Well, I wanted to draw her again, so, meet Ana Sofia 'Aristides' Morales, or how she's also known in Tortuga's lawless streets 'Sombra'.

She's a survivor. Resilient, cunning, and loyal to death when you earn her respect. She's also very guarded emotionally, you know-- because of traumas.

She's the main character of my Pirates of the Caribbean fanfic "The Tides that Bind Us"; I've been rewriting since earlier this year. You can check it out in Ao3 -- link

Birth name: Ana Sofia Elena Salazar Morales de la Torre.

Aliases and Other Names: Mr. Morales, Aristides Morales, Sombra, Alejandro Salazar, petit shadow.

Age: 28-29 (around the events of DMC)

Orientation: bisexual/pansexual

Parents: Doña Isabella Morales de la Torre (d) // Capitán Armando Salazar (d) — (yes, that one).

Nationality: Spanish. Born in Seville.

Skills: Ana is an expert thief, a seasoned sailor and a remarkable fighter. She's good with knots, likes to cheat in card games. Great at reading people to trick and manipulate them.

I wanted to make sure she looked androgynous enough, because of her male alter ego 'Aristides'. She also doesnt not use her father's name. That's a secret no one knows... yet.

Backstory below the cut.

Backstory: When Ana was 6 years old, her mother died in childbirth, along with Salazar's unborn son. Unable to process the grief and the loss, raised Ana as a boy, Alejandro (the name he was going to give his first born son). She was a cabin boy aboard the 'Nuestra Señora del Silencio' (The Silent Mary), until her 12th birthday when she bled for the first time. Since her womanhood could no longer be disguised, Armando sent her to a convent, back to Sevilla. She was sent to marry a Marquis in Cartagena, New Granada at 13th, but she killed him and escaped. She arrived to Tortuga as a stowaway.

That's when she came up with a new identity as a young man 'Aristides Morales'. Madame Rosette the owner of a notorious pleasure house in Tortuga took her under her wing. Madame rosette taught her all about stealing secrets and how manipulate people.

She met Joshamee Gibbs, recently disgraced and discharged from the navy and helped him out or a fight, in exchaged Gibbs vouched for Aristides to be hired as deckhand aboard a smugglers ship. (A lot of things go bad here but that's for the story to handle)

She learn This is how she met Jack Sparrow at age 17. Aristides robbed him and, when Jack realized, he tracked the 'lad'and offered him a job. Since then its been an long business relationship. (You’ll see how it is in the story lol).

To make sure that the baby was kept away from their enemies,he was deemed dead at his birth and was made to live at the Guerrera Mansion while his parents mourned him publicly.But in 2000,Marcos had begun to show signs of his Lycan heritage but Isabella didn't want her son to deal with this until he was of age.Before they could find a witch to bind him,a witch and her son had approached the Guerreras.They had told the witch to leave but she told them,that she knows about Marcos and his condition,so they let them in their home.

Carlos watched as Francesca and the witch named Annalise talk about her services,while Isabella watched her son and Marcos interact but Annalise had turned to Carlos and asked them in return that,Marcos would marry her son Desmond,a witch from the Dalliencourt bloodline of witches,when they came of age to create a unified pack/coven.His brothers were mortified at her request but Carlos could see the boy's connection,he knew from his wife,that Lycan have mates unlike his kind and that Marcos had growled at his uncles when they attempted to touch Desmond and he even grew claws to protect him from them.Francesca had told their brothers to stand down and she asked Carlos what he wanted to do with Annalise's request,and he agreed as Isabella smiled at him.With that,the first spells that Annalise performed for them,was binding Marcos's Lycan side and boundaries within their home.But before they left,Annalise had warned Isabella and Carlos that Francesca might be the reason their family will end.They had taken her words in and but Francesca was able to get enchanted moonlight rings and gave them to her brothers.

They each killed their bodyguards and due to this,they activated their werewolf gene and then used their newly-gained werewolf abilities to attack the vampires,including Elijah Mikaelson resulting in the majority of the vampire community of New Orleans dying from werewolf bites,Francesca also handed the still-pregnant Hayley over to the witches in exchange for the moonlight stones, as the witches were intent to sacrifice Hayley and her part-witch daughter on their Ancestors's orders.

After gaining the moonlight stones,Francesca and her brothers,along with their Crescent wolf ally,Oliver,leveraged their new physical power into more political power over the city and gained control over the supernatural factions of the French Quarter.

During the four month time jump,the Guerrera werewolves had been controlling the city.Under their rule,any vampire who entered the French Quarter was to be killed on sight, and the pack had made an alliance with the witches,led by Cassie Harrison(who was possessed by Ástríðr Mikaelson),who had agreed to make the wolves more moonlight rings.Taking advantage of the fact that their own moonlight rings weakened Klaus during every full moon,Francesca and her family/pack decided to seek out the white oak stake and kill the Originals once and for all, not knowing that Klaus and Elijah, with help from Hayley, Marcel, Joe and Josh, had their own plans to strike back once the full moon hit its apex.Francesca sent her lackeys to the Mikaelson compound to subdue Klaus,where Hayley and Elijah killed every werewolf(except for Oliver)who invaded their home.Meanwhile Klaus went to the Guerrera mansion,where he proceeded to kill all of the Guerrera's wolves and Francesca's brothers,which include Carlos.

But as Klaus killed everyone else in the home,he checked the last open room to see nothing but a room for a little boy and with pictures of Carlos and Isabella with pictures of Marcos as a baby before he died.He left as he was reminded of Hope and giving her up to keep her safe.But unknown to him,Isabella and Santiago,Marcos's personal bodyguard stood in the room with her son in her arms.As Santiago pulled a gun at Klaus,Isabella stopped him before he vamped away.Meanwhile Francesca,fearing for her life, fled before Klaus could kill her,only to be attacked and killed by Hayley on the road as she was fleeing town.

A few days later,Santiago and Isabella was able to find Francesca and buried them in their St.Ailbhe Cemetery but before they left,she found a femur bone in Benito's grave with a old note that spoke of the Guerrera's guarding the bone since their family were known as the Navarro Family before the survivors changed their names to the Guerreras to escape Klaus Mikaelson's fury in the 1700s and that bone was one of the keys to a great evil buried in New Orleans called the Hollow.

After the funeral and taking her son to New York City,Isabella married Santiago after falling in love with him and Marcos took his mom's name as he grew up amongst his mother's pack.

Years later,in 2021,the family had decided to take a trip down to New Orleans but during the trip,their parents had quickly canceled it due to meeting someone from their past.As they drove out of New Orleans,their car was suddenly thrown off the road,as Selwyn helped his sister and brother out of the car,he was mortified to see his mother being drained of blood by a man in a suit with their father at his feet.William told them to run but Selwyn tried to stay but his sister grabbed him to run.The last time he heard his brother were his blood-curdling screams as they dragged themselves into the woods.

But as they dragged their injured bodies into the woods,they were soon found by a redheaded woman named Eve Bloom.She asked them if they wanted to be strong enough to avenge their family and they both consented to her question.Without a spilt second,Eve sired them as they died to their injuries.

After completing the transition,Eve helped get their family cremated and decided to mentor them after Aya Al-Rashid offered to recruit them into the Strix,since they wanted to kill the one murdered their family,Elijah Mikaelson.

Chapter One: Saint and Sinners

"Y aunque camine por valles oscuros, no temeré mal alguno, porque tú estás conmigo..." Father Herendez’s voice echoed through the domed ceiling of the cathedral, a quiet thunder that settled on our shoulders like ash. Sunlight spilled through stained glass and danced across the floor in fractured blues and golds, making even the dust in the air seem sacred. I sat perfectly still in the front pew beside my mother, hands folded over my lap, my rosary cool and familiar between my fingers.

“El Señor es mi pastor, nada me faltará. He guides us in the silence, tests us in the noise, and redeems us in the fire. Let your hearts burn not with pride or hatred, but with humility and grace. In this city of noise and shadows, may the Lord be your peace.”

I slowly lifted my head to look back at Father Hernandez as he finished the sermon. His eyes were closed, his hands still raised. A few murmured Amens rippled through the crowd before the pews began to creak with movement. It was the end of Mass.

Outside, the summer heat clung to the stone like breath. My mother pulled out a fan and fanned herself while Papa leaned down to whisper something in her ear. She nodded. Then he turned to me.

“Isabella,” he said, soft but firm, “stay with your mother. I need a word with Father Herendez. Business.”

The way he said business told me it wasn’t something to ask about. So I just nodded, lowering my gaze. That was when I saw it-or, rather, heard it first. The low purr of a modified engine breaking the church’s hush, then the screech of tires on stone. I turned my head.

A green 1946 Chevrolet Impala came crawling to a stop along the curb like some kind of beast waiting to pounce. It gleamed against the ancient church walls like something from another world—unholy, almost. Around it stood a group of boys, all tattoos and swagger, loud laughter and louder silences. But it was the one leaning against the hood who caught my breath.

Matheo Lopez.

Even without the stories, without the rumors whispered between pews and behind lace fans, I would’ve known who he was. There was a danger in the way he stood—chin tilted, arms crossed, cigarette smoke curling around his jaw. He wasn’t like the boys at school who tried to look tough. No, he was tough. There was no pretending in those eyes.

Then, without a word, he stepped away from the car and started walking toward the church.

Before I even realized what I was doing, I called out to him. “Why would someone like you step into a church?”

He paused, turned slowly, and raised an eyebrow. The smirk on his lips was all sharp edges.

“Who might you be?” he asked, voice like a match being struck.

I hesitated before answering. “Isabella Salazar.”

That smirk widened, and he gave a low, knowing whistle. “Ah. La princesa. Never thought I’d meet you.”

He tilted his head toward the church. “Your papa’s in there, no?”

My mouth was suddenly dry. I could only nod.

“What’s your business with my father?” I asked, trying to sound confident, even as my fingers twisted the rosary at my side.

He looked at me then—not just at me, but through me—and I felt exposed, like he could see right past the clean dresses and whispered prayers.

He flicked his cigarette to the ground and crushed it under his boot. “See you around, Bella,” he said with that same dangerous smile. “Got some business to take care of.”

And just like that, he turned and walked into the church, where my father and Father Hernandez were supposedly handling “business” too.

I stood there, heart hammering against my ribs, the sacred and the sinful colliding in the space between a goodbye and an unanswered question.

And behind me, someone whispered the last word of the day’s sermon.

“Amen.”

dorian didn't answer straight away. he watched the scarf fall between them like a line in the sand, like something delicate and deliberate—like something she wanted him to notice. he did, of course he did. he noticed everything when it came to her.

with everyone else, it was simple. he knew the game, knew the rhythm of desire and indulgence, knew how to take what was offered and offer something glittering in return. but with isabella? she unsettled him. she didn't play the same way. he could never quite tell if she was inviting him in or demanding he stay out. and gods help him, he wanted to find out.

he didn't comment on it, despite the teases that formed on his forked tongue, not like he would for anyone else. not for her, she was different. he leaned back, nursing his drink, and turned his attention to her question. "you know me." his lips curved into that salazar smile. "came away mostly unscathed. the nest still stands, thank the stars, otherwise tortuga itself might fall." he laughed, a deep rumble.

"but i didn't see you before." he narrowed his eyes, perceptively taking in all of her features. he would know if she was in tortuga, it was as though he could feel it. as though that hair of hers was the flame that lit all of his instincts on fire. "did it bring you in?" unspoken, in his eyes, he asked, are you all right?

Their eyes met, and she knew, for a moment, she would be his this evening. Then came his words that were as sweet as honey and felt like a balm to her icy heart. She could not understand why he was so sweet with her. It was honestly a mystery that plagued her thoughts as well when it came to Dorian. She had done nothing to deserve it, yet he was a fountain of kindness.  At his request, Isabella knew full well that she was stranded on Tortuga until she could get her ship fixed again. Her crimson, red-tinted lips spread into a small smile at his request. "I can be persuaded to leave at noon instead," she teased, softly.

Isabella carefully takes her hand back from his touch so she can move around to sit next to him, easily settling into the cushioned couch. The woman took a moment to undo the emerald-colored scarf she had tied on her head, red hair falling freely with a gentle bounce, finally letting herself relax after a hard day. A drink is placed in front of her by the server she normally sees when she comes around Tortuga. It was nice to know they were still doing well from the looks of it. 

She placed her scarf between the two of them as if it could create a barrier between them, tucking a bit of her hair behind her ear, before looking at him again. "Pray tell, how has the wreckage affected you?" Her way of asking how he was doing, if he needed anything, without flat out asking.

because victor says he’s like the glue that keeps his family together and that’s? not okay? he’s SIXTEEN he should not be keeping his entire family together. like, isabella praises him for always stepping up and making sure things don’t go to shit when she’s the mom! that’s her job! on his birthday he needs to make sure he has a cake, his mom and abuella don’t fight and his homophobic family dont say anything to his friends. i hate the adults in this show because they are so useless!
