I really only started drawing fanart back in April because I wanted to be able to do this eventually🤭💓 I remember the first time I tried to draw in a more illustration style back in March, I was like🤨😐🤔 how do they (the amazing artist here) do it😔😔😔 (IT WAS REALLY BAD OKAY). I started drawing all of the HL characters like crazy and posting my progress here, eventually working up the courage to post about Eloise, and then eventually bits and pieces of my writing🥹

FORD AND FRILLS from TheNocturneNarrator's A Second Chance fic (chapter 15)

This scene broke me utterly so of course, I had to make the drawing. I had so much fun with Frills and all their pink colors. I also made Frills crying because idk empathy? It feels like Frills would cry with Ford. I loved how there was "a comforting presence" with him. He definitely needed that.

Ford may have been a spontaneous and impulsive jerk, but he's ready to make up for his mistakes now, I think. Probably. No telling where this fic will go, and that's one of the things I love about it!

A small update here. Apologies for not getting the second part of chapter 3 out last month. It currently sits at just over 60k (the full chapter is at nearly 170k now), and still has a lot to go. I'm trying to write as quickly as possible, but...full disclosure, I've been struggling.

This chapter continues to be cursed, and I'm at a really low place with my writing. Nothing feels good, and while I know I need to write first and worry about quality later, it's hard to get the motivation to power through when it all feels so...lackluster.

Still. I'm doing my best to work through the block and to keep plugging away at part 2. My fiance assures me that what I've written isn't as bad as I feel like it is, so that's something.

Sorry that this is a bit of a bummer update. I feel like I say this a lot, but I'm really hoping to have wrapped up the chapter by end of month. I hope everyone is doing well, and thank you all for your patience <3

“Yeah,” says the customer. He shoves his hands in his pockets, and then seems to think about something. “But, actually. What’s, like. The best flavour of crisps?”

“Er. Any… occasion?”

“Nothing super special. I just want to hear an opinion.”

Oscar blinks. His mind is piecing this together, wondering if this is a trick. He usually is asked about things like cheese, or game meats, or seasonal berries. Not really crisps, though. Most people had their own preference already.

“I’m being so serious,” the customer-wearing-a-baseball-cap says.

i love ritsu teru dynamic in my head so much i keep forgetting they barely have any canon interactions. like im sorry ritsu would Not hate teru for being in love with mob he’d be like “well as long as my brother is okay with it :)” and then go back to his sudoku. and then teru deliberately opens up like a 16x16 sudoku and starts working on it while friendly chatting. they have also been banned from doing 2 player puzzle games unless both mob and a responsible adult are in the room i think

FOR REAL like i literally do not understand where the idea of them not liking each other came from at all aside from like. people extrapolating ritsu being overprotective from him not liking reigen? when vitally reigen is a. a fraud b. annoying. every interaction we see between teru and ritsu aside from their first one is polite and friendly, reigen went out of his way to invite ritsu to teru's beach vacation which he would not have done if they didnt get along (hes good at reading people!!! he would know!!! he invited him because hes his friend!!!)

like even in the terumob scenario, the closest analogue we have is tsubomi where ritsu was more wary about her hurting his feelings than anything, and given that teru very much seems to be like. the one who would be making the first move in that scenario i feel like thats totally nullified.

ANYWAY one of my favorite activities is imagining those two in various competitive games against each other bc i have the entrenched worldview that in all other scenarios they get along like normal polite middle school kids but the SECOND ego is on the table it gets so serious. uno is a bloodbath. mario kart killed people. and then the second the game is over theyre like "wow good game ^_^ hope to see you again soon!"

@jundsthoughts I have a friend who I can absolutely rant the hell out of my stories and concept ideas and we basically gave the supposedly simple fic, a whole life with kids and a job. Now it has to pay taxes and shit. This means it might take longer to prepare for and write...but on the other hand, I decided I'll post the second chapter anyway, and If I need to rearrange things, I can just do that. Have this in the meantime plus a snippet :)) How does it sound to you so far?

I've finished the full draft of the next chapter of Transfer Motive and I'm very excited to fix it up and post it!!! Aiming for it to be fully finished sometime next week?? Depends if I suddenly want to rewrite an entire scene or something!!!
