'accepting your place' isn't the same as being happy #carver can find a place he's content with whereas bethany is screwed over either way since her magic isn't something she can just let go of #like yes both twins are bitter that they didn't survive the deep roads but carver's always worn his bitterness on his sleeve #whereas bethany felt she had to hide hers because she felt she had to be grateful for the sacrifices her family made for her #and now they are both trapped and free at the same time... carver just happens to thrive but bethany feels she traded one cage for another #ugh the hawke twins THE HAWKE TWINS Y'ALL #I just want them to be happy and loved and alive... why is that too much to ask for??

For further context: this whole FB involved Sharena and Henriette seeking out lockpickers in the Order of Heroes to open this VERY SECURELY locked box from Gustav's room that took Tina's special staff to finally crack open (or rather -- "steal" the contents out of. No one could actually break the lock!)

And the first instance of this!

It makes me wonder if he saved anything related to Sharena..........

Okay okay part of me has always leaned towards Ivan dying when he has to go up against Till. Because like listennn... Ivan ALWAYS being the one who's looking at Till, while Till is never ever looking back at him just has unbearable affect on my brain. So like I've always imagined him dying with the expectation that FINALLY FINALLYYY Till will truly LOOK at Ivan and really see him for the first time like Ivan has always seen him (Does this mean in a romantic sense? Potentially. Maybe. But most of all just finally seeing how Ivan feels about him and just having THAT realization), but also with the added gut punch that it took Ivan dying for Till to truly realize Ivan's feelings and aooughh. BUT flipping it around also ties into the same ooggily booggily affect that the first option has on my brain. Because having Till die could mean that from beginning to end, after EVERYTHING that has happened, he never looks back at Ivan. The tragedy and pain of that feeling, and you KNOWW that from the very beginning of the round that Ivan would know that if Till dies he'd die never knowing about Ivan's true feelings. Now is this all incoherent rambling that will likely not happen? Yes. But they are like little worms in my brain sooo

Well you’re very right, she does look stressed! I think that’s just her resting face: anxiety. Not like outright panic, but a general all encompassing sense of unease and exhaustion.

And I hope the Sophie portrait goes well! Seeing your sketch lines I’m amazed, you put much more though into placement than I usually do. My method is fuck around and just see if the vibe is right, cry when it isn’t (joking, not really). If you plan on sharing it, I can’t wait to see it!

I’ve been itching to do. So many drawings recently. I’ve had SO many ideas for so many different books and series and yet have done NONE of them so. kudos to you for actually getting the pencil to paper :)

Out of curiosity, do I have any followers who are particularly familiar with (have lived in or otherwise) either Marburg, Oslo, or Graz?

I am poking (very) tentatively at my school's study abroad options, since with scholarships it might actually be a more affordable option for the spring semester (and has long been a dream of mine, so it means a lot that it might actually be within reach) and I've narrowed it down to one of those three programs. Beyond the costs and academics though, I'd be curious to know if anyone has anything else to say in favor of or against any of the cities, since I would obviously also be picking a place to live for 4-5 months.

#my school lets students apply their financial aid towards study abroad which i did not realize until recently and changes everything #especially since i could maybe make up some of the money i'm not getting from the state this year with school abroad scholarships #leaning towards marburg at the moment because it's fairly central and i'd want to travel while i'm there #and close enough to frankfurt that i could visit the synagogue there sometimes which would mean a lot to me #i speak more norwegian than german but tbqh that's actually a point in favor of germany/austria (could learn more while i'm there)#also yes. european friends. on top of everything else this is my latest scheme to maybe finally visit some of you
