#was going to try to buy a couple small kitchen appliances #but wanted one of my siblings to go along with me because while i /can/ do multi hour drives on my own #i don’t necessarily like it #well found out the family’s going to (redacted) this weekend anyway to visit grandma #great i think! i’ll just swing by and grab one of them early to take along #(since mom said they were going to church tonight)#but dad has once again screwed me by having something to do at mass tomorrow #so i gotta go by myself to pick up the blender #i’m waiting to hear if the person with the food processor will be available for me to pick it up tomorrow #at least grandma’s okay with me coming by the retirement home early #but zach will not be happy i’m going by myself #if i tell him #which i’m gonna try to avoid doing lmao.

#glass animals #honestly i wore out dreamland sm my brain took a lonnng break from expecting anything from them?? idk i’m just huh????#like….. when i say wore out #i cannot describe how much i listened to it #i usually have some vague idea even if it’s a ridiculous number #like 52 times in a month for an album or something (has happened)#i cannot recall w this #gonna say bc 2020 & they were Literally the last band i saw live. next morning everyone found out about everything annd lockdown. no joke #so it was big dreamland time when it dropped and revisiting their past albums when i broke out of its spell lmao #(pretty sure before that like january was when i listened to déjà vu 100+ times in a row tho so oop. it was a tough day lol)#anyway seeing this aww man. i really have had this band with me for a long long time. 🥹 i remember hearing gooey on the radio one night #driving home from work late @ night in 2014. the drive was so short i couldn’t be arsed to fish out my ipod & plug it in #sometimes so just popped on a good station i had preset. started the car and heard this *voice* and i was like who????#had to check the station bc it was an alt station and i thought i had it on another one which was fine i was just v confused #it was in the middle of the song & i was immediately anxious to know the name hoping i’d hear it & it wouldn't just flow into the next song #then the dj would pile the names together after x number of songs played bc i was tiired (but woulda stayed in the car ngl). got lucky &#ran inside to find it then yelled at my roommate the next day that she HAD to listen to it during a smoke session after work #(i was right & it blew her miiind)#god. what a fucking time. what a fucking band. idk what the disc horse is surrounding them now since they blew up via tiktok #i’m sure people are v quick to say they’re overrated bc of that but idk & i’m glad i don’t know. they’ll always be this #highly inventive incredible band i stumbled upon for the perfect night drive home after a long long shift #a band that came back from a Horrible accident that should have ended 1 of their lives & somehow didn’t & should have ended them #as a band (like still cannot believe Joe was drumming in 2020 & i saw it with my own eyes like how tf???!?)#a band deserving of all of its successes. glass animals forever

#I just got hired for a tour in the fall and like #holy fuck it’s a HUGE tour #it’s 6 weeks long and my offer is like #literally #it’ll be almost $20k #for SIX weeks of work #holy FUCK #and so I took it oBVIOUSLY #but like #idk bro I’m on a shitty easy tour with my bfs band rn and #I’m just so over it #I wanna be at home working on my store #and I’m SO frustrated that I’m not home and the only thing I like is driving and staring out the window and doing nothing #like I just don’t want this life anymore #and so I told myself that like #I’m not seeking them out I’ll let them come to me and if it’s a crazy offer or a and I like I’ll take it #*or a band I like #(enter this)#and I’m OBVIOUSLY going to do it for the money but #I think my personality has just changed a lot in the last year and a half #and I don’t have much in common with people who tour anymore #this band in particular #so I’m just freaking out over the prospect of basically spending g 6 weeks in isolation #away from the job I’ve carved out for myself which I actually like #unable to get a job bartending which if I have to have supplementary income is what I’d rather have it be #bc I’m just gonna leave for this tour #and I UGHHHHH #like I could practically put a down payment on a fucking house with what I’m getting paid for this tour it’s not an option #but I’m just SO preemptively 😵‍💫 about having to go do this it’s like 5 months away and I feel like I am having anger issues #UGH

Okay okay, so the set list gods were not with me tonight (cause he didn’t sing every single song ykwim) but you know what? Doesn’t even matter because the atmosphere and the quality of sound and production in that room is incomparable to the grainy livestreams we’ve survived on all year. He sounds so damn good in person. He purposefully didn’t sing Holding on to Heartache to punish me (doesn’t even know I exist) and I now have a healthy re-appreciation for this 505 cover (nearly died an actual death right there) and sliding on in there with High In Cali as a little *kiss kiss* apology for slaughtering my hopes and dreams of Lucky Again in person (absolutely ensuring I’m going to have to see him again, my bank balance is crying and he’s out here practising deprivation as a marketing technique). Silver Tongues is that bitch, and has always been, and will always be; she’s been a favourite from the beginning and ahhhh… yes. ahem. What a song. Copy3 my love, my darling, I’m beyond buzzed that I’ve heard this live 🖤

And wbk but he’s so charming? I’m at the back and I can barely see and the strobes are strobing and the light show is showing, and he’s so… engaged and charming and forgetting his pictures and chatting up the barricade like that’s totally normal? #my brain put me in The Torment Nexus last night for five consecutive nightmares in a row so I’m coping by figuring out what kind of trap #would force Zam into acknowledging all the worst parts of him #(gesturing vaguely at my brain) you put ME in saw traps?!!!????
