Not you dropping the soulmate idea into my head and thinking about how this all would apply to Pudding in a way. i have a dual-monitor setup where on the left is a vertical non-4k monitor (i really thought i was gonna use it more for coding but now it's just where discord / game wikis / spotify live lol) and on the right is my main monitor which is curved 4k, so i had a hell of a time finding something that works for both — but this shot of leyndell actually works beautifully because the erdtree sanctuary area fits perfectly on the left, and the rest of the city sits nicely on the right. the resolution discrepancy isn't too jarring either, which can be tricky when you're trying to make a single image flow relatively seamlessly between non-4k and 4k. i mean it's definitely not perfect, but i think it looks really really good

a v late recap of evermore

so i think Taylor Swift sensed that i was Going Through It and was like here you sad bitch, here’s another surprise album to help fix all that. cause good lord evermore is just what i (and i think we all) needed. i truly TRULY can’t believe we’re lucky enough to get a sister album to folklore, i love it so much. the first day it was out i drove myself 2 hours to the very end of the Cape and sat on an empty beach and cried to it and honestly??? magical. here are my thoughts on it that no one asked for:

first, as an overall here, this album complements folklore so well. it’s the spring to folklore’s autumn, it’s self-assured and warm and beautiful. each album shows off her lyrical genius so well and she only grows stronger here. when folklore came out, i was floored because the music was so different for her and so up my alley. each song’s production sucked me in and it was like she was confidently telling us “here is another genre i can work with” (masterfully at that). evermore feels different. it feels like Taylor is so comfortable in this creative space, she isn’t trying to fit into any new molds or expectations, she is just HERE, now, saying “this is who i am and this is my craft”. it’s really been a privilege to watch her grow as an artist. ok. here we go

YESSSSSSS I love this!!! Hehe. That was one of the most fun things about writing the beginning of Mood Tattoo. Because they’re both so incredibly aware of one another - and vent that interest with their overall annoyance lol. So you have Eliott complaining about Lucas and just happening to mention his blue, blue eyes and the way his hair falls down over his face. Oh and the way his hand twitches because he wants to brush it back himself? Well just never mind that 😂. He does the same thing in the first few sentences of Mood Tattoo when he’s describing the way Lucas is jogging to catch up to the group. This sentence is what I’m thinking of: “His pants hang low on one side of his hips, not yet cinched and the cut of his hip bone stands out as they drift lower still, tanned skin that looks far too soft for the body it’s attached to.” I liked hitting you guys immediately with the fact that Eliott is so totally and completely attracted to Lucas and how much it is seriously pissing him off at this point in the story lmao.
