Do you think Kes' ability to pick up on things so quickly is linked to her being an Ocampa? Like, since she's 2~ years old in canon (and has distinct memories of her father) I imagine her species doesn't spend much time as children and I wouldn't imagine they'd have formal schools (like entire buildings for schooling) and would instead learn from like, primarily parents or other elders. In that case learning things very quickly would be extremely beneficial for their survival. Kes: Oh yes, childhood...what a lovely few days~ Kes was a baby like for a day and then the next day she was up and ready to learn. Kes meets Naomi and every day that passes she becomes more and more amazed that she's still a baby. Wow! It's been like two months and she still can't do anything?? The doctor told her it was normal but wow. What I'm saying is they should have had Kes as a jack-of-all-trades character who could slide into pretty much any of the teams on Voyager. The Doc misses her when she's not in sickbay though!

does anyone else get like. i do NOT have a better way to describe this, but it kinda feels like? maybe mild psychosis or unreality? like my brain seems almost to "slip" into an off perception of reality where i'm like, there, i'm kinda aware something's not right, but also it's like a? dream? i can't control? and i've been working on catching it so it used to last like, 30-60 minutes but now i can snap out of it in about 10 or so, like, i suddenly just realize, "wait, where am i, why am i saying things like this?"

this makes no sense i think but like. is there a word for that. it's like i'll be saying things that sound 100% normal to me and then i snap out of it and it's like hey? what am i talking about? like it's COHERENT but it's. idk. blunt or even rude at times and i have no idea what happened other than it suddenly makes me feel SUPER bad like why am i saying that. anyway i'm just curious if this sounds like anything bc it's. i don't care for it. gonna bring it up in therapy too but Until Then.

no but you're not rly missing out on much just.. just the usual random stepcest agenda of mine :3 like. i'm so sorry but i'm just thinking of the itoshi brothers and their younger sister, always the golden trio, heirs to the family fortune, turning heads of men and women alike...... everyone would want to marry into the family, and many have tried their chance, but every brave attempt of asking either of the three out ends up a failure. people are so curious!! maybe they're all in some secret relationships, or perhaps they're waiting for their marriages to be arranged - a business transaction of sorts? then, there's also this rumor going round that the brothers have their eyes on the same girl.. is there why they're so hostile towards each other?? the rumors are everywhere - the campus, press, even around some of their friends (cause no, seriously, has anyone ever seen any of the itoshis with someone before?). all three only ever shrug and give a dismissive comment, cause really, it's none of your concern.

well.. it's not like anyone would've ever thought - and it's better no one ever does - that it's the youngest itoshi heir that her brothers constantly fight over, and that it's her getting bent over the expensive marble counters and fucked into the bespoke silk sheets </3

Man, was it just her or was that stare laden in indifference?! Dan Heng neither vied for her attention or strayed from it, didn't tap his toes to tick away the seconds, didn't come out with a what? loud enough to rattle the kettle, the china. Due to this, the nothingness of it all, March felt kind of ... bad to just, come out with a joke. Comedy required timing, and maaaybe the time wasn't now. (Arguably: it was less a joke, more a jab, a poke with the edge of her fingertip instead of a playful whap to the shoulder.)

Tick tick tiiick, tick. The patter of Pom-Pom's feet made up the difference, their quiet palpable, and geez, didn't he have to blink? Didn't she?! Pap-pap-pap, Pom-Pom muttered under their breath (uh, no, they weren't weirdos, and she'd have a bone to pick with them later!), brushed up the bits of interstellar dirt caught on their sticky heels and fragments of, uh, something — rising to her feet, March slammed her palms on-top of the nearest surface, eyes dry but unforgiving nonetheless.

“Dan Heng,” it's the most deadpan she's ever sounded, and Dan Heng is likely to know; after all, he'd known her since she regained a life, which is just as good as knowing someone forever, right? “You. Stink.”

She is, was, and will always be entirely serious regarding this.

Mid-chew was when the kiss caught his focus, swirling in dizzying loops 'till it landed before his feet. Was the dizziness due to the act of Wolfwood, hunched over a dingy bartop, buttons popped and peeking skin on display, or the rapid rate in which Vash devoured his earlier-ordered appetizers? Attributing it to the latter, he gulped down his chew, coughed, beat on his chest a bit, and sauntered up to the counter, elbow knocking against the polished-but-not-nearly-enough wood with an audible owfunnybone!

“You keep doing that, these ladies'll just get jealous, you know,” throwing an arm over his eyes (and knocking his glasses askew), Vash wept. “How will they feel whenever VASH THE STAMPEDE has been rudely stolen by a fellow patron? Unless...”

Hands falling to his cheeks, a look of abject horror skated across Vash's face!

“You're... dumping me for them?! After all the time we've shared together, you'd throw me away like - like I'm a wadded-up napkin with a ketchup stain?!”

In a flash, neutrality.

“It's not fair for you to keep all the girls to yourself, you know. What if I wanted to have a good night for once? What if I wanted a pretty girl's pillow to rest my widdle weary head on?”

All chips of denial, scrapings of his soul. Perhaps, if he whittled at it enough, the reality - the touches of truth residing in every joke - wouldn't crash down on him so hard. Wouldn't smash him into smithereens, make him the next stain on this filthy floor. Yeah, Wolfwood was that kind of guy, able to charm the least likely of bedfellows with the least amount of ability. Maybe it was the suit, hugging him too precisely, too perfectly. The mystique of his gaze, the very same Vash felt drawn to, found his eyes drifting to. A swallow.

“Hey... you wanna' take up my tab for me? Pweeeese? I really, really want to drink tonight.”

One of the best Voyager scenes to indicate Tuvok & Neelix's dynamic and how I think Tuvok is just as if not more 'annoying'(positive) than Neelix is when Neelix pours Tuvok a fresh squeezed glass of a fruit juice blend and Tuvok's like (paraphrased) "I don't want to drink this." and Neelix is like "Can you please try it?" and Tuvok's like "I don't want to, you're really bad at this sort of thing. It's going to taste bad." and Neelix says that Ensign XYZ said she LOVED it, she even had a second glass! And Tuvok says Ensign XYZ could drink poison without a second thought and Neelix is like "Tuvok could you please just TRY it? Just try a little SIP of it PLEASE??" and Tuvok sighs and rolls his eyes and sniffs it before taking a sip and it turns out he loves it. Turns out it tasted good actually. And then after all that Neelix tries to talk to him over eggs (which he's again cooking fresh for him) and Tuvok tells him he doesn't wanna hear "the life history of his breakfast." Absolutely insufferable this man I would have burned his eggs on PURPOSE!!!!
