How User-Centric Design Elevates Custom Software Development
In today’s digital landscape, successful software applications share a key trait: exceptional user-centric design. This approach prioritizes users' needs and preferences, leading to intuitive, user-friendly software. By focusing on user research, prototyping, and usability testing, developers can create superior custom software that meets user expectations, enhances satisfaction, and drives engagement. Embracing user-centered design not only boosts usability and efficiency but also provides a competitive edge, ensuring the long-term success of software projects.

Construction details in the realm of 3D Printing as shown here. Plastic part assemblages are simultaneously modular and customized. Fixings are either mechanical (M fixings, nut and bolt) , geometric (internal tongue and groove) or chemical (slow or rapid setting epoxy or other chemical anchoring). 3D models of fixing details help to assess, visualize and reiterate fixing details prior to manufacturing the actual parts. Optimisation of various ergonomic factors are addressed in each iteration. Design and 3D printing operate in a constant feedback loop, the one group informing the other until a desired or determined outcome is achieved. . . . . . . . . #assemblage #attachment #axonometric #3dprinted #3dprinting #3dprinter #3dmodel #construction #custom #design #detail #ergonomics #feedbackloop #fixing #geometry #geometric #instagram #instagood #iterativedesign #lightengineering #madeinsouthafrica🇿🇦 #mechanical #modular #optimization #plastic #productdesign #standleg #support #visuals #visualize (at South Africa) https://www.instagram.com/p/CQ8m56fL2ax/?utm_medium=tumblr

Iterative Design within the Big Apple...
So this would be my take on a 40 min long video presentation about Iterative Design by two members of Apple’s UX/UI Design team.
The very first thing that was clear to me was in regard to the roles each of the speakers had within the Design team due to the specifics of the content they were communicating, the main speaker being clearly more oriented towards UX and the secondary more visually inclined (UI).
I was very interested on the key differentiations the UX guy made about users and product owners’ goals, and business and app goals, making it easier to dissect the project’s scope to assertively answer key questions about the product and it’s contextual variables in order to impact users’ lives through quality design.
Another key insights that the UX guy highlighted during the presentation was in regard to assimilating that even though we use apps, our perspective can not be the solely considered point of view as it is obviously limited and biased because we perceive according to our wiring... but then again, the hidden treasure for me was in the very distinctive emphasis he made when mentioning that everyone can’t be your user either -Which was basically one important feedback from my first solo project-.
Sincerely writing, when the UI guy cloned the app’s screen in 3 minutes using Keynote I felt so low that I only got better when I stopped and looked at all the work I've done these past three weeks and started writing the post about my experience so far, I guess experience is obviously key, but seriously... 3 minutes?!
Progressively, they started adding variations of the original design in order to have a wider range of options to decide from, and even though this implies extra work... it was pretty clear the importance of having different iterations in order to create good and quality designs, which according to the speakers at the very beginning of the video... It’s no easy task.
See you...

Talking about Iterative UI Design with Apple
Here is a link to an Apple talk video in Cupertino
Here few quotes that I’d like to highlighted
First, you are not the user.  If you design for yourself, you risk building in preconceptions and biases about the user experience that might be completely wrong for everyone else.
You need to focus on the essential characteristics of your target audience.

“Start with what you know”
Watching this video gave me this idea while I’m working on a project, I start with something that I already know and fight against this blank page problematic anguish.
At the 15’22’’ Jonathan Cho shows us how to keep the visual guidelines of the app, by using the reference

At the 20′ Ryan Olshavsky shown different screens: explained the evolution of the possibilities “And again you can do that by organizing your content into different layouts, playing with text size, color, weight, and font.”

Last night I went through some iterative designs for one of my main characters for this new project I made for myself. I came up with a starting point I'm excited about. Maybe we will get so progress on the actual character drawing today, but progress is progress! I also may take part of today to really figure out her hair/makeup situation so we will see! ________________________ #zephyrdrawsstuff #characterdesign #character #charactersketch #iterativedesign #costume #costumedesign #digital #digitalsketch #mongolian #mongolianinspired #futurefantasy #artistsofinstagram #instaart #dailyart #artoftheday #dailysketch https://www.instagram.com/p/BuEqrKdlZZN/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=17jreh6sn9lwe

Evaluation!
Throughout the seven stages of the creative problem-solving process, Team Aquamarine worked collaboratively to identify weekly objectives, delegate accomplishable tasks, and regularly communicate our design progress noting points of constructive criticism and successful accomplishments. After presenting our Implementation phase of Kideo, showcasing the user experience, product design, and business model, we regrouped to analyze our classmates’ feedback to compare their responses with our intentions. Noting the high interest in Kideo’s playground, we sought out to further develop the feature to emphasize the educational, social, and emotional benefits within our final presentation. Additionally, we determined the need for our presentation deck to be initiated. Breaking down our weekly tasks, we split off to complete the UX/UI design iterations and presentation deck.
Of the methods and techniques reviewed, I find that team Aquamarine has consistently optimized feedback from our classmates, or Jury of Peers, as we remain conscious of our diversity in careers and backgrounds. Consequently, I find that the consistent exchange of feedback has fostered my personal ability to provide constructive criticism to other teams, my team, and myself in my personal work. In reflecting on the tools we used in class to communicate criticism, I found that the Google Sheets format worked best to efficiently and effectively provide and collect feedback. As opposed to the chat offered in Zoom, I could write, reflect, iterate, and repeat without dividing or incorrectly addressing my thoughts. Additionally, the spreadsheet format encouraged me to write more, diversified feedback, and saved time by pre-collecting team notes.
Through reflecting how I can achieve my Personal Best, I find the weekly journals to be extremely insightful for tracking individual and group productivity. Looking back at my posts, I can refer to moments of strengths, weakness, pivots, and opportunities that can further reform our current project or frame a future endeavor. I can also look back at specific tools, methods and techniques that resonated to my group, elevated the overall experience, and fostered professional growth. Looking forward, I plan to maintain this practice - although I ponder other platforms that could replace Tumblr to help elicit a feeling of personal reward.

Final product from my teacup stack (is any product ever final?). I printed 2 more copies of the line drawing and kept coloring. I don’t feel like the most original creative design-maker but the thing with creativity is the more you use it, the more of it you end up with :) * * * #tea #teacups #coffee #patterns #greetingcards #invitations * * * #watercolor #watercolour #penandink #art #drawing #painting #iterativedesign #artistsoninstagram #commission

Up to this point, our boundary was set quite arbitrarily, taking very minimal parameters, if any, to create the boundary for the design space. By using a series of logic, as well as other factors that influence the site, we have narrowed down our potential design space. The first stage was to create an offset from nearby obstacles; those being the foliage on site and the bounding fence. A 2m offset was decided as this would allow adequate space for access around the design space. Our next step was to overlay a light study onto the site. The study encompassed the summer months; the time period in which the pavilion is functional, and through the light study and data gathered, we narrowed the design space further, to include areas of higher light concentrations, as going forward, this is one of the factors that will influence our programmatic approach. Having realised our design space, we also explored how the design space would impact one of our initial factors: views across the site. There are areas of the site that can only achieve a certain degree of view, whilst others allow for a full 360° view throughout the site and beyond. These spaces were mapped to site to give us an understanding of the location of the spaces that would allow the best views.
