Do you ever think about demons being a little confused about what gifts humans do and don’t like during ‘courting / courtship’ say MC LOVES getting jewelry (fairly standard counting gift across worlds) but when one of the demons gifts them a beautiful set of REAL still a little bloody eyeballs they scream and that’s just so confusing for the poor demons.

So when he overheard you telling another demon in class that his eyes are ‘such a beautiful color!’ well…..it’s only natural that he gets them for you!!!

Surely you’ll love them!!! Asmo takes extra care to clean the blood off the eyeballs, before he puts them in a adorable little pink gift box and leaves it on your bed, right where he always leaves your little gifts <3

He put so much care into getting them for you!! he runs to your room and sees Beel taking the box away from you, telling you not to worry about it, he’ll take it away and Asmo wants to cry- what did he do wrong??? they really were beautiful eyes- you should love them!!!

Beautiful jewelry and clothes are fine but an even more thoughtful and important gift, he had to rip out himself isn’t??? It doesn’t make sense!!!

Happy new year!

I just rewatched the episode with Ana and Eddie’s math date and I realized something that’s hitting my Buddie heart and I can’t tell if I’m crazy. In all the fanfic I’ve read, Eddie and Ana never had sex so I just took it as canon by accident, but I’m pretty sure it was implied that they did at the end of the date. During the cringe detention flirting, Eddie’s phone goes off with the alarm, which to me seems like the “I have to leave to put Chris to bed” alarm. LA traffic is bad, but Eddie knows that and how long it would take to get home. He says he has to leave. The camera holds on them for a second after Ana says “class dismissed” and Eddie has a ~face~ and then we cut to him coming home late. Before I always thought that the detour was real and he came home late because of road stuff, but now I think that was a lie, he was late because he and Ana hooked up (maybe not all the way, but enough to make him late). He didn’t wanna tell Buck right then and there that they had sex for some reason.

As a massive Buddie shipper I really wanna say something about how the “construction on sunset, took a detour” line is about something being in the way of Buck and Eddie riding off happily into the sunset, but he took a detour with Ana first… but I feel like I can’t trust the show to be that foreshadowing. Because this show doesn’t really do anything that foreshadowy via just words, when they foreshadow it’s super obvious like with the people in dispatch or Doug. Like either it’s a lie because Ana and Eddie hooked up and that’s all, or it’s still a lie but it means something, or it’s literally traffic.

So here’s how I took it: I do believe Ana and Eddie had sex at some point. They were together for roughly a year (from 406 to 503), 408 made it clear that Ana was interested and that Eddie wasn’t saying no to the sex itself, I also think Ana’s suggestiveness with Eddie in the store in 501 points to the same thing, they probably did have sex sooner or later.

I don’t think it was during 408, though. Because I really can’t see Eddie, who IS a doting father, just ignoring his Chris alarm for the sake of a rushed quickie with a woman he’s so awkward with, a woman that he brought homework with him to his date with her, and a woman that I think Eddie would have appreciated a lot less if she were the kind of person to be okay with him standing his son up for the sake of some quick gratification (when the whole reason he pushed himself into being with her was the idea that she would be a good parental figure for Chris). I also believe that if Eddie had chosen to disappoint Chris and break his promise in order to have sex, then when he were lying to Buck (who isn’t just a babysitter, that’s Eddie’s best friend and co-parent at the very least) about the detour and the construction of Sunset, then we would have seen some reflection of guilt, you know? So my personally assumption is that he really did run into trouble with traffic. And on TV shows, most foreshadowing does not depend on whether the thing happened or not. Only on the viewers getting that what’s being said has a double meaning.

Aww that really was such a bittersweet chapter 🥺

It was so nice to see them together like this but also sad because it’s all so wrong. It should be right but it just isn’t with their situation.. with Chloe (even tho I don’t like her, she’s still Dieters partner) and the drug… I just want them to be happy 🥺🥺

Im glad Dieter didn’t immediately regret and pull away from her after the last chapter! I do still expect him to spiral eventually.. I’m also a bit sad that he relapsed but I guess relapse is a part of recovery.. hopefully eventually they can both let the drugs and addiction go and find recovery together! But tbh, you did write their drug trip beautifully!

And he loves her 😭😭😭 him saying it while high af makes me weirdly sad. And that he doesn’t remember if she says it back 😭

Because you know he feels like that because of Chloe, because she admonishes him when he just wants to show off his love. And he has so much love and affection to give and I’m so glad he didn’t feel this way with Natalie 🥺

They’re perfect together and I’m so glad eventually it will end well for them. But the road to get there is gonna be rough.

I already can’t wait to read the next chapter!! I loved looooved this one! I'm so sorry I didn't get to this sooner but these kind of long, thoughtful, insightful asks always honestly make me tear up a little and I never know how to respond with the appropriate amount of gushing!

As per usual, your insights are totally dead on -- they finally get what they both want, but at rather big cost to both of them. for now, natalie is a new drug for him, one he has no pre-established tolerance for.

i am SO GLAD YOU NOTICED THAT ONE BIT!!! I was really hoping someone would call it out because yes, while things are trending toward bad things, there is some fundamental connection that these two exist in space that they are their most comfortable in. There is something there, but neither one are equipped to handle it.

This was the chapter that I was probably most nervous for, just because most people are turned off by drug/dream sequences but they were all important to show a different side of their relationship.

As for the Ao3 date . . . I am hanging my head in shame. I cannot believe I haven't noticed that. The original publication date was messed up because I had saved it as a draft, but I definitely didn't realize it was 😳Thank you very much for pointing that out! Since I update on Thursdays, I'll go back and change them to the correct dates.
