My most cursed fixation is Blood C because its cursed in all senses of the word (please bear in mind i use cursed as an endearment i love it), it was born from Blood franchise which started with the film, then Blood+ was done, a MUCH more successful and generally well regarded anime. Which is admit is pretty good

And then CLAMP, ya know the studio behind Card Captor Sakura, the people who made everyone in Code Geass look like twinks, also people who did xxxHolic (four lovelie ladies btw own the studio, i love it)

Made an adaptation after all these adaptations, and they all aren’t connected. And somehow, Blood C evokes a feeling that it should have been a survival horror. I shit you not, it has the dichotomy of “normal school life by day, killing mosters by night” but also every frame is soaked in the uncanny valley feeling. Everything is so quiet. Like to me it reminds me of Resident Evil a little bit, or Forbidden Siren if anyone is familiar. I dont want to spoil anything but its so fucking good. And its only 12 episodes and it works perfectly as it is. I once made a dude watch it with me all the way because i need it crave more people to know about this bullshit. Its such a great fucking show. Its gorey, its perfect, it has a love triangle, massacre, some good old family bonding. It’s such a well fucking done horror i cant. Genuinely, they did such a good job of making it just plain weird and offputting and AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA also then there is a sequel film which is so gay. reeq lets his book drop off his view, toying with it with one hand. it just can't hold his attention, so he shifts his focus onto his partner, laid down with her head on his lap. reeq drops the novel and plays with her hair instead.

tart cracks her eyes open and watches his hands. seeing his mind vacant, she starts, "say, remember when you asked, would i still love you if you were a worm?"

reeq snorts. "why yes, i do! i remember perfectly well," he pinches her cheek lightly, "when you told me that you would feed me to your chocobo."

each only half-listening to the other, they both come into a realization with startled gasps (one notably more intense than the other).

"would you still love me if i were a man?" tart continues.

"...eh?" "--ahh?!"

"oh, shouldn't have said that," says tart.

"no, no, no, i'm sorry! you were saying something very important! i just--" reeq cuts himself off, shaking his head. he looks up, takes a deep breath, then exhales. he cups his hands around tart's face as he meets her gaze, and replies. "of course, i would still love you as a man. you're still you, and that's the person i love the most."

she smiles. "even if i'm different?"

"yes, even if you look different and sound different." tart puts her hands around his, and reeq holds her happily.

"even if i eat and live in the dirt?"

"pfft--of course, but did i catch correctly that you said 'man', not 'male worm'?"

"could turn into a wyrm, you never know," she grins.

reeq pokes at her taut cheeks. "a-ha! you mean wyrm, as in the dragons! i most definitely know of your ishgardian bloodline's prospensity for draconic transformation. you can't catch me with your sly wordplay, my dear!" he cackles proudly.

"got me~" tart laughs in return. then clears her throat and gives reeq a resolute smile. "thank you. i will think on it."

"mmhm. if it makes you happy, then by all means. just know that i love you no matter what."

tart shifts to lie on her side, hugging reeq's waist and burying her face in his chest. he puts a hand on her head and closes his eyes. content to let the day pass together.

still very much thinking about the earrings of darkness that nyx makes and puts on the emperor, as a way of very visually and publicly claiming the emperor (that isn't just their wedding rings).

i've always liked the idea that nyx is the more dominant one in their relationship. make no mistake, they are equals; both are immensely powerful entities, soulmates made for each other during the big bang. despite being the physically larger of the two, the emperor has always enjoyed it when nyx takes the lead. she likes it when nyx is possessive over her and in how she shows it: holding onto her arm when they are together outside the ziggurat, leaving violet lipstick marks on her face and neck, slipping her fingers into the biomechanical textures on her arms and chest.

(this isn't to say that the emperor can't be dominant. she often is, but it is usually because she knows when nyx wants her to be. nyx is a being that likes being taken care of worshipped by the one she loves. sometimes the emperor takes the lead in order to tend to nyx's needs.)

of course, nyx's favorite position is being on top of the emperor. she loves being able ride her and look down and see the effect she has on this great entity (in addition to the easy access to her face and body to kiss and touch as she pleases.) she loves being able to look down and admire just how beautiful the emperor is with her long vantablack hair and many large tentacles, while wearing the earrings that she gave her.

the emperor never takes off the earrings of darkness nyx made her. even her true shape in the black palace wears them. the only time they come off is if nyx makes new ones. nyx likes being able to dress the emperor, just as much as she likes being dressed by her as well.

(something something about the emperor being in control all of the time so it's nice to relinquish that control over to the person she adores, especially after those eons apart. something something about nyx having to endure the 8 million years apart from the emperor and having to serve the house of hades, so now that she finally has the emperor and is part of the great family, she never wants to be separated from the emperor again. something something about the two of them trusting each other that they are able to be their true selves with each other, express their true desires to one another, freely take and give to each other.)

this really all started because i wanted to give the emperor some more jewelry and the idea that underneath her stoic exterior, nyx likes people seeing that the emperor belongs to her.
