I'm so immersed in my jason grace new rome uni fic that I'm studying ancient roman law terms using this as an excuse. help.

no because how are they going to wiggle their way out of this one. because. ravi and bobby directly disobeyed colonel. ravi (technically) committed domestic terrorism. buck and athena disobeyed FBI and broke multiple laws. athena stole evidence. tommy ended up in a helicopter chase against the army.

i don't know like. maybe i am actually just really repressed and emotionally guarded and this will change at some point in my life or maybe this is just how i am and will be but i simply cannot imagine the appeal of being in a romantic relationship. why would u want that. how is it better than having good friends and getting laid regularly

#i functionally identify as poly but even then i just don't understand so many of the feelings #i think i get it when like. someone finds a partner who they have already made an emotional commitment to so they also want to make #- an official one. like i don't really experience that at this point in my life but i could hypothetically #like when i see friends in healthy relationships that's generally what it looks like and it makes sense #i just like. can't internally wrap my head around it. not that i need to. but i like understanding things lol #i get all of the components separately but fr what is the appeal of being in A Relationship #i think i'm also v biased bc i thought i wanted that and it turned out i very much did not and so now i can't imagine a world where i would #but idk. i GET the strength of emotional attachment very intimately but not in a way which makes the rest of it click ig #ted talks

#running into that everpresent problem in video games: being the ''bad guy'' is really hard to actually do with any consistency #bg3 is really the only game that made it fun to be fucked-up from the beginning by making ''bad guy'' into a codified custom character type #only game i've played* (feel free to suggest other rpgs that do this)#(using ''bad guy'' as shorthand but i basically just mean any kind of archetype that is seen as aberrant in the game's world)#obvs i've taken every heretical dialogue option to build up reputation etc and ofc i'm still in act 2 but I AM IMPATIENT #let me commit chaos!!!! also why do i have to wait until act 3 to get marazhai. this game is testing me fr fr #(i wish heretical wasn't so attractive bc it seems iconoclast has more interesting stuff to do earlier on)#i've looked up the average runtime of this game ok and i want to make sure i don't get burned out on it #before i get to do the fun weird shit i signed up for!!!!!#all these combat encounters are killing me also. like they're not *hard* per se (YET) but they're just...... tedious #the combat system itself is fine but i don't really jive with the skillsets they're giving me. like. this shit is boring #kibella is the only one who is fun to do combat with. yayyy death from above yayyyyy yippeeeee

it's not my story to tell, so i won't be writing it, but i sincerely hope to see an interactive fiction someday where the protagonist is a felon. specifically, i'd like the protag to be someone who has served their full sentence and just gotten out.

there is so little respect and empathy for that perspective, so i just would love a well-written IF about it

#maybe there is one and i'm unaware?#if #just thoughts #writing #was just thinking about the stigma that ppl who kill during psychotic episodes face once they are approved for release #and ofc the skepticism and wariness of the general public makes sense esp of whichever community was actually affected by the crime #but like #what do we believe y'all #wtf do we believe #is psychotherapy real or should ppl be locked up forever for doing something while literally out of their sane mind #do we believe in reform or do we keep everyone locked up bc it's more comfortable to treat people like refuse #do we believe in live and let live or do we want ppl to never live on if we personally deem them undeserving of peace or life #is psychosis a real thing or are we all pretending to understand and empathize with mental illness #fr fr #i just really hate how ppl are so comfy reacting in certain ways to that specific sort of perpetrator idk lol #gut reactions are one thing and using our brains and what we objectively know about psychology in combo with that is another #and when it comes to criminals ppl are very happy to abandon the latter and fully embrace the former #but claim to still be good decent people like...............#do you truly believe crimes committed during a psychotic break should be weighed the same as ones not?#cause if you do like... fuck you???#and if you think they shouldn't.... then we *must* apply that logic to how we treat and perceive ppl cleared as not a danger #there's no perfect system anywhere but i hate how individuals are so quick and willing to disappear people we view as problems #the constant war on the unhoused is a good example too #mh #at capacity #the great sham #abolish prison anyway yknow
