WHAT NEEDS TO HAPPEN IN SOLAR OPPOSITES SEASON 4
*terry and korvo to resolve their dispute from the little mountain lake episode*
*the replicants (or pupa) to call terry and korvo “dad” or “dads”
*The valentines special to LIVE UP TO ITS NAME JESUS CHRIST DONT DO THIS TO ME, PLEASE LET THEM BE ROMANTIC PWEEEASE I BEG*
More yumyalack moments! Poor emo boy:((
Jesse focused episode
TERVO WEDDING TERVO WEDDING TERVO WEDDING
What will probably happen in solar opposites season 4
The dispute will be brushed off but then later on they come back to it and make up/ just burry it
The pupa will mistakenly call them dad or dads and then terry starts crying
Mayhaps ONE ounce of romance….pwease 🥺
Yumyalack does his own thing/ side mission
More screetime dedicated to the wall (which I’ll happily take as well)
(Might come back to this post when the episodes actually release to see what I got right, lawl xD)
Solar opposites season 4 ‼️SPOILERS‼️
*typing on August 14th, 11pm*
Okay so…I was only right about a few things XD
Their specific dispute that we saw last season (little mountain lake) WAS actually talked about/ mentioned? But mostly through the red goobler (Chris) explaining it to Jesse when she had her own goobler. I actually liked that him and korvo actually met again so it could be explained that for korvos goobler to disappear he has to get over that specific issue he has (like Jesse did).
Pupa hasn’t called them dads yet, but he acts more of a toddler (and they acknowledge that what their family needs to do is important for the pupa and I like that structure they had) which is AMAZING, because holy shit they act like a family so many times this season 😫💝💕💕 (and call each other a family and it’s amazing 🥺💕💕)
ONE OUNCE OF ROMACE?!?!!?! ERmMMMM more like 10 cups of it 0//////0 we were FED a BOUNTIFUL this season and the village is thriving.
Cough cough pinroll
Yumyalack does do his own thing and gets a bit of characterization but nothing else really. The birth a day episode was like a little glimpse of it, however it was very nice :3 and I like the way they’re taking his character.
More screen time DEFINITELY, and FINALLY A MOMENT OF FUCKING PEACE AND TRANQUILITY IN THE WALL THANK FUCKING CHRIST IT WAS A RELIEF. The silvercops also got alot of attention here as well! And it was pretty good; the world that was created by symbolically establishing anti-cop messages (which I LOVE) was amazingly done and I appreciate that they didn’t shy away from showing the ugly side of things (ie. discrimination, violence, gentrification, etc).
The ending of the silvercops plot kinda confused me though like wtf? Uhhhhh what’s happening….?
❤️ 💕bonus stuff!! 💝💞
Canonical terry dyscalculia? FUCK YES YESSS
WE GOT MORE SHLORP WORLD BUILDING YESS
Aisha characterization yayyyyy!!! I love her so much 🥺
Jesse and yumyalack sibling bonding!!!! Yippie yippie yippie
Not gonna lie the way korvo acts this season makes me wanna punch him, like why is he a dick?? Sure his character in early seasons was grumpy but he never really went out of his way to be an ass, just controlling or salty, but no! The whole goobler thing with him and Jesse and him roasting yumyalack went way too far (in my opinion) and it also just made me uncomfortable like dude, that’s ur kids SHUT THE FUCK UPPP rahhhhhh.
Terry and korvos relationship definitely improves though.
The ending of the season…..*deep breath* I’m mixed about it, like I know it’ll be solved in the upcoming valentines special but a little part of me is worried that it’s just gonna be a “hahah we got you, they’re actually gonna be humans and get discriminated against again” and that makes me scream.
I’m mixed about it because I’m curious about how this’ll work yet I fucking hate how they couldn’t just talk it out at home (like they usually do)
I just *hhHHYGYGYGYgy* I..I’m scared, but also excited.
Overall, I did really like this season, a lot of the parts made me happy stim and about make my heart skip beats. I’m so ecstatic for what’s next 🥺💕💕

Papa Bird
Summary: When Sam’s oldest daughter is chosen to represent her dojo in a state-wide taekwondo championship for her age group, she requests that her mother take her to the fight, leaving Sam home to take care of his youngest daughter
 Word Count:1871
 Square Filled: Next Generation Fic
 Pairings: Sam Wilson x Female Reader
 Warnings: Fluff, breaking objects, protective/ proud father
Written for @star-spangled-bingo
That morning, Sam was busy helping his wife prepare their daughter for her upcoming tournament. He was kind of sulking that Darlene wouldn’t let him come with her.
 “Remind me why I can’t go again...”
 “Daddy, I love you but sometimes you can be a little bit... extra. Remember when I won the finals?”
 “Can’t a father be proud of his daughter?”
 “You can be proud but you celebrated so loud, they had to escort you out the dojo... Oh! And remember when I lost that spelling bee final? You threatened to beat up the judge...”
 “Hey, you and I both know they were cheating,” he countered.
 “Daddy...”
 “Sam, you know your daughter has a point. Besides, it’ll give you a chance to spend some time with Amelia,” Y/N stated, pointing to the small girl who was happily enjoying her Cheerios. Sam smiled and kissed her head.
 “You wanna hang out with daddy today, kiddo?” Amelia nodded and offered him some of her Cheerios which he took making her give a cheeky grin.
  Sam couldn’t help but smile in return before helping Darlene get her stuff ready to go.
Once Amelia was done eating and the breakfast stuff had been cleaned up, Sam went to say goodbye to Darlene and his Y/N.
 “Say, bye, mama.”
 “Bye, mama,” Amelia cooed, opening and closing her small hand in a wave.
 “Bye, Darlene. You go out there and kick some major a-butt,” Sam caught himself before he swore in front of Amelia and after seeing the reproachful look from his wife. Darlene grinned at her father and got in the car.
 Sam watched with Amelia as they pulled out down the drive.
 “What do you want to do now, pumpkin?”
 “Red Wing?”
 “You wanna play with Red Wing? Okay, let’s go play with Red Wing...”
 A few moments later, Sam was controlling the drone while Amelia gleefully chased after it, squealing in delight. He got a little carried away and accidently knocked a vase from its perch and shattering on the floor as a quasi-violent reminder as to why he was not to use the drone inside the house. This time, Sam did let out an expletive.
 “I tell mama!”
 “No, no, no! Don’t tell your mother! Here, let’s get you a cookie. Do you want a cookie?”
 Sam ran to get a cookie for Amelia which bought him a few moments of silence as he cleaned up the broken fragments of the vase.
 “Okay, let’s go to the park instead. You wanna walk to the park?”
 “Yeah! Park!” Sam smiled at her and went to prepare her little outing bag.
...
 At the park, Sam watched Amelia run around playing and giving him a rest for a while.
 “Hey, man...” Sam looked up to see Clint standing there, coffee cup in one hand and Lucky’s leash in the other.
 “Hey, Clint. What are you doing here?”
 “Taking Lucky for a walk... and your missus wanted us to check on you,” Clint replied, getting his phone and showing Sam the group message and sitting next to him. Sam grumbled a bit.
 “She just wants to make sure you’re not driving yourself crazy... So, Darlene has a tournament today, huh?”
 “Yeah... I am so proud of that girl. She’s already got her red belt and almost up to her next...” Before Clint could respond, a shrill scream filled the air. The two heroes jumped to their feet in preparation for danger only to see Amelia tearing across the yard.
 “Doggy! Doggy, doggy, doggy!” Amelia was so excited to see Lucky.
 “Amelia, what do you say?”
 “I pat doggy? Pwease?” Amelia looked up at Clint with her big brown eyes and melting his heart.
 “Yeah, you can pat Lucky,” he smiled. Amelia threw her arms around the dog’s neck and snuggled him. Lucky licked her head in return.
 Clint let Lucky off his leash so he could go off to play with Amelia.
 “That girl’s gonna be the death of me,” Sam sighed and sat back down. Clint laughed and sat back down next to him.
 “Takes after you...”
 “I know and that’s the bit that scares me...”
 The two men continued talking and catching up when they were suddenly alerted Lucky’s frantic barking. They looked up to see Amelia had climbed up a high piece of playground equipment and was about to jump down to a lower platform. To the older and bigger kids, the jump may have not been so bad but to a child as small as Amelia, it could be disastrous.
 “Amelia! Get down from there right this instant!” Sam bellowed, getting up to stomp over to her.
 Amelia gave her father a sidewise glance before deciding she was going to make that jump anyway. Sam managed to get there in time just as her feet launched from the surface, catching her midair.
 “Again, again!” she cheered.
 “No, no more,” Sam breathed, walking back to Clint. “I think we’re going to go home for lunch. Besides, one of us needs a change of diaper.”
 “Not me! I big girl! I use potty!” Amelia stated as a matter of factly.
 “Right, just daddy then...” Clint laughed and called Lucky over to him.
 “Listen, you won’t tell her mother about that little incident, will you?”
 “Hey man, I won’t bring it up but if she asks, I’m not gonna lie,” he grinned.
 “Great thanks,” he grumbled. “Anyway, see you later.” Clint said goodbye and headed off as Sam packed up Amelia’s things.
 “Daddy mad?” Amelia asked her little lip stuck out in a pout.
 “No, daddy’s not mad. You scared daddy.”
 “I sowwy.”
 “It’s okay, baby girl. What do you want for lunch?”
 “PB ‘n J sammich?”
 “A peanut butter and jelly sandwich? I think that can be arranged.”
...
 After lunch, Sam put Amelia down for a nap which gave him the chance to complete a few chores without being interrupted by an enthusiastic three year old. He never thought he’d be suited to the quiet domestic lifestyle but he settled into it reasonable well. One thing Sam could never say was that it was dull. His daughters always kept him on his toes. When Darlene was Amelia’s age, she was just as mischievous and spirited. Sam wouldn’t trade his girls for the world.
 An hour had passed by the time Amelia woke up from her nap and wandered out into the living room and by now, Sam was watching some trashy day time TV.
 “Hey, Milly. Did you have a good sleep?” Amelia nodded, climbing up onto his lap and cuddling close to her father’s chest.
 “Daddy, I hungwy.”
 “You’re hungry? Let’s see what we can do about that. You want some... frog’s legs and wine? No? I thought all kids liked that stuff. How about some coffee and caviar? Not that either? What about...” Sam continued listing ridiculous food/ drink combinations that he knew a child wouldn’t eat as he made his way to the kitchen with her.
 “Cheese! I want cheese!” she blurted out before he could get out the next combo.
 “Oh, you want cheese... Should have guessed, huh? Let’s see if we have some,” he said, going to the pantry.
 “Hmm... well, it doesn’t look like we have any. Guess you’ll have to have broccoli and green tea after all.”
 “Daddy,” Amelia whined, pointing to the big bag of string cheese, her face visibly pained.
 “Look at that. We do have some after all. Guess you’ll want a juice box with that?” Sam laughed at the eager way she nodded her head.
 Once Amelia had finished her snack, Sam went back into the living room and changed the channel to the one that was locally streaming the tournament. Darlene’s division wasn’t yet up but it was coming soon. As he watched, Amelia got up and wobbled in front of the TV, ‘punching’ and ‘kicking’ like the big kids. Sam smiled and took a video of it to send to his family and friends later. He was sure that they were getting a little annoyed with the amount he could send in one day but he didn’t care. Sam loved each and every one of his girls’ achievements no matter how big or small.
 Finally, Darlene’s age group was up. Sam watched as she stepped up to the mat. From his seat at home, he was cheering her on as if he was there. Amelia cheered too, not entirely sure why but daddy was happy so it had to be good.
 Round after round Darlene won until it got to the last round. Darlene’s opponent was a girl much taller and bigger than her. Sam was on the edge of his seat as the match commenced. The girl was good but Darlene was better. It lasted a little longer than the others but in the end, Darlene won. Sam jumped up with a loud cheer.
 “Yes! She won! Darlene won!”
 “Yay!” Sam picked up Amelia and spun around with her. “Sissy won!”
 Sam felt his eyes tear up a bit as pride swelled in his chest. He quickly wiped them away and continued celebrating with Amelia. Sam couldn’t wait for Darlene to come home.
...
 Later that night, Sam had just given Amelia her bath and was putting her to bed when he heard the sounds of the front door.
 “I think mama and your big sister are finally home,” he smiled.
 “Yay!” Amelia ran to meet them, her little legs going as fast as they possibly carry her.
 Darlene scooped her up as soon she got close enough.
 “Hey there, baby sis!”
 “Sissy! Sissy! I saw’d you won! Watch me! Watch me!” Darlene put Amelia back on the ground so she could show her some of the ‘moves’ she had learned earlier in the day which included an attempt at a headstand for some reason.
 “Oh, wow! So good!”
 In the meantime, Y/N walked over to Sam, wrapping her arms around his shoulders and kissing him. Sam smiled against her lips.
 “Hey, handsome. Had a good day?” she smiled.
 “Pretty good. We went to the park this morning, came home for lunch, Amelia had her nap, then we watched Darlene kick some butt,” he grinned.
 “I see... you want to tell me why the vase in the hallway is no longer there?”
 “I would very much not like to...” Y/N could help but chuckle and shake her head. She looked over at the girls who were happily playing together.
 “We made some pretty awesome kids, Mr. Wilson,” she smiled.
 “We sure did, Mrs. Wilson,” he smiled back.
 For Sam, every day with his daughters was a new adventure as he watched them become the amazing people they were growing into. Sam loved every second of fatherhood and he couldn’t wait to see what tomorrow’s venture would bring.

Painted Pink Room
Tumblr media
A/N: @talkfastromance4 mentioned that a part 2 to this would be cool and I had some ideas for it, so here we are.
Word Count: 2.3k
And away, and away we go!
__
It took a month for McKenna to finally sleep through the night in her own room, not that Calum and Luke minded in the slightest. Nap time was fine, but there was something about sleeping in the dark alone, even with the aid of a nightlight, that sent McKenna scurrying into bed with her dads every night.
So when Calum rolled over one morning and found empty space before his hand smacked into Luke’s arm, he shot awake. “Where’s Mack?!”
Luke mumbled angrily in his sleep. “Shh, Cal, I’m sleeping…”
“And Mack is missing!”
That got Luke’s attention, blue eyes snapping opening. He sat up straight, throwing back the covers. “What do you mean she’s missing?!”
“Do you see her in here?! Did she sleep in her own bed all night?”
“She better have otherwise she might be actually missing…”
Both men jumped out of bed and raced down the hall to McKenna’s room. And found her peacefully sleeping in her bed, Duke and Petunia curled up on the floor next to her. “How is she still asleep?” Luke asked in a whisper.
Calum shrugged, checking the time on his phone before groaning. “Probably cuz it’s five in the fuckin’ morning…”
“You woke me up at five in the morning because Mack was asleep in her own bed?!”
“I panicked, okay?! She’s never spent the whole night in her room before, what was I supposed to think?!”
“Sssshhhhh!” Luke shushed, gesturing for them to leave the room. “You wanna wake her up, or go back to bed? I, for one, vote for going back to bed.”
Calum yawned, agreeing with Luke that more sleep was needed. “Hey, Lu?”
“Yeah?”
“She did it. Whole night in her own room,” he smiled in pride.
“Yeah,” Luke matched Calum’s grin for a second. “But I’m kinda gonna miss her elbow in my ribs.”
“Yeah. Me too…”
And as much as they missed the little body squeezed in next to them, they did enjoy the extra uninterrupted hours of sleep. They also enjoyed McKenna tiptoeing into the room with both dogs at her side to wake them up, asking for breakfast.
~~~
“Alright, little miss, how do we want our hair today?” Calum asked her after Luke helped her get dressed. “Up or down?” He swung her up and sat her down on the bathroom counter, spinning her around so they both faced the mirror.
“Up!”
“Ponytail, braid, or bun?”
“Tail!”
“Great choice!” Calum grinned before setting to work, taking in pride at how well he’d learn to do her hair over the past handful of weeks. “Did Daddy tell you what we’re doing today?”
“‘Ool?” she asked, cocking her head to the side and turning a little.
“Gotta sit still for me, darling.” He gently set her straight again. “But, yeah, you’re right. We’re gonna go swimming today. Do you know why?”
She thought about it for a second, her little face scrunching in the mirror.
“You know you scrunch your face just like Daddy when you’re thinking,” Calum noted.
“Like Daddy?” she asked, scrunching her face more.
“Just like him.”
“Eyes like Papa!”
“Yep, eyes just like mine,” Calum smiled at her. “Can you remember why Daddy said we’re swimming today?”
“No.”
“It’s because we’re meeting some friends today!”
“Fwends?!”
“Yeah! Uncle Ashton and Uncle Mikey are gonna come over, so you can meet them and your cousin Wyatt.”
“Wots of fwends!”
“A little bit, yeah. But they’re excited to meet you.”
“Me?!”
“Yes, you! So, what do you say? Wanna go swimming with your new friends today?”
“Yes!”
“That’s my girl! C’mon, let’s go find Daddy.”
~~~
There was a small downside to having told McKenna that friends would be coming over to swim. It was the fact that she had very little concept of how time worked. So any sound of a car driving past was met with an excited gasp of “Fwends?!” and Calum and Luke having to shake their heads and go, “No, Mack. It’s not time yet. We have to have lunch and a nap first.” A cycle of conversation that repeated on an endless loop even after lunch had been eaten and the nap had been taken.
“Seriously, where the fuck are they?” Luke asked in a low, aggravated tone.
“Your guess is as good as mine,” Calum replied in a similar tone, huffing and pulling out his phone. Then he sighed in relief, flashing the message at Luke. “On their way. 5 minutes ago.”
“Which means they should pulling up any-”
“Fwends?!” McKenna interrupted as a car turned into the drive.
“That better fuckin’ be them,” Luke grumbled, marching for the door and pulling it open. “Hey, ya made it!” he hollered.
Ashton laughed as he slung a bag over his shoulder. “Sorry mate. Someone took forever to go down for a nap.”
“S’alright. Still got most of the afternoon. How long can these two swim for anyhow?” Calum pointed out, stepping onto the porch next to Luke with McKenna at his side. “Look, Mack, our friends are here! You wanna say hi?”
McKenna peered around Calum’s leg over at Ashton and Michael, her eyes wide. “Big wike you…” she whispered.
Calum laughed. “Yeah, Uncle Ashton and Uncle Mikey are big like me and Daddy. But look! Wyatt’s little like you.”
“Hey, McKenna,” Michael said, crouching down in front of her. “I’m Mike, and this is Wyatt. Wyatt, do you wanna say hi to McKenna?”
“Hi,” the little boy said, before glancing up at Michael, and whispering “Swimming now, Daddy?”
“You don’t wanna say hi to your uncles first?” Michael whispered back.
“Oh…” Wyatt turned his attention to Calum and Luke. “Hi.”
“Hey, bud,” Luke chuckled. “Mack, they said hi. Do you want to say hi back?”
“Hi…” she offered up shyly.
“How ‘bout we hit the pool, yeah?” Ashton asked, trying to steamroll through the shy hellos.
“Great idea!” Luke agreed. “C’mon, Mack, let’s go get your swimsuit on.”
“Otay!”
From there, conversation flowed much more fluidly as the four men leaned against the pool walls, chatting about work ideas while McKenna and Wyatt splashed about on the steps, engaging in their own imaginary play and toddler babble. “So how are you guys adjusting and everything?” Ashton asked once they’d worn down work ideas.
“Fine I guess,” Luke said with a shrug.
“Yeah. She actually slept the whole night in her own bed last night,” Calum added.
“Shit, that’s a huge step. Have you reached the tantrum stage yet?” Michael asked.
Calum and Luke looked at each other and shook their heads. “No,” answered Calum. “She gets whiny and pouts about things sometimes. But no major meltdowns so far.”
“But don’t jinx us,” Luke added with a laugh.
Just then there was a particularly loud splash and all of them turned as Wyatt came up sputtering, before letting out a scared wail. “Whoa!” Ashton rushed, stepping over and helping Wyatt back up on the step. “Deep breath. You’re okay. What happened? Did you slip?”
“She! Pushed! Me!” he continued to cry, pointing at McKenna who scowled at him.
Calum grabbed McKenna, pulling her away from Wyatt before setting her on the ledge in front of him. “Did you push Wyatt?”
She nodded.
Calum sighed. “Why?”
“He mean.”
“He was mean to you?”
“Uh-huh.” And to demonstrate, she dipped her hand in the water and splashed Calum in the face.
“Hey!” Calum said sternly, grabbing her hand. “We don’t splash people in the face. That’s not nice.”
“He did!”
“Oh…” Calum said in understanding. “He splashed you in the face so you pushed him?”
“Uh-huh.”
“Okay, but we don’t push people, darling. That’s not nice either. If you have a problem, you come get me or Daddy, okay?”
“Otay…”
“Okay. So what do we say when we’re mean to someone and hurt them?”
“Sowwy…”
“Don’t say sorry to me. Say sorry to Wyatt.”
“Sowwy ‘Ayatt…”
“It’s otay,” he sniffed.
Ashton and Calum set both kids back to play before making their way back over to Michael and Luke. “So what happened?”
“I think Wyatt accidentally splashed her in the face and she got pissed, so she shoved him,” Calum recapped.
“So we’re raising a vigilante? Cool,” Luke laughed. “Good to know.”
“Shut up, it’s not funny,” Calum scolded.
“Eh,” Michael shrugged. “In all fairness there’s a 50/50 shot that Wyatt splashed her on purpose.”
“That’s true,” Ashton nodded. “Tried to break the habit about a billion times, but hey, maybe he just needed to get shoved to make the lesson stick ya know? They’re kids. No one got hurt. That’s what matt- Wyatt James, don’t splash her.”
Wyatt’s hands were poised in the water, ready to splash at McKenna again. He giggled, not thinking Ashton was serious and gave McKenna a face full of water. On instinct, she shoved him off the step again.
“Dude, what did I just tell you?” Ashton groaned as he went over to get Wyatt.
“Alright, we’re done,” Calum said, following Ashton to collect McKenna. “That’s enough swimming for the day.”
“Good call,” Ashton nodded.
“Papa, no!” the toddlers shrieked as they got taken out of the water.
“Yeah, I bet you’ll listen next time then, huh?” Ashton asked.
“Papa!” Wyatt continued to sob as Ashton wrapped him in a towel and sat with him in a chair. “I… wanna… swim!”
“Me too!” McKenna hiccuped.
“Maybe later. Right now we’re taking a break,” Calum told them both.
“Daddy!” McKenna cried.
“Oh, you’re mad at me so you want Daddy? Alright, see how far you get,” Calum chuckled, as Luke and Michael made their way over to the rest of the group.
“What’s up, sweetheart?” Luke asked, taking McKenna from Calum.
“Swim, pwease?”
“Nope. We’re all taking a break.”
She let out a loud cry, burying her head into Luke, who reached over to shove Michael. “I told you not to jinx us, ya cunt.”
Michael laughed, “Wait til she has a tantrum over something completely ridiculous.”
The men continued to talk, while whispering small assurances to the toddlers that “It’s alright. You’re fine,” until the hiccuped sobs turned to soft sniffles.
“You understand why Papa had you take a break?” Michael spoke softly to Wyatt. “We don’t splash people in the face.”
“Accident…”
“The first time, maybe it was. But the second time we all watched you. Papa even told you not to, and you did it anyway. That’s why McKenna pushed you, and that’s why we all had to take a break.”
“Oh… Sowwy…”
“Not to me. To McKenna for splashing her, and to Papa for not listening.”
“Sowwy Papa.”
“Thank you, bud,” Ashton smiled at his son. “I love you.”
“Wuv you. Sowwy, ‘Kenna.”
“It otay.”
“What else do you say, sweetheart?” Luke guided. “Papa already warned you about pushing people the first time, that’s why you had to take a break.”
“Sowwy ‘Ayatt.”
“It’s otay.”
“Daddy?” McKenna asked, tracing her fingers over Luke’s painted nails.
“What’s up, sweetheart?”
“Dis pwetty.”
Luke waggled his fingers. “They are pretty, huh?”
“Mhm. Mine wike dat?”
“Yeah, we can get your nails painted.”
“Me too?” Wyatt asked, perking up.
“If you want, bud, sure,” Michael nodded, before directing his attention to Calum and Luke, “You guys got nail polish? We can do it now.”
“Yeah, we got a whole bunch,” Calum answered. “I’ll go get the stuff. Lu, you wanna get her changed out of her swimsuit?”
“On it.”
Fifteen minutes later found the group hunkered down in the living room, nail polish bottles scattered on the coffee table while little fingernails were swiped with pretty colors. “Tada!” Luke cheered as he capped a bottle of bright red polish. “Look, your nails are just like mine, now.”
“Papa too!”
“Oh, I dunno. Does Papa wanna match with us?” Luke asked Calum, waving the bottle back and forth.
Calum looked at his nails, and shrugged. “Eh, fuck it. Go ahead.”
“You want the red, or do you want your usual black?”
“Red’s fine.”
“Alright, Mack, you wanna help me paint Papa’s fingers?”
“Yeah!”
“Careful not to smudge hers,” Calum warned lightly as he settled back, giving Luke one of his hands.
Carefully, Luke held his own fingers over McKenna’s on the brush to guide her as she painted Calum’s nails for him.
On the other side of the coffee table, Ashton was blowing on Wyatt’s fingers to help the glittery purple nail polish dry. “You know, Daddy used to have hair kinda like this.”
Wyatt looked over at Michael and laughed. “Daddy hair purple!”
“My hair was lilac, not purple,” Michael corrected as he swiped black nail polish across his own nails.
“Not the lilac. The…” Ashton snapped his fingers as he thought. “Fuck what was it? It was like purple, blue, and black all at once.”
“Galaxy. Yeah, that one was fun.”
“Probably my favorite hair color of yours honestly,” Calum told him.
“Yeah, you ever gonna dye your hair again, Mike?” Luke asked.
“Maybe when you finally decide to dye yours.”
“I did dye my hair!”
“You’re blonde, and you dyed your hair more blonde. Doesn’t count.”
“How does that not count?!”
“Cuz you gotta dye it another color.”
“It was another color!”
“No, it was a different shade. Not the same thing.”
Luke made sputtering sounds of disbelief. “Cal! C’mon, tell Mike it’s the same thing.”
Calum snorted. “I’m with Mike on this one. Dying your hair a different shade, isn’t the same as dying it a different color.”
“You’re supposed to be on my side.”
“Not if that side’s wrong, I’m not.”
“You’re an ass for 1. And for 2, your nails are done.”
“Very pwetty,” McKenna beamed, proud of her handiwork.
“Thank you very much, darling,” Calum said, leaning down to press a kiss to her forehead. “Now we all match. Me, you, and Daddy.”

A/N: @marvelgirl7 submitted an adorable Halloween prompt to @the-ss-horniest-book-club that I simply couldn't pass up!! Hope you love it!
Pairing: Bucky x Reader
Word Count: 807
Warnings: death by fluff!
Tumblr media
“Tags, chweck! Pants, chweck!” You hear your daughter sounding off from her bedroom. You giggle as she continues down her outfit. You shake your hands over the kitchen sink before wiping them off and heading back to her room.
You lean against the doorframe she gets to “Boots, chweck!” so loudly pronounced it scares the white kitten off her bed. She insisted on looking EXACTLY like your husband when she found an old black and white picture of him, and he told her it was her favorite color, blue. You chuckled which earned your daughter’s attention and a small frown.
“Mommy, am I missing someteen?” Her blue eyes, an exact match to your husband’s, round in concern.
You kneel down to look her in the eye. “Honey you look amazing! You’re just missing one teeny tiny little thing.”
“Wat dat Mommy?”
“A smile,” and with that you tickle her just at her waist. She squeals and laughs. “Mommy ‘top it!”
“Okay I’ll stop,” you straighten up, wincing as your knee cracks slightly. “Are you going to hide here in your room until Daddy gets home?”
“How many will that be?” she asks seriously.
“Let’s look at your clock,” you bend down this time and point to the first number on the digital clock. “What number is this?”
“Four,” came the right answer. You grinned at your smart little girl.
“And what number is this?” You point to the next number.
She rolls her eyes at you, which was also too much like her dad. “Four again Mommy!” She giggles and finishes. “And dat a 8!”
You giggle along with her. “That’s right! So when the numbers change to 5, 2, and 5, Daddy will be home. Do you think you can wait that long?”
Her face turned serious again. “Yes I can, but can I get Awpine pwease?”
“Of course!”
Your phone pinged; you looked down at the message and smiled. “Becca! Daddy’s faster than I thought he’d be! Are you gonna hide?”
Becca came running down the hall, with the cat limp in her hands. “I’m comin’! I’m hidin’! Go ‘way!” She waved you away from her door and shut it firmly. You walked back to the kitchen to finish straightening up before trick or treating started later.
Before too long, you heard the garage door opening. Bucky had been bugging you all week to know what Becca was dressing up as for Halloween; you kept telling him you were sworn to secrecy and locked your lips to be cute. Bucky pouted but you had made up for it by promising he would be the one to take her trick or treating. Bucky came into the house with a thump of his tactical bag and a grin. You turned to face him and busted out laughing.
“What?” Bucky’s lips pouted. “Do you not like my costume?”
You recovered from your laughing fit to answer. “Honey I love it, but I can't imagine how Becca's gonna react ” Bucky smiled, mollified that he had made a decent choice. “But she’s hiding so you’ll need to find her.” You winked at Bucky as you raised your voice just slightly so Becca could hear you.
“Becca! Where are you?” he called with a grin as he looked around the living room. “Becca!” He moved into the kitchen, then slowly down the hall. He noticed her door shut and he turned to you raising a finger to his lips.
While your heart melted at the love Bucky clearly had for his daughter, it was nothing compared to what Bucky felt when he opened the door and Becca bounded into his arms. “DADDY!” He hugged her tightly, turning to you long enough to mouth you a ‘thank you’ before putting her down.
“Baby girl, WHAT do you have on?” Bucky’s grin matched Becca’s and for once you had your phone out to document the moment.
“I’m YOU,” she stated proudly. “I even gots your tags.” She lifted the silver chain and Bucky thought his heart couldn’t get any bigger or more full of love. Then Becca gave her dad a critical look. “Daddy?”
“Yes baby girl?”
“Does Uncle Sam know what you got on?”
Bucky scrunched his nose as he laughed. “You bet! Are you ready to go trick or treating now?”
“What about Mommy?”
Bucky started to answer and stopped. He didn’t have a good answer. Luckily you appeared in the hallway and both of them gasped at your costume and wig. “What do you think Becca?”
She clapped and ran at your legs hugging you. “You wook wike Aunt Nat!”
Bucky eyed the black suit you had pulled and tugged on and wiggled his brows at you. “Aunt Nat has nothin’ on your momma, Becca.” He looked down at his little girl then at you, his pregnant wife, and repeated his question. “Are you ready to go?”
“Yes!” chorused down the hall. And off the three of you went.

A Little Emergency
Pairing: Drarry (Harry Potter / Draco Malfoy)
Rating: G
Words: 759
Summary: Draco gets a call while working late. It turns out Harry’s regressed and scared and needs his carer there to take care of him. Naturally, Draco is more than willing to help!
Notes: Yet another self-indulgent regressor!Harry fic here! Once again, lots of baby talk on Harry’s part! If you liked this, please share it! If you’d like to support me, you can do so on Ko-fi!
Draco had been working late when his phone rang. He’d been stuck on night shifts at St. Mungo’s for the past month, which put him in a position of rarely getting to spend any time with Harry. Despite this, he’d text Harry whenever he had breaks, though by this point in the night, Harry would usually be sleeping. In fact, Harry had messaged only a couple of hours before that he was off to bed. Even more worrying was the fact Harry knew he was only supposed to call if there was an emergency. Draco was lucky not to have a patient at the moment, and he took the call within a few rings.
“Harry? Is something wrong?” Harry didn’t respond at first, but Draco could hear sniffling. “Darling, are you crying?”
“C-Can you come home, pwease?” Harry replied, voice shaky. “’m scawed.”
Any other time, Draco probably would have been at least a little cross with Harry for worrying him like that. Hearing Harry’s baby-talk, which he’d come to learn came with a truly childlike state of mind, changed things. As far as little Harry was concerned, being scared was an emergency, and so Draco decided he’d treat it like one.
“Of course,” Draco said gently. “I’ll be home in a few minutes. Do you want to wait for me in the living room, or would it be better if I came to where you are?”
“Come in hewe. Don’t wanna go outside.” Harry whimpered after that, as if he was trying to hold back from crying more, and Draco felt his heart absolutely breaking. He hated seeing Harry upset, and hearing him sound so scared was awful.
“I’ll be there soon, don’t worry. And Harry? I love you, and everything’s going to be all right.”
“Mkay, wove you too.”
Draco then ended the call and rushed out of the office, quickly swinging by his boss’s to let her know he was leaving early. He apparated home before she even had the chance to ask why he was headed out in such a rush. Once home, he headed straight for the bedroom, where he was certain Harry would be. He knocked gently on the door before opening it, making sure he wouldn’t scare Harry more.
“Harry?” he called quietly. “I’m home.”
Harry had made a nest of pillows and blankets on the bed. He cautiously poked his head out from under one of the blankets, saying softly, “Ovew hewe.”
“Mind if I join you?” Draco asked as he neared the bed. By way of response, Harry pushed up the blankets so Draco could come under. Once Draco was with him, Harry tossed the blankets back over them and quickly latched on to his boyfriend. Draco wrapped his arms tight around Harry, who was now crying into Draco’s shirt. He ran his hands through Harry’s hair and kissed the top of his head. “It’s all right now, my little prince. I’m here, nothing’s going to hurt you.”
Harry held on to Draco as tight as he could, but didn’t say anything. “Did you have a bad dream?” Draco asked. Harry nodded. “Do you want to talk about it?”
Harry shook his head. “Jus’ want it to go ‘way,” he said into Draco’s shirt.
“I know, baby, I know,” Draco soothed, continuing to run his hands through Harry’s hair. Harry was calming a little now, at least. “I’m here now, I’ll make all the bad dreams go away. Nothing will ever hurt you as long as I’m here. I’ll keep you safe, baby boy.”
“P-Promise?” Harry asked, peeking up at Draco.
“I pinky promise. You’re safe now, my little prince. I’m gonna protect you.”
Harry relaxed a bit. “Okay,” he said, twisting around a bit to snuggle up better against Draco. “Mmm, cuddles,” he demanded.
Draco chuckled. “Your wish is my command.” Harry giggled and finally relaxed fully as Draco cuddled him, holding him tightly and giving him lots of little kisses. They stay like that for a while, until Harry is almost asleep. Almost.
“Dwaco?” Harry calls softly.
“Yes, my darling?”
“Sowwy I maked you weave wowk...”
Draco squeezed Harry tightly against him and kissed the top of Harry’s head. “It’s more than all right, my sweet little prince. I told you to call when there’s an emergency, and you did. I’m glad you let me come and help you instead of staying scared by yourself. You know I’ll always be here to protect you. And guess what!”
“What?”
“I love you!”
Harry giggled again. “I wove you too!”
