something i think no one was expecting is that kim didn't "break up with jimmy". she broke their relationship, she broke up with them being together and all the awful things that came with it. and i believe that's one of the reasons why it feels so heartwrenching: look at their eyes when she's speaking to him in that last scene... she's never looked at him with such softness. she's never loved him so much, they are bonded by something so deep that it couldn't be any different.

but that's not the point.

she loves him, he loves her. she makes him happy, he makes her happy. she'd kill for him, he'd die for her. but kim is willing to give up her love, her happiness, her whole life to make things right — to help others... because she's good at that, remember? she makes the selfless choice to sacrifice it all, but it's just not about jimmy. that's still her jimmy, the love of her life. she still looks at him and he's her winner, her best friend. but no amount of love is going to justify leaving a trail of corpses behind. once again, she's no walter white, no lady macbeth — she's kim wexler.

The funniest part to me about the scene where Ava does her Halo blast and protects Beatrice and Miguel gets thrown to the side is that he’s not even mad. It’s not brought up or anything, and it’s like, “yeah no that makes sense that’s your girl I get it no worries”. Like, he’s super chill about it and I loved that
