I found out one of my old nannies who practically raised me more than my own mother reached out to me asking for help bc she was affected by the floods in the Philippines and we reconnected

She's been homeless or living in makeshift shacks these past few years after my fam laid her off when we immigrated to the U.S. I don't exactly remember what happened but I remembered being berated for asking abt her and I didn't have a spine back then to keep pestering

So I just bought her a simple house and sent her some money to get her footing back together but my mother found out abt it and told me I'm stupid for falling for tricks 😭
