#I love talking about my OCs and drawing them and writing about them

Alright let’s talk about the fandom. Seriously.

Immaturity and bad takes are impossible to avoid since this is literally a book for pre to post teens, a lot of older people either love or grew up with it, but have left because of the loud majority of minors. This post is mostly for those younger people, so keep that in mind.

I’ll just say this real quick, if you’re 12 and under. Get off, it’s truly for your own safety you shouldn’t even be online, be patient and wait, it will be worth it I promise. Young minds should definitely NOT be interacting with this fandom at all.

These books and the fandom means a lot to me, and to see it on fire breaks my heart, so here I propose some temporary solutions and suggestions:

Draw people’s ocs! No matter how off cannon or op they may be, this fandom is full of children and a little kindness can go a long way

Encourage nuance, I know it’s not our job to parent the kids who are left abandoned on the internet, but I think it’s important to understand where these kids are coming from. Learning is hard for some but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be held accountable for your actions. Differing opinions might be trivial to some who grew up in an echo chamber of the same views as them, so take a mindful approach of sharing new ideas, don’t just say “This idea is correct and because you don’t think it is you’re wrong”.

Positivity and kindness. This one is very important, you need to listen to one another and give everyone a chance to speak, there are so many diverse people across the fandom and we all just want to enjoy our dragons. Ruining the fun by harassing innocent people is not okay, relax a bit and step back, this is all just a series about a fictional species with rules that can be easily bent for fan content, everyone is having fun together, and you can either watch, partake, or ruin it.

I think that’s all I have to say for now, I just love psychology and growing minds are fascinating to me, I love children with all of my heart (not like that) and it’s upsetting to see them fighting with each other or getting dog piled by older people! Please, this fandom has to be way more mindful of it wants to continue, minors in fandoms are unavoidable but you can easily make 16-18+ servers or groups.

With that being said, I genuinely love you all and I wish to see this thrive, continue doing your art, your writing, or whatever the hell you do, I’ve seen so much amazing mixed media projects about these dragons and it makes me so happy that people are sharing this stuff with the world. I love you artists, fellow fandom siblings, and to all else who reads this, have a good day/night 💖

The mirror? For the ask game :]

Here’s a quick and dirty drawing of my oc Lucifer, from his DnD AU (arguably his least hinged appearance). Lucifer is The Mirror because he was made specifically as a semi-evil reflection of my original JJBA OC, Hisato, my sweet boy Hisato <3 In this AU, Lucifer is the sole contract managed by his patron, and therefore has a MUCH more concentrated and direct relationship with him. This includes occasionally being possessed but it’s Fine, Don’t Worry About It :)

Team "would rather die than admit something's bothering them"

So for the first good chunk of their relationship, Bad Luck and Vash were more "fucking" than "dating". Bad Luck was really apprehensive about romantic entanglements, and had been taken advantage of by a friend, in the past. (While not THE reason he was kicked out of his community, it was definitely related.)

However, Vash-- aware of Luck's hesitance but not of the reasons why-- already had a little bit of a crush on him. So when Luck stupidly offered a FWB situation, Vash accepted, thinking he could be chill about it. He quickly realized, no, he could NOT be chill about it, and spent the next few months relentlessly pining and feeling guilty and wanting to broach the subject, but never saying anything.

Eventually, Vash's crush gets revealed, and by that point Bad Luck has kinda fallen in love with him and they get together and Bad Luck insists that it's all fine, water under the bridge. Truthfully, though, he feels a little betrayed, and has this sense of "why the fuck would you think that's a good idea" towards Vash, hanging over his head. But he also thinks he has no place feeling this way because he never told Vash why he was so hesitant (and still hasn't), and also he does love Vash now anyway, so there's really no point bringing this up now and messing with the status quo, right?

And that's just the beginning of their relationship. There's a whole bunch of other plot-related problems they never talk about until after things boil over. Eventually, they'll get their acts together and talk through everything, I promise. Eventually. It just, might take until after the plot's fully resolved for them to get there.

some of my personal favourite things to add in characters are dragon features/traits, or those of similar looking creatures (been getting interested in kobolds recently), obviously, but i also LOVE making them really colourful and giving them lots of fun accessories or outfits. Im not too good at actually designing or getting ideas for that kinda stuff though, so it can be a bit hard to *display* that i do like that lol

i have a few more ocs that aren’t here yet, because i want to be sure i like their designs before posting about ‘em. But ive been getting into a lot more alien/extraterrestrial, sci-fi, robot etc-like content and media so… lots of thoughts going on about that. MAYBE EXPECT TO SEE EM POP UP HERE AT SOME TIME!!! :3

I finally finished and handed in my thesis on Friday and it felt like such an incredible relief😭 I think I haven't felt so at peace in literal months because it was constantly looming over me but I felt too paralysed with fear to start writing. BUT that's finally over now! I still need to do my final exam now but that's only in October. Also I've started my master's degree programme on Thursday (at the same university that's why I could start despite not actually having my bachelor's degree yet) and I'm actually already looking forward to my classes :D

I feel like it really affected my mental wellbeing during that time though and especially in the last few months I found it much harder to keep in contact with online friends or even just go on social media, I got overwhelmed much more easily and it just felt too exhausting :( I lowkey feel bad for all the self ship postings and art and fanfics that I missed😭 So please, take this as a free pass to come into my inbox and gush about your f/o(s)! I'd love to hear about them🫶

It's been a while since I've finished a piece, and I ended up having a lot of fun with this one. Very much considering doing a similar one for Rhys and Alyss, and maybe one for Sweets and Vincent. Still not sure.

Since I haven't talked about any of my OCs here, have a bit of info about these two under the cut:

Emmerich (left) is a Third Eye Human; someone who has been "Touched" (has come in contact with) or altered in some way by an eldritch entity. In Em's case, the entity lives in a pocket dimension inside of his motorcycle helmet, and they've formed a close bond. When a being becomes a Third Eye, they usually go through some sort of physical changes, and for Em this mostly involved his eyes and the addition of more forming on the right side of his face over time, which he usually keeps hidden by his hair. He's able to communicate with it wordlessly by being able to sense its wants, needs, and intent, and it does the same with him, though no one knows where this entity came from or why it's living in a helmet, and it seems to want to keep that info to itself. Em is unsure how he hasn't gone completely mad yet from repeated exposure and contact with the entity, but he does know that it isn't hostile towards him or his friends for some reason.

Lucian (right) is a half-demon incubus who died many years before the story of Within begins. After he served the length of his punishment, he somehow convinced Hell's council to let him leave and get revenge on the man who killed him. One of the archdemons in the Lust Ring sired him, giving him the powers of a demon and an incubus while still keeping half of his human self intact, and he was basically given a free pass to move back and forth between Hell and the mortal realm for a price he's unaware of. He meets Emmerich pretty early on and promises to help him through a rough situation that reminds him of his life many years ago, his human half feeling a great amount of sympathy for Em. He keeps his hands and the lower half of his face covered with padded gloves and any kind of face mask (usually preferring his black handkerchief,) hiding his Mark of the Demon from the general public. His mark has left much of the flesh of his face burned away, showing only sharpened teeth and bone with long scabbed over burnt flesh, with a serpentine tongue hidden inside. His arms also look like they've been burned and covered in soot, with his nails sharpened into claws.

I find both fandom and original vore neat! I think at a point a friend of mine and myself made outlines of sorts of a story about a frog and dragonfly that the frog happened to eat the latter a decent amount. Even then, I'm going off of my memory here. - bat anon, who doesn't have the best memory KSJDJFF

i don't think like. one is more superior to the other or anything like that, its just that one form is way more popular than the other. doesn't make it the best or anythin, but its just like how it is in regular spaces- people are more comfortable talking about characters they know and are established than the ones someone made up that are unfamiliar to them. people are more likely to engage with familiar characters than an oc unfortunately, which is why its favored (though ive seen plenty of people around that arent comfy using canons in their vore content!)

i wish original works were more supported in the community though, original characters/content deserve it!
