They say the Grand Inquisitor wears robes like a jedi still, and no one knows why. Perhaps, people murmur, it is a sign for the Jedi still on the run, still running from the Empire. Submit, and you will be spared. Perhaps, others say, it is a form of mockery.

No one knows why.

They say the Grand Inquisitor used to be a Jedi, one of the best, that he trained the others. They say that it is because of him and Vader that the other Inquisitors are as strong as they are now.

They say the Grand Inquisitor is rotting, though. From the inside out. There is a tangible darkness that is covering him slowly, eating away at all he touches.

They say the Grand Inquisitor had a title once, the Battlemaster. But now he is known as the Dragon who Brought the Temple down.

Everyone always is like ‘what about sith obi wan’ ‘what about sith Ahsoka’, I think it would be cool to see other Jedi as Sith. And the current Grand Inquisitor was a Jedi Temple Guard, why not just buff that up to the boss of the Temple Guard? 

As an extra spicy take: The current Grand Inquisitor still serving as an Inquisitor, being the First Brother as Cin has no care for the ‘brother’ ‘sister’ terms. He serves as Cin’s second in command. 

Vader and Cin still would kill one another for a cornchip tho, thats unchanged.

Seriously, though. RIP Kenobi, if Cin was at the reigns I dont think he would’ve managed to get away the first time Reva was on the same planet as him. Cin would’ve hunted him down and ended him too easily. Or at least, thats how I see it.

He wonders if a goodbye would have made it better or only more painful.

The ride to the Fortress Inquisitorius passes by in a haze of fear, seeming to take hours as Cal’s dread grows more and more overwhelming, the urge to jump out the window or something similarly insane growing more and more powerful. The Sixth Brother’s promise to keep his friends safe is the only thing keeping him from doing something like that. Whatever happens to him, it’s worth it for them. 

(Whether that was proved to be true or not remains a mystery.)

Inquisitor Au which always has inquisitor!Ann meeting people for the first time by her slowly spinning around in her fancy evil chair while petting Darth Bubbles the Loth Cat.

Prompt: Will I see you again? (Inquisitor AU; Cucumi is force sensitive, and one of the first inquisitors)

It was never meant to last.

Tefir glares at the mask the First Child dons before every assignment; aches to tear it off and rip it into pieces, taste the blood on his fingertips from glass shards embedded in his flesh. He would relish in it, the pain and the anger and the fear, if it meant they would go with him.

The hallway they stand in is bathed in red light, dimming periodically with the screaming alarms. Dark marble floors span out endlessly in front of him, Cucumi's figure merely a blot of shadow amongst others-barely discernible from behind his visor. The longer he stares, the more the streaks of quartz along the walls seem to swallow them whole.

Silently, ever the predator, they stalk forward and grab the bottom of his helmet. He waits while they drink in his emotionless facade, finally tilting his chin down in a gentle movement, their will slipping for just a moment. Then Cucumi is taking a shuddering breath, their shoulders squaring before they snarl at him furiously.

"Leave. Do not look back. He knows, and there is nothing I can do but give you time. Tell the rebellion what you want; forget me if you need. Just. Go."

Their hand shakes where it hangs on to his beskar, and quickly, before they can protest, he catches it and interwines their fingers. The growl building in their chest amounts to nothing more than a distressed whine, hitching into something hysterical when Tefir lifts his helmet enough to press a kiss to their joined hands. If they focus hard enough, they can feel his warmth even through the worn leather.

So softly he has to strain to understand, they murmur, "Thank you for letting me love you. Even just this much."

With the last of their willpower, Cucumi rips away from him, curling their hand into a fist against their chest.

"Now go!" They cry desperately, head whipping around at the sound of footsteps far down the hall.

Tefir nods and tenses in preparation to run, already moving backwards. He clears his throat, forces back the tears he knows will come.

"Will I see you again?"

Cucumi stares into the dark for what feels like an eternity.

"I don't know. I...I hope so."

They turn then, casting a final longing glance over him, before taking off towards the approaching footsteps.

"I love you!"  Tefir calls fiercely to their now retreating back.

"I won't forget."

sith au amera

anyways originally sith au amera originally wasn’t going to get canon amera’s prosthetic but i’ve changed that since i drew these.

anyways there’s your basic everyday sith au (pretty much a légal obligation for people with jedi ocs atp.) tomilan dies, etc etc, it’s what i was thinking of when i’ve done all the sith au art. (sith au: gold jewelry, decadent vibe, flowy robes and scarves held in by corsets etc etc. inquisitor au is normal inquisitor stuff.)

there’s also the inquisitor au. but wait! aren’t the inquisitors just sith anyways? there are a few key differences tho!

in the inquisitor au, lunain stays alive long enough to figure out what’s happening and decide to join the empire. she convinces amera to do the same. key difference! tomilan is still alive.

the inquisitor au is mostly a thing so that i can bring one scene into fruition that i am currently in the process of writing.

MORE DMW(S) AU THINGS

I finally got around to posting this to tumblr! This is the longest thing I've written to date and I'm very pleased with it.

This is the Inquisitor!Cal / ISB!Bode AU that's been living rent free in my head for the past few weeks.  The endgame is Bode/Cal softness, but it might be a long road getting there. Buckle up!
