Tbh rewatching the OBC Hadestown cast bootleg I’d say that no one quite hit that awesome Hades/Persephone dynamic in the show as Amber Gray and Patrick Page. They are so 👌

And with them the show works in its fullest.

#I could write a big post about how their characterisations of these characters work remarkably well for the narrative #hadestown #also now you can’t @ me for not seeing it live #that’s not to say I other characterisations are bad or anything! I watched boots and we show and they were great #but I also got to see London proshot with OBC and once again appreciate the og take on the character in good quality #so like I do think other casts work as well but it seems to me that where Orphedice work 100% with literally any pair of actors you see #hadesphone gives from 85 to 100% of overall narrative experience #maybe I’ll explain what I mean later if you’re interested

I always forget just how many love songs I have in my playlist until I’m having an ultra-love-repulsed day and have to try my best to contain my breakdown until I get home

#21 out of 61 songs are related to love in some way #and it always feels like my playlist is trying to give me as many in a row as it can #must’ve gotten like 5 one after the other while walking home today #it’s too much of a hassle to keep taking my phone out of my backpack to switch songs so I just grit my teeth and bear it #and I know my playlist literally can’t read my mood. it’s not sentient. it’s a program #but when I’m so strung out it really does feel like it’s doing it on purpose #and hearing those songs makes everything so much worse #days like these I cannot stand any mention of love or romance or sex or anything else of the sort #I can’t read or think about it without feeling awful #can’t draw can’t write can’t watch shows. nothing #worst thing is I never know when I’ll be having a day like this so I can’t prepare by isolating myself or anything #like preparing a separate playlist with no love songs #bc the only way to find out is to get triggered #which… isn’t something I particularly like doing. at all #and I can’t even indulge in my latest interests because guess fucking what it centres around #ughhhhhhhhh. why couldn’t I have just stayed bi and not have to deal with any of this

at some point i am going to have to force even to go back and deal with donna & tentoo & rose & all and everything they ran away from. and that will probably involve them losing tentoo’s chameleon arch watch by giving it back to its rightful owner, whether she chooses to open it or not. and that is. not going to be a very fun or stable time for them.

#this part is v vague and fuzzy because i want to watch the rest of 12 & 13 and finish the doctor/donna specials before i set anything in #stone about it. but i think i need to rearrange some things in the timeline here vis a vis when the doctor is also forced to go back and #deal with his baggage.#i dont think 14 exists in even’s universe for this reason. and for the reason of tentoo kind of taking on his role? the human part of the #doctor who can stay with donna & with rose.#she’s also trans to me because i love trans!tentoo. her name is johanna. i think it’s pretty. i make a singular exception to my rule of #never changing characters names when i trans them.#but i think. what im getting at here is that this cant be a happy ending. not so cleanly. its more bittersweet.#like i think this version of the story. what i have so far. donna does remember. (tentoo doesn’t but that’s because she’s become her own #person. the doctor is who she came from but she isn’t just the doctor anymore.) and rose knows her doctor is out there and loves her but #she has her wife at home.#and even. oh even. you can’t hold onto a heart that’s not yours forever. you have to give it back.#this. i think. is a moment of respite and recovery for the doctor. and a really really low point for even. however this works out.#its not perfect but there’s kindness in it. and there’s a home to go back to. if they can bear it. both of them.#but like i said. this is all preliminary based on what i might play around with here. and how watching more of the show changes my ideas.#but i think. whatever revelations come in 13’s arc. i think in even’s universe they have to come after donna. i’ll find a way to make it #work.#but mostly right now the important thing is forcing even to give up the watch because why would i let them have one single comfort object <3 #dw oc

Tbh, I've never watched Adventure Time. It's been on my list but I'm not sure if I can get into the art style and the lot. What appeals to you about it? I really like Infinity Train, Steven Universe, She-Ra, Batman the Animated Series, and Gargoyles if any of those similar enough? Oh. And The Owl House.

OH BOY I HAVE SO MUCH TO SAY

this is gonna be my first time I don’t ramble in the tags cause I want to include everything and not leave anything out!

Ok ok ok so I didn’t think I’d like adventure time either. I just watched it for the first time this past year and ever since I’ve been obsessed with it! The entire universe is just so good. I’m amazed it’s a kids show. There are just some parts and episodes that get trippy and super DARK but most of it is a happy go lucky show

And then there’s MORE! There’s Adventure Time: Distant Lands and Fionna and Cake 😍😍😍

Which again I was very skeptical about cause Fionna and Cake weren’t my favorite episodes in adventure time but they did an AMAZING job with it.

I’ve been rewatching Adventure Time cause there’s just so much to it? They’re only 10ish minute episodes but they jam pack those episodes my dude it’s crazy what they fit in 10 minutes.

Some episodes are super fucking random and make no sense and other episodes (usually towards the end of the series) are actually about the story. And it might just be because I’m usually smoking or high when I watch it but I don’t fully remember everything that happens. Some of these episodes I’ve rewatched and it feels like a brand new episode????

Not sure if any of this makes sense tbh

It’s honestly not like any of those shows but I kinda think it’s in the same ball park? It’s like if those shows were from Cartoon Network.

I’ve watched She-Ra, Owl House (I’m on the last episode and I don’t want it to end!!!!), Gravity Falls (which if you haven’t seen you DEFINITELY need to watch cause it’s on the same wavelength as owl house and has some of the same voice actors) and also really like Harley Quinn the animated series (if you’ve heard or seen that) and love all of them with my whole heart 🫶🫶🫶

1000/10 recommend at least trying a few episodes! Like I said they’re only 10 min and man oh man they are so good!

I will say that I binge watched a lot of them and now the ending song will be stuck in my head for the rest of my days. Also I got very very annoyed that they were so short and went by so damn fast!

BuuuUuUuUuUt when they came out with distant lands and fionna and cake I was THRILLED cause they are longer episodes and they go more into the story of the universe of adventure time and the characters.

#oooOoo I’ll have to look up infinity train and gargoyles!#I’ve never heard of those 👀#I’ve tried Steven universe but I just didn’t really get into it #I’ve been watching Hilda and that’s super duper good too #kinda reminds me of over the garden wall #which is also a really really good show if you haven’t seen it #I’m trying to think of all the reasons why I like adventure time #maybe cause it’s just not like any other show I’ve seen?#I love love LOVE all the characters and the thought that it took to make all the characters #like they are so intricate #and they’re soooo many of them #it’s a magical world and I wish I could live there 😤😤😤😤#I think that’s what I look for in shows #finding a comfort show where I can kinda disappear and pretend I’m there for a bit #fuck reality #I’m gonna go be a princess and kick ass with Finn and jake #flame princess is probably my favorite #but I also love princess bubblegum #I think she was EXCELLENTLY made and designed #not to give anything away but usually in most shows (especially to kids) the main princess is all sunshine and rainbows #and her and the main dude have a love thing going on and all this and that #but this is just so different #also also love how some episodes are just incredibly random and not even about Finn or jake or any of the main characters #they go into a random candy citizens life like root beer guy #just such such suuuuch a good show and whoever designed it is a genius #don’t get me wrong it’s a trippy show alone #but also the intricacies through the universe and all the shows is just A+++++++++#if you ever try it lmk what you think!!#and obviously if it’s not your thing it’s not you thing! I have a few shows that I would like but the art style throws me off #ask

maybe I’m annoying and lazy but why the fuck are people kinda traumatizing their kids with the elf on the shelf I thought that was just a thing where you move the stupid thing around in random spots

Everytime I think about it, this is the moment I wish I stopped watching. It was truly my breaking point. They really decided to give us two fake Landons in one season. They decided that actually giving us any type of answers just wasn’t an option(I still want to know what Malivore was testing for when he took Hope and Golem Landons hair). And then everything that followed after was just a big nope for me.

#and to think if I stopped watching here I wouldn’t have to go through the pain and trauma that was s4 #I didn’t think anything could top s3 for me until s4 came along #it still hurts bc I really thought they were gonna acknowledge Landons feelings/trauma by giving us PTSD Landon #as well as getting answers from Landon time in the prison world #but nope they decided to forget all that #and then s4 Landon wasn’t even a person he was just a everyone’s personal therapist/caretaker #he was also just a scapegoat for Lynn #but that wasn’t enough they had to take part of his soul to #😭😭😭😭😭😭#I’ll never be over this
