Pretty sure people are misinterpreting "i can't tell anymore" as being that they've either kissed before or that Imogen already knew laudna's feeling.

I'm pretty sure she meant that Imogen can't tell if (any request/question) is all right anymore because she can't read thoughts. I don't think it was implying they've kissed before or that she knew how laudna felt otherwise it makes zero sense for the reactions they had following the kiss.

I am... disappointed with the latest episode. It felt like the last episode had a very clear set up, it ended with Lubelle taking over the damn radio station, and then.... nothing? No real acknowledgement of how that got resolved? I was certain we were going to start with Lubelle, that they were going to do something really clever with the format, maybe start with an "explained" Cecil. But nope. Just business as usual. And Tamika becoming a bit of a wet blanket, the hefty shift away from a tactic that definitely worked in night vale's recent history. No Carlos other than "oUGhHHHHhHHhh my husband's a scientist, cmon guys don't ban science," and all this constant referencing to old plot points that I'm worried won't go anywhere!

This latest episode was unsatisfying because it seemed clear where the story would go and they veered completely into left field. And to be honest I'm less excited for later episodes now because they've shown they're willing to take the story in directions that don't really make for a great cohesive narrative? They set the stakes so high and then said "that doesn't matter" so now I don't feel invested with any of these new, lower stakes (because I'm sorry but "the character we've gotten no time with recently can't legally do science anymore" is no where near as compelling as "the voice of night vale has been kidnapped/explained and the whole show is in jeopardy").

Cluttered. This episode felt cluttered. It felt like they were trying to dangle a dozen different potential plot threads in front of us and as a result none of them really stuck the landing.

So I watched bigbs pov (like 3 hours ago it just only tumblr time rn so some info might be wrong) here are some things I noticed

His task was the exact same as Joel’s, same wording, same everything. Nothing changed about it. Im really cunfuzzled why. There’s absolutely no reason they should’ve been exactly the same. But they were.

His vibe was super different this episode, felt like he was trying to do something. Fit in or whatever. Maybe it was love island it could’ve been that. But it was different from the beginning.

His task was white. Both episodes before it was red. And this one it was white. (Mumbos was also a totem?? But my sister made me watch his 3rd episode before I watched the rest so that might be normal) But its to the normal one.. which it wasn’t in any of the other episodes.

His vibeeeeeeeeeeeee- I know i said it before but it was so so different. And idk its like bothering me. Because it wasnt the same bigb we’ve seen in other episodes. And im not saying its bad. Its just weird. Like when someone says everything is normal and fine, but theres like a murderer, in the group yk- his vibe is different and i know it is.

As someone else who genuinely does not like Obito, what are your feelings on the ObiRin ship? Or KakaObi? (Which in my opinion Obito didn’t deserve either of them because with how he was acting with Rin, both might have been toxic. At least in the main timeline, they might have worked if the boulder incident didn’t happen or ended differently)

you know i am so extremely fascinated abt life. abt movies that are supposed to be art like Women Talking, Space Odyssey 2001, zone of interest, pulp fiction and many more.. with different subjects, different timelines. books like the goldfinch, every dostoevsky book, Sylvia plath journals, every virginia wolf novel.

things that are not just popular but actually carry meaning, metaphors about life, and represent art and humane and inhumane things. but at the same time I am so incredibly terrified to start to do anything. it's a fear I feel in my bones with not much explanation with a hint of laziness and procrastination but i just can't get myself to further do anything valuable that actually matters in life.

i am terrified of finding meaning, value, lessons, beauty, hope, about life from these people it doesn't even make sense.
