walt stone who's known he's dying his entire life but comes to the house of life to learn magic anyway. he throws the last year of his life to their cause, thinking its the last thing he'll ever do. he believes in the cause and the kanes and he genuinely feels no regret at potentially accelerating his early death for their cause. but then he becomes the first ever human host of anubis, extending his life longer than he ever thought possible. he can dream again of a life beyond sixteen.

thoughts about sweetheart post inversion

imagine after the inversion sweetheart having to go through piles upon piles of paperwork, sifting through the names of the dead and gravely injured, seeing family members of people they know.

then coming home and seeing milo struggle with shifting and knowing they have to be there for him, they absolutely bottled up a lot of their feelings about it all, milo noticed they started drinking a bit more and had a distant look in their eyes all the time, so he sat them down one night on the couch, put their favourite movie on and spent the next 2 hours running his fingers through their hair while they cried quietly, cloaking and uncloaking as they finally released all their frustrations and grief out.
