just remembered this Kdrama I watched that was REALLY good until the second to last episode where the main couple finally kissed AND THEN SHE BROKE UP WITH HIM!! IMMEDIATELY!!! AFTER THIRSTING OVER HIM THE ENTIRE SHOW!!!

It always seems insane to me that when Titanic (1997) came out, people said Kate Winslet was “too fat” in the film, “Jack couldn’t fit on the debris because of how fat she was”, etc., because I can distinctly remember being a child watching the film several times when my mum bought the DVD, and that whenever I saw the scene where Rose gets out of the car at Southampton and the camera shows her looking up from underneath her hat, I would ALWAYS without fail think “oh my god that is the most beautiful lady in the world”… like nine year old me genuinely thought Kate Winslet was the single most beautiful woman on the planet, you could have told me that she was a goddess and I’d have fully believed you.

I stand by that opinion by the way, anyone who thinks she wasn’t beautiful can fuck off

like there’s no point in getting heated over it because nobody cares but the gymnastics that asian players have to perform in order to gain recognition in the prem is craaaaazy. look at park jisung who was the engine of united’s midfield (admitted by ferguson himself) and the way he was repaid by fans with that racist chant and is frequently omitted from conversation when talking about that era. obviously sonny is the best example of this because apart from a shaky first season in 2015 he’s done nothing but overperform and bag goals and assists (in a side with a prolific striker too!) and step up to the plate in difficult situations, carrying the club through that cl run in 2019. won the golden boot in 21/22 and wasn’t nominated for the pfa award. like it’s seriously such a joke! asian players come from countries that don’t invest in football or any facilities or academies (there’s a reason why korean and japanese players are the ones most likely to make it and that’s simply bc those countries invest a liiiiiittle bit more) and work hard all the way to the top by the skin of their teeth and yet don’t get recognition when they perform outstandingly well. written off at the first second because they’re asian. it’s maddening and it’s unfair and despite people like sonny and park jisung and lee youngpyo and tomiyasu and mitoma it’ll simply never get better if people don’t check their biases. anyway. eric said it best 👍🏾
