Who is your favourite blorbo?

Anyone who achieves Blorbo Prime status IS my favorite! I just get entirely obsessed with them one* at a time so they're sort of on a rotating schedule....But they all still have their little gold star even when they're on vacation I will say though, I am appreciating that i can really throw thavu into concrete much harder than I could with Umami or even Cookie. Girl is built different, im gonna chuck her through 10 walls like an anime

8. What kind of flavours does your oc like? How much spice can they handle?

ok so mona loves sweets teehee but it's kind of a secret because shes is hyper-aware of how bad it is for her teeth rip.... apart from that she really likes umami flavours and stews and pies.... shes a great cook so she'll try anything! with spice she can handle quite a lot but she doesn't like if it's the main flavour in a dish.

23. How graceful is your oc? Are they elegant in their movements, or more clumsy?

mona is very elegant hehe, she was a little clumsy as a kid but learned how to move with composure in the institute. She has incredibly steady hands as well, so they move very gracefully (considering she talks with her hands quite a bit its a captivating sight)

24. Is your oc a romantic, or are they grossed out by the simple mention of anything romantic?

despite her cold demeanour, mona is a big hopeless romantic HAHA, she's always been fascinated by those fairytale romances and I think she yearns for such a close and loving connection! although once her big romance finally happened (and it wasn't such a fairytale after all), she kind of loved the more domestic and personal romantic gestures more. she hates corny cliches with a passion tho and feels uncomfortable with romance if she doesn't honestly care for the person, so most of her flings (aka hookups) tend to be cold and impersonal. but yeah i do think shes a romantic girl teehee :)

Teng also wanted to add some non-gender related elements from her personal life into the film to further break stereotypes — Yi-ming’s son has some autistic tendencies, but Teng draws from her educational background to create a character that differs greatly from most people’s impressions of an autistic child.

The six-episode mini-drama series made headlines earlier as Taiwan’s first title to be officially selected to the prestigious French Series Mania International Festival.

I have social phobia / clinical depression + I’m a perfectionist / attention seeker. I worry a lot. 

what is one scene of a book that made you really sad?

I read a bunch of Stephen King classics in the last year (so The Shining, Doctor Sleep, Salem’s Lot, Firestarter, The Mr Merecedes series, The Stand - again - and finally IT) and a lot of them made me incredibly sad. I love King’s reality, he writes incredibly real characters, but that also means that when awful shit happens to them you feel even worse. I found IT incredibly difficult to read and parts of it were truly awful, but Doctor Sleep had a really intense guilt plot line that just killed me. Its harsh as hell.

i started making this dnd character to personify how much i hate contrived family get-togethers like christmas or thanksgiving.. so concept a was a maid in a noble family who grew up watching how rigorous and stifling the atmosphere was around people who had to act so astutely and always chose their words and passions carefully vs the waitstaff who were much closer and more familial and kind towards her

and then the concept grew so that she eventually after listening in on a few conversations, sneaking peeks at notes and connecting some red threads, she figures out a Secret that could easily ruin the lives of everyone in charge. it then just so happens that her mentor, the children’s violin instructor who had taken a shining to her over the years and eventually taught her the Ways of the Music (this is where i have to admit she was originally conceptualized as a dnd bard but like.. sh..) 

her mentor passes away with little to no fanfare from the family and their flippancy towards her death is what breaks her, sends her over the edge, and with only word of warning towards her adoptive mother of the impending fallout, she sends a letter to the right party and then tears off in the middle of the night without looking back

later we catch up with her and she’s found a life for herself.. with her musical and magic talent she’s managing to make it by as a performer along with a tiefling wizard named nez who specializes in Special Effects while she plays

and like.. bc she was a dnd character i kind of let her hang there in stasis for a while (technically nez cant exist but Fuck It i love them) but i still get ideas now and again and this new one just consumed me

because in her original draft i knew she was close with the nobles’ children but the more i think about it the more i just Know that she was close, incredibly close.. too close to their daughter who was her age and adored her growing up but eventually succumbed to the coldness of her family which tore a rift between them and they never quite worked it out.. and then one party tanked the other ones’ life, finances and good name and fuckin BOLTED so basically there’s a lot of bad blood and a lot of leftover unspoken feelings

and instead of talking it out or moving on they just keep tabs on each other over time because there’s still Something- restitution, guilt, anger, umami, - that keeps them going but neither are ready to have The Confrontation so instead they sit and sulk and never ever ever think about how much of their life changed because of a bad breakup

and then eventually? they talk? idk i havent daydreampt it yet but i imagine they cross paths a few times before they finally dramatically settle their debts and stand at 0 again...and it takes a while, they probably call on each other for favors as they try to navigate their respective life paths, first only contacting each other by necessity before they start to find again the pieces of each other that drew them together and eventually rekindling what they once had.....

(but also im still daydreaming this from day to day and i dont want to like.. tie her down to one girl lmao this is like one branch in her otome journey)

but yeah anyway thanksgiving sucks, dnd, chidlhood friends to enemies to lovers

Ultimativer Berlin Food Guide

11 Tage in Berlin – 11 Tage, um ganz viel großartiges Essen auszuprobieren! Mir ist kürzlich aufgefallen, dass ich keinen richtigen Berlin Food Guide habe und habe mich deshalb dazu entschlossen, einen zu erstellen, den ich bei den hoffentlich vielen weiteren Malen in der Hauptstadt ergänzen kann.

Ich bin von Wien schon gewohnt, eine große Vielfalt an gutem Essen zu haben, aber Berlin übertrifft wirklich jeden Foodie-Traum.   Gesundes Essen, süße Cafés, Frühstück, Bars und ausgefallene Kreationen an jeder Ecke. Die Stadt bietet so viel, dass wir selbst in 11 Tagen nur einen Bruchteil geschafft haben. Immerhin ist es uns diesmal gelungen, viel Neues auszuprobieren und nicht nur die altbekannten Favoriten zu besuchen. Also, here we go: Das Ergebnis von 11 Tagen Foodporn (und noch viel mehr):

Für immer einer meiner liebsten Food-Hotspots in Berlin mit mega leckerem Frühstück, Kaffee, Smoothies, aber auch frischen Salaten, Broten und Kuchen. Sehr viele Gerichte sind glutenfrei, die meisten auch vegan. An Freitagen, Samstagen und Sonntagen gibt es vegane und glutenfreie Waffeln – ganz große Liebe!

Numas

Bunte Lunchbowls lassen mein Herz höher schlagen – und davon gibt es eine Vielzahl im Numas. Außerdem gibt es Säfte, Kaffee und auch Frühstück.

My Goodness

My Goodness bietet eines meiner liebsten Frühstücksoptionen in Berlin an – den Hipwell Protein Pod. Mega cremige, proteinreiche Overnight Oats mit Banane und Erdnussbutter. Außerdem gibt es Smoothie Bowls, Bananenbrot, Energy Balls und an Wochenenden auch Brote, beispielsweise mit Avocado. Ein besonderes Plus ist auch die angenehme Atmosphäre, in der es sich perfekt lesen und am Laptop arbeiten lässt.

Kauf dich Glücklich am Park

Kauf dich glücklich am Park ist nicht nur ein Bekleidungsgeschäft, sondern auch ein kleines Café. Es gibt hier Eis, vegane und nicht-vegane Waffeln und auch pikantes Crêpes. Die Waffeln waren die besten Veganen, die ich jemals irgendwo gegessen hatte, und Mitten in Mitte in der Sonne zu sitzen, war ein Traum! Große Empfehlung!

East and Eden

Nach einer Woche, in der Chris fast nur Chia Pudding und co. essen „durfte“, musste für ihn mal ein deftigeres Frühstück her. So verschlug es uns ins East and Eden in der Nähe vom Rosenthaler Platz. Das Café ist ein super Arbeitsplatz, der Kaffee ist lecker und es gibt sogar Salat zum Frühstück. Sowohl Veganer, als auch Allesesser, kommen auf ihre Kosten.

Father Carpenter

Father Carpenter war einer unserer liebsten Café-Spots in ganz Berlin. Chris hatte eine mega leckere Summer Bowl mit Tapenade und ich das wohl beste, vegane Bananenbrot mit Whipped Peanutbutter und Marmelade. Kaffee, Ambiente, Essen und Personal waren wirklich top.

Napoljonska

Das Napoljonska war ein bisschen wie Berlin selbst: chaotisch, schräg, aber trotzdem liebenswert. Das vegane Frühstück war sehr lecker und dank dem gefühlten Kilo an Gemüse und Grünzeug wahnsinnig sättigend. Es wird sogar glutenfreies Brot angeboten und das ganze Café serviert nur vegetarische Speisen.

Berlin Burrito Company

Berlin Burrito Company lag fast genau gegenüber von unserem Airbnb, deshalb dauerte es nicht lang, bis es uns hierhin verschlug. Man kann die Zutaten für Burritos, Tacos, Burrito Bowls oder Quesedias selbst wählen und so auch eine vegane oder vegetarische Variante zusammenstellen. Die Portionen sind riesig und es war unglaublich lecker – perfekt für alle, die auch niemals genug von mexikanischem Essen bekommen.

Nihombashi

Nihombashi bietet Ramen, klassisches Sushi und Sashimi, asiatische Vorspeisen und ausgefallenere Kreationen mit schwarzem Reis. Gerade im Sommer ist es toll, hier Mitten am Rosenthaler Platz draußen zu sitzen und die Sonne zu genießen.

Eden

Wer mich kennt, der weiß, dass für mich nichts über vietnamesisches Essen geht (außer vielleicht Sushi und Mexikanisch, die sind so gut wie gleichauf). Deshalb war das Eden einer meiner Favoriten – mega gute Sommerrollen, Mangosalat und meine niemals langweilig-werdende Bestellung: Reis mit gebratenem Gemüse.

Simela Finest Food

Wer in Berlin auf der Suche nach glutenfreier Pizza ist, sollte unbedingt ins Simela gehen. Hier gibt es Pizza aus Buchweizenteig, vegane Optionen, aber auch ganz klassische Pizza mit Weizenteig und nicht-veganem Belag. Somit ist für alle was dabei.

Factory Girl

Im Factory Girl gibt es klassisches Frühstück, guten Kaffee, aber auch sehr leckere Mittagsgerichte und ein einzigartiges Dessert, das mich ein bisschen an Tiramisu oder Profiterol erinnert hat. Ein super nettes Café, liebes Personal und eines meiner liebsten Mittagsgerichte der Reise

Good Bank

Die wohl innovativste Salatbar Berlins, in der der Salat selbst angebaut wird. Man kann fertige Salatkreationen wählen, sich aber auch selbst die Bowl zusammenstellen. Mein Highlight war hier das vegane Trüffeldressing und unlimitiertes Gratisbrot – hmmm!

Süße Sünde

Ins „Süße Sünde“ hat es uns mehrmals verschlagen und das Eis war wirklich eine Sünde wert Ich hatte das Dunkle Schokolade Eis und es war tatsächlich wie ein Brownie in Eisform – so lecker!

  Kreuzberg

Attila Hildmann Snackbar

In der Attila Hildmann Snackbar waren wir sogar zwei Mal und es war ein Gedicht. Das Personal und die Lage sind vielleicht nicht ideal, aber das Essen hat uns zu 1000% überzeugt. Endlich mal vegane Burger ohne Sojapatty, die auch noch mega lecker schmecken! Ich habe einmal den Daisho Burger gegessen und bei unserem zweiten Besuch einen Cheeseburger. Der Daisho Burger war ganz besonders – mit Reis statt klassischem Brot und gefüllt mit gebackener Aubergine. Es hatte was von Burger, aber auch was von Sushi, was ich mega fand. Ganz große Liebe diese Burger!

Heimweh

Ganz zufällig waren wir bei Heimweh, weil es in der Markthalle 9 am Streetfood Thrusday kaum vegane, sojafreie Optionen gab. Für nur knapp 6€ gabs hier mega leckere Kumpir mit vielen veganen Zutaten, wie Hummus, Gemüse, Avocado, Oliven, Bohnen,… So einfach, aber so lecker! Auch die Besitzer waren extrem freundlich und bemüht.

Markthalle 9

Der Streetfood Thursday in der Markthalle 9 ist super cool, aber leider nicht sehr soy-free vegan freundlich. Immerhin habe ich ein veganes Pastel de Nata (hier Pastel de Nada) gefunden, das mega war. Die nicht-Veganer unserer Runde waren sehr happy mit ihrem Essen und haben pikante Galettes, Pad Thai und brasilianisches Street Food genossen.

  Prenzlauer Berg

Haferkater

Wer Porridge liebt, kommt am Haferkater wirklich nicht vorbei. Hier wird zu einem echt guten Preis ganz traditionelles Porridge mit verschiedenen Toppings serviert. Außerdem gibt es Brote, Bowls, guten Kaffee und veganen oder nicht-veganen Kuchen.

Umami

Mein Lieblings-Vietnamese, bei dem wir am ersten Abend essen waren. Die Speisen wurden innerhalb von 5 Minuten serviert und das Menü ist super vegan-freundlich. Besonders toll fand ich, dass es Sommerrollen, als auch Wok-Gerichte, mit Saitan gab. Sehr sehr lecker, ein toller Gastgarten und eine große Vielfalt an Gerichten.

Nothaft Seidel

Ganz zufällig sind wir im Nothaft Seidel gelandet, nachdem wir festgestellt hatten, dass die glutenfreie „Jute Bäckerei“ nur am Wochenende Frühstück serviert. Das kleine, bisschen versteckte Café ist ein veganes Paradies – es gibt veganen Kuchen, vegane Croissants, Sandwiches mit veganem Cream Cheese und Salate, sowie Açai Bowls und co. Bisschen typischer Berlin Flair, bisschen vintage, aber wirklich nett.

Tribeca Ice Cream

Nachdem eine Freundin Tribeca Ice Cream empfohlen hatte, mussten wir diese Eisdiele sofort ausprobieren. Veganes, sojafreies Eis, ohne Industriezucker und mit ausgefallenen Zutaten wie Maca und Baobab. Mir hat das Eis super geschmeckt, aber man muss schon dazusagen, dass es gesünder schmeckt als gewöhnlicheres Eis. Es ist auf jeden Fall mit viel Liebe gemacht und man schmeckt, wie hochwertig die Zutaten sind.

Charlottenburg

893

Eine Empfehlung für Abende, an denen man mal etwas feiner essen gehen möchte. Nachdem wir in Wien ja unfassbar gerne ins Mochi gehen, wurde uns das 893 empfohlen. Ein richtig cooles, Asian-Fusian-Kitchen Restaurant, bei dem man auch an der Bar sitzen und live beim Kochen zusehen kann. Die veganen Optionen sind eher begrenzt und wahrscheinlich kommen eher Allesesser auf ihre Kosten.

Friedrichshein

Macando

Ganz spontan habe ich noch Melina in Berlin getroffen und sie hat mir das Macando gezeigt. Wahrscheinlich ein ziemlicher Geheimtipp, aber sehr sehr lecker. Hier gibt es süßamerikanisches Frühstück, Empanadas und co.

Neuköln

Bramibals Donuts

Der Himmel für alle Veganer mit einer Vielfalt an veganen Donuts. Für alle, die, wie ich, keine Donuts mögen, gibt es auch leckere, Bagels, Café oder Limonaden. Chris fand die veganen Donuts aber auch jeden Fall super.
