Beeeeeans? I am so sick with the Rona and I just wanted to ask if you have any cute Sanuso / Namivivi proposal headcanons to heal my spirits (if you want to and if you have the energy I just have been thinking about fluffy wedding stuff so much.)
Sanji would be the type of chef who plans to swoon their darling with the old “ring on the dessert” thing I feel. It’s classic, it’s stylish, he has witnessed a many proposal at the baratie like this and it always ended well …. And then he proudly gets up after their dinner to get the ice cream and Usopp is all “Thanks but I’m not hungry anymore.” Five course meal may have been little overdoing it. Starts to persuade Usopp into eating just a little more, which in turn makes Usopp a bit annoyed “Thanks but no thanks. Listen, what’s your issue? You know Luffy will gladly eat anything you-” “I DONT WANT LUFFY TO EAT IT.” Culminates in Sanji stomping off to the kitchen and fishing the ring off his painstakingly made desert and proposing old school style, which makes him a bit more nervous because the ice cream thing was a charm point and also his forte, even if Usopp said no they would still probably share the desert together.
Of course everything goes well and Usopp accepts and of course Luffy walks by them five minutes later with the sundae in hand all “Congrats! But you’re missing out Usopp, this is amazing”
Sorry for the late reply!!! I really hope you get better :(( <33 I'm a sucker for marriage and proposal headcanons!!!! And what you all said is so cute because of course Sanji would make his proposal about food!!
Okay!! So little cute proposal headcanons for you to get better!!
Sanuso:
Sanji and Usopp would propose to each other at the same time. That's how in sync they are. They'd be extremely anxious all day long waiting for the moment and they would end up doing it at the same time. And I think they're beautiful and stupid.
Thinking about Sanji putting the ring on a champagne glass and Usopp swallowing it. Completely clueless. Sanji starts to panic.
Usopp would make the biggest public performance to ask Sanji to marry him. Fireworks. A whole damn show. Nami would definitely help. It's the most beautiful thing in the world.
Fuck proposals, actually Sogeking goes to whole cake island, saves Sanji and they get married right there.
Following the last concept, kind of, I truly think Sanji would instantly ask Usopp to marry him the second they find each other again in Wano.
Namivivi:
I know we talk a lot about Zolu's proposal being that scene of Pirates of the Caribbean but I think it would fit Namivivi too so much!!
Thinking about Vivi proposing to Nami in a more traditional way. Like. Arabasta's traditions or something. Very Princess/Fairytail like. They'd have a very cute wedding with Arabasta dresses!!!
They meet again!! But Vivi has to stay in Arabasta for reasons (manga related reasons iykyk). They're all saying goodbye, Sunny already sailing away, and before Nami can regret anything she impulsively yells at Vivi from far away and asks her to marry her when they see each other again.
They have a very romantic and poetic night together before they have to separate again :( I think they'd even get married that night.
Sick Nami when Drum Island happens and Vivi telling her that once she gets better they're gonna get married (quick lesbian love as usual but for these two is true love)

Introduction to my Tumblr page??
This feels so awkward. I don't know why..
Okay anyway.
Hi, I'm Alex and this is the first introduction to any social media account I've ever made so sorry if it's not good.
I will just start off by explaining the image.
In the top left corner is what kind of music I like. I didn't want it to fill up too much so what I have on there right now is Mitski, Korn, The Cure, and The Misfits. But besides those four bands, I also like Mindless Self Indulgence, The Cure, System of A Down, The Garden, Creature Feature, Xasthur, My Chemical Romance, Deftones, Alien Sex Fiend, The Naked And The Dead, Aurelio Voltaire, Will Wood, Will Wood and the Tapeworms, Jack Conte, Lemon Demon, Queen, Birds Fear Death, Ghost, Melanie Martinez, Ramones, Pixies, TV Girl, Puzzle, Skinny Puppy, Oingo Boingo, and Soft Cell. Those are most of the Artists I listen to that I like four or more songs from.
Below the picture of music artists I like, there are three games I like to play. Like a Dino!, Nyan Cat: Lost in space, and Pastel Friends. I think I can say Like a Dino! is a music based game, and it almost reminds me of Magic Tiles 3, a game I used to play when I was younger. Nyan Cat also has music but a lot of meowing in it. I like Nyan Cat because of the sound effects and I personally find it a fun game. I also like how you can customize your cat. Pastel Friends is just a basic dress up game. I love dress up games where I get to create little characters. I don't know why, but it probably ties into how I used to be a cringy gacha kid when I was younger, but who the hell knows 🤷 It's fun and I think it's cute. But besides those three games I also like to play Fun Run 3, Geometry Lite, Geometry Dash, SubZero, Doki Doki Literature Club, Baldi's Basics, Custom Cast, Goat Simulator, Minecraft, and Gacha Life 2. Gacha Life 2 is only to dress up and make cute characters again, I promise I do not participate in any Gacha Heat 😞🙏
Below the games there are three movies. Pirates of the Caribbean 1: The Curse of the Black Pearl, Pirates of the Caribbean 2: Dead Man's Chest, and Pirates of the Caribbean 3: At World's End. POTC 3 is my ultimate favorite though. My favorite character is Hector Barbossa and he is just such a good character in my opinion! I do not wanna say too much because I'm afraid I might spoil something, but he owns a monkey named Jack and I remember a specific scene at the end of one of the movies Hector is seen baby talking Jack (not Sparrow).
On the right side of the movies, there is an anime I really liked and have for four years. HunterxHunter!!! I love it so much I have no idea why. Like I hate so many of the characters, like that stupid clown Hisoka, and there's also the bald lemon head looking bald grandpa in the Zoldyck family, but it's not Zeno. But besides that, I find it a nice anime.
On top of HunterxHunter, there's two people I made in Pastel Friends. Me on the left and my girlfriend on the right. I will not say her name for her own sake but she is the best and I'd do anything for her. We were friends for a year before we got into a relationship and she's the most perfect person I've ever met.
On top of my girlfriend and I is Illumi Zoldyck. There is not much to say. I just like him :P
And on top of Illumi, there is the unlabeled flag. I hope its not outdated, I kind of rushed making this whole thing. But I do not have any labels on my gender/sexuality. I am not cis, demi-boy, demi-girl not hetero, bisexual, pansexual, I am just me and prefer the pronouns he/him or they/them. But it is completely cool if you go by any of the sexual orientations/genders I just listed!! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈🌈🌈🏳️‍🌈 bwyafypdh
I think I explained everything on the image, now I will tell you other things
My favorite drink is eggnog, my favorite foods are probably steamed vegetables, my favorite candy is suckers, my favorite dinosaur is the Spinosaurus, my favorite colors are red and sometimes green.
Likes: Candles, things that smell good, writing, reading, poetry, winter, the cold, caffeine, pirates, dinosaurs, language from the 1500's, music, the grinch, lipgloss, socks, cool mugs, sketching, mini dioramas
Dislikes: Being too warm, MY HANDS BEING STICKY, naps, breaking my elbow, cracking my knuckles and feeling pain, mean teachers
I have a basic DNI list
My favorite book is also The Timekeeper by Rob Kidd!

all of these movies are the same genre in my opinion. i'm sure i'm forgetting many that fit on here. i also didn't put anything new on here because i believe films need to marinate for five years. i think the old guard can go on here after it marinates a bit.

9 people to get to know better
thanks for tagging me @ghostradiodylan !!
1. Three ships: Rylan my beloved they do no wrong. theyre the epitome of awkward bashful and honest gay summer teen romance with the perfect contrasting note of horrific life threatening monsters which is unsurpassable genre peak. and yeah ngl its pretty rare that i get behind a ship but two others i can think of are amity/luz from the owl house (but mostly in season 1 because they do cute anxious crushing stuff and after that they just kind of turn into supportive gf A and supportive gf B), and legosi/louis from beastars because how do you just gloss over neurotic homophobe slut ptsd theatre twink x weird brooding puritan loser freudian pervert and the fact that it does WORK too like hello
2. First ever ship: i wanna say gregg and angus from night in the woods?? i remember i was in that weird sexual orientation puberty where you literally know you're gay but it's not like a consciously meaningful part of your identity so i remember seeing them and thinking wow that's cool that they're boyfriends i guess idk. also i'm inexorably drawn to their existence for some reason and my lockscreen is them cuddling with the lazy morning light peeking through the curtains
3. Last song: My Kink is Karma - Chappell Roan, im a sucker for moody electronic pop and that album DELIVERS
4. Last film: i watched the first three movies in a pirates of the caribbean marathon with some friends which ngl after the first one feels like trying to suck sugar water out of a sock 😶 the last film i personally chose to watch was the 1976 Carrie! it was nice being able to watch it and appreciate it as an adult with an education and not a teen recluse going "yeah carrie you show those villain highschoolers what's what"
5. Currently (re)reading: Shakespeare's Twelfth Night! i have my old copy from highschool open next to me and the 2012 shakespeare's globe production up and i just sit and sift between watching and reading and analysing it, just like when i first learned it in class. i'm not really sure why i wanted to reread it again in the first place, but i find it kind of soothing to read older texts where the language and culture's a little ways off from its modern successors. i find it calming to kind of pull those stories back in a way we can understand with its old contexts and writing, and see more and more of that timeless human experience shine through. sudoku for english nerds i guess LOL
6. Currently watching: my watcher's stamina has actually gotten so shit im ngl like i actually haven't watched a show in months 😭😭😭 the last show i watched was bluey (which was pretty good! (and pretty indicative of the kind of attention span ive got these days 😂👌))
7. Currently consuming: this horrible like nutraloaf nightmare bowl i made because my appetite was really poor today and at 5 pm or so i was like ugh well id better eat something quick and dense if im not gonna have a proper meal so i insulted God and put together reheated smashed potato (in the microwave so they lost all their crunch and flavour) + dried roasted edamame beans + peanut butter + regular butter + cheddar + yoghurt + whole salted almonds in a bowl and had a slice of walnut fig cake as a side. that thing needed a censor bar like i was in the trenches trying to get that down im ngl. eating that meal took more energy out of me than what it gave back like i knew i made something unholy and then immediately paid for it like it was so frankenstein and his monster right there on that kitchen counter
8. Currently craving: literally anything after that like god damn 😭😭😭😭😭 otherwise ive been hankering for a good chana masala and naan combo cus there's literally never a day where i'll turn south asian cuisine down like aw man i shouldve just gone out and got some of that to eat today ugh god damn it
also im ngl i don't really know who to tag cus i only started having a presence on tumblr like barely a month ago and ive only meaningfully interacted with like 3 people since then so um!! whoever's out there lurking around on my blog if ya wanna participate feel free! and either way, thanks for readin my ramblings regardless :)

post-dead man's chest rewatch thoughts
- (which number rewatch is this? how many times have I seen these movies since they first came out? couldn't possibly tell you)
- the opening scene is such a great mood-setter, and I think also exemplifies what makes these movies so fun when they're at their best (and from what I recall of the later entries, one of the most immediate places where they trip themselves up.) I am always having my most fun watching a pirates of the caribbean movie when it is being simultaneously earnest and self-indulgent—completely buying into its own concepts while also not taking itself too seriously—and that's what we get at the start of dead man's chest. the rain in the tea cups. elizabeth in her soaked wedding dress. will marched up in irons. on the one hand, it's a little cheesy, but it's all in service of something very sincere. the relevant information is that elizabeth and will were meant to be getting married, and that's been interrupted by will's arrest, but then we get all these fun set-dressing elements that aren't strictly necessary but heighten and underscore the emotions in visually dynamic, compelling ways
- all of that was a long way of saying that I like the opening scene, which I do! for all the above reasons, and because fundamentally I'm a sucker for will/elizabeth
- I think cutler beckett is a great villain, and tom hollander does such a fantastic job (obviously this is not within his control, but I love that he's a little short—the fact that he doesn't seem that physically imposing is then turned on its ear so effectively by his absolute surety and ruthlessness). narrative-wise, I also think it's a great way of raising the stakes from the 1v1 of jack and barbossa in the first film (which we still get in a sense with jack and davy jones, but now with the added looming threat of the entire east india company in the background)
- man, what's the point of the whole cannibal island sequence. just to call back to the "and then they made me their chief" line in black pearl? jack's afraid of the open ocean, so is the thinking that they moored at the first island they found (presumably where they also wouldn't be arrested for being pirates?) it just feels like such unnecessary, manufactured danger, and for what? okay, will found jack, and all but like 8 of the crew have been eaten/killed (relevant when jack tries to bargain with jones for his life) but surely there were more interesting, more plot-relevant, more character-driven ways of accomplishing that
- tia dalma is great, and so is naomie harris! I don't know if they were already planning for her to be calypso at this point, but I love the look of irritation she gives gibbs when he's like, "so was it the sea or a woman that davy jones loved?" and she says "both"
- I think this movie really glosses over jack's selfishness—or at least, it doesn't address it in the ways I want it to be addressed. we know he's selfish already, he makes it clear throughout black pearl that his first priority is himself, he's intending to screw will over from the jump if it means he gets the pearl back, but ultimately his and will's/elizabeth's goals align re: defeating barbossa, and so we don't actually see what would have happened if he had the choice to trade one of his allies lives for something he wanted. granted the stakes are higher in dead man's chest (his own life as opposed to the black pearl), but the whole movie, it's clear there is no one jack won't sacrifice if it means his own survival, and I don't think it's ever properly acknowledged. he tricks will onto the dutchman, tells him to say "jack sparrow sent me to settle his debt," which will doesn't have context for, but we do, and likely so does the rest of the pearl's crew listening, and that it's jack saying, will, tell davy jones that you're giving up your life for mine. and I guess, yeah, will has made it clear that he doesn't think of jack as a friend, and jack has no special loyalty to will at this point, but it's also not like there's no history between them—they were allies, they have taken turns saving the other, but now here's jack willing (no pun intended) to trade will's life for his own, seemingly without a second thought
- i love the design of the flying dutchman and jones' crew—a) it fucks tremendously and b) what a cool yet horrifying visual interpretation of these sailors who would have died at sea being literally reclaimed by it
- it's WILD to me that, in full view of the crew, jack makes the bargain with jones to trade 100 souls for his own (including will's!) and everyone, including gibbs, is like, hey sure thing captain, let's set sail for tortuga to find a bunch of dumb suckers we can trick into signing away their souls. no questions or concerns here. it's just baffling to me that at no point does anyone within the story question what's happening. jack, is your life really worth the lives of 100 other men? can we live with ourselves after misleading them into making this bargain? does will deserve this? do any of them deserve this? you already got like two-thirds of the crew killed while hiding out on cannibal island from jones and the kraken, and now you want to condemn 100 more men to death? at what point is enough, enough? maybe it's just me, but it feels like the movies sometimes swing into this place of expecting like, unquestioning loyalty from their audience when it comes to rooting for jack, like of course we all buy into the premise that saving jack is worth whatever it takes (to the point that rescuing him from the literal afterlife is the cliffhanger on which this movie ends)
- love the liar's dice scene, love stellan skarsgard's look of absolute horror when he realizes will is on the dutchman, love all of their interactions! the moment where bill is helping him escape and says something to the effect of, it'd be a lie to say I didn't feel the need to leave and find work at sea, but it'd also be a lie to say I didn't enjoy it
- man, the organ/music box motif, the complementary melody with tia dalma's, so good!! (although I feel like this watch, I only just appreciated how far forward davy jones is leaning over the organ so his tentacles can reach the upper rows of keys. like, he's really getting low over that organ)
- love the worldbuilding detail of how jones summons the kraken—practically, of course sending out this massive vibration would be the best way to catch the attention of something under the sea, and visually the build of the hammer rising and rising before the ominous heavy fall works so well
- (oh man, also, jones sending the kraken after that merchant ship and will escaping. one of jones' crew saying "maybe he was claimed by the sea" and jones immediate, furious "I am the sea" yes yes yes)
- when I was younger, I don't think I paid as much attention to what's happening politically between governor swann and beckett, but the whole sequence of him breaking elizabeth out of prison, that he's cashing in on the little loyalty and influence he still has, mercer murdering the captain at the docks, and governor swann now a political pawn for beckett to use on the promise of sparing elizabeth's life—all very compelling! so much of these movies seem to be about power in very immediate physical senses (who has a sword or gun, who's pointing it at whom, danger as something that can be escaped or overcome in the moment, an enemy in front of you that you can run from or attack), that then zooming out to beckett's institutional power, the dread that instills, how that motivates threatens compels norrington, elizabeth, will, and the governor—it's all so good
- i've said it before, I'll say it again, elizabeth disguising herself as a man while looking for will awoke something in me no less than any of her most iconic scenes in the first movie
- (I can't possibly call out all the specific shots I really love, that's what gifsets are for, but honorable mention to the shot of elizabeth's wedding dress sinking in the wreckage of the edinburgh trader with the music box melody in the background)
- way back at the beginning, when beckett mentions an arrest warrant for norrington, there's that reference to him having left port royal, and with most franchises, I'd assume that'd be their one-line way of saying the actor isn't going to be in this one, but no! I love having norrington show up in tortuga, drunk and disgraced, with no need to affect any of the restraint or decorum he had while being a commodore, and now he's blunt and reactive and so much fun to have on screen (would the old norrington have made that remark about elizabeth seeming attracted to jack? absolutely not! is it delightful that he's now in a position to notice and remark so freely on it, and that the observation hits so different coming from him, a man who sought elizabeth's love and was rejected, than it would from anyone else? yes absolutely!)
- but okay, speaking of jack and elizabeth—yes, I buy that elizabeth is attracted to jack, that he represents all the freedom adventure and excitement of piracy that she's found so enchanting since she was a kid, and of course I buy him trying to chase her as well, and I think it's a dynamic that nicely tees up the moment at the end of the movie when she distracts him with a kiss to handcuff him at the mast BUT I do quibble with its effect on the compass. like, there's attraction, sure, but it's a whole other set of implications to say that there are moments where jack is what elizabeth wants most in the world (cmon.)
- the isla cruces set piece!! god, sprawling dynamic swordfights that make the most of every aspect of their surroundings in inventive ways is such a staple and highlight of the potc films (though I do think this sequence also has some of the most examples of like, cheesy slapstick humor. which isn't a thing that bothers me on its face! but I do think the later potc films especially turn to those sorts of jokes as a way to undercut some of the sincerity, the old wink and nod at the camera, haha wasn't that crazy, looking at YOU sequence with dozens of jacks in the locker) — anyway, tremendous shout outs to jones' crew rising out of the surf, the flying dutchman exploding up out of the water, the absolute classic water wheel fight, elizabeth pintel and ragetti trading swords as needed while they jointly fight their way back to the ship, norrington stealing the heart! so fun, so much of the same energy of the cavern fight from black pearl (one of my absolute favorite scenes from the first movie)
- alright. okay. the kraken coming after the black pearl. what we've been building up to this whole movie. I like will using his prior experience of seeing the merchant ship being attacked to strategize how to best counter the kraken. I like that jack initially takes the last life boat and leaves! I think it's a very realistic conclusion to the, "to hell with everyone else, I am only interested in saving myself" attitude he's had for so much of the movie. I do like him looking back at the pearl being attacked and having a change of heart. I don't like that the movie seems to use that change of heart as a way of glossing over most of his prior actions (like, well he came back to help them fight this one time, and so see, he's fundamentally a good man, he was there when it counted, what about those 100 other men he was going to trade for his own soul? don't worry about it) the elizabeth/jack kiss would bug the absolute hell out of me except for the fact that it's her ploy to handcuff him to the mast, which is perfect. it's something will would never do, but elizabeth absolutely is calculating enough to realize the kraken won't stop chasing them if jack survives, and is ruthless enough to sacrifice his life for theirs. I like the look jack gives her once he realizes what she's done, a little disappointed, a little proud, fundamentally not surprised. I like that she's the one who forces jack to stop running (if he wasn't compelled to face the kraken, when would it have been over? how desperate would he have continued becoming in pursuit of saving his own life?)
- geoffrey rush descending the stairs as barbossa. peak ending. no notes. how I've missed you.

tag nine people you'd like to know better
favourite colour(s): originally black, silver and blue but I've been all over the rainbow these days (barring really bright/neon colors).
favourite flavour(s): changing this for food - I'm a sucker for pasta and carbs in general, mostly anything with cheese, cinnamon/marzipan-based sweets and passionfruit/guaraná in terms of drinks!
favourite genre(s): science fiction, fantasy, thriller & suspense, comedy.
favourite music: Japanese rock is where my heart is, but I will honestly listen to mostly pop/rock from anywhere, some (Brazilian) funk as long as it's from a female artist and MPB really hits home every now and then.
favourite movie: 'Pirates of the Caribbean: the Curse of the Black Pearl'. I laugh before the jokes are even delivered, I lost count of how many times I've rewatched it.
favourite series: if we're talking about TV shows, it's likely to be a mix of Star Trek (TNG) and Doctor Who; from videogames, it should be the Final Fantasy, Yakuza/RGG and Persona franchises.
last song: Gloria Groove - Leilão (Gloria is so fucking good, the drag queen era is here and I love it)
last movie: 'Pitch Perfect' (the first one) on my flight to the Netherlands.
currently reading: 'European Corporate Law' by Dorresteijn a.o., I literally paused in-between chapters for this dash game, haha (I'm such a nerd, it's Sunday and I'm finding some of the discussions re. fundamental freedoms in the EU absolutely fascinating).
currently watching: Season 3 of 'Peaky Blinders' and 'National Treasure: Edge of History' simultaneously. The first one is my current 'main' series, the second one I'm doing purely for the Catherine Zeta-Jones goodness.
currently working on: a FFXII verse for Eirene, a PtN verse for my main blog, readings for my new courses for this period and I really must start writing my thesis. :) Like. I'm behind a month in my own schedule.
tagged by: @ragingsands (thank you & apologies for the delay!) tagging: it's been a while but maybe @dojimakaichou . @svnsworn . @tsurugixbuster . @cxnvicts . @thememory & @gbrnth if you haven't done this recently? :)

I got tagged! @domsaysstuff wanted to know my 9 favorite movies.
Which, honestly, same. I'd like to know what my favorite movies are too! Favorites are hard to pick even as I’m watching them and once I’m done watching, the whole experience disappears. Movies are relegated to “yes I’d watch it again”—rare— or “once was enough.”
So here are the movies that I dredged up from my memory that I would be willing to sit down and watch again!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Everything Everywhere All at Once was beautiful, chaotic, and it hit me like a ton of feathers, which is to say like a ton of bricks but it feels so much larger. It reminded me that my nihilistic mood swings are temporary and that sometimes, I just really need to let go of whatever it is that's weighing me down because it's not worth the baggage.
What We Do in the Shadows is a bit different. I'm not sure it's really a favorite, but it is a really fun casual watch and the tv series it spawned is incredible. Great movie night with friends. "We're werewolves, not swearwolves!"
The Handmaiden is one that I have to be in the mood for because it is dark and painful, but the visuals are off the charts. The leading ladies are stunning and they have mastered the skill of casting pining gazes at each other over the shoulders of the men in their lives. Also, I'm pretty much a sucker for any kind of sapphic romance or period drama.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
4/5. The Princess Bride and The Neverending Story are both pretty self explanatory. Very fond memories of these ones from when I was young. I read more than I watched movies at this age, so I think I really enjoyed that bridge between reading and watching that both movies played with.
6. Howl's Moving Castle is here on a similar note. Diana Wynne Jones was one of my absolute favorite authors as a child and if you haven't read her books (and like fantasy stories) you should. I greatly recommend "The Dark Lord of Derkholm." The source material is probably the only reason this movie won out against Princess Monoke as my token Ghibli movie. Tough Call.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
7/8/9. Labyrinth, Pride and Prejudice, and Pirates of the Caribbean are what I'm going to affectionately call my own personal pride awakening. It seems silly in retrospect, but I absolutely latched onto most of these characters at a time when I had no idea what it meant to be attracted to the same gender AND the opposite gender (and all the things in between). Nothing I knew accounted for that! Labyrinth in particular struck me because it was the first awakenings of the (horribly stereotypical) "I don't know if I want him or if I want to BE him" brand of gender confusion over Jareth. Turns out, the answer was both! Bonus for my utter devastation at the line "Just fear me, love me, do as I say and I will be your slave."
I hate tagging people because I'm a socially anxious sea slug, so if you made it this far and want to share, please do! Otherwise, feel free to tag me in shit, I actually love being forced to catalogue things so I'll remember next time!

Meredith Quill/Yondu Udonta [MCU Marvel]
Elizabeth Swann/William Turner [Pirates of the Caribbean]
Captian Holt/Kevin [Brooklyn 9-9] + Cheddar
Mostly I like couples that are steady, not particularly dramatic together or between each other, but I do like a little bit of drama, I'm a big sucker for battle couples. I like couples who have each other's backs and work with each other, covering the weaknesses of the other, and working together.

Oh no! I didn't know he was a zionist! I wouldn't have bought the movie tickets if I'd known! Aaah, I can't undo that. Thank you for telling me.
Pirates of the Caribbean is my ultimate favourite set of movies from the music to the acting to the drama, the romance and the comedy! Best OST ever! The last few weren't sooo good, but the first two are *chefs kiss*. I can't even count how many times I've watched them while growing up. I'm just a sucker for anything magical, mythical or medieval 😌
Oh then I’ll watch them someday 😩💌

My last 36hrs or so.
Woke up early, doctor's appointment.
Went back to sleep.
Woke up, went to estate sale. Bought furniture.
Came home.
Went to estate sale again (same one). Bought more furniture, so much we couldn't fit it all in the car.
Went home with the plan to wake up early and get a trailer to fit the new furniture.
Remembered I had other plans early in the morning, quickly recalculated and made it all work by planning to get up -even earlier- to get it all done.
Ate dinner, sorted through a years worth of unopened mail belonging to my father, read some manga.
Move around a lot of furniture to make room for new incoming furniture.
Completely failed to sleep at all, despite many attempts.
"woke up" (aka gave up on sleep and said fuck it, lets drink 4 cups of black tea instead).
Had tea, read more manga.
Went to get trailer; drove to estate sale.
Loaded up furniture.
Bought even more furniture.
(I am a sucker for a good bookcase, what can I say?)
Came home, unloaded all new furniture.
Now with an additional passenger (my twin sister) and with trailer still attached to car, drove to outdoor board game flea market.
Got a bit lost, even with a map, and went around a very annoying shopping center parking lot, found street fair.
Went through whole thing at crazy speed (with a rollator walker and disabled me, so like, a very slow crazy speed), looking only to replace board games I had lost in the storage fire thing that happened.
Found 2 of them, but didn't buy the first one because it was at the second table I saw, and I wanted to see what other games their were, and then I went and bought things and I couldn't afford the first game anymore, so I didn't go back for it and yeah I'm annoyed at me!
Bought: 1) one board game to replace a missing board game. 2) a multicolored 3d printed turtle Creature (#tod the turtle pics coming soon!) 3) a game for my twin because she was begging, and 4) 8 volumes of a manga because a) it was there, b) its a really good manga, and c) apparently I had bought my twin sister the first 3 volumes already so 4-11 seemed like a quick and easy xmas gift?
Failed to buy the two Pirates of the Caribbean games (even if one of them monopoly). ((and the other game I found to replace what I'd lost but I already explained that).
Drove from board game fleamarket to international market (trailer still attached), to randomly surprise my best friend and her mother who were going to be there around that time. (Also it was like 2-3 miles from the flea market so it worked out).
Proceeded to have me, my dad, and my twin sister waltzing around the store buying xmas chocolate, candy and tea (normal and xmas varieties!) like crazy people with three different carts (well...two carts and a rollator walker chair thing) while waiting for friend.
Gave up waiting for friend and stashed myself in the tea section. While writing a text to friend's mom (whole other story), saw friend nearly slip past me!
Walked up behind her and said "I forgot your clothes".
More fun (and much more chocolate) was had at the international market.
Drove home.
Spent and hour or two trying to corral my family into moving furniture from upstairs to downstairs and from one part of the garage to another.
Loaded up the trailer more, then sent family off to take it all to storage and then return trailer.
Finally, permission to sleep!
(24hrs or so since last sleep, which was like a 2hr nap; I have chronic fatigue so I sleep like 14-18hrs a day? on a good day.)
Went upstairs.
Moved more furniture! I could have ignored it! Any of it! All 3 of it!
but no.
Moved it anyway.
now....can I sleep at last?
(had to type this up first sooooo probably not?)

honestly i can't blame people for being skeptical about OFMD, like i binged the entire eight episodes in a euphoric delirium on saturday and i am still finding myself having moments where I go 'oh wouldn't it be cool if male character a and male character b did this cute romantic thing' and then I remember that whatever I'm thinking of is literally just a memory from the show. i'm still in a sort of denial that this show even exists and when I can wrap my head around the fact that it exists I'm then flung back into confusing canon for fanfics I've never read because it's literally just the fucking canon. it's every fanfic trope you've ever loved. it is so blatant, so unapologetic about the queerness of the characters and the main m/m slowburn romance and the nonbinary characters and the poly characters and the found family of the pirate crew and the utter heart and soul of it all while epic pirate adventure stuff is going on. again, this is not subtext. this is not open-ended suggestive stuff. these are characters being openly queer and having queer relationships in a fantasy/adventure setting and yes they're kissing and having sex and being intimate in other ways that aren't sexual and it's just all there. and the writing is just...oh my god. the way everything ties into everything else, you'll feel as if it isn't taking itself too seriously and then it'll sucker punch you with feelings
i know i know FUCK it is mind-blowing and a lot to process and for that reason i probably shouldn't have binged the eps so fast, like pace yourself, bc my brain has definitely short-circuited
but yeah, listen. this is for you. this was written for you. it is written to reflect your experiences. there is no baiting, there is no room for a closed-minded audience. it is all out on the table, spoken about and explored freely and within the context of yknow epic piracy age of sail pirates of the caribbean aesthetic
trust me on this. like, please do, because this show is making very loud statements on sexuality, gender, race (and the prejudices therein) and it is basically everything we've ever wanted our fantasy / adventure to be and it needs support bc this is groundbreaking work here all hands on deck amrite ;)

thoughts on pirates of the caribbean ?
Love it! Or, the first three, at least. Clearly it's not flawless but it's a fun series. I'm a sucker for pirates stories, both real and fictional. Fictional have the advantage of never having hurt any actual people lol. Love all the over the top personalities and the sense of adventure and mystery. This was something PotC captured well by embracing supernatural elements and the colorful cast of characters. The first one actually came out on my birthday years ago, so I have fond memories of going to see it then. And, though it's probably controversial, I actually liked the third one the most. It was so BIG and epic. It has been a while since I watched any of them, though, so IDK if my feelings would have changed on favorites.
