I believe this would be a cat sable on a field argent, rampant, tail coward, guardant to sinister. Meaning a cat that's black on a white background, on its back legs with front legs spread, tail down/between the legs, turned sideways but face towards the viewer, facing right (from viewer's perspective, left from shield wearer's perspective).

#sorry for the double reblog i just couldnt resist#i know the structure on this isn't quite right#like the order of items is probably off#also i think 'coward' is always supposed to be oriented left and not combined with other descriptors#but i wanted to mention the tail position which ia unusual for heraldry#also don't remember the term for having something in its mouth

Cracking the IAS/UPSC Exam in Bangalore: Choosing Between Online and Offline Coaching
Cracking the prestigious IAS/UPSC exam in Bangalore? It is critical to decide between online and offline IAS coaching centers. Both have distinct advantages that appeal to various learning styles. Investigate the benefits and drawbacks to identify your ideal study space. Explore both alternatives for the best IAS coaching in Bangalore and the best UPSC coaching in Bangalore to pave the route to success. Structure, personal connection, adaptability, and resources are all important considerations. Making the proper decision is the first step toward success.
Offline Coaching: The Classroom Craze
Advantage -
Structured Learning- Structured Learning is immersing yourself in a dedicated learning environment with a set timetable and regular engagement with professors. Those who thrive on routine and accountability will enjoy this.
Direct Interaction - Get immediate answers to questions, participate in vibrant debates, and receive individualized feedback from qualified professors.
Mock exams and Group talks: Mock exams and group talks simulate the real exam, encouraging a competitive spirit and improving problem-solving skills.
Disadvantage -
Time and location constraints: Traveling to and from classes might eat into your study time, especially in a city like Bangalore. Flexibility may be limited.
Limited Faculty Options: You are restricted to the institute's faculty, potentially limiting your exposure to varied teaching styles and perspectives.
Higher Fees: Offline tutoring is frequently expensive, involving fees, travel, and possibly hostel lodging.
Online Coaching: Learning Without Limits
Advantages -
Unrivaled Convenience: Learn at your speed, from any location with an internet connection. Ideal for working professionals or those living outside of Bangalore.
Access lectures - Access lectures from prominent academics from throughout India, improving your learning experience with varied viewpoints.
Cost-Effective: Online coaching is often less expensive than offline choices, saving you money on travel and lodging.
Recorded Lectures & Revision: Review lectures and key topics at your leisure, strengthening your learning and increasing retention.
Disadvantages-
Self-discipline: The ability to focus and block out distractions calls for a strong sense of self-motivation and time management.
Limited Interaction: Students may not have as much direct interaction with teachers and fellow students, which could affect peer learning and the clearing up of doubts.
Technical Glitches: Periodic problems with internet access can interfere with your learning process and necessitate debugging.
Which Way, Bangalore? Best UPSC coaching in Bangalore
Your budget, lifestyle, and learning style all play a role in the decision. Take into account these elements:
Learning Style: Do you thrive with structure and people? You might enjoy it offline. Do you prefer independence and adaptability? The internet might save your life.
Budget: The cost of offline coaching may be high. Online resources provide more affordable possibilities.
Lifestyle: hectic pace or secluded setting? Unrivaled ease is offered by online coaching. Desire a specialized space for studying? Perhaps offline would be best.

So there’s something about Pekka Rollins that has bothered me literally since I first read the books and I think about it every time I read them okay and it’s this line:
“Who is Pekka Rollins?” Matthias asked, turning the ridiculous syllables over in his mouth. Kerch names had no dignity to them.
And this catches me out every single time because Rollins is Kaelish. As far as the reader knows for definite, “Pekka Rollins” is a Kaelish name, not a Kerch name.
Now, don’t get me wrong, we’re of course aware that Matthias is very sheltered from understanding the global scene and may simply have assumed that Rollins is Kerch because he lives in Ketterdam and runs the Dime Lions (this is the only piece of information he knows about him at this time) but I think this is unlikely considering that it was on a mission to the Wandering Isle that he met Nina and we know that, although he doesn’t speak Kaelish, he knows how to recognise it well enough that he knew Nina was speaking Kaelish and not Kerch or Ravkan (at the time he was monolingual, as he would later only learn Kerch by necessity in Hellgate).
And thinking about the name “Pekka Rollins” it doesn’t sound all that Kaelish… does it? Our examples of Kaelish names include “Fianna” (Nina’s Kaelish pseudonym at the Ice Court), “Colm”, “Eamon” (Dime Lions member), and “Harshaw”, but not many others to my recollection. Kaelish names are inspired by Celtic languages and Celtic names, as far as I can tell usually with more Irish and Scottish Gaelic influences than Welsh, Cornish, or Breton (but please note I am by no means an expert and I sadly do not speak any of these languages), and we can see this trend in our examples. But can we see it in “Pekka Rollins”? Or does this name favour the structure of Kerch names? “Kaz”, “Per”, “Wylan”, “Alys”, “Hiram”, “Gert”, “Henrik”, “Jellen”, and so many many more examples, we are overflowing with examples of Kerch names (if you are wondering about more examples I’d recommend checking out the Grishaverse wiki there’s a full list on there of all the characters mentioned from each country, but note it doesn’t include any pseudonyms as far as I’m aware), that tend to favour more separated syllables and harsher consonant sounds than, say, “Fianna” where the name runs quickly together, pronounced to have two syllables when it would probably be said with three by someone Kerch who only saw it written down, with more emphasis on the “yah” sound of the “ia” than the double “n”?
So is it, in fact, possible that “Pekka Rollins” is a Kerch name? A chosen name, by a man who fled his home to restart his life in a new city, with a name that matched it? Is this supposed to imply yet another parallel between Pekka and Kaz?????
I have no idea, this is purely theoretical, but considering that they are narrative foils and we can draw many, many parallels between them and this line is always on my mind, it’s personally my favourite solution. If you agree/disagree or have a different theory, let me know! I love stuff like this so much, it’s so interesting to see what different people think or how we might have read certain details differently

A Really Cool Detail About Might Crystals in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom

The first time I encountered a Might Crystal was maybe ~an hour into the game. I think I found it in a chest or something in Suthorn Forest and the first thing that I thought was "Huh...that looks kind of like bismuth." But, as I was so early on in the story that I didn't know much about what the Might Crystals were, I didn't think much more of it.
Well here I am with 46 additional hours worth of playtime in Echoes of Wisdom, and I'm here to say that there is a very cool reason that Might Crystals resemble bismuth crystals!
Before we get into bismuth, I need to talk about what is going on in Echoes of Wisdom. This WILL contain mid-to-late game spoilers, so do be warned.
Long before Creation there was nothing more than a void—a vast empty oblivion. Occasionally, bits of matter would spark to life in this nothingness. Nothing substantial, just small clumps of reality managing to form only for a moment. Only a moment, for anything that managed to flicker to life was devoured by the one who dwelt within this void:
Null.

Null is the main antagonist of Echoes of Wisdom. It is an ancient, incomprehensible lifeform that thrives in the absoluteness of zero. Nothingness personified.
Seeing the way these sparks of existence were so quickly extinguished, the three Golden Goddesses—Din, the Goddess of Power; Nayru, the Goddess of Wisdom; and Farore, the Goddess of Courage—descended from the heavens and forced Creation. Together, the three built the world itself and everything that makes up reality with Null imprisoned and contained at its center.
The Golden Goddess then departed back to the heavens, leaving behind the Triforce, the Secret Stones (though they aren't relevant for this, just thought I'd throw them in since we know they were created around this time), and the Tris. The Triforce and the Tris served as the glue keeping reality together; the Tris specifically being created to maintain the structure of the world, as even though Null was imprisoned that didn't stop it from consuming and returning the world to nothingness.
From the point of Creation onward, Null and the Tris were locked in a delicate balancing act of destruction and recreation. Null ate away at the world, creating rifts that tore through reality. And in turn, the Tris constantly patched up these rifts, quickly restoring what was lost.
This return to nothingness is a major part of the themes of Echoes of Wisdom, and why Might Crystals likely were inspired by bismuth.
Might Crystals—as well as the energy they produce—are some of the only things capable of withstanding Null and the void. When everything else is lost, these crystals remain. But what does this have to do with Bismuth?
Well visually both Might Crystals and Bismuth share the iconic stairstep spiral growth structure, but the main reason I believe bismuth to be the inspiration for the Might Crystals is the Bismuth-209 isotope.
Bismuth was previously thought to be the heaviest stable element, with only one stable isotope (Bismuth-209). I say previously because in 2003, a research team at the IAS (Institut d'Astrophysique Spatiale, a research institute in France) came to the realization that the Bismuth-209 isotope is actually undergoing alpha decay at an incredibly slow rate. How slow? Well it was determined that Bismuth-209 has a half life of approximately...
2.01x10^19 years. Or about 20,100,000,000,000,000,000 years (20 quintillion if you don't know/don't want to count out the zeroes).
For reference, that is billions of years longer than the current estimated age of the universe.
It is because of this inconceivably long half-life that it is said that bismuth will be among the last elements to disintegrate. And it is that bit of information that I believe inspired Might Crystals. If you need to come up with a crystal that can withstand nothingness itself and outlive matter in a void that consumes endlessly, what better choice to base it off of than the element that decays so slow that we used to think that it was stable?
I just thought that it was a cool detail. This is a bit different from my other Zelda posts—as this isn't me talking about the lore and story, but rather me talking about a possible irl inspiration for something in the series—but I thought this was really cool and I wanted to share my thoughts.
#maybe I'll make more science posts too#echoes of wisdom is incredible. i wasn't expecting the absolutely INSANE lore that it revealed#i will be making posts about it. i just need to think and process it all#echoes of wisdom#the legend of zelda: echoes of wisdom#tloz eow#eow#loz eow#tloz#loz#echoes of wisdom spoilers#eow spoilers#tloz eow spoilers#Null#Might Crystals#bismuth#the legend of zelda#legend of zelda

professor!san x f!reader

topics/warnings: professor san, student reader, oral sex, desperate san, dom!san, fem!reader, kinda normal?, both of you are whipped, a lot of plot
a/n: hi guys! i’ve been kinda ia just because i haven’t been motivated to write but i’m finally putting another one out! although it’s kinda plain (maybe?) i hope you guys still enjoy~
wc: 1.65k
after what seemed like hours, the dismissal bell finally rang. instead of your usual sorrow that you had to leave your favorite class, of which the professor you were absolutely infatuated with, a pang of nervousness hit you like a bus. you glanced anxiously around the classroom and then slowly down into your hand, reading the small note written in almost cursive neat handwriting which was so obviously written with gentle care.
Please see me after class
-C.S.
you had dreaded this moment ever since he slipped the note face down onto your desk during his lecture. you always made a point to sit front and center in his class so you could see him from the closest angle that the large lecture hall had to offer. whether he was wearing his signature black suit, almost too tight for his structured frame and broad shoulders, or a more relaxed sweater, he almost glistened while he was standing at the front of his class. the way he confidently spoke while addressing the class or when he silently but intently sat at his desk grading papers always made you feel a way you had never before.
although nervous, at the same time you couldn't help but feel... excited? why did he want to see you? after class? the way he gave you the note so nonchalantly made your face heat up. you couldn't help but imagine why in the world he would want to see you of all people.
as your classmates left the room you stood up, your bag thrown over your shoulder, and walked to his desk at the front of the auditorium. you wanted to see me? you asked timidly.
he looked up from the paper he was reading (presumably grading) and smiled softly. as your eyes met, it was as if someone had tied your souls together in that very moment. you tried to hold back the butterflies that were rushing through your stomach.
‘yes.. well i just wanted to ask where you got the idea for your last thesis paper? i read it thoroughly multiple times and i’ve got to say.. i’ve never read anything like it.’ he said with the same smile on his face. you were taken aback by his words. the thought of him going over and over again rereading your paper inevitably made your face heat up. you scanned his face for any kind of acknowledgment of your reaction to no avail.
you tried to form an appropriate response despite your mind being jumbled. after a few attempts at stuttering and apologizing, (even though you were just digging yourself into a deeper hole) you just sighed. he had successfully undone you within a matter of minutes. he chuckled at the sight with a knowing smirk, now fully understanding the effect he had on you.
following your insanely embarrassing stunt, the two of you spent a minute in a comfortable silence just looking at each other. you had no idea what his intentions were. did he feel the same way about you as you did him? there was no way. although wildly inappropriate, you couldn’t help but imagine the two of you in ways that would put the fifty shades series to shame; just as you had done over and over before. in this moment it felt like anything could happen. the tension in the air was so thick it could be cut flawlessly with even the weakest knife.
soon after your eyes locked, your lips followed soon after. he broke the kiss for a split second to quickly pull off his glasses (which you found so hot). until this moment you weren't ever sure if the way he looked at you in class was your imagination or reality. the kiss you shared was passionate and strong. you could tell he's wanted to do this for a very, very long time.
san immediately took the lead, moving you gently to where you were sitting on his desk; surrounded by neat stacks of papers and textbooks that he always had so organized. as the kiss deepened, he moved his large hands from cupping your face slowly trailing down to your shoulders and eventually your breasts, taking them fully in his hands. the way he felt you had you thinking this was his last day on earth. you couldn't help but moan leaning into him from the sensation of him groping you lewdly on top of the now messy kiss.
in a whim he had pulled your shirt completely off, exposing your favorite bra to him (which you only wore on days you had his class; in hopes that one day he'd notice). ‘you have no idea how long i've wanted to do this darling’ he whispered roughly in your ear. if you weren’t completely soaked by then, you definitely were now. he could tell how desperate you were by your shaky breaths and hesitant touches along the back of his shoulders and his chest.
he quickly took this as a sign to move further, humming softly breaking the kiss to move further down your body; peppering kisses from your neck to your stomach and eventually your inner thigh. he looked up at you with big rounded eyes that were almost as desperate looking as you felt. you nodded with urgency knowing what he meant. he followed by slowly hooking his finger into the waistband of your shorts, slowly pulling down and throwing them across the room all while maintaining eye contact with you.
he took the sight that sat in front of his face; you’re nothing but a drenched mess on his desk. something he had been dreaming of for far too long. but of course, you were oblivious to this fact. he was drunk on simply the sight of you coming undone by this simple interaction. of all the women choi san had invested himself in, you were shooting to the top of his list by the second.
before you knew it, he had pulled your panties to the side and buried his face between your legs. he was drinking you up as if he had been parched for the last number of years in his life. ‘fuck baby, you’re so wet for me’ he almost moaned, trying to keep some composure in his voice. between disheveled groans and his hands swarming your body you were definitely as much of a mess as he was. you couldn’t help but let out moans and whimpers of increasing volume. he slapped his hand over your mouth without even looking up. you knew you had to be quiet because of the echos in the large empty room. you had gotten so lost in the moment that his subtle action had brought you back to reality.
he moaned deeply into you as he lapped up all of your juices. ‘fuck i want all of you. i dont care. i want you to be all mine baby, please.’ he quietly said. his voice was so dominant, but every ounce of composure he once tried to keep was long gone. if it wasnt before, it’s now obvious that he wanted you just as bad.
it didn’t take you long to get close to orgasming. he immediately knew with your heavy pants and small whimpers. as he looked up at your messy state, he thought you looked far cuter now than you ever had in his class. you threw your head back and gripped the edge of the desk as you came. he was enjoying this maybe even more than you were. you rode out your orgasm on his face, grabbing his hair with your head still back. this was so many dreams come true for you and him both in this moment.
you slid off the desk and he immediately took you in his arms. his embrace was so comforting; it was what you had been yearning for for far too long. you stayed like that for a moment. your head just right on his chest to where you could perfectly hear his heartbeat. it was in a rhythm to where it exactly soothed any nerves you had previously had.
you laid your hand on his cheek, caressing it softly. by the time you looked up at him, he was already looking at you with an emotion in his eyes you had never seen from him before. the way he could be dominant and comforting at the same time was beyond you. you never wanted this moment to end. you looked at the clock that was sitting above his desk and realized that it was about time for another class to come in.
you both quickly composed yourself and stood at his desk as if you were just talking. a wave of relief washed over you for getting dressed so quickly because students immediately began to walk in. he hastily grabbed his glasses and pushed them onto his face. luckily nobody was really paying attention to the two of you.
as the hall filled, you looked at san with a loving gaze. although it had only been a short amount of time that both your feelings had been revealed to one another, it had felt like the two of you had been interlocked for an eternity. you were relieved that he felt equally as strong towards you and any any doubts that you had ever had in your mind were washed away like serene ocean waves. he looked down at his feet
‘well… i should… uh… i’ll see you tomorrow?’
you smiled at him
‘i’ll see you tomorrow’ you said reassuringly
as you grabbed your bag and turned your back on him, you could feel his gaze staying on you. walking out of his class you smiled to yourself, not knowing what the future held for the two of you. but for now, you were content.

EVEN IN ARCADIA - CREATIVE DIRECTION BY NORUWEI - PART I

Noruwei, under the creative direction of Timcet, designed and produced the visual universe for EVEN IN ARCADIA, the fourth studio album by the British anonymous British band Sleep Token, released by RCA Records on May 9, 2025.
The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
All visuals were conceived and executed without the use of AI.
Our journey began with the Sony RCA creative team and led us into the core of Arcadia: a multi-layered concept structured into distinct environments and phases.
The title Even In Arcadia refers to the Latin phrase Et in Arcadia ego, popularized through paintings by Guercino and Nicolas Poussin, and later integrated into mysterious sculptural elements like the Shepherd's Monument at Shugborough Hall.
Arcadia, in this context, isn’t a fixed place, it’s a system of symbols, utopian imagery and fragile balance. Our mission was to translate that into a consistent visual narrative across multiple releases.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
SKETCHES
Initial concept art phases explored the thematic structure of the album: identity, conflict, metamorphosis.
RCA Creative Director Leo Araujo developed early sketches to define the main composition that could be expanded across four animated visualizers.

BANNERS
Each single was accompanied by a banner: graphic elements designed by the talented illustrator
Alex Tillbrook inspired by the song’s title and core message. Each banner will burn during the animation and the fire symbolized the ignition of a conflict that spreads throughout the entire visual universe.

CHARACTER DESIGN
In the world of Arcadia, two factions emerge: House Veridian and The Feathered Host.
Veridian stands for strength, control, and resistance (“The house must endure”).
The Feathered Host symbolizes emotion, intuition, and circularity (“The cycle must be broken”).
These two symbolic systems collide visually and conceptually throughout the four visualizers.

A Horda Alada(The Feathered Host) simboliza emoção, intuição e circularidade (“O ciclo deve ser rompido”).

THE BLACK FLAMINGO
The Flamingo is key symbol of transformation, struggle, and unstable beauty.
It appears on the album cover and in alle the animations teaser presentations.
Its 3D design was developed in collaboration with Locus Solus Studio (Amsterdam), based on a study of real flamingo movement to capture elegance and mystery in an animated context.

SINGLE 1 – EMERGENCE
SINGLE 2 – CARAMEL
Released: April 4, 2025
The scene moves inside the palace: polished marble, sharp light and shadow contrasts and filtered sunlight reveal a setting that’s both sublime and suffocating.
The environment reflects a paradox:
"The stage is a prison, a beautiful nightmare." It exposes the duality of fame and creation, trapped and observed.

SINGLE 2 – CARAMEL
SINGLE 3 – DAMOCLES
Released: April 25, 2025
We created a fountain to represents power and the weight of expectation.
As water cascades from above, the blue blossoms suggest glory, yet the structure itself evokes the ever-present possibility of collapse.

SINGLE 3 – DAMOCLES

Is there any important difference between “do” and “ydw” and “nac” and “naddo”? Should they be used in specific circumstances, or are they just different ways of saying yes or no? Diolch iawn x
Yes, there's an important difference! Basically, there's a lot of different ways to say yes/no in Welsh, usually dependent on the question being asked.
Ie/ia = Yes
Na = No
Do = I have/it has (basically confirming a thing in the past has happened)
Naddo = I haven't/it hasn't
Ydw = I am
Nac ydw/nachdw/nadw = I'm not (note that it's never just 'nac'; the 'ydw' or 'dw' is essential to turn this into 'I'm not')
Ydy = It is
Nac ydy/nachdi/nadi = It isn't
Ydyn = They are
Nac ydyn = They aren't
Oes = There is
Nag oes = There isn't
Bydd = It will
Na fydd = It won't
It sounds complicated, but you can basically figure out the version you should use by the structure of the question being asked! For example:
"Oes ci yno?" (Is there a dog?)
If affirmative: oes! If not: nag oes!
"Ydyn nhw'n mynd?" (Are they going?)
If affirmative: ydyn! If not: nac ydyn!
This is by no means a fully comprehensive answer, so here's some additional learning materials that should hopefully explain a bit more, especially when to use do/naddo and ia/na:
I personally find that you can get away with using 'na' for almost every instance of saying 'no' when speaking colloquially! I mostly just use na, nachdw and naddo; I think you can get away with just 'na' because almost every single instance of a negative starts with the 'na' sound. Unfortunately, it's not the same with the affirmatives - just using 'ia/ie' can get the meaning across if you're struggling to remember the other affirmatives, but it sounds unnatural outside of the context in which it should be used.

This house has been on the market about 240 days and there are no takers. The 1998 home in Ankeny, IA is like living in a giant garage, (the listing calls it a barndominium), 3bds, 4ba, 9,549 sq ft, $1.5m. It's a fun garage, though.
A vast sun room like no other. The owners may have gone a little overboard with wood features. And, the new buyer will be one who loves orange-y wood stain. Note the glass-enclosed display cabinets around the room.
Have you ever seen a living room with a car lift?
This kitchen looks like a sports bar, but it's not the main kitchen. There are more stools in the middle of the room.
Over here there's a family/TV area.
The view from above.
Thru the doors at the far end of the room there's a small sun room/conservatory.
The window in the dining area looks like it's a gold two-way mirror.
This is the main kitchen.
Enter the primary bedroom and there's this structure that looks like it may be a sauna. The design is kind of weird, with it's chippy plaster and open pitched roof.
On the other side of the sauna there's a fireplace and what appears to be a built-in canopy over the bed.
The walk-in closet can accommodate a huge hat collection.
Look at the size of this ensuite.
Does this tile remind anyone else of stuck-on hair?
I don't know why they designed an open children's bedroom, unless it's supposed to be a single, but they turned it into two.
This bath looks larger than the primary.
Another child's room that looks like it's in the basement.
Here's a very long game room on the 3rd fl. on top of the house.
And, this is a multi-sport gym.
Here's a weird room. You come down the stairs where there's a TV cabinet, a China cabinet, and a hot tub.
2nd floor deck.
The garage has some high tech equipment on one side and seating on the other.
The lot is 16 acres which includes the long private road to the house.
