okay okay but the way Queen Ramonda fucking fought to save Riri. the way she looked at Riri, this fucking brilliant genius young black woman, and probably saw Shuri in her. the way she saw a young woman put in danger, however inherently, by the us government because they stole her project. how this girl, this stranger, was going to drown and she grabbed her and she fought to reach the surface. and and you could physically fucking see okay. you could see how much it was taking a toll on her physically. you could see how fucking heavy and hard it was. how she was already starting to struggle for air but she kept fucking going and she saved Riri and you know in her heart she would not allow riri’s mother to suffer losing her child because ramonda just lost one of her own. and angela basset DID THAT.
