Things I make for myself when insomnia kicks in

Just a chart about what I wanna change up and keep consistent in my art - I mainly wanna draw Raph with a tail because he deserves one, it fits too well. Donnie gets a long tail too because I didn’t realize how dino-like he looks until I gave him one, and now it’s a must for me haha.

TOTTMNT Info from SDCC

- They showed characters designs of all the cast (images on keep reading)

- Rod is Bishop’s assistant

- Leo & Raph banter is back

- Hun & Angel are also back

- they got separated from a firework explosion

- the show has two arcs , first arc is about bishop and second arc is about the sea mutants

- the intro will change each time a character’s arc changes (the intro song that was just released had a punkish vibe because they are starting with the mechazoid arc , sea mutants will appear in another version of the intro)

- the audience had a preview of the upcoming episodes & there’s been good feedback :D !!

omg i’m glad you asked bc i fully buy into @allforthegayphase’s theory that Jeremy is an addict (fun fact she told me this theory via dm months ago and then separately @problemduetest4life came up with a similar Jeremy addict theory in their incredible fic i’m obsessed with)

on top of this i think since Jeremy’s family is in the government/rich elite + his biological dad is in the military in the early 2000’s (and it sounds like Jeremy didn’t move around with him based off that one scene in tsc so he and his bio dad may not be close or not on the best of terms) so his family is like oof so you’re an addict and you’re gay? yikes keep the gay part to yourself (ie his family is not going to like Jean lol and Jeremy’s got some pretty serious self esteem issues by way of dismissing his own struggles)

personally i think it would be a bit cheesy for Jeremy to be like linked with the Moriyamas or like. Seth’s older brother lol but i think those theories can be fun and i’m up for whatever Nora cooks up tbh as long as it makes sense. so to answer your question lol i think Jeremy’s backstory is not going to be like totally outlandish but he’s dealing with his own problems for sure

thinking deeply about vivian ratcliff. grew up in fort collins, colorado with a good family, a good childhood, filled with many homemade dinners and pastries after meals and flowers in pretty, passed-through-generations vases. her family had a big farm that’s been there for hundreds of years through the ratcliff family and she spent many summers riding horses, tending to the cows, chickens, pigs and her ma’s honeybee farm. they make quite the profit. she’s kind and conscientious, aspiring teacher, and a happy-go-lucky, calm-cool-and-collected type of girl. she’s content with where she is in life. and she wants to do things, see new places, read and learn all there is. and then she meets boyfriend-turned-future-husband when her dad needs a handy-man and james pennington shows up. she attends the university of washington and completes a program for teaching but goes into the military after graduation because of an opportunity to shoot and fly - and, with a war on, she could kill two birds with one stone and see the world and do something for it at the same time. with her parents a little less than happy and her boyfriend shipping out to the navy, viv takes this in stride. heading to utah, she gets a gig on a plane as a turret gunner before being accepted into Silver Bullets under captain birdie faulkner, the first female pilot of the war for america. the crew builds up, the friendships form and Silver Bullets is the finest B-17 there is. she writes to james, she keeps up with her family and friends back home, she goes to the flying club, and takes early morning runs around base. she’s content. things are good.

then, captain faulkner is KIA. flying a regular bombing run - freak accident with the shrapnel flying through the air. killing her right in the midst of the sky. viv remembers how numbed and equally freaked out francis was - how’d she manage to land a plane and maintain composure? lieutenant annie bradshaw is the newest replacement and finds herself next as the newest pilot of Silver Bullets. viv thinks things are okay, things are looking up.

then, a letter comes in. james pennington is KIA. her world seems to shatter. everything seems to crack open and equally fall apart. she’s half in a spiral and half trying to keep it together in front of everyone else. no one should see her like this. she hardly wants to see herself like this. annie bradshaw and the rest of the crew seems to pull her through; most surprisingly, so does everett blakely. he was always more in the background, a handshake, a comforting pat on the shoulder, willing to check in and move on his way. an all-around gentleman. then, she starts to notice him. at breakfast, at dinners, before missions, after missions, glances through the interrogation tables, before bed when cigarette butts were stubbed out and last minute conversations were held. everett blakely was always there.

then, the Silver Bullets crew is split across half of europe. and yet again, with 40% of the crew MIA, viv is sent to operations and is suddenly stepping into a world where her hands are filled more with pencils and papers and maps then a gun. yet again - without annie bradshaw and francis montez, who became a pilot for a new B-17 crew with quite an annoying co-pilot, viv feels more alone than ever. until ev blakely is there. always there. again. they grow closer than they ever had - breakfast together, sometimes even lunch and dinner, cigarette breaks, sharing coffee breaks, finding moments to take a glance throughout the operations room. moments viv didn’t think much of. until she was heading out for the night and ev invited her to the flying club for a drink and a dance.

and then the war ended. and everyone went their separate ways. and reality hit. and it hit hard. james pennington’s funeral, the reality that the man she was going to marry is now dead, and her family, torn at the edges, crumbling. she’s hurt, filled with a grief she can’t untangle and is lost between what to do and what else there is left for her. until everett blakely starts writing. and doesn’t stop writing. writing the Silver Bullets girls were on thing, but writing ev blakely was different - in his words, his phrases, what he talked about.

they decide to meet, and everything comes flooding back. like the crash of high waves, just as fast, just as harshly. and she doesn’t feel herself turn away like she would. and suddenly, she doesn’t want him to leave. and for the first time in her life, he doesn’t. he stays.

I’ve seen people’s take on the ages of the MM turtles (Leo’s the oldest, Mikey’s the oldest, Raph and Mikey are twins, etc) and here’s MY TAKE:

They’re quadruplets

Look I don’t know about you guys but for once in my time in the fandom I’ve truly felt they’re the same age (or relatively on the maturity level). It could be the teenager/pre-teen VAs, but I don’t get the same ‘they’re different ages’ energy from the MM boys.

Like although Leo’s the anxious one I don’t get the feeling he’s the most anxious because he’s the oldest and the leader and blah blah blah. He’s just a teen full of anxiety.

And Mikey doesn’t feel like the youngest to me (because the scene he had with talking about the watermelon being like his head) but not like the oldest either (because he’s equally fooling around with Raph and Donnie). He’s isn’t some young goofball baby of the family but not a cool oldest sibling either.

And same thing with Raph and Donnie. Donnie for more obvious reasons mostly because the VA I’m gonna be honest but just his general demeanor. He feels like a teenager who happens to be smart, not someone who’s smart but happens to be a teenager.

And Raph doesn’t give me ‘edgy wishes to be leader roughy guy’ he’s just a jock teen who wants to do sports. He doesn’t give off the same ‘second oldest’ energy all the other Raphs (minus Rise Raph) have.

TL;DR: It could just be the VAs and the fact we only got a few scenes in the trailer, but I don’t feel like the MM boys have like ‘youngest to oldest’ energies like most TMMT incarnations do. When I compare them side-by-side they all just feel like quadruplets with different personalities.

ok ok ok ive seen a lot of rockstar eddie and bodyguard steve (and dont get me wrong i LOVE that) BUT-hear me out- Rockstar Eddie Munson and his private jet pilot Steve Harrington 👀

Steve with the pilot uniform, Steve with the aviators, Steve asking Eddie if he wants to see the cockpit and Eddie giving him the most awful grin and saying ‘only if it’s yours’ Robin is Steve’s copilot!!!! and argyle is the flight attendant!!!! Okay so hear me out:

The thing is Steve wasn’t Eddie’s regular pilot, he’s used to seeing Nancy and Johnathan waving to him from the cockpit but after Johnathan and Argyle got together they have to split their routes. So when Eddie is walking up the runway and sees a pilot’s back that he definitely knows isn’t Johnathan he gets a bit edgy, doesn’t know if he’ll take to this new guy and if these pilots will have preconceived notions of Eddie and the band.

But then the pilot turns around, hat tucked under his elbow and gives a lazy two finger salute and a smile to Eddie and that’s it. Eddies done. Hook, line and sinker. He stops in his tracks and Gareth stumbles right into his back ‘dude what the fu-‘

‘Sorry, sorry man, just saw an Angel on earth. Hey I didn’t die on the way to the airport did I?’

Gareth looks back to the rest of the band ‘guys watch it, our fearless leader has a crush. Get ready for a change to the heartbreak set list again’. Eddie turns to protest and is met by a slew of abuse. He’s not that bad. Maybe. Possibly. Okay so there was one time!…maybe two…three at a push! Eddie doesn’t have time to think before Argyle is shouting to him

‘hey my dudes! Welcome back to the sky boat. As frequent flyers I can trust to all to respect the airways and they’ll respect you. I provide the peanuts you provide the music. We’ll be in for a sweet ride’

Eddie gives him a slap on the shoulder before sliding up to the pilot and thrusting his hand out, ‘hi. Eddie munson. Are you my stairway to heaven?’ The copilot, name of Robin embroidered onto her uniform, let’s out a wonderfully evil laugh as the pilot grips Eddie’s hand

‘ahoy there guys, if you are ready to explore the skies I’ll be your captain, I’m Steve Harrington’. Steve is already kicking himself. ahoy there??? Ahoy??? What is he a sailor??? A sailor who can’t even speak to pretty boys?? Hes a professional but clearly his brain doesn’t care! He knows Robin is going to give him so much shit for this as soon as they are alone. It’s quickly forgotten when Eddie takes Steve’s hand up to his mouth, giving it a quick kiss ‘it would be an honor’ and he makes his way into the plane. The band spend the rest of the flight taking each other’s hands and planting sloppy kisses on them, making sure Eddie knows exactly how ridiculous he looked

while i was drawing these, i figured out what people mean when they talk about muscles flowing in the pose. I just just figured that out though so i would definitely like tips on how to apply that etc
