2. closet monster (2015) - one of my favorite films of all time and probably my favorite coming of age film, too. changed me as a person (connor jessup, you will always be famous to me!)
3. the hater (2020) - probably incredibly problematic in some way but this film is just completely insane and unhinged and makes a lot of valuable social commentary in the process
4. farewell my concubine (1993) - I wish everyone could see and appreciate this film the way I do (leslie cheung, you will forever be missed)
5. everything everywhere all at once (2022) - the themes! everybody cried because of the themes! lots and lots and lots of things are happening but in the end, it’s all about love and always has been
6. boarding school (2018) - I’m the only person in the world who truly understands this film actually
7. hatching (2022) - one for the ‘does my mom love me’ crowd with a lot of underlying themes and commentary. we really love a good horror film, we really do
8. happy together (1997) - just thinking about the film makes me shake and want to cry
9. the platform (2019) - horror is the best medium for social commentary of any kind and it’s time we say and accept it!

For peeps who read my fics like most of this won't be surprising. Casey starts learning a lot of mystics and alchemy from Draxum and he gets his tats so that he can quick fire some of the spells. He can portal pretty easily using it, and loves to do so while riding his motorbike so he flies out of it and spins to a stop. It drives Leo insane because, "How are you this cool."
His hairstyle is also based on Draxum's but man it makes him look like human Splinter cannot deal with it.

Headcanon that Peter has an urban accent in Swedish bc when he first moved in with Sweden in the 70s, Sweden lived in Stockholm, and later in the 90s moved south. Bc Ladonia came around in the 90s he got more of a country accent in Swedish, but he has an urban accent in Danish. Peter doesn’t know Danish but he knows some Finnish.

👻 Is there a new genre you'd like to write?
oh gosh, good question. this'd be easier to answer if i actually consciously thought about genre when i write stuff 😅 uhh, well i've got this one WIP that's like a sort of historical fiction/thriller type thing?? i don't even know if thriller's the right word it might be more of an action-y story. there's also romance in it? the romance is simultaneously not the focus and also a driving force of the characters' motivations. if that makes sense. it's been rotating in my brain since 2022, and the whole thing's plotted out, but i've hardly, yknow, written most of it. it's my favorite WIP and i really want to do it justice, but i think that's holding me back a bit bc i'm one of those people who's like "i need to get it perfect on the first draft or i will die" even though i know that's what the editing/revising section is for. you know how it is. i do really want to share it, though, so it'll get written. eventually.

god i rarely write chubby!reader fics because my fics by default dont include any (intentional) descriptors to paint reader as thin or fat or any race so that they're accessible for everyone. but i saw some absolutely rancid takes and i lowkey wanna write another multi-part chubby reader fic. i should finish some plans tbh
#wooahaes.txt#i dont know who needs to hear this but... the existence of chubby!reader fics does not take away from other body types representation#a lot of fics default to having a thin reader most likely because the author is writing from their own experience.#there's literally nothing wrong with that as long as the author puts a warning on the fic for specifying a body type#like imo you can really write anything you want as long as you put the proper warnings in place so that readers can pick and choose--#--what they want to read yknow? not everyones gonna relate to a fic and thats okay#its the same thing as reading published books with a protag who best resembles you#nothing wrong with looking for the rep! but its not like its taking away from 'other' ppls rep to have a plus size protag#and so forth! but genuinely like... a lot of reader fics default to having a thin reader#my works dont and i have mutuals who write in a similar manner (and i love them v much for it mwah mwah)#and they typically dont have any warning that reader is written to be thin. we just kinda have to see it for ourselves and usually click of#its why i try to be careful in tagging my works accordingly so people know what they're getting into#anyway thats enough rambling. i'll eventually come back around and write another chubby!fem!reader fic#i have a chris one ive been thinking about for a whiiiiile now and its got some very cute moments teehee#i'll try to have an alternate fic being uploaded around the same time too for ppl who arent interested in a chubby!reader fic tho! <3
