This morning, I saw an article from Axios that discussed the 10th anniversary of Little Caesars Arena’s opening and how it has never hosted an NBA or NHL All-Star game. I found this interesting because I spent time in Detroit and remember how much the Ilitch family pushed for this new arena and surrounding developments. Back in 2014, the city of Detroit was debating what to do with the old arena…

ok so i got a couple likes and one reblog saying yes so i'll tell you about odette-

so her name is Odette Ilyna (referencing Tchaikovsky's middle name. Suggested by someoen in the comments). She's about 17(how old are the characters in nevermore-)

she's albino with glassy blue eyes and long white eyelashes ( and hair and skin). She usually keeps her long hair in different types of braids. she's pretty much average height but she's really thin.

On the personnality side she's pretty timid. Nobody ever notices she's there, and she does nothing to change that. She's mute, so she talks in sign language (now this is for the french girlies: she's based off the swan lake, and in french, swan is cygne. Sign, in french, is signe, but is pronounced the same way as cygne. So, when she talks in sign language she also talks in swan language! ok that was lame sorry back to the character-)

yeah so for the backstory:

Her parents died when she was about 6 years old and she was taken in by her aunt Babooshka. It was at that time she lost her voice. She never liked her aunt, who forced her to do ballet.

she died in 1877, at the premiere of the swan lake, where she played the character she shared a name with(aka the main character). But then, a prop fell on her(caused by a jealous rival) and she basically died.

Her spectre is the swan princess. It's the benevoelnt type. She looks like a ballerina in a blue tutu with swan attributes like face markings and wings(i'm still working on her design hehe)

also btw in her suitcase she had blue ballerina shoes. And she's a disaster bi. And she dislikes Annabel because she reminds her of her aunt. Also shes part of the misfits even if she has her spectre because she has a crush on lenore, and she prefers their chaotic energy over the haughty air of bourgeoisie of the clusterfucks

This is what conservatives are “outraged” about today.

Not gun violence.

Not homelessness.

Not lack of universally affordable healthcare.

Not sexual harassment or keeping reproductive rights.

Republicans are mad that Little Caesars owner, Mike Ilitch, paid housing expenses for Civil Rights icon, Rosa Parks; and they’re “mad” that Burger King has Pride burgers (two top buns or two bottom buns) in honor of Pride month.

So if you see any “boycott Burger King” or “boycott Little Caesars” trending on social media, that’s why.

Republicans are bigoted, vile, disgusting people.

Imagine itching to start your home improvement project, but the Driller Killer has other plans.

The house hadn’t been renovated in… how many decades? It was very eighties.

But not new wave, not what you envisioned. Especially in this retro-lighted dream.

Except for the mystery man you were dreaming about. Kinda greaser-esque. Pretty rockabilly.

Must be lucid, because it feels like I’m awake.

But there was your man.

Freddy, eat your heart out, you thought, as the rocker came swinging into view.

Asleep or not, you were more interested in rooting through the toolbox. Not that he seemed to notice. The musician was singing about his financial success. Did he think you were a groupie?

“I might need that in a few minutes,” you noted, pointing at his guitar/drill, eyes fixed on the wide array of tools you weren’t aware you had.

Weird toolbox. It was like a magician’s bag. Each time you pulled up the wrong thing, you dropped it back in until deciding it might be easier to just set them aside until you found the right one.

“You don’t need that.” The Driller Killer took the stud finder from your hand.

“No, no, I don’t.”

Your eyes slid over to his, surprisingly not calloused despite expert strumming. Maybe he used a pick most of the time. Nice gloves.

“Maybe later. Or next time,” he drawled, taking the tape measure. That suggestion also caught. What would it be like if he kept those fingerless gloves on while reaching under your nightie? “…when I can just show you.”

You shook your head and pulled up another tool. “I really want to get started on my project.”

The killer’s eyes widened. “You won’t be needing those,” he added, all but tossing the pliers.

“I think,” you said, grabbing his hands, “I just need these.”
