Spot on 😄 Lordi & Teräsbetoni were really the gateway drug for me for watching Eurovision every year, and when I saw Softengine I decided I needed to see the show live. I was a huge metalhead from around 16 to 26 years old before I started to gravitate more towards the diversity of genres in Eurovision, but some of my favourite entries are still very heavy.

I'm literally always asked what I miss about living in the UK and no one believes me when I say 'nothing' so here's the real true exhaustive list:

- switches on wall sockets (and, on a similar note, wall sockets being the same shape everywhere)

- being able to buy painkillers for less than 1€ and without having to ask a pharmacist for it

i never write in swedish these days as i mostly write fanfiction and english gives me a bigger audience, but i wrote something in swedish simply because i wanted to, and it felt good that i still could, y'know?

like, i use english a lot. i switch between english and swedish with my friends and siblings, i listen to and read in english daily, and i write in it constantly. i think in english a lot of the time. i'm learning italian from english. i couldn't tell you what language i dream in; i've never paid attention.

so it feels good to, like, prove to myself that i can still use swedish to tell a story.
