Sigmund Freud was an Austrian neurologist and the founder of psychoanalysis, a clinical method for evaluating and treating pathologies seen as originating from conflicts in the psyche, through dialogue between patient and psychoanalyst, and the distinctive theory of mind and human agency derived from it. 

Founder of Psychoanalysis: Sigmund Freud is best known as the father of psychoanalysis, a method for treating psychopathology through dialogue between a patient and a psychoanalyst. His work laid the foundation for modern psychotherapy and has profoundly impacted psychology, psychiatry, and even popular culture.

Theory of the Unconscious Mind: Freud developed the theory that human behaviour is largely influenced by the unconscious mind, which includes desires, memories, and experiences that are not accessible to the conscious mind. He introduced the concepts of the id, ego, and superego as the three parts of the human psyche.

Dream Interpretation: Freud believed that dreams are a form of wish fulfilment and provide insights into the unconscious mind. His book "The Interpretation of Dreams" (1899) is one of his most famous works, where he detailed his theories on dream analysis and the significance of dreams in understanding unconscious desires.

Developmental Stages: Freud proposed that human development occurs in a series of stages, each centred on erogenous zones. These stages are oral, anal, phallic, latent, and genital. He believed that experiences during these stages profoundly impact an individual’s personality and behaviour in adulthood.

Controversial Theories: Many of Freud's theories, such as the Oedipus complex, have been highly controversial and have sparked extensive debate and criticism. Despite the controversies, Freud's work has remained influential, and his ideas continue to be studied and discussed in psychology, literature, and cultural studies.

Psychoanalytic Theory, proposed by one of the known contributors in psychology - Sigmund Freud, suggests that our unconscious desires influence our present behavior and personality. According to this theory, our personality consists of desires, urges, and instincts we are not always aware of. For instance, in a romantic relationship, you may consciously put into actions or words to show your love for a person. However, when asked why you love that person, you may catch yourself not fully understanding why and may even seem irrational. This unexplainable thought that keeps lingering in our minds is the work of our unconscious. This theory plays a vital role in how we construct our personality.

The main actors of the psychoanalytic theory that structures our personality are the id, the ego, and the superego. These three play a huge part in constructing decisions, and most of the time, they play in confusion, as depicted by my chosen learning artifact. The id is the core of our personality entirely in the unconscious that consists of illogical, primitive, and chaotic thoughts and urges. Its role is to feed our pleasure, much like the bad actor of the mind who only wants happiness and avoids suffering. Applying it to my personal experience, the id is the side of me who consistently want to watch Korean dramas while lying in bed with a tub of ice cream on the side for a straight week or two. However, another actor that also needs attention is the superego. The superego is the good actor in the unconscious, very moral and idealistic. It is driven by our conscience (judgment of right or wrong) and ego-ideal (what we want to become). Personally, the superego is the one telling me never to watch Korean drama because I have to study 24/7 in order to be an honor student. Given this dilemma, one has got to mediate; and that is the role of the ego. The ego is the only one with contact with the conscious, our reality. It is the decision-maker that considers the need of the ego and superego. Its job to reconcile both claims is never easy. The dilemma drives us to act humanly, which is to be anxious, and we either suppress them using different defense mechanisms or feel a sense of guilt.

  To achieve harmony between these three is the goal of becoming a psychologically healthy person. As for me, the conflict between my id and superego is answered by the good judgment of my ego. I have first to finish my schoolworks because that is a priority. After finishing my schoolworks, I will reward myself with that little progress by watching my favorite Korean dramas. This is what is ideal, but this is not always the case. There are situations where my id dominates or sometimes my superego. But the quest to be psychologically healthy will never be linear, and that is okay. For now, what is important for me is to create a good judgement that would suffice the needs of the id and superego, one situation at a time.

氷山図からユング-マイヤーズ理論とソシオニクスの関係を探る

ユングのタイプ論により人格を16類型に分けた理論にユング-マイヤーズ理論というものがあり、それに基づいて古典的な心理統計により作成した質問紙法により診断するツールをMBTIというそうです。

*現在 MBTI協会の実施している質問紙は心理機能との関連性は薄く なんの医学的根拠もありません。MBTI協会の理論運用は臨床心理学にもとづいたユングの実践からはかけ離れており、信頼性は皆無といってよいでしょう

本来、その理論的基盤はユングのタイプ論による心理機能の発達を軸にしており 心理機能の発達順列を探るために心理統計によるチェックリストが肴として用意されているに過ぎません。発達障害の診断において 心理士がWAISを利用して見立てるがごとくです

WAISの数値的な結果のみで障害がわかるのではありません。心理士は受検態度や生育歴から見立てをおこないます

受検者は��し出された質問紙の内容にこれってどんな意味ですかとか どんな状況でのことをいってるんですかとか 検査者に聞くでしょう。その様子を観察��て見立てるのです

実際に会った時の服装 態度 待ち合わせ時間 座る位置 挨拶 受検までの経緯 表情 目の動き 身振り手振り 喋りかた 反応のタイミング...それらすべてを観察して見立てとします

極論 WAISを肴にしてもある程度の見立てはおこなえるでしょう。なぜなら すべての行動にその人の心理機能の反射がみられるのであって、ビッグファイブ式質問紙にしか心理機能の反射が見られない訳ではないのですから

ただしWAISは認知のみの測定であり 判断機能はやはり協会の開発したものを媒体とするのが現状ではベストのようです

そもそも ユング思想の出発点は 統計的に対象者の心象のあらわれを決めつけるフロイト流の精神分析学への疑問だったのですから ユングの実践がチェックリストに答えてはい終わりになるはずがないのです。

理論的には

心理学の基礎的な考えかたとしてユングはフロイトを包摂するものとされています

ところが ウィキペディアのフロイトの項では 氷山図といって 図2ように解説されています

二者の整合性をとると

図3の画像とならなければ辻褄が合いません*

おそらくこれは フロイトを含めた当時の診察室の主要層である中産階級以上の人々の仮面的心理状態をあらわしているものと思われます

自我超自我が意識を覆い尽くしてしまっています。因習や社会的倫理に縛られ本能を抑圧している状態のことを表したのであって 全人類に適用できたものではなかったはずです。

氷山図は フロイトが示した精神病理の構造をあらわしているに過ぎません

少なくとも そこに気づいたのがユングであったとは言えるでしょう

この図に従って理論を構築するわけにはいきません

それを踏まえると イドは本能(非合理認知機能) 自我が理性(合理的認知機能)としてユングと対応させることができます

ここで注意したいのが 思考も感情も 認知機能の一つに過ぎず それに基づいて価値判断を下して初めて自我(判断機能)となり得るということです

認知は本能 判断機能とは社会性のことであり

認知と判断の連携パターン(状況に応じてスキーマを決定づける���システム)をタイプ分けすることができるというのが心理機能論の根幹を成す考えかたです

ラザルスザイアンス論争は感情が認知機能のどこからどの段階で発生するかという問題であって 感情が認知か判断かという話ではありません

ユング-マイヤーズ理論とよく似ていて混同されるものにソシオニクスというものがあり、国内サイトではsw8pc5というかたのブログで詳しく紹介されているのですが

どうもこの辺を理解されていないようで ウィキペディア氷山図に従って順列降っちゃったばかりか イドと超イド逆にして紹介なさっているようです(図4)

従って図4ENTpの例をあげますと**

あえて番号をフロイト式に振り直すと図5のようになります。なるほど無意識下でINTJが鏡像関係にいる(湖面に映る影/紙に意識上の機能を書込み無意識との境目で谷折にすると現れる機能順列像)てなるけど

ここで思い出されるのがタイプ論の記述と感覚分化理論の一致です

認知の軸は投影対置ではなく感覚分化のスペクトラムだとすれば Se-Niが鍛えられてるかは人による

認知の軸がSi-Neに偏りがあれば Seの先にあるNiはもっと弱いことになり 番号を振るのには無理がある

しかしどうだろう わたしたちは なにかを知覚するとき 観察(Se)すると同時に記憶(Si)もしています。その知覚の優位性によって意味飽和(Se)からの統合(Ni)と感覚の内部取り込み(Si)からの連想(Ne)の発達バランスも決まるということではないでしょうか

無意識(未発達)のものを無理矢理引き立てようとする あるいは メイン機能を経ないと働かない対置機能だけ独立して働かせようとすると 自己矛盾に悩まされ神経症のリスクを負うことになる

仮面(環境に求められる自己像の強制)とは 脳機能に負担をかけるために起きる現象であるといえます

こう気づいたのがユングで彼の振りかたならおそらく図6(氷山図にすると図7)のような感じのほうが適切でせうでしょう

それを思考のフローに直すと①'は④の位置に置くことになり

よりわかりやすく描いたモデルとして かの有名なユング-マイヤーズ理論の機能石積みフロー図8に書き換えることができます(真ん中の内向外向を分けるバーはメインと対置の境目。ちょっとはみ出た側が対置)

最終的に ソシオニクスが表すタイプはもとから仮面がもっとも極端に現れた場合前提であり 本来のタイプは真逆であるということが示されています。

人は自分に近い人格から始まり さまざまな偶像遍歴を経 最終的に真逆の人格の偶像破壊を���成して自己肯定を成す これがペルソナとシャドウの関係です。

したがって ソシオニクスでのENTpは本来ISFp(MBTIでいうところのISFJ)であるということになるだけで

結局 ソシオニクスとMBTIの根は同じ理論のはずなんですけども

前者は自己認知がいつまでたっても成立しないことになり理論的に破綻しています。

ソシオニクスは偶像破壊体験つまり三つ子の魂への回帰を無視している

というか ペルソナとシャドウの関係を間違えて捉えている

運用するならペルソナの否定から始めシャドウの肯定に終わらなければなりません

しかしながら素朴な疑問 ヒトは必ずしも本来のタイプと真逆のタイプを最終偶像に選ぶとは限りませんし それが仮面となって固着するかどうかはもっとあり得ないでしょう

そもそも その普遍性の薄さに気づいたのがユングだったのですからソシオニクスは混ぜっ返しもいいところです

言い換えればソシオニクスの目的は、ペルソナの最終形態を個の人格タイプとすることで苦手機能をカバーしていくことなんですね

よくいえば心理機能のバランスをとることなんですけど

逆にいえばその人の得意機能を伸ばす方向性を捨てることになり、飛び抜けた才能が育まれたりはしません

出る杭をつくらないこと、小さくともみんな粒揃いになること、それは極めて共産主義的な発想によるものです

見方を変えればロシア(旧ソビエト)が支配しやすい国民性を育むための政治的利用ツールとして採用された背景が窺われます

本人が自分の持って生まれた才を生き切ることにはなりません

下手をすればユングの懸念していた神経症を促進する結果となりかねないでしょう

天才など要らない、みんなが粒揃いになって競争の起きない状態にすれば平和なんだ、ソシオニクス理論はそういいたいようです

平和主義の顔をして実際にやっていることは才能潰し、お得意の焚書坑儒のために捻じ曲げられた理論であるといえます

従いまして 本ブログはユング心理学におけるユング-マイヤーズ理論の正統性を支持するものとしてスタートを切る次第です

*環境という波に揺られ無意識が表に出たり水面下に没したりします。この環境という用語が厄介で 意識下の機能がすべて自我超自我ということに解釈してしまう図2では 認知機能までもが環境によって形成できるというトンデモ理論の形成につながったのかもしれません

しかし 落ち着いて考えてみてください。認知機能(直観や感覚)とは本能であり イド超イドでなければ辻褄が合いません

フロイトを包摂するユングとしては「環境」とは社会や文化 親のしつけのみを意味するのではなく、遺伝子や家系 民族性などの進化的な背景も含むと捉えています

ソシオニクスが隆盛したと思われる’80年代は 「環境による」というフロイト式の言い方が独り歩きしたのか脳機能は育てるものという英才教育の全盛期でもありました

しかし'90年代あたりから発達障害が社会的に大きくクローズアップされるようになり 英才教育ビジネスは脳の出来不出来あるいは人格のモデルは7割遺伝子由来であるという過酷な現実にさらされ始めています

タイプ論の記述に合致しかつ近年の発達心理学、脳機能理論にファジーな整合性を採れる理論はユング-マイヤーズ理論のみのようです

さようならペルソナただいまシャドウ

ペルソナは「獲得」しにいくものではなく、実態としては他者をモデルに心理機能の発達を成し遂げ昨日よりはちょっとマシな自分になりかわっていく過程を言い換えたものに過ぎず

最終的にはモラトリアムの終焉をもって全心理機能の有用性なり価値を認め、もとの人格(シャドウ)を肯定し「ものわかりのよい大人になる」という、ある種の諦念をあらわしたものがタイプ論における心理機能の発達です。

すなわち老荘をはじめとする東洋思想における

才(うまれつき)を生きるを是とする無為自然の理を体現する内観こそが

ユング心理学実践の本質であると捉え本ブログの筆おこしといたします
