you really hadn’t meant to bind him to you. You stumbled back home, already feeling the drain on your magic. Bound to a fucking fae. And based on how your own magic was reacting, he was back in the fae realm. A place that you had no access to. It would only be a matter of days before you were drained if you couldn’t contact him. And knowing how the fae worked, it could be years or centuries before he even deigned to glance at the mortal realm. Your entire magic pool would be like a drop in the lake compared to him. He would survive the bond, and it would kill you.

So you got to work. Any low level fae you found you would bully and wheedle into revealing the location of one of the bridges, and they would sneak off before you could get any real info. You were exhausted, your magic draining fast, so you turned to what you knew best, your books. Humans had been recording fae names for centuries, and there was no doubt in your mind you had someone’s true name in your library, you just prayed it was a fae who was still alive, and could take you to the fae realm.

And that’s where Soap found you, laying face down, surrounded by open books and empty mana bottles.

He called Ghost and his wife, the nereid was the only one who knew about the old magics and could help him unfuck this situation.

It wouldn’t take long, she explained, but the two of you would be stuck together until you recovered enough of your magic to unbind the two of you. You were unconscious for a few days, only a faint shimmer of magic remaining of the tidal wave Soap had seen a few weeks ago. And it got worse before it got better.

Overburn, the nereid had called it. Your body was panicking at the lack of magic, and was now overproducing it. The plants scattered around your shop and your apartment began to grow out of control, the English ivy had taken over the staircase, and your mint had all but exploded out of its pot. Not to mention the random floating objects. Books would often go flying past Soap’s head (or hitting him if he wasn’t paying attention), and he would walk into your rooms some mornings to find most of your furniture drifting around the room, like you had turned off the gravity. It was infuriating. Here he was, reduced to a fucking nurse, and for a mortal! But- he couldn’t help but feel a little… twist of guilt when he saw your peaceful face. He was reluctant to admit it, but he missed your fire.

And then on the fifth day, you woke up.

Aragorn LOVES the idea of a wolf companion that he wishes he had one of his own. Mostly for practical purposes, you see, but he has his moments where he wants one for the companionship and to alleviate his loneliness.

It doesn't take much to convince your wolf companion Aragorn is a good man, in fact, they sense it immediately and it's as if they like him more than you

Aragorn is no stranger to aggression, nor is he truly surprised to watch male aggressors being torn into pieces by your wolf. Nevertheless, it remains as quite a disturbing sight to witness.

There was a saying that nothing, nothing can kill your wolf, due to how fierce and strong it was. They liked to joke that you can send your wolf to fight a battle full of orcs, uruk hai and Sauron himself and your wolf would return home safely. Aragorn did not take those sayings lightly and always frowned each time he heard it, but it was almost true, he had to admit.

I don't think animals would have a hard time with either speech, to be honest. (There definitely is a preference though, whether you're an elf or not. You decide).

Letting your wolf hunt and fetch food and other essential items is such a relief for him, yet he can't help but occasionally watch from a distance, just in case someone has plans.

As for the tracking, something Aragorn is known to be extremely great at, I think that's something he doesn't think about much, and even the most domesticated pups with lack of wilderness training is so much better at tracking than your average human.

Of course, since I can't end this without mentioning Aragorn's own ending, he considers the wolf as his own once you two officially marry. It makes life a lot easier for the both of you, and it gives him a laugh or two seeing the guards, knights and lords be scared of it.

In my version Kagome is an orphan, who’s lived in the streets from her childhood. She dresses up like a man and hides her hair to avoid attention.

Inuyasha is from a wealthy family, and inherited a house after his parents death. But there’s an intemperate rich man (Naraku) who wants his house to himself. Because of his suspicious businesses he got the name ‘Rat’.

Naraku hires some men to ‘take care’ of Inuyasha. That’s the moment when he meets Kagome.

After that it’s similar to the movie. Little street adventure, romantic and sweet moments.

This, because I played with the thought to draw them as dogs, and because I think with humans this scene wouldn’t look good or maybe just I can’t draw it. 🤫😅

It was just a must to draw sweet scene.

They win against Naraku with legally (Inuyasha) and not so legally (Kagome) methods and guess what? They move together and live happily ever after.😅💕
