways! What interests you?
When I started, I gathered my knowledge by simply going to a library and picking there books of my interests. Sometimes they were good ones, sometimes I made a mistake and didn't read the book because it wasn't interesting. The interest is the key factor here. You can be interested in many topics, and also change your interests freely. I still read and listen topic that interest me the most.
Spirituality has many meanings to people, and there are many levels of dedication to it. If you want to do just occasional spell work, that's fine. If you want to make it as a life style (like me), that's valid, too. Just like there are people who do exercising and sport differently. Not everyone needs to be a pro or a personal trainer when they start (to look for) their exercise of interest.
The key factor, to me at least, in spirituality is to become your true authentic self without judgement. To become a better version of yourself, for your own gain, too. Doesn't mean that you try to be perfect and never have bad days. It means you are who you are, that's enough and all days, bad included, are fine. It's hard to be a human at times! It's fine. It's an art of "Do No Harm, Take No Shit".
My personal recommendations would be, from general spirituality and how to live your life as you, Anita Moorjani, Denise Linn and researching peoples' near-death experiences. Jeff Mara has a wonderful podcast series of the topic on Youtube. Eben Alexander is remarkable NDE person, who you should research!
But, again, go for what interests you. Online is full of material. If you stumble upon something which makes you upset, that's wrong material to you! Turn away and seek for something else.
Now, to your first question of my path. It's a weird little story how my journey started:
I've always been a weird kid. I grew up a non-religious or spiritual family and environment. Finland is not a religious country either. If you believe in God or anything similar here, you're a real weirdo! It's a big "red flag" here.
However, I remember thinking past lives and such topics at the age of 6. When I was 16, I started a divination with self-made runes.
By the age of 19, my life was a mess. Well, it had been a mess overall, but I was in a tight spot. I had started studies to become a chef but I couldn't keep up with the studies. I stayed in my little room where I lived back then, sleeping the days (I didn't know that back then, but I was so exhausted and mentally ill from how my life had been that I was having a burn out, and I was "crashing" when I finally had a safe place to be). I was so far behind that the headmaster of the school said to me that I need to make my mind now. If I want to continue or not. Otherwise, I have to resign from the education as there's no way for me to catch up with 3 months' worth of studies after this breaking point.
I went back home, wondering what I should do. I didn't want to continue but quitting would be a financial suicide.
Suddenly, I was given two options to choose. I call them Material Path and Spiritual Path. I could see them both clearly, all the way to the future, and what would come to me and from be on both journeys. The choices were equal - either one would be valid - but I knew I had to choose. I couldn't have them both.
On the Material Path I would continue the school. I would graduate and soon after that get a steady job with a steady, good income. I would marry this wonderful blond, short, chubby man, who would be a very good husband. We would buy a wooden, traditional Finnish house with two floors, yellow in color. I would get a driver's license and a car. I would have friends and a good social life, nice hobbies and activities. We would also have a dog with my husband, most likely a black Labrador. However, in my 30's or 40's, I would start to feel that something is off. I would not be happy at all, which would make me miserable because all was fine in life. I had a good home, good income, friends, money, hobbies and a most wonderful partner. But, I wasn't being my own self. It wasn't my life. In the end, I would divorce my husband & break his heart, leave my job, leave my friends and lose all my material gains; money, the car, the house, the job, the income. Then, I would start a spiritual journey to become who I was. All the material would be lost and it would take me long time to gather them back - perhaps I wouldn't be able to get any of that back anymore. The journey of Material had ended.
On the Spiritual Path I would quit the school. I wouldn't ever have a good education. I wouldn't have a stable home but I would be moving from place to another, never settling anywhere. I wouldn't have a partner, nor any close friends or my own circles. I wouldn't have a steady job or a career, and there would be lots of unemployment, too. I wouldn't get a driver's license, nor car, nor money. My income would be very unstable and I would live poor. I would be alone, alone and alone, without much anything. Just barely coming by, by myself. What I would have, however, was my freedom and that freedom would be absolute. Nothing would disturb it nor take it away from me. Then, around my 30's or 40's, the journey would shift more to material. I would start to slowly gain what I didn't have; money, job, career possibilities, friends, hobbies, travels and eventually in the future also my own place and a husband. But, it would take really, really long. The positive side was that nothing I gained would be taken away from me. My material world would grow wider and better and more abundant in all levels, loving relationships included, the older I became.
I immediately knew I wanted to go on the Spiritual Journey. The freedom was what sold it to me, but I now also think it's nice to know that things will be coming to me without them being taken away from me.
I'm in my late 30's now. The life has gone exactly as I was shown at the age of 19. I'm slowly shifting my perspective to more physical, too, as my spiritual journey as "a challenge" starts to be over.
P.S. I can't play World of Warcraft but I love Vol'jin. Vol'jin story is very similar to me; he, too, had to go through spiritual challenges when he was young, and choose between Material Life with No Pain but with No Freedom, or Spiritual Life with Pain but with Freedom. He also chose freedom.

wait so i was scrolling through your blog (as per usual) and i saw that you brought up levi and his streamer gf briefly. care to elaborate a lil causeee im curious 👀👀
- 🖤
Absolutely, I can. He’s such a supportive bf even tho he’s far from a gamer himself, and very very proud of you 😌
Whatever game(s) you play, Levi knows the basics. He might not have ever played them himself, but he knows enough to recognize it if it ever comes up in conversation.
He doesn’t always watch your streams, and you can hardly tell when he does because he doesn’t comment or anything. He just tunes in when he’s free to support you and see what’s going on. Sometimes to peep on your comment section, but he’d never tell you that.
He doesn’t make donations. He’d just Apple Pay you money lmfao. Supportive emotionally and financially, but all your followers/subscribers don’t have to see that.
He knows when you’re recording content or streaming and typically doesn’t bother you. The only exceptions are (a) if he forgets or (b) you’ve been in your room for a while and he’s going in to check up on you.
He doesn’t forget often—and truthfully, when he walks in on your streams its not actually because he forgot; it’s because you’re online at a different time that usual and he didn’t know—but it’s pretty cute when he does. He catches himself pretty quickly, and silently asks you if you’re streaming; to which he gently closes the door and just texts you his inquiry.
He doesn’t even really disturb you—it’s not like he enters rooms cussing up a storm on full blast. Nobody could even tell he walked in, except for maybe a small lapse in your attention when you turned to him.
When you’ve been in your room for a while, he does come in to check on you. His intentions aren’t necessarily to get you away from the screen; he just wants to make sure you’ve had dinner or some snacks at the very least. When you have all night tournaments or streaming fests, he comes by with dinner for you; silently puts it on your desk, and on occasion, leaves you with a little head pat.
He doesn’t normally appear in your streams, but he is in two of your YouTube videos: one shopping haul, and once when he helped you make him/your friends in the Sims. They happen to be two of your highest viewed videos.
People constantly ask about him. They know Levi exists, but they don’t see him often, and newer fans especially are obsessed with catching a glimpse of your mysterious boyfriend on screen. If you asked him, he’d come in for a few seconds to show his face, but he wouldn’t do it unprompted.
You mention him, of course, it’s not like you’re hiding him away either. He comes up particularly often when you play with your friends or are just chatting in lobbies. You don’t exactly explicitly refer to him as your boyfriend, but you say his name—and so does Hange—and people kinda get the picture.
Hange constantly asking for Levi when you guys are playing together. It’s one of the few times Levi comes into your chat/comments to tell them to shutup. (Yes, your subscribers go crazy for the glimpse of Levi on your channel).
He’s not a gamer, and he sees no reason to disturb your streams by appearing if you don’t ask. But, also, he’s a little camera shy, not that he’d ever tell you that. You’ve got a lot of followers, he’s not prepared to be live in front of thousands of people every night; he’ll leave that up to you.
Levi built nearly everything in your gaming setup. From the adjustable standing desks, to the wall mounts for your accessories and decorations, to your chair, to the shelves. He built it all and tailored it to your exact taste and to fit your room perfectly.
So, sometimes you feel bad when people ask about stuff because you can’t exactly give them a link or recommendation—“Oh thank you! The thing is, my—well, Levi built the desk for me so you can’t buy it—but! There are some similar ones at IKEA!!”
(Levi scoffs ever so lightly when he sees that clip. His craftsmanship cannot be found at IKEA, but they can try).
He also helped mount the TV in your room so that the cables were hidden and everything. Truly a godsend. And whenever you wanna move things around, he’s there to help you. Sometimes he even has ideas of his own, “You were looking at accent walls the other day right? I think you could do something with this back wall…”
He does play games with you, just usually offscreen. He’s scarily good at first person shooters… even tho he claims to not have any past experience with them… extremely suspicious activity.
And when he mains D.Va and Symmetra then what. Then what.
Just don’t ask him to play Fornite. Ever. (He’d be good at it, but he feels so fucking dumb playing it especially when he can hear that he is competing against a twelve year old pls).
He plays games by himself, too. Think “classic” run of the mill console videos games, I guess, nothing too crazy; Zelda, Mario, Kirby… Animal Crossing. His island is nothing short of immaculate, his only regret is that he doesn’t have oranges as his island fruit. Levi really likes oranges (he got peaches instead).
He knows that you’re pretty popular and he’s super proud of you. That doesn’t mean he likes to see fancam style edits of you on his feed. He knows that you’re pretty but still 🙄🙄
Constantly on the look out for computer/keyboard parts that you mentioned. If he sees it online or anywhere else, he’ll try and snag it for you <3 that goes for new console games, too.
He’ll also periodically upgrade some of the tech in your setup. Get you a better mic, some more lighting for your desk, a cute desk mat he thinks you might like. He’s observant, so he knows your taste in design and takes note of things you mention.
Okay okay okay but imagine putting the headphones with the kitty ears on him. He wouldn’t even notice at first and then you turn on the LEDs and bam. Very focused, very cute kitty Levi playing games on your PC.
If you’ve got a merch store, he helps you run it, and by that I mean, he practically runs it for you. Periodically, he might even have a design idea. You can count on him to get things out for shipping right on time. It’s one of his many ways of supporting you.
He’s also the one who remembers to check your P.O. box for packages from fans and from companies. It was his idea initially, too (he wasn’t too crazy about anyone, even major brands having your home address on file).
Look, he knows you’ve got some super fans, and some people who really do adore you. That doesn’t mean he’s necessarily happy when you get sent non-tech or gaming related merch (like jewelry or shoes or whatever). If he happens to put them a little bit out of sight then no he did not <2
Occasionally he’ll meet someone who recognizes your name when it comes up in conversation. He very proudly confirms that yes, he is talking about you, the streamer.
Sometimes, people will even recognize him back—“Oh, so you’re Levi, then!” Obviously. You only have one Levi in your life 🙄🙄

_______________________________________
When Friday was just around the corner, Azriel was a nervous mess.
He had cleaned his apartment twice, which he understood was a weird thing to do since she wasn’t even coming to his house. He had tried on every item of clothing in his wardrobe. He had googled ‘conversation topics first date’ and written a few down on his phone. He had even gotten a haircut.
He hadn’t been able to sleep at all that week. It felt weird to look at her videos when he had met her and talked to her. It felt like an invasion of privacy, even though it wasn’t. The videos were on the internet for everyone to see, yet Azriel couldn’t bring himself to watch her videos. So he didn’t sleep.
The day before the date, Azriel had decided to get her flowers. But when he stood in a flower shop and the person behind the register asked what kind of flowers he wanted, he just walked out of there. He had no idea what kind of flowers to give to a florist. He knew that certain flowers had certain meanings, and even though he had no idea what any flower meant, a florist probably knew. What if he bought flowers that said ‘I hate you’ or ‘happy funeral’?
Azriel couldn’t risk it, so he bought some chocolate instead. All women like chocolate, right?
But when he came home, his mind did that thing it always did when he was sleep-deprived: it questioned his every decision. What if Elain is lactose intolerant? What if she’s vegan? What if she is the only person on planet earth who hates chocolate? What if the different flavors of chocolate have meaning, just like flowers? Maybe you bought some sort of ‘happy funeral-chocolate’?
In an attempt to get these intrusive thoughts out of his mind, he went to the gym. He worked out for two hours, which was a bit excessive. The gym played shitty gym-music and every single person made weird sounds. It was the perfect distraction. For now.
Azriel hoped that his workout would help with his insomnia, too. He hoped that if he lifted enough weights and ran a few more miles than usual, perhaps he would be able to sleep. It had never worked before, but, as his mother used to say; “hope is the last thing that leaves you.”
However, after tossing and turning for three hours, he could safely say that the workout had done nothing to help him sleep. He couldn’t understand how a person could be so fucking tired, but still unable to sleep. He was almost going a bit crazy at this point. For the past weeks, Azriel had gotten used to falling asleep to Flower Girl ASMR’s videos. He had gotten used to her sweet voice rocking him to sleep. The insomnia was almost worse now that he knew how good it felt to have a decent night’s sleep.
Azriel looked at his phone. It was almost 02.30 in the morning. Fuck, he muttered to himself. He really didn’t want to be a tired mess on the date tomorrow. He had to put his best foot forward, and he knew he couldn’t do that if he hadn’t slept well for almost a week.
Maybe he should just watch one of her videos? She would obviously never know.
After debating with himself for a few minutes, he decided that Elain deserved to meet a well-rested Azriel, so he opened the YouTube app and found her latest video.
Azriel held his breath as her face filled his screen. God, she was lovely. Her smile could light up the darkest of nights, and her sweet voice was like a calming balm for his soul.
He put the phone in his chest and just listened. Slowly and gently, her whispers lulled him to sleep.
Azriel woke up relaxed, but nervous. He only had a half-day at work because Rhys had decided to send everyone home early today to celebrate that Feyre was pregnant. He was taking her on a spa weekend. She was only a few weeks pregnant, but Azriel knew that she would be the most pampered woman in the world during this pregnancy. This weekend was just the beginning. If she suddenly got a craving for pickle smoothies with whipped cream and sprinkles, Rhys would 100% make her one every day. And that is saying something since this man almost threw up every time someone opened a pickle jar in his vicinity.
“Any cool plans tonight, Az?” Cassian asked as he started to pack up his belongings.
Azriel wanted to tell him about the date. He wanted to share the nervousness with someone - anyone. But he couldn’t. Cass knew who she was. Nesta had known her since college. If this didn’t go well, Azriel would never hear the end of it. So he lied.
“No, nothing special. You?”
“I was going to take Nesta out for a date to celebrate that it has been four years since she agreed to go on a date with me…”
Azriel laughed. “After you had panted after her for like two years you mean?”
“Exactly!” He smiled. Cassian sure seemed like a big brute the first time you met him, but he was actually a soft teddy bear. He was never ashamed when people mentioned that he had been trying to win Nesta over for years before she agreed to date him. He just felt like he had won a prize. It was very sweet.
“However,” he continued. “She has to work late. Apparently, one of her authors had plagiarized fanfiction, which Nesta found out about like a week before the book went to print. So obviously, Nesta is livid and I do not want to be close to her until this is resolved.”
Nesta owned a publishing company that focused on publishing romance novels, which didn’t surprise anyone. Nesta had always loved romance books. In her words; the smuttier, the better. Azriel always found them a bit cringy. It was like reading porn. But truth be told, he had read a few books that Nesta had recommended, and they had taught him a thing or two.
“What the hell is fanfiction?” he asked Cassian.
Cassian shrugged. “I’m not completely sure, but apparently this author had just copied something from the internet and changed the names of the characters and sent it in as a manuscript.”
“Weird. I understand that Nesta is pissed.”
“Yeah. So, you wanna do something? Take out and a game?”
“No, I can’t,” Azriel lied.
“You just said that you didn’t have any plans.”
Fuck.
“Yeah, well. I said that I didn’t have any special plans, not that I didn’t have any plans.”
Implying that his date with Elain was “not special” made him feel like shit.
Cassian eyed him suspiciously. “You’re going on a date.”
“What? no.”
Cassian laughed and slapped Azriel’s back. “Yes, you are. You have that date-look all over your face.”
“What the hell is a date-look?” he asked, but Cassian didn’t answer.
“Who are you going out with? Do I know her? Is she hot?”
Azriel held up a hand to stop the onslaught of questions. “You don’t know her,” he lied.
Cassian grinned. “So, you are going on a date?”
“You just said that I had a date-face?”
“Yeah, that was a lucky guess. So, what’s her name?”
“None of your business, Cass.”
“Wow, what a beautiful name,” Cassian teased. “But I get it. You like being secretive. Can you at least tell me how you met?”
“The internet.”
Cassian let out a fake gasp. “Stop the presses and hold your horses. Azriel downloaded a dating app? Can pigs fly now, too?” He made a point of looking out the window.
“Ha-ha, very funny.” Azriel slung his bag over his shoulder and started walking towards the elevator. Cassian was just behind him.
“So, can I see a photo?”
“No.”
“What if you’re getting catfished?”
“I’m not.”
“Well, you can never be sure. One time, this girl, or actually, it was an old man…”
“Cass, please. Just let it go,” Azriel interrupted. “There’s a reason why I never tell you guys when I go on dates.”
“Dates? You’ve been going on multiple dates without telling me? I’m wounded, Azriel.”
Azriel rolled his eyes and stepped into the elevator. When the elevator reached the ground floor, Azriel got out. Cassian had his car in the underground parking garage. Just before the doors closed, Cassian called out for Azriel. “You might need this.” He threw something at Azriel, and Azriel didn’t see what it was until he caught it.
It was a condom.
With a grin, Cassian disappeared behind the big, metal elevator doors.
Azriel shook his head and looked down at the small foil packet in his hand. Cassian really was the worst.
A few hours later, Azriel was almost ready to leave for the date. He was wearing black trousers and a dark grey knitted sweater. And blue socks. Cobalt blue, to be exact. Azriel had a thing about colorful socks. He mostly dressed in black, but he didn’t own a single pair of black socks. These blue socks were his favorites, though. He loved cobalt blue.
Azriel was checking the route to the bar when an incoming phone call made his phone vibrate (he had put his phone on mute and deleted Barbie Girl from his phone, thank god!).
It was Elain calling.
Azriel felt his heart drop. Nobody called just before a date unless they wanted to cancel.
With a sigh, he answered the phone. He tried to sound cheery. “Hello, Elain.”
“Azriel! I’m so happy you picked up.” She sounded out of breath.
“Anything wrong?” Azriel asked.
“Well. Kind of… have you left your apartment yet?”
“No, not yet. Why?”
There was a short pause, and Azriel could have sworn that he heard her swear under her breath.
“Well, I won’t be able to make it. I’m so sorry. And I’m so sorry for calling this late. I was really looking forward to our date, I promise.” She really did sound apologetic.
“Has anything happened?” Azriel asked, suddenly a bit worried.
“No… Or actually, yes. I fell when I got out of the shower earlier. I thought that I just needed to rest, but I can’t walk,” she let out a pained laugh. “I’m such a clutz.”
Azriel hated that she was trying to make light of the situation. He hated that she was hurt. “Elain. If you can’t walk, you should probably go to the ER,” Azriel said.
“Oh, no. I called my neighbor. Madja. She’s a doctor. She said that I had just sprained my ankle.”
“Okay…” Azriel didn’t know what else to say.
“Can we reschedule?” Elain asked. “I really wanted to see you tonight.”
Azriel was used to being rejected. He was used to not trusting new people. But somehow, he trusted Elain when she said that she wanted to see him.
“Of course we can reschedule. I was really looking forward to meeting you too.”
“Really?” He could hear the smile in her voice. It made him smile.
“Yes. I’m av…”
Azriel was interrupted by a hiss from Elain.
“Are you okay?” he asked, ready to steal a car, drive over her to her place, and get her to the hospital. Maybe it was a good thing that he didn’t know her address.
“Mhm, I’m fine. I just.. moved.”
“Elain. Do you have a friend or family member coming over to help you?”
There was a stretch of silence. “No, I’m fine. I don’t need help.” Her tone was too positive and cheery. Azriel didn’t believe her one bit.
“Have you had dinner?”
“I was planning on making some instant ramen.”
Azriel frowned. “And how are you going to do that when you can barely move? Also, that’s not good enough for dinner.”
She didn’t answer for a while. “I’m fine. I promise.” He could hear her voice break on the last syllable. She was not fine.
“Elain. Please, will you let me get you some food? I don’t have to come in if you don’t want me to. Just, let me get you something to eat.”
“You don’t have to…”
“I want to. If you’re willing to give me your address, I’ll be there in just a bit.”
She hesitated. “You probably have something better to do.”
“I don’t. Now please, let me get you some food.”
He didn’t just want to get her some food. He wanted to make sure that she was alright. He didn’t want her to sit all alone in her apartment when she couldn’t walk.
He wanted to take care of her.
After a small eternity, he could hear her whisper “Okay.”
45 minutes later, he was outside her building with sushi (she had said that she liked it) and a bag full of snacks. He didn’t know what she liked, so he had bought a little bit of everything.
A short, old lady walked out the door, and Azriel caught it with one hand. He didn’t want to call her and make her come to the door right now, so he snuck in.
Elain had told him that she lived on the sixth floor, so he quickly made his way up the stairs. He couldn’t risk being caught in an elevator right now.
He found the door with her name on it and raised his hand to knock. And then he froze.
What am I doing? he thought to himself. He had basically asked her for her address and then invited himself to bring her food. He knew that she had a bad history when it came to men. What if she just didn’t want to say no because she thought that it would hurt his feelings?
Azriel contemplated leaving the food outside the door and text her when he was a safe distance away.
“Azriel, is that you?” someone called from the apartment. Elain.
Azriel had to swallow the lump in his throat. “Yes,” he called back. “Do you want me to leave the food outside the door?”
“No, come in. The door is open.”
With a deep breath, Azriel gathered his courage and reached for the doorknob.
He walked into a small hallway that opened up to a quaint kitchen. Elain was nowhere in sight. The kitchen was bright and welcoming. The walls were painted light green and the cabinets were white. Azriel could see a few cookbooks on her windowsill, which made him smile. Most people didn’t own cookbooks nowadays - they just found recipes online.
“In here,” Elain called. Azriel made his way through the kitchen and into the living room. His first thought was that the room really seemed to fit Elain. The dark wooden floor was a nice contrast to the white walls. Not that you saw much of the walls since they were covered by a built-in bookshelf and a gallery wall full of botanical prints. And there were plants in every nook and cranny. There was a dark green velvet couch in the middle of the room, and on it sat Elain. Or actually, she was half-seated, half laying down. Her foot was propped up with a few pillows. There was a coffee mug on the table in front of her, and beside the couch, he could see a worn leather chair.
Elain was smiling at him as he entered the room. When he smiled back, she put the back of her hand against her forehead, which made her look like a damsel in distress from one of those old Hollywood movies. “You came for me,” she exclaimed in an awful fake southern accent. “My hero!”
Azriel couldn’t help but laugh. Elain was wearing black leggings and an oversized shirt. Her hair was gathered into a ponytail. She was beautiful, Azriel thought to himself as he sat down in the leather chair, giving her all the space she needed on the couch.
“How are you feeling?”
“Oh, I’m fine. Madja said that it seems to be a mild ankle sprain, and I should be up and running in like one to two weeks. Honestly, I feel more stupid than anything else.”
“Why?” Azriel asked.
“Well, I didn’t want to cancel our date. And who falls out of the shower? I really am the clumsiest person in Velaris,” she joked. “Yesterday, I dropped a full cup of coffee over my new, white shirt. And the day before that, I poked my friend Nuala in the eye with a flower.”
“You… poked her in the eye with a flower?”
Elain laughed. “Yes. Her eye was red for hours.”
Their eyes met for a brief moment, and Azriel thought that he could drown in those eyes. He wanted her to look at him forever.
But he didn’t want to intrude. “Do you want me to leave? I could just leave the food here with you.”
Elain bit her inner cheek, suddenly looking very nervous. “Would you...Didn’t you buy food for yourself?”
“I did. But I don’t have to eat with you if you want to be alone.”
“I…” she took a deep breath. “I don’t want to be alone.” It was barely a whisper.
“So, you want me to stay?”
Elain nodded, a lovely pink color spreading across her cheeks.
“Okay.” Azriel unpacked the sushi from the bag and offered her a choice of drinks. “We have lemon, elderflower, and regular coke. I didn’t know what you preferred.”
“Elderflower, please.”
She was still blushing. Azriel couldn’t tell if she was uncomfortable or just nervous.
Azriel handed her the drink and opened the coke for himself.
Elain sat up slowly and reached for her chopsticks. Since she had to sit with her leg raised, she couldn’t exactly lean over the coffee table, so Azriel placed the sushi on a pillow in her lap.
“Thank you,” she said and put a few pillows behind her back. From where he sat, he could only see the back of Elain’s head now. He wanted to move the chair so he could look at her, but he didn’t want to come off as creepy.
And he was actually quite happy that they couldn’t see each other when she took a bite of her food and let out a sigh. It was just a sigh, but somehow it was the most erotic sound Azriel had ever heard. He blushed and made a point of looking at his food.
“God, this is so good, Azriel. Thank you. I was really hungry.”
“When was the last time you ate?”
“Lunch,” she said under her breath and took another bite of sushi. Azriel looked at his watch. She hadn’t eaten in more than seven hours. And she was going to make instant ramen if he hadn’t shown up. Suddenly, he felt a bit better about the situation.
When Azriel looked up from his food, Elain was looking at him over her shoulder.
“Is this weird?” she asked. “Is it weird that I asked you to stay? I know it isn’t fun…”
“I kind of remember that I was the one who asked for your address, and then showed up at your doorstep with food. I promise that I wouldn't have done that if I didn’t want to. If anything, I’m weird for showing up like this.”
She laughed, but it was a sad laugh. “No, you’re not weird. You’re kind. I’m just not used to this.”
Azriel frowned. “Not used to what? Kindness?”
Elain looked away, but Azriel didn’t miss the slight nod. “My ex never came over when I was sick. He said that I was boring and that he had better things to do…”
Azriel felt his hands curl into fists. “Is this the same ex that cheated on you and now leaves hate on your videos?” he gritted out.
Another nod. “Yes. But there has been almost no hate since you helped me block those words.” She smiled at him, and he could tell that she wanted to change the subject.
“That’s good to hear.”
Azriel wanted nothing more than to ask where this asshole lived so he could go and kick his ass, but he tried to act civil for Elain’s sake.
“I’m sorry for talking about him,” she said. “You should never talk about exes on dates and…” Her eyes grew wide when she realized what she said. “Not that this is a date or anything,” she corrected herself. “I mean, it would be a pretty shitty date.”
She was flustered, and Azriel couldn’t hide the big grin on his face. She was so cute.
“Elain. Do you want this to be a date?”
“Do you?”
He knew that she needed to hear him say it. “Yes.”
A shy smile played on her face. “Me too.”
“Then it’s settled. This is our first date,” Azriel declared.
Elain’s smile grew. “So there’s a chance for more dates?”
“Don’t be greedy,” Azriel teased. Elain stuck out her tongue and turned around again, facing her food.
I want to taste that tongue, Azriel thought.
Damn those intrusive thoughts.
“I can’t believe that I’m wearing leggings on our first date.”
Azriel didn’t say anything to that. He could complain about anything that tight.
God, what was wrong with his brain tonight?
“You look so good, and I look like this,” she pointed at her hair. “I had even bought a new dress for tonight.”
This piqued Azriel’s interest. “Really? Tell me what it looks like and I can imagine you in it.”
Or out of it.
Stupid fucking brain.
Elain pointed somewhere behind Azriel. “Well, it’s right there.”
On a door that Azriel assumed led to her bedroom, hung a blue dress.
Cobalt blue.
His favorite color.
He grinned and pulled up one pant leg and showed her his sock “We would have matched.”
Elain let out a heartfelt laugh, which made Azriel all warm inside. He loved seeing her happy. He liked knowing that he was the reason for said happiness.
“I didn’t take you for a man that wears colorful socks,” she said, still laughing. “First Barbie Girl, and now colorful socks. I’m starting to think that there’s more to you than meets the eye.”
“Oh, I’m full of surprises.”
There was a stretch of silence again. It wasn’t uncomfortable though. Even though they didn’t know each other well yet, Azriel could already tell that Elain was one of those people that he just instantly could relax around.
“Elain, this might be a weird request. But can I move this chair so I’m not staring at the back of your head?”
Elain turned around, cheeks pink again. “Yes,” she answered quickly, almost as if she had thought about the same thing.
He picked up the chair and quickly moved it to the other side of the couch. When he met Elain’s gaze, she was staring at him, mouth agape.
“What?”
“You’re strong.”
Azriel scratched his neck and laughed nervously, feeling a bit self-conscious. “Yeah, I work out.”
Wow, what a stupid fucking answer.
But Elain didn’t seem to mind. No, she was looking at him more intently now, and her eyes were not focusing on his face anymore. No, they were most definitely looking at his chest. “I can tell,” she said playfully. This felt very much like flirting,
Azriel wondered what she would think of the tattoos covering his skin underneath the shirt.
Azriel tried to remember the conversation topics he had written down on his phone, and after a few minutes, they were talking as if they had known each other for years. Azriel was surprised that she was so easy to talk to. Most of the time, he struggled with social situations. But with Elain, he felt comfortable. At ease.
“You’re very easy to talk to,” he told Elain. She rewarded him with a smile.
“So are you. It feels like we have known each other forever. I never thought that someone that slid into my DM’s would ever be this nice.”
At those words, Nesta’s face popped into Azriel’s mind. He should tell Elain that he knows Nesta. If it wasn’t for her, he would never have known that Elain lived in Velaris. If it wasn’t for Nesta, he wouldn’t have happened to run past her store that morning.
“I have a confession to make,” he said before he could change his mind.
Elain raised her eyebrows. “Oh? Please don’t tell me you’re trying to get me to join a cult.”
“Has that happened before?”
Elain shrugged. “More often than you think.”
“I’m not trying to get you to join a cult. I just… I wanted to tell you that I think that we have some mutual friends.”
She didn’t look surprised, but she didn’t say anything either, so Azriel continued.
“You know Nesta, right? I think you went to college together…”
Elain nodded.
“Well, she’s getting married to my best friend Cassian. I didn’t know that you knew them when I wrote to you, I promise. But it felt weird pretending like we don’t have people in common when we do. I’m sorry for not telling you earlier. I found out last week when Nesta saw one of your videos on my phone and asked me if I was a stalker.”
Azriel was blushing now. He was expecting silence, or maybe questions. But instead, he was met with laughter.
“She thought you were a stalker?”
Azriel shrugged, unable to find any good words.
“Well, I might also have a confession to make,” Elain announced. “I actually knew that you were friends with Nesta. That’s why I even answered your DM in the first place.”
“What?” Azriel couldn’t find better words than that.
“Yeah, when I scrolled through your Instagram I saw a photo from Rhysand’s and Feyre’s wedding, so I kind of figured out who you were then. Nesta had mentioned you once or twice before, so I knew you weren’t a creep. And then I saw that selfie when you were carrying a lasagna, and you looked so good, so I answered your DM.” Her blush had almost turned a deep red.
Azriel couldn’t help but grin. “You answered because I looked hot? You said that the lasagna looked tasty…”
She bit her lip to keep from laughing. “Want to hear another confession?”
Azriel nodded.
“Well, I kind of understood how to block words from the link you sent me, but I really wanted to talk to you more.”
Azriel’s mouth fell open in pretend shock. “Sneaky girl.”
“I’m sorry for not telling you earlier. I just…”
“No, no. It’s okay,” Azriel interrupted. “Do you want to hear another of my confessions?”
“Yes, please.”
Azriel put his elbows in his knees and leaned forward. He could tell that her eyes went to his biceps. Good.
“Well, when I first saw one of your videos, I thought that you might be the most beautiful woman I have ever seen.”
Elain blushed even more, the color spreading to her chest. Not that Azriel was looking there.
“Really?”
“Yes. And when we talked on the phone, you know, that time when you lied about needing my help,” Azriel winked at her. “I hadn’t laughed that much in ages. I was so bummed because I thought that you lived on the other side of the country or something.”
“But I didn’t.” She smiled.
“You didn’t.” He smiled back.
They spent the entire night in Elain’s living room, just talking. Without even noticing it, a few hours went by. When they finished the sushi, Azriel made a snack buffet on the coffee table, which made Elain laugh.
“We are going to be so sick if we eat all of this.”
“Well, someone told me that she might be bedridden for more than a week, so maybe you could save some for the upcoming days of rest and relaxation.”
“Sounds like a plan,” she said and reached for the popcorn.
They continued flirting for the rest of the evening, but nothing explicit happened. They didn’t touch. Didn’t kiss. They just talked. It was all Azriel could have dreamt of. He had never felt so comfortable so quickly with anyone before. When it was close to midnight, he could tell that Elain was getting tired. After her fifth yawn, Azriel told her that he should probably get going.
She protested and then yawned again.
“Okay, I admit defeat,” she said and stretched. Azriel could see her stomach when her shirt rode up from the motion. It looked so wonderful and soft and…
He didn’t even have time to finish his thought, because Elain was trying to stand up by herself. Trying, and failing miserably.
“Could you help me to the bathroom?” she whispered and nodded to a white door just by the kitchen.
“Of course,” Azriel put his arm around her waist and supported her. She didn’t complain, but he could see the pain on her face. It hurt him to see her like this.
“I’m just gonna brush my teeth. Don’t go just yet.” She closed the door. Azriel leaned against the wall next to the door and dragged his hands through his hair.
He looked around the room, not quite believing that he was here. In Elain’s home.
This date had been even better than he could ever have imagined. He was actually quite happy that they hadn’t gone out, but he obviously didn’t like that the reason for staying home was that she was hurt.
The door opened again, and Elain looked at Azriel with a pale face. She was so obviously in pain. Azriel grabbed her around the waist again and held her up.
“Do you have any painkillers?”
She nodded. “By the bed. Could you help me? Just to the door.”
Azriel started leading the way, but after two steps Elain winced.
Azriel couldn’t take it anymore. “Hold on,” he warned her, and then he picked her up. She gasped and flung her arms around his neck. This was the closest they had ever been. One of his fingers graced the hem of her shirt. He could feel her skin there. He had to take a deep breath. “Is this okay?”
“Mhm,” she breathed, and he walked her to her room. He stopped at the door. It was a cozy bedroom. The walls were painted a dark blue and above her bed hung a giant painting with a floral motif in a gold frame.
“Nice room,” he said. He didn’t put her down. She had said that she only needed help to the door, but he couldn’t see her walking to her bed all by herself,
“Thank you.”
“Do you want me to...” he started, but he was interrupted when Elain said his name.
“Azriel,” she repeated.
He looked at her then, her face just inches from his. He could see every freckle on her skin. He could count every eyelash. His eyes went to her plush lips, and then back to her eyes.
Had she noticed?
She had his attention now.
“Azriel,” she whispered. “Are you going to kiss me?”
Azriel was taken aback. He hadn’t expected that question. He didn’t mind, of course not. he was just surprised. She could probably see that in his eyes, because she quickly tried to smooth over it. “I mean, we don’t have to. I completely understand if you don’t want to, and I..”
Azriel kissed her temple to make her quiet. It worked very well. “You’re hurt.”
“Just my ankle,” Elain pouted. “Also, haven’t you ever heard the saying ‘kiss it better’?”
Azriel rolled his eyes. “I’m pretty sure that it means that you should kiss the place that hurts,” he teased.
“Eh, semantics. I think a kiss on the lips might do wonders.”
Azriel leaned in, almost touching his lips to her. Almost. “Oh, is that what you think?” he teased.
“Mhm,” she breathed.
Azriel stayed like that for a while, his lips just out of reach. He wanted her to beg. He wanted her to go crazy with want. With need.
But that was for another time. Right now, he just needed to kiss her.
Elain was tilting her head to get closer to him. Her mouth was slightly parted and her eyes scanned his before fluttering shut.
Offer and permission.
Azriel leaned in slowly and brushed his lips to hers. It was a feathery light touch. He could feel Elain shiver in his arms, and he held her closer. Tighter. He touched her lips with his again, and he knew he needed more. He tasted her lips once more, his tongue teasing her lower lip. Elain opened up for him, letting him in. She moaned when he deepened the kiss. When he pressed his lips more firmly to hers. When her tongue joined his. They were both panting, unable to stop. Elain’s hands went to Azriel’s hair, gently scraping his scalp while her tongue tangled with his. The sensation made Azriel crazy, and if she hadn’t been injured he would have lowered her to the bed and continued his kisses down her body until she was writhing underneath him, begging for more.
But she was hurt. And it was late.
Unwillingly, Azriel slowed down before breaking the kiss.
“More,” Elain panted and kissed his jaw.
Azriel chuckled. “Don’t be greedy.”
She pouted when he walked over to her bed, and it was the cutest pout Azriel had ever seen. It was so cute in fact, that he had to lean in again and kiss her lower lip. He didn’t know how it happened, but he was suddenly sitting on Elain’s bed with her in his lap. He was still holding her tight, her fingers still in his hair. Their lips were locked in another kiss. This one was even hotter. Even deeper. Azriel thought to himself that he didn’t need air if he could just taste these lips for the rest of his life.
After a small eternity, they did have to break apart though. Turns out the human body needs air. Stupid body.
Elain leaned her forehead against his.
“I should go,” Azriel said, even though every fiber of his being protested that statement.
She nodded. “Okay.” She was still out of breath. So was he.
Elain kissed his forehead, which made him feel oddly safe. “So, can I have a second date?”
Azriel chuckled and nuzzled her neck. She smelled divine. He wanted nothing more than to taste her there; just below her ear.
“You can have as many dates as you want.”
“Good to know.” He could hear the smile in her voice.
After a few minutes of catching their breaths, Azriel helped Elain into bed. He fetched her a glass of water for the painkillers and made sure that all her windows were closed.
He leaned against her doorframe, trying to memorize the sight of her in bed. She looked so cute. So vulnerable.
“Could you lock the door when you leave? My keys are on the kitchen counter. You can just put them in the mailbox.”
“Of course.” Azriel walked into her room again and leaned over her. He kissed the top of her head and caressed her cheek with his thumb. “Sleep well, Elain.”
“You too, Azriel.”
She was already drifting off.
Azriel walked quietly through the apartment and made sure that the door was locked behind him.
Azriel was walking home on clouds that evening.
In his bones, he could feel that this was the start of something wonderful.
When he climbed into bed that night, he saw a new message from Elain. She must have sent it just after he left her place. He opened the message, and there was no text. Just an audio file.
He pressed play and was immediately met with her heavenly voice.
“I thought that this might help you sleep,” Elain whispered, and Azriel could feel tingles up and down his spine. “Thank you for a wonderful date, Azriel.”
And then she repeated his name. For five minutes, she was whispering “Azriel, Azriel, Azriel,” over and over again, and it made Azriel both sleepy and aroused.
It was actually a very pleasant feeling, he thought to himself as he drifted off to sleep.
That night, he dreamt about brown eyes, golden hair, and the sweetest lips he had ever tasted. Azriel had never felt better.

My Favourite Study Resources
Hihi! Back with another informative post! Again, these are just my personal faves, but let me know if there are any you like too!
General Study
1) Study Bunny! I will never shut up about how good this app is. It’s free to download, you can use it to time how long you spend studying (or how long until you can stop haha) and you can colour code each subject so you know how much of each you’ve been doing. You earn coins and can use them to buy cute outfits, it’s super helpful and motivational.
2) Google Docs. Yup, I’ve picked a side lmao. It came with my computer so originally I didn’t have much of a choice but honestly, I like the way Google Drive functions, I like the way Google Docs functions, it’s my preferred tool for digital notes :)
3) Seneca Learning. Not sure how well this works for countries other than England (if anyone knows do hmu and I’ll add it to the post!) but this has full, free, revision courses for quite a lot of GCSE and A Level subjects.
History
1) Learning Academy. They make YouTube videos covering loads and loads of A Level History content. They are single-handedly responsible for the A in my mock exams at the end of last year, can’t recommend enough. They also do interactive live streams where they go through past exam questions.
2) OverSimplified. Not a school-specific resource, but super helpful for just getting the gist of a topic. For example, we cover Russia and they have a video on the Russian Revolution. It doesn’t cover everything in the detail I need to know, but their videos are a great way to introduce yourself to topics/ re-familiarise yourself with things you’ve forgotten.
Politics
1) Learning Academy. That’s right they do politics too! Same gist as with history, cannot recommend enough!
2) TLDR News. Although they don’t cover course specific content, they do explain current affairs really well, and get you familiar with the language and events of politics. They have channels covering the UK, US, EU and Global politics!
English
1) Spark Notes! Fairly obvious choice but they give really good summaries, general analysis and (if you’re studying Shakespeare) modern translations which can help supplement and improve you work.
2) CGP. Another obvious one for students from England but CGP revision guides are hugely helpful in understanding both the plot and themes of your text as well as the general context. My school at least sells them for cheap, you might be able to find them discounted online too.
Okay that’s it haha. If anyone has any general/subject specific resources then pls reblog and add or post them in the notes! Hope this helps <3

Level Up, Chapter Eleven (Branjie) - Holtzmanns
Tumblr media
“I don’t think I could come up with anything negative about you.”
Brooke’s eyes are sincere as she says it, and Vanessa’s heart starts to beat just a little bit faster. Vanessa’s a person who’s always on the go, not one to slow down if she doesn’t have to but Brooke has the ability to make her world pause for just a second. Brooke changes Vanessa’s focus from what’s in front of her to solely her, and Vanessa almost wishes she could keep it there forever.
It’s never that hard for Vanessa to come up with words to reply with, especially not towards Brooke, but her brain feels like it has shuddered to a stop, pressing on the brakes because the small smile on Brooke’s face is more important to focus on. She could say something stupid, something funny, maybe return the sentiment but she doesn’t get a chance to decide on what to do before Yvie lets out a scoff.
“Except for your dislike of Chicken Little. That’s a negative if I’ve ever seen one.”
AN: Hi, I'm still alive, I promise. Popping back into this lovely fic nearly eight months later (a new job, a new apartment, a new city, and a new cat later too) and I love it just as much as I did in January. Eight months is good for plot to marinate and develop and I'm excited to get back to writing this fic again. If you're still around for this journey, thank you and know I'm so grateful for it. Please do tell me your thoughts if you read! Thank you writ for betaing ily <3
“So you have that interview with Glamour, I’ll set it up for some time this week, and Teen Vogue wants to do something on their Youtube channel. Who knew that was a thing? I’m working on Adidas’ rep to finagle a sponsorship outta them, and Under Armour on the backburner just in case-”
Vanessa bursts through the doors of the gym while Detox continues talking in her ear, not at all apologetic about the way that she has to interrupt her as she ambles towards Brooke’s office. “Just reached the gym. We’ll have to continue this later, ‘cause training waits for no one, right?”
“I see exactly what you’re doing, but I’m not mad at it. Go work on building those boxing skills that’ll keep lining your pockets for years. Toodles!”
Vanessa lets out a snort when Detox hangs up the phone. “Toodles? Who the hell says that?”
“Detox?” Brooke looks up from her book, an amused smile on her face. “I know that trick.”
“What trick?” Vanessa squints her eyes as she sits down, trying to read the cover of Brooke’s paperback. “Are you reading Chicken Soup for the Soul? ”
Brooke waves a hand. “Doesn’t matter. And the trick of dipping out of Detox’s phone calls. Why else would you get to the gym so early?”
“Oh, come on. I’m early sometimes. Occasionally,” Vanessa grins, and Brooke doesn’t buy it in the least from the way she raises an eyebrow. “Okay, maybe not. I like Detox, I really do, don’t get me wrong. She’s hysterical and good at her job, real good at it, but damn.”
“Detox works hard,” Brooke nods, understanding in her eyes. “It’s a lot to handle sometimes.”
“She cranks up the exposure by a million and targets it in specific places and it works, ‘cause I have a lot of followers and deals now but…”
“But what?”
Brooke leans forward, pushing her book to the side as she looks earnestly at Vanessa. It’s striking, sometimes, how Brooke gives her full attention. How much she cares sometimes.
It’s nice.
“It feels real wild, y’know? Like all I did was become a meme, and now my face is going to be in a Spotify commercial. How does that jump happen?” Vanessa shifts in her chair, letting out a sigh. “It’s only been a few weeks.”
It’s as if Vanessa is riding in a car that’s only getting faster and faster, not quite in control of the steering wheel or knowing when she’s going to be able to stop. Sure, the ride is fun, but it also feels like she’s driving without a license, as if she’s skipped the learner’s permit stage and hit the highway instead.
“She wants to capitalize on it as much as possible. Keep you in the spotlight even after the next big meme rolls around,” Brooke shrugs, before pausing for a second, a look of concern in her eyes. “It’s not too much, is it? I can always talk to Detox with you if you feel like it’s overwhelming-”
“Nah, I’ll survive,” Vanessa shrugs, giving her best reassuring smile to Brooke. “Lush sent me some free shit the other day. I like goodie bags.”
Brooke snorts. “Fair enough. Bath bombs are a reason to keep going.”
“Want some? I got enough for a month's worth of spa days.” Vanessa makes a mental note to bring some of the freebies for Brooke on their next practice. She’s earned half of everything, at least.
“You have any of the sakura ones?” Brooke is tentative with her question, and Vanessa nods enthusiastically.
“You’re getting all of ‘em.”
“Now, hold on a second-”
“It’s six. Don’t we have practice to start?” Vanessa’s up and out of the office before Brooke can protest any further. “I’m gonna go change.”
Practice is nice. Practice feels familiar amongst all the new chaos in Vanessa’s life. It lets her turn her brain off and get away from the people that recognize her out in public, the way her Instagram is now solely for sponsored posts. The way she feels like a caricature of herself, almost, because others have an opinion of who she is based on a ten second video clip.
But practice isn’t like that. In the gym, Brooke is the same as ever, pushing and pushing her until sweat is drenching her back and her mind is spinning and she feels more alive than she ever has. When Brooke throws moves at Vanessa that she has to work in overdrive to block and counter with some of her own, it’s familiar. Even though she’s tired and gasping for breath, it’s what she knows how to do, and in an environment that isn’t unsettling or foreign.
The best part about it? Vanessa can still feel herself learning. Growing. Stepping up to the challenges that Brooke throws at her. Sure, she’s not aching to get back into the competition ring anytime soon, but the approving smiles from Brooke when she gets in a good hit or when she avoids a shot that would previously knock her on the ground gives her a thrill every time.
The end of practice leaves Vanessa with a new sense of longing that’s only been present the last few weeks, since this whole meme mess has started. Leaving the gym is hard, because it means Vanessa has to go outside again, pull her hat down when passerby on the sidewalk give her a second look. She has to unlock her phone and pretend to be busy, but then she’s faced with comments pouring in on every social media account that she opens. She can text one of her friends but it’s hard to continue a conversation, really, after it starts with a rousing Miss Vanjie, no matter how much in jest.
Being outside the gym means that she’s reminded of her new loss of normalcy.
She takes her time switching back into her sweats after she showers, dragging her feet as she leaves the change room with her gym bag slung over her shoulder. When she squints her eyes she can see Brooke at the far end of the gym, teetering on a stool as she repositions one of the crooked banners. Brooke turns around almost as if she can tell Vanessa is there, a good natured smile and an easy wave following immediately.
“See you tomorrow.”
“Need any help?” Vanessa’s stalling a bit by asking, but maybe Brooke really could use a hand with the banners, or at least an extra set of eyes to make sure that they’re nice and straight.
She’s just helpful, that’s all.
Brooke, to her credit, doesn’t call Vanessa out for it as she squints, admiring her handiwork. “I think they’re as aligned as they’re ever going to be. I’m going to get ready to leave for the night, too.”
“Oh,” Vanessa doesn’t mean to sound a little disappointed as Brooke jumps off the stool, fiddling with the jacket that’s slung across her arm. “Already?”
“It’s almost eight thirty,” Brooke points out, padding past Vanessa towards her office door and grabbing her coat off of the hook. “You’re not tired and ready to go home yet?”
“I just…”
Vanessa trails off, looking down at the ground. She’s not sure what to say, really. All that’s waiting for her is her apartment, but she can’t mindlessly scroll Twitter or Instagram before bed without seeing her face again. She needs to reply to her friends’ texts, but the notifications are piling up on top of one another like a mountain that she’s not really sure how she’s going to climb.
Vanessa just wants to avoid it all.
Brooke pauses, and each second that passes makes Vanessa’s heart constrict because maybe she should just try to explain, but she doesn’t know how to and it feels like too much-
“C’mon. My roommate and I are having a late dinner and rewatching Chicken Little. Are you in for a nacho night?”
Brooke’s looking at her expectantly and Vanessa wants to say yes, but what pops out of her mouth is what’s pressing on her even more. “Did you say rewatching Chicken Little?”
“It’s a good movie!” Brooke’s defensiveness makes Vanessa crack a smile despite how restless she feels, how much she’s fidgeting while standing in place. “Come over and you’ll see.”
“Y’know, we haven’t talked about movies before, but this recommendation is making me question what your taste is like,” Vanessa lets out a giggle, when Brooke’s mock offense takes over her face as she puts a hand to her heart.
“The disrespect. You’re not getting nachos with those kinds of statements,” Brooke grabs Vanessa’s gym bag, slinging it over her shoulder as she holds the door open. “Now c’mon.”
Brooke’s apartment is not what Vanessa expects - there are colours and tapestries lining the walls and even one on the ceiling, and she’s pretty sure she sees a bong on top of the refrigerator. It’s pretty, though, with the art splashed across every free surface and the shelves filled with books upon books, piles of even more on the actual floor. Vanessa has to resist the urge to go and sit down on the wicker chair in front of the television that’s suspended from the ceiling.
“Yvie’s the one behind the decor.” Brooke has a knowing smile on her face and Vanessa can feel her cheeks heat up, from how easily Brooke can read her mind. “Moved in a few years ago after she broke up with a long term partner. Never really got around to adding things of my own to the walls.”
Vanessa snickers before she can even get her joke out properly. “What would you add? A Chicken Little poster?”
Brooke, for her part, doesn’t miss a beat. “Nah. A poster of your meme.”
“Wow-”
“I know we were thinking nachos, but picture this. Chicken nuggets while we watch Chicken Little.” A girl with bright green hair pops her head out from behind a door, waving at the two of them.
Vanessa waves back, her eyebrows lifting higher and higher on her forehead when she realizes how tall the girl is as she walks closer. Even Brooke has to look up at her which is a strange sight on its own, considering how much Brooke towers over Vanessa.
Then again, Vanessa’s used to being the short one.
“Vanessa here is doubting the movie’s genius,” Brooke raises an eyebrow, and the girl lets out a fake gasp.
“Um, not a movie. Chicken Little is a film. An artistic masterpiece.”
“Are you two the presidents of the Chicken Little fan club?” Vanessa asks, as Brooke sticks her tongue out at her.
“Yes. And no, you can’t join.”
It’s interesting how Brooke’s work demeanor has dropped now that she’s in her own apartment, her normally squared shoulders a little more relaxed. It reminds Vanessa of when they went roller skating, seeing how much fun Brooke had while pulling her around the rink.
Vanessa wants to see more of it.
Brooke points at her roommate as the girl sticks out a hand. “Ness, this is Yvie. Yvie, Vanessa. I’m coaching her.”
“You’re introducing her as if I haven’t heard you talk about her every single day for the last however many months,” Yvie drawls and Brooke’s sputter is immediate, making Vanessa’s breath hitch a little in her throat.
Brooke talks about her?
Yvie pats Brooke on the back as if she’s choking on her water rather than on some words, sticking her other hand out for Vanessa to shake. “You’re Brooke’s favourite student. Also her only student, technically, but still a favourite nonetheless.”
Brooke’s cheeks are bright pink and Vanessa can’t deny that the sight is adorable, seeing her flustered for once. Still. Brooke probably recaps their training sessions and nothing more.
“As long as it’s mostly positive,” Vanessa shrugs, and the way Brooke emphatically nods makes her feel better than she wants to admit.
The platter of chicken nuggets that Yvie places on the coffee table with a flourish is impressive, to say the least. There’s a little bowl of ketchup on the side, along with sweet and sour sauce and something that looks to be...ranch?
Whatever it is, Vanessa’s nose wrinkles at the sight. “Which one of you eats ranch with chicken nuggets? Is that legal?”
Yvie’s cackle and Brooke’s flushed cheeks tell Vanessa all she needs to know as she plops down beside Brooke on the couch, nudging her side. “Really?”
“The flavour combination is great!” Brooke mutters, grabbing a chicken nugget and dipping it in the ranch for posterity, holding it up close to Vanessa’s face. “Try it.”
Vanessa scooches herself towards the edge of the couch, away from the chicken nugget and the ranch that’s slowly dripping down like a melting ice cream. “Absolutely not.”
“It’s delicious-”
“It’s cursed-”
“More for me, then,” Brooke tosses the chicken nugget into her mouth, and Vanessa’s not sure, really, how she’s handling the flavours together without puking. “You’re missing out.”
“Very happy to miss out on that, thank you very much. I’ll take the ketchup.”
It turns out that Chicken Little isn’t so bad with Yvie and Brooke peppering in commentary as they watch, and Vanessa finds herself getting swept into the plot, as ridiculous as it is. The glass of cider that Yvie’s brought for each of them is making Vanessa feel a little more relaxed, her shoulders not as stiff anymore as she leans against the back of the couch. It’s fun to watch Brooke’s face, really, and the way she lights up while quoting the movie as it plays.
Vanessa makes a mental note to invite Brooke over to watch more movies. Better movies. Expand her palate. Chicken Little cannot be at the top of Brooke’s movie pyramid, not when there are better choices available, like Pretty Woman. Sure, Vanessa’s not exactly a film connoisseur herself, but still. Anything beats Chicken Little, right?
Maybe it’s just the cider settling in, maybe it’s the full stomach of chicken nuggets, but...it’s nice. Comfortable. Vanessa pulls her feet up behind her on the couch before grabbing a throw pillow to hug on her lap, and really, she could fall asleep right where she’s sitting, even to the dulcet tones of the main chicken character screaming about an alien invasion. Brooke looks over as Vanessa settles herself more into the couch, her expression unreadable but then she reaches over the back of the couch, grabbing the throw blanket behind them.
“Wanna share? It’s kinda cold.”
It’s not cold and Vanessa knows it, she knows that Brooke does too, but Brooke’s face is soft and tentative and adorable and sharing a blanket with her would make the couch situation even more cozy.
Plus, she can cuddle with Brooke, because Brooke is tall and thus is a tall, comfortable cushion to lean against.
Brooke throws the blanket across both of them and Vanessa scoots closer to her so that their laps are covered, the fabric fuzzy and warm. The side of Vanessa’s upper thigh leans against Brooke’s and she’s not sure why she’s so hyper aware of the fact, or why Brooke’s arm across the back of the couch makes her want to snuggle in even closer.
It’s just Brooke, after all. Brooke, who’s seen her when she’s all sweaty and about to collapse on the gym floor. Brooke, who had been there at her worst after the last tournament and still wants to coach her and spend time with her. Brooke, whose secret love for Twilight will never fail to make Vanessa laugh.
If it’s just Brooke, then why is Vanessa’s heart taking flight in her chest when Brooke starts to absentmindedly trace patterns on her palm? She doesn’t know why Brooke’s touch is lighting up a pattern of sparks on her skin either, or why Brooke’s side is so comfortable to lean against. Why Vanessa almost wishes that the movie could go on forever, so that she can stay warm and safe under Brooke’s arm that’s now draped across her shoulders.
Maybe Vanessa doesn’t need answers for all of those questions, not yet, not if finding out the answers would mean disrupting the delicate balance that hangs in the air between them. Brooke shuffles a little bit and when Vanessa’s head ends up against her chest, she can feel the way Brooke’s heart is beating, surely faster than any heart should. It’s a contrast from how seemingly relaxed the rest of Brooke’s body is, how her arms around Vanessa aren’t tense, restricting, but rather grounding, pulling her down.
Leaning back against Brooke is warm, familiar. It’s a feeling of home in a situation so novel, so different from how they usually are, like pulling on a sweater that Vanessa’s not sure how she’s ever lived without. Maybe, just maybe, Vanessa doesn’t ever have to take it off.
Vanessa doesn’t realize that the credits start rolling on the screen until Yvie rolls off of the lilac armchair, reaching for the remote on the coffee table. She lets out a yawn, stretching her arms up high before shutting off the TV. “I, for one, am exhausted. And as fun as this was, it’s my bedtime.”
Brooke snickers, and Vanessa can feel the way her chest reverberates underneath her. “You and I both know you’re about to go Facetime Scarlet.”
“That’s what bedtime means,” Yvie wiggles her eyebrows, and Brooke’s noise of disgust is immediate.
“Horrifying. You two better keep it down this time. My ears still haven’t recovered from overhearing you both last week,” Brooke shudders as Yvie cackles, shutting the door to her bedroom with a click.
Vanessa turns in Brooke’s grip, shooting a questioning look. Surely Yvie can’t be louder than the average person on Facetime. “Overhearing what?”
Brooke makes a face, the haunted look in her eyes almost comedic from the way that she sighs. “Let me put it this way. Yvie and her girlfriend are in a long distance relationship, which is hard on them for a multitude of reasons. One of them being their libidos.”
“Their libidos…” Vanessa trails off, her face falling when she realizes what Brooke means. “Oh no. Not that. Tell me not that.”
“Exactly that. They’re quieter over Facetime than they are when Scarlet visits, at least. That’s a blessing.”
Vanessa shudders. Sure, she’s not exactly quiet in bed either, but the thought of people on the other side of the wall being able to hear everything is horrifying, especially because of the fact that she lives with Alexis. Her sister does not need to know details about her sex life, that’s for sure.
Still, Vanessa wonders how loud Yvie must be. “How do they even make so much noise with phone sex, anyway? Yodel?”
“Mating calls that would fit in perfectly in a National Geographic documentary,” Brooke lets out a snicker, her hand clapping over her mouth when Yvie lets out an ‘I heard that!’ from behind her bedroom door. “Still, glad I’m not about to suffer through overhearing it alone. You’ve saved my evening.”
Vanessa snorts, pulling back from Brooke’s embrace to face her, leaning against the back of the couch. “Glad to be of service.”
Brooke is softness and kindness and contentment all at once, and the easy smile on her face is one that Vanessa feels so lucky to see the longer and longer that she knows her. It’s moments like these that Vanessa wants to hold on to forever - when Brooke’s guard is down, when her posture is relaxed and she’s looking over with eyes that Vanessa could drown in. She wants to package up this version of Brooke that isn’t tethered by reminders of her past, or with upholding a legacy that defines her whether she likes it or not. At times like this, Brooke isn’t a boxer with her father’s last name, or Vanessa’s coach responsible for facilitating her success. She’s just Brooke, a girl whose gaze is so mesmerizing that makes Vanessa’s breathing hitch in her throat without even realizing it.
Brooke holds out a hand and it’s almost second nature for Vanessa to link her fingers with hers, their hands fitting together in a way that doesn’t make sense, not when Vanessa’s hands are so much smaller. But Brooke’s grip is an anchor that keeps her from floating away, one that centers her and lets her focus on the upward curve of Brooke’s lips, the softness of her eyes when she smiles.
Except then Brooke’s brow is furrowing, a hint of concern in her eyes that Vanessa wants to brush away for her. “You okay? You’re quieter than usual.”
Vanessa can feel her face heating up as she stutters, pulling her eyes away from Brooke’s face to focus on the stitching along the couch cushions. “I’m fine. I...nothing.”
She can’t exactly go out and tell Brooke, someone who’s a coach and also a friend for that matter, that she’s just a little bit mesmerized by her face. Not something that’s likely to go over well.
Vanessa’s past relationships have been nothing short of peacocking, making herself known to those she’s had an interest in because they’d inevitably chase her right back. She knows her worth, knows how to go after what she wants, but…
What does she even want, now?
She doesn’t want Brooke, she can’t, not when Brooke is her coach and someone who’s becoming more and more important towards every aspect of her life, someone who she texts when she wakes up in the morning and who she’s messaging as she’s falling asleep.
Brooke’s not the type of person that Vanessa can parade around and go on a few dates with while drinking the cheapest wine on the menu for shits and giggles. She’s not someone that Vanessa can let go of easily, the way she’s had to with previous relationships that didn’t work out. Brooke is different from them.
She’s not disposable, not someone that Vanessa wants to let go of from her life. She isn’t someone that Vanessa can let go of at this point, because the thought of not seeing her amused expressions in the gym or the pride on her face while they’re training is too much to deal with. Vanessa’s only beginning to read through Brooke’s pages to learn more about her, and finding out little details that make her want to melt and pull Brooke just a little closer to her heart.
Brooke is too important.
Sure, Vanessa’s breath hitches in her chest whenever Brooke pulls her closer, and maybe Brooke’s smile is enough to drown out any background noise buzzing around them, but Vanessa also knows that she falls hard. And fast. She’s impulsive, following what her heart tells her to do and most of the time, she can deal with the consequences because she knows she’ll be able to get back up again.
But if this is a miscalculation? If saying something means that they’ll end up in pieces that neither of them will be able to put back together?
It’s too big of a risk. At least, for now.
Vanessa can’t be the one to take the jump off the cliff, not yet.
So she smiles, puts on the most reassuring expression that she can, hoping that it’s enough to soothe the concern that splays itself across Brooke’s features. “Really, I am. Just thinking about all the press shenanigans that Detox has lined up for me tomorrow.”
It’s enough for Brooke’s features to relax just a little bit, the smile on her face almost nostalgic. “I’m glad it’s you now, and not me, on Detox’s receiving end. She’s ruthless in the best way.”
“That’s one way to put it.”
There’s a sinking feeling in Vanessa’s chest by going for the cop out, but...she has no other choice. It’s not the way she normally handles situations like this, a fact made clear by how much she has to push down the butterflies in her stomach, and hide them behind a door so that they don’t escape and ruin stakes that feel too high, too much of a risk.
Still, Vanessa’s a bit of a sucker for punishment, and so when Brooke pulls her closer into a hug, it’s as easy as breathing to snuggle into her and rest her head against her chest, because Brooke’s arms are warm and safe and manage to slow her thinking down just a bit.
Part of Vanessa feels like she can handle it and hold herself back from doing anything stupid, if only to not mess everything up. She can be this close to Brooke and not have her chest split in two and maybe it’s a blessing, and something that she has to hold on to. Except that by leaning against Brooke, she can feel how fast Brooke’s heart is beating, threatening to escape from her chest before she can possibly stop it. It’s a contrast from the gentle way that Brooke’s fingers run through her hair, betraying the calmness on the outside that she’s trying so hard to convey.
Maybe Vanessa’s not the only one holding back. Maybe Brooke also feels it, maybe she’s also teetering on the bridge that Vanessa’s trying her best not to lose her footing on, and the thought gives Vanessa pause for a second, because maybe the risk is one they can manage, something they can work with...
No. No.
They can’t.
Not if it would lead to everything falling to pieces around them, not if it would mean no more training and no more Brooke in general. Because that’s how relationships always seem to end, don’t they?
As much as Vanessa has always wanted the romantic movie ending and a kiss in the rain, it hasn’t happened to her yet, much to her teenage self’s disappointment. There’s too much on the line to see if Brooke will be the one to veer her onto a different path and change the outcome.
So, Vanessa has to be happy with what she’s getting now, this friendship with Brooke and the coaching and accept it for all that it’s worth. Because Brooke’s important, maybe the most important person in Vanessa’s life and she has to take what she gets.
She’s lucky enough to have it in the first place, after all.

BTS TAROT. 01
PSA. I wrapped this post while listening to Smyang's 'Tokyo' by RM (Piano Cover), you can give it a try here. In case you want to do the same.
I’ve been reading ‘BTS TAROT’ subject for six months now. However it’s all started with another episode of youtube algorithm, just like the first time I grew interest toward BTS. After BTS fanmade crack videos came to my youtube home, they lead me to another video and the snow is still pretty much rolling to this day.
One video about ‘Mrs. Jeon’ came to my home on youtube and I’m intrigued to check what is it. Got to read their readings for other members Future Spouse (FS) as well. I actually don’t know what to call the people who do this. I’ll call them ‘them’, ‘their’, and ‘these people’. Pretty sure they are still human.
The first two months getting into this is frustrating. I feel bad for Bangtan as they are human themselves, I feel bad for these people who do this, I feel bad for people who consume this subject mindlessly. Some of you are lonely and horny all the time. It looks like ‘all the time’ due to time zone. Somewhere is night and some people just activated their horny button but in different place, it’s early morning and there are people already thinking about sensual thoughts, IN THE MORNING. It’s actually possible. Look. Explaining human behavior is complex. I won’t elaborate this matter now.
The way I present my thoughts here is me projecting what I believe about this matter.
The practice of tarot reading and everything similar or related to this is wayy.. older than everyone’s existence on tumblr. From the casual reading to manifesting for specific things. I never know what’s in one’s mind when they read ‘BTS tarot’. At least, I know mine.
I read more about astrology than tarot in the past. On positive side, I read astrology to guide and give me insights for my life. Surprisingly, I have found some great blogs about BTS astrology readings on tumblr. Several of my placement similar to several members that I think I can take the readings for myself. It’s a blessing that I can see part of myself can be explained using public figure I adored as an example.
After months, how’s it going now?
The answer is I think I understand what’s going on now. Haha.
When I keep getting recommended BTS tarot readings on youtube, be it short/brief or long/comprehensive video, I was trusfrated. I DON’T WANT TO RECEIVE THIS KIND OF VIDEO ANYMORE. Every time I actually click ‘don’t recommend channel’ or ‘not interested’ options on their videos, I still keep getting these videos anyway. Youtube must be joking. I wish youtube would provide white flag option as well or at least take my request seriously and make it happen for ACTUALLY stop recommending me videos I don’t want to watch.
These videos keep talking about similar things, they’re getting more specific, to the point, I am asking myself, what else these people want to dig about them? How long and how far will they explore this subject? The more I read them, the more I realize some people doing this for fun, maybe to troll other people. There are people took this serious and showed it in the comments, there are silent readers who take it as it is, then there are silent readers who’s confused with everything.. they actually wanna ask, “what the hell is this?” But they got no answer because they are too shy to ask or don’t know who to ask anyway.
After learning that ‘don’t recommend channel’ and ‘not interested’ options didn’t work, I started ignoring it. It worked 👍.
Then, there’s a whole BTS tarot community on tumblr.
As I have briefly and chaotically mentioned in previous paragraphs, there are different types of blogs in this one subject itself. The-
1. Sane, empathetic, comprehensive post, respectful toward BTS and their audience by giving disclaimers before the post
2. Sane, NSFW, comprehensive post, respectful toward BTS and their audience by giving disclaimers before the post
3. Mad for getting too many Jungkook’s FS requests
4. Mad for getting too many Jungkook’s FS requests and still give answers sarcastically
5. Stop continuing the blog after using Jungkook’s FS as their first post because they got many requests for Jungkook’s FS later and get trusfrated in an instant
6. Take every requests but give inconsequential answers
Number 3, 4, and 5 usually have correlation. That list isn’t comprehensive but they are the one that stick to my brain.
Yesterday I tried to look up on tumblr ‘BTS tarot’ for the first time. In one search, I can find many types of posts. Even those who have expressed how frustrating this subject.
I don’t know how often tumblr tarot/astrology blogs get requests about Jungkook, Taehyung, and other members FS, but it looks a lot. Once they talk about one member, they’ll get requests to answer further topic about them, then getting requests about other members as well, and then their inbox flooded. Even if the questions and the answers somehow similar.
By reading the comprehensive BTS tarot posts one, I learned from their statement that all of these reading results can change because it’s meant as prediction.
According to Cambridge Dictionary, prediction is a statement about what you think will happen in the future. It means, anything can happen if it’s taken with optimistic perspective. By anything means possibilities have no limit. Why suddenly Cambridge Dictionary? Because I think it’s suitable for this topic.
Everything that has been posted by these people is like a spec of dust of universe. I believe Bangtan as a person will be fine. I also believe Bangtan will be fine if you also taking care of yourself. I think it’s okay to use the readings to project what you want for your life. It’s okay to use it as an example, so your view of ideal life on what kind of person you want to be and what kind of partner you want to have feel represented.
This subject however can indulge you hours, days, weeks, months.. I think it’s important to question yourself whether you are still on the right path. Think about this:
You’re walking in a wide park full of big tall trees that the branches cover the sky so you can’t point where’s the sun. Even though the path is already organized, it looks like a maze to you. You are fine to walk it down by your guts, but it’s also important to stop for a while to make sure if you are still in the right path.
The fact that you reach this post to this point, means that probably you have the same concern as me. I wish this post find people who is lost in the middle of questioning what on earth is BTS tarot doing to me? I mean, you can’t change people. I think if you’re the one considering to take action for yourself, I wish this post find you.

Rebecca Black's Search for Identity
Rebecca Black's unabashedly sapphic bop 'Girlfriend' came onto my radar recently. "Holy shit," I thought to myself, thrilled, "She's grown up and got a Carly Rae Jepsen meets Katy Perry sound? I need to hear more of this!"
Tumblr media
Well, not exactly... 'Girlfriend' is that, but Rebecca Black isn’t that. Not yet, at least - out of a dozen or more releases, it’s just that one song.
The truth is, Rebecca has been trickling out songs for years, throwing things at the wall, looking for the style that will make her take off.
As I hopped from song to song in the Youtube recommended links, each song was different. They could have each been from a different singer. I was so excited after hearing Girlfriend, but each song I listened to left me more confused.
Tumblr media
Skipping past the series of regrettable cash-ins while she was under management of Debra Baum right after 'Friday', then a handful of forgettable EDM pop tracks, are a few more recent interesting songs with -wildly- different vibes. So who IS Rebecca Black?
Welcome Back (she never left)
Every piece of press that Rebecca gets has the same lede: Remember the Friday girl? Well she’s BACK, she’s GROWN UP, and she’s a REAL MUSICIAN now!
But apart from a 3-year hiatus between 'Saturday' and 'The Great Divide', Rebecca has actually been consistently releasing music every year since 'Friday'. There's no comeback to speak of, she's always been around, just not gathering much attention.
It's the kind of PR move that works once and only once: that was then, this is now, and then you stand on the quality of your work and move forward. But every bit of press I could find, at the release of every song coming out almost every year, has taken this stance, not even mentioning the prior songs. She keeps trying to break out, but the viral fame is too comfy to leave behind.
Tumblr media
The lead single off her one and only EP ‘RE/BL’, 'Heart Full of Scars', feels like an intentional callback to her viral phase and the cyberbulling she experienced. And I don't doubt that the bullying and harassment she went through left some deep marks. And the biggest thing that’s put her in the headlines lately, of course, is a new version of Friday.
So on the one hand she is trying to move forward with a pop career, but on the other hand she keeps leaning on her prior name recognition and winking back at the past.
She also has a pretty large presence on Youtube. I admit, I have not done a deep dive of her Youtube, Tiktok, and other social media presence. As I understand it, she is friends with a group of LGBTQ Youtubers and makes appearances in their work as well. Most of the recent vlogs on her channel, though, once again are themed around 13-year-old Rebecca.
I mean, those viral-fame-milking videos have double or more the amount of views compared to her other videos, so I guess do what the algorithm commands you to do, girl.
A short history of Rebecca Black the artist
I want to start out by saying I'm not going to consider 'Friday' as part of her career. I want to judge her current work on its own merits: would I be listening to it, if it didn't have any name recognition?
Directly after 'Friday', Rebecca was signed to DB Entertainment and released a string of awkward songs and videos. The less said about them, the better. Then was 'Saturday', dipping from the one-hit-wonder sequel song well with the best of them (see Kung Fu Fighting's Dance the Kung Fu, and The Devil Comes Back to Georgia).
Tumblr media
The one cohesive work she has released is the EP ‘RE/BL’ in 2017. Other than that, everything has been released in one-off singles or pairs.
She’s got very safe EDM pop in Foolish and Anyway. She’s got some sweet but dark, Melanie Martinez vibes in Sweetheart and Do You. (She’s even worked with Billie Eilish’s brother Finneas on Satellite). Every time she seems to be heading in a certain direction, she releases something completely different.
As of yet, though, she hasn't settled on any genre or general identity that I would expect from a pop artist. Not that I'm expecting every song she puts out to be the same, or that I don't love some experimentation, but the things she has put out simply don't feel cohesive, and it's like each song is aimed at a different audience.
Tumblr media
Who Is Her Base?
So, having listened to all the songs she’s put out to date, I’m at a loss with how to describe Rebecca Black as a pop artist.
Is she a mainstream pop idol? Is she retro-inspired and glittery?
Is she cute but a little dark and edgy? Or a boundary-pushing hyperpop queen?
She's a chameleon, becoming a different artist each time she works with a new collaborator. And I think this is hurting her chances at building a devoted base of fans.
Tumblr media
February was big PR moment for our girl Rebecca. Just a week after 'Girlfriend' dropped, so did the hyperpop remix of Friday.
Unfortunately, hearing the phrase 'Friday hyperpop remix' gives you just about everything you need to know, and you barely need to listen to the song. I'm not saying that because of any distaste for hyperpop - Simply, the actual execution of the idea was unsurprising and unexciting (IMO).
Tumblr media
It's not completely out of left field, though, as Rebecca is honestly dipping her toe into hyperpop. She had a feature on Dorian Electra's latest album, and her main 2020 release "Closer" has some light Sophie/Charli-esque touches (albeit in a much safer and chiller way than the Dorian track). Her Fantano interview does imply this is something she’s interested in pursuing further.
If Rebecca goes full hyperpop, I am totally behind that. It's a ripe niche, people will appreciate her meme appeal rather than be driven away, and 'hyperpop star' is a rather more achievable goal than 'mainstream pop star'. If she can do that and do it well, it could be the perfect career move for her.
I do hope Rebecca finds her identity as a musician. It’s a tough step for any artist deemed a “one-hit wonder”, and doubly difficult for her unique situation. I think she’s got a lot of potential, and someday we’ll stop saying “Oh, the Friday girl?” and start saying things like “Oh, I loved her latest album!”

So THIS keeps happening. I’m soo livid. I’ve been dealing with this for the past 3 days when I’m not at work busting my ass. I’ve dealt with this till I went to bed last night and it’s still happening! Someone is either hacking my YouTube or this is YouTube’s doing! Honest to god,I’ve never seen this content, never seen it on my homepage, never viewed it, never looked at it scrolling randomly cause it’s not recommended to me! I can be on my watched list and continuously refresh and I will see these videos come up on my account! Seconds after another! And within a matter of seconds and the time stamps will be like a hour into a video and such like no one is watching this content! They r clicking random parts and going to the next video! This is a scheme to boost the views cause look at the count!
I’m so fed up and exhausted trying to add more and more security on my account changing passwords! I’ve done it 6 times already since yesterday! These videos continue to spam my account. In all honesty, I’m about to delete my account guys cause my YouTube doesn’t feel safe right now. I don’t know what’s happening but YouTube needs to do better!
Guys I’m sorry but if I see one more of these spam me, I’m honest deleting my YouTube channel. Maybe I will post my old content elsewhere cause this isn’t safe. I can’t risk being hacked!
(Hamtaro videos were me but that’s it. I keep deleting these as soon as they pop up then I finally decided to take screenshots! They r mostly of kids content trampoline challenges, Anna Elsa frozen content and 90% have millions of views!)
[UPDATE]
Of course it happened yet again so I deleted my YouTube channel permanently. I will try to slowly upload my YouTube videos on here so I least can have them saved somewhere. Tumblr is home anyways where it should live! Where I started making this content in the first place.
