The Great Femslash February Index Post

When I promised myself I'd start writing more, I probably should have committed to actual original fiction, but I didn't, so here we are. Unlike the book, the movie is not as upfront that this is a sapphic story, but my in-the-closet teenage self sure did pick up on those vibes.

Idgie never fit into society but she found a way to make a wonderful corner for herself. A popular diner and the returned love of her best friend.

This is a year-long commitment but I'm up for the challenge.

what's a series (4 or more main books) you always recommend because it's awesome?

gotta be honest with you i typically don't read series bc it always feels like way too much commitment. so my answer for this is from a series that I never even actually finished sdohfsoi (someday. someday I will return) but I really really love the aubreyad books! totally not something i'd normally pick up (historical boat novels???) but ngozi ukazu (the author/artist of check please) was super into them around the time I met her and totally convinced me to give them a shot and they're SO fun and someday i will conquer all 21 of them i just need the motivation

A new baby! Very shy, but that’s to be expected at first. I got a few quick snaps before putting her* into her new home to get adjusted. She’s in a temporary/QT sterilite tub with paper towels. Bare bones stuff so I can quickly spot mites or anything else.

*Unsexed, so I just decided to call her a girl for now. Will find out after her first vet appointment.
